-- Officers responded to the 100 block of West State Street at 2:09 p.m. Monday for a report of harassment. The caller advised that he has been receiving unwanted messages from a person they know and were also contacting members of his family. Officers advised the man of the options for dealing with the situation. Officers were able to make contact with the person who was reportedly making the calls and advised him to cease his actions.
-- Officers responded to the area of Mullins Street at 12:40 p.m. Monday to assist the Columbiana County Drug Enforcement Task Force with a traffic stop and a search warrant of a residence.
-- Officers spoke to a woman at the police department at 10:40 a.m. Monday regarding a person to be removed from her residence. Officers advised the caller of the process and responded to the residence to speak with the other person involved. Officers found the person in question had already left.
-- Officers on patrol in the area of North Ellsworth Avenue at 2:51 a.m. Wednesday ran a registration check on a vehicle which down the owner to be suspended and conducted a traffic stop. Officers spoke with the driver, Crystal Hoskinson, 32, Salem, and issued a citation for driving under suspension. A passenger in the vehicle had an active warrant through Columbiana County, which was confirmed and the passenger, whose name was not listed, was taken into custody and transported to the Columbiana County Jail.
-- Officers responded to the 100 block of West State Street at 11:15 p.m. Wednesday for a wellness check. Officers spoke with the person in question who advised that everything was okay.
-- Officers responded to the 500 block of Aetna Street at 8:39 p.m. Tuesday for a report of intoxicated people on the roof of a residence. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate anyone on the roof.
-- Officers on patrol in the area of South Lundy Avenue and East Perry Street at 7:50 p.m. Tuesday conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle and contraband was observed in plain view and officers conducted a search of the vehicle. Officers collected the contraband, and the driver was given a verbal warning.
-- Officers responded to the 2800 block of East State Street at 6:22 p.m. Tuesday for a report of a suspicious man. Officers checked the area and observed no crimes.
-- Officers spoke to a person by phone at 5:12 p.m. about an unknown person stealing gas from his neighborhood. Officers advised the caller of their options for dealing with the situation.
-- Officers spoke to a man at the police department at 4:46 p.m. Tuesday regarding the police possibly looking for him. While speaking with the man officers discovered he had an active warrant for his arrest out of Columbiana County. Officers placed the man, Blake Solmen, 23, into custody without incident, processed him and transported him to the Columbiana County Jail.
-- Officers responded to the 2300 block of East State Street at 3:29 p.m. Tuesday for a report of a stolen credit card from Hanoverton being used at a business. Officers located the suspect information with the assistance of the Columbiana County Sheriff's Office, which took the original report, and recovered the property and returned it to the owner. The case is pending at this time.
