-- The Portage County Sheriff's Office called at 2:32 p.m. Tuesday to request a deputy make contact with a person on North Ridge Place, Hanover Township, and have them contact the Portage County Sheriff's Office. A deputy spoke with a family member who advised the person was not there, but they would make contact with the person and tell them to call.
-- A man from Bedford requested a report be placed on file at 10:17 p.m. Saturday regarding another man pushing him into the pool at Timashamie Campground, Georgetown Road, Butler Township, damaging his cell phone and insulin pump.
-- A deputy was dispatched at 8:38 p.m. Tuesday to West Main Street, Salineville for a person making suicidal threats. The deputy spoke with the person, who was fine.
-- A suspicious vehicle was reported at 8:04 p.m. Tuesday parked in the Discount Drug Mart parking lot, state Route 45, Lisbon, for over four hours. The vehicle left before a deputy arrived.
-- Deputies were dispatched at 5:19 p.m. Tuesday to South Lane Drive, Hanover Township, for a domestic dispute.
-- A woman on Black Road reported at 5:04 p.m. Thursday that her neighbors cut down a tree on her property and damaged some of her property. She said the neighbors told her the tree was on their property. She was advised to contact an attorney.
-- A man on Grant Street, Center Township, reported at 4:42 p.m. Thursday that within the last month, someone has been gaining entry into his residence and his personal documents, W2, shampoo and vitamins were missing. He wanted a report on file.
-- A deputy, along with Columbiana Police, assisted Beaver Township Police at 9:54 p.m. Wednesday with a missing juvenile on West Garfield Road, Beaver Township, Mahoning County. The juvenile was located and was fine.
-- Deputies were dispatched at 8:45 p.m. Wednesday to Middleton Road, Fairfield Township, for a person making suicidal threats. Upon arrival, New Waterford EMS was transporting the person to a hospital in Mahoning County.
-- Deputies were dispatched at 6:56 p.m. Wednesday to Hartley Road, Knox Township, for a domestic dispute. The caller, a 15-year-old juvenile, said her friend's stepmom was breaking items inside the residence. Deputies spoke with a man who said he just got there and his live-in girlfriend had just left. He said there was no problem, that she had broken some items inside the residence. Deputies spoke with the woman, who also said there was no problem. She said she left the residence.
East Palestine
-- Officers found an open door at the high school on W. Grant St. at 11:31 p.m. on Wednesday. The school was checked and the door was secured.
-- An officer observed high grass and weeds at the residence on W. North Ave. at 8:32 a.m. on Wednesday, A zoning warning was issued to the property owners.
-- Officers conducted a welfare check at 10:37 p.m. on Tuesday on E. Martin St. after a report a woman was threatening self harm.
-- A resident on N. Market St. reported a possible fraud at 3 p.m. on July 23. The man reported that he had received a call claiming his Walmart account had been hacked. The man advised the caller he did not have a Walmart account and was supposedly transferred to the Attorney General's Office. The man was told he was linked to terrorist groups and drug smugglers and then was asked for a copy of his drivers license. The man hung up without providing the caller with any information.
-- Officers responded to N. Market St. railroad crossing to a report of suspicious people on the tracks at 2:02 p.m. on Tuesday.
-- A female dropped off a dog she found running at large in the area of West St. The owner was located through the dog license and the dog was returned to its owner.
-- Officers responded to E. Clark St. in reference to a possible domestic disturbance at 9:50 p.m. on Monday.
-- Officers responded to the area of Garfield Ave. at 7:29 p.m. on Monday in reference to a child yelling.
-- Officers responded to Garfield Ave. at 4:36 p.m. on Monday for a disturbance. Faith McKeel, no age or address provided, and Kirsten Mirabelli , no age or address provided, were arrested for domestic violence.
Perry Township
--Officers responded to the area of Georgetown Road at 11:25 p.m. Wednesday for a report of a reckless operator. The driver in question was later located by Salem officers and officers stood by until no longer needed.
--Officers responded to the 400 block of Country Club Lane at 9:43 p.m. Wednesday for a report of a suspicious vehicle. Officers located the vehicle and spoke with the driver who was lost and trying to pick up his brother from the Salem Country Club. Officers followed them until they reached the country club and stood by until he located his brother.
