Sheriff's Office
-- Deputies responded at 9:49 p.m. on Tuesday to a report of burglary on state Route 14 in Unity Township. No other details were provided.
-- Deputies assisted the Ohio State Highway Patrol at 9:17 p.m. on Saturday with a private property crash on state land at Zeppernick Lake on state Route 172 in West Township. North Georgetown Fire Department and Sandy Creek EMS also on scene.
Liverpool Township
-- Dylan Walsh, age and address not provided, was issued a mandatory court date and citations for driving with no license-sixth offense, driving with no license plates-second offense and unsafe vehicle following a July 25 traffic stop on Irish Ridge Road. First Class Towing impounded the motorcycle.
-- Noel McCoy, age and address not provided, was issued a citation and court date for speeding in a construction during an Aug. 1 traffic stop on state Route 7. McCoy was clocked at speeds varying from 64-76 mph in a 55-mph zone.
-- Zachary Shanor, age and address not provided, was stopped by officers on Homestead Avenue on Aug. 1 for a dark tinted cover on the license plate and was issued a citation and court date for improper display.
-- Officers responded to Kountz Avenue on Aug. 2 and spoke with a male who is the manager for Shelly Company who is doing work on state Route 7 on behalf of ODOT roadway project. The male told officers he noticed a piece of equipment missing and that at 5 p.m. on Aug. 1 all the equipment was on site. When he arrived on Aug. 2 at 9:30 a.m., they found an rented air compressor missing and it was a cost of approximately $60,000. The male was able to provide information for and photos of the missing compressor.
-- An officer responded to state Route 7 on Aug. 3 for a single-vehicle accident. A female told the officer that she was following a red Chevy truck with a trailer when the driver of the truck hit a pothole which caused a loose tire to bounce off the trailer, roll across the highway and hit a guardrail, then bounce in front of her truck before striking her vehicle.
Wellsville
-- Bryan Veglia was arrested following a hit and run incident in which he was the driver on July 29. In addition to the hit and run, Veglia did not have a valid driver's license, no insurance and was driving a vehicle with fictitious tags and one he did not own.
-- Officers responded on Aug. 1 to King's Carry Out for an accident in the parking lot. A report was filed.

-- Officers responded to the 500 block of Hawley Avenue at 2:40 p.m. Thursday for a report of fraud. The caller advised that someone had stolen her identity and taken out an electric account in Houston, Texas, and she received a bill for $521 and she needed the matter to be documented for the electric company, bank, and collections.
-- Officers responded with the fire department to the 200 block of Vine Avenue at 12:22 p.m. Thursday for a reported ambulance needed. Officers and firefighters were advised of a person experiencing a medical issue who was then transported to a local hospital for further evaluation by EMT.
-- Officers responded to the 200 block of Ohio Avenue at 10:44 a.m. Thursday for a report of criminal trespass. Officers checked the exterior of the residence but were unable to check the interior due to all doors being secured.
-- Officers spoke to a woman at the police department at 10:35 a.m. Thursday regarding their vehicle being egged at their residence. The woman advised that she has been having issues with another individual and believes they may have egged her vehicle. Officers advised a police report would be made.
-- Officers responded to the 500 block on Continental Drive at 10:33 a.m. Thursday for a reported 911 hang-up call. Officers spoke with the resident who advised they did not call and were okay.
-- Officers spoke to a man at the police department at 10:23 a.m. Thursday who believed somebody had broken into his vehicle. The caller advised that he found a piece of hair on his middle console and wanted a report to be made.
-- Officers responded to the 1000 block of East Third Street at 10 p.m. Thursday after a juvenile called 911, but dispatchers were unable to determine the issue. When officers arrived, they found the juvenile had called due to issues with a language barrier and the matter was an issue over someone being loaned money and not paying it back. The officers were able to advise the adult involved that the matter is civil and to contact an attorney.
-- Officers responded to the 300 block of Newgarden Avenue at 8:45 p.m. Wednesday for a reported domestic dispute. Officers were advised that a live-in boyfriend and girlfriend got into a verbal altercation, but no threats of violence were reported. Officers stood by until the female half collected property and left the residence.
-- Officers responded to the area of Highland Avenue at 8:31 p.m. Wednesday for a report of a vehicle parked in a prohibited parking zone. Officers attempted to locate the driver but were unsuccessful, and a parking ticket was issued.
-- Officers responded to the 300 block of West Sixth Street at 6:25 p.m. Wednesday for a report of an open door on an abandoned residence. Officers checked and the interior of the residence was gutted, and no one was inside.
-- Officers responded to the 900 block of East State Street at 5:37 p.m. Wednesday for a report of suspicious activity. The caller advised a woman was sitting in a vehicle with another woman on the side of the building. The caller advised there have been several drugs deal in the parking lot, but the vehicle had left prior to the officers' arrival.
-- Officers responded to the 1200 block of Cedar Ridge Drive at 1:56 p.m. Wednesday for a wellness check. Officers spoke with the woman and advised her to contact the caller.
-- Officers responded to the 100 block of South Broadway Avenue at 1:24 p.m. Wednesday for a reported assault. The caller explained that yesterday at his place of employment when he voiced his opinion over a lack of effort from another employee the other employee's brother punched him several times. The caller did have visible injury to his upper lip from the assault and pictures and a written statement were taken. The caller just wanted the incident documented at that time and was deciding what to do at that time.
-- Officers responded to the 900 block of Homewood Avenue at 11:57 a.m. Wednesday for a reported neighbor dispute. The caller advised they were upset that the neighbor's cat was on their property which resulted in an argument. Officers advised all parties involved the city ordinance regarding animals.
-- Officers responded to the 500 block of Franklin Street at 11:49 a.m. Wednesday for a report of suspicious activity. The caller advised that the doors to an unoccupied residence were chain locked from the inside, but nobody was living in the residence. Officers checked the residence but did not locate anyone, and the caller requested an extra watch on the residence.
-- Officers responded to the 500 block of East Fourth Street at 10:51 a.m. Wednesday for a wellness check. Officers spoke with the woman who advised that she was okay and would contact the caller.
-- Officers responded to the 500 block of North Ellsworth Avenue at 9:50 p.m. Tuesday to serve an active warrant. Officers attempted to locate the wanted person, who was not at the residence at that time. Officers were given permission to check the inside of the residence, and everything checked okay.
-- Officers responded to the 600 block of East Ninth Street at 9:24 p.m. Tuesday for a wellness check. Officers spoke with the man who advised that he was okay and was just having an argument with his girlfriend.
Leetonia
-- A Salem man reported at 3:15 p.m. Tuesday that around 4 a.m. that morning, he observed a white box truck near the intersection of Walnut and Main streets strike a utility pole when making a right turn. The driver stopped, exited the vehicle to observe the damage before returning to the vehicle and driving off.
-- Police responded at 9:32 p.m. Monday to the 600 block of Columbia Street regarding a 911 open line, where juveniles could be heard yelling in the background. After a quick check of the residence and denials of the accidental call, the officer left the scene without incident.
-- A suspicious vehicle was reported at 10 a.m. Friday in the 100 block of Main Street.