--Anthony Gomez IV, 18, Salem, was cited for reasonable to control after his vehicle on North Lincoln Avenue went off the roadway striking a ditch and rolled onto its passenger side while attempting to turn onto East Eleventh Street at 3:26 p.m. No injuries were reported.
--Officers responded to the 1800 block of Cliff Drive at 12:54 p.m. Wednesday for a reported domestic complaint. Offices spoke with all parties and determined no threats were made nor did any physical altercation occur.
--Officers responded to the 300 block of Plymouth Place at 11:31 a.m. Wednesday to take a report of identity theft. The caller advised that someone from Indiana had used his information to open a credit card and make a purchase at Best Buy. Officers discussed options with the caller and took a report.
--Officers responded to the 900 block of Benton Road at 10:21 a.m. Wednesday for a reported water line break. Officers conducted traffic control until the water was cleared from the roadway.
--Tanner Egli, 21, Salem, was cited for a stop light violation after his southbound vehicle on U.S. Route 62 struck a vehicle driven by Mark Mangus, 65, Beloit, at 6:50 p.m. Tuesday. Mangus was transported by EMT to the Salem Regional Medical Center for minor injuries.
--Officers responded to the area of West State Street and State Route 45 at 1:57 p.m. Tuesday for reports of a reckless driver. Officers searched the area but were unable to locate them.
--Officers responded to the area of North Lincoln Avenue at 12:53 p.m. Tuesday for reports of a reckless driver. Officers searched the area but were unable to locate them.
--Officers responded to the 1000 block of West State Street at 6:19 a.m. Monday for a report of a stolen vehicle. Officers were advised that a blue 2015 Kia Optima was stolen between the hours of 11 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. The vehicle has been entered into the stolen vehicle database.

-- Officers responded to the Salem Regional Medical Center at 6:38 p.m. July19 in reference to a man yelling near the emergency room and punching the walls. Officers found the man was not a patient and left the premises after speaking with officers.
-- Officers responded to the 100 block of West State Street at 6:06 p.m. July 19 to assist the Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force, seizing $60 cash as evidence.
-- An East School Street resident reported at 5:58 p.m. July 19 being harassed by an ex co-worker.
-- Officers responded to the 500 block of Walnut Street at 4:47 p.m. July 19 in reference to juveniles at a Bank Street residence harassing juveniles from the Walnut Street residence. Officers spoke with all the juveniles and their parents and advised them to stay within their own yards.
-- An officer responded to the 700 block of West State Street at 4:13 p.m. July 19 in reference to a woman feeling depressed with thoughts of suicide who wanted to go to the hospital. The woman was transported by ambulance to St. Elizabeth's Hospital.
-- An officer responded to the area of South Broadway Avenue and Aetna Street at 3:44 p.m. July 19 in reference to a man and woman in a verbal fight walking down the road when the man punched the woman in the stomach. The officer spoke with the man and woman in question who said it was just a verbal argument.
-- Officers responded to the 400 block of East Pershing Street at 7:41 p.m. July 18 in reference to a domestic dispute in which a driver was seen punching the victim while driving a truck when the victim jumped out of the truck and the driver ran over her foot while fleeing the scene. Medical personnel responded and the victim was transported to the hospital. The matter is under investigation.
-- Blake Surmaceviz, Salem, was arrested on an active warrant out of Columbiana County for sexual imposition after officers responded to the 500 block of Continental Drive at 6:39 p.m. July 18 and found him to have the warrant.
-- Officers responded to the 100 block of West State Street at 5:05 p.m. July 18 to assist the Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force detain a person and transport him back to the station.
-- An officer responded to a bank on South Lincoln Avenue at 2:43 p.m. July 18 in reference to a irate customer who was creating a disturbance and spit on a teller's hands. The customer was trespassed from the business and advised the bank would be contacting her regarding her account.
-- An officer responded to the 200 block of Continental Drive at 2:27 p.m. July 18 where a resident reported $400 had been stolen from her overnight. The resident reported the money was in her walker the prior afternoon and was gone when she woke up that morning.
-- An officer responded to the 400 block of East School Street at 12:28 p.m. July 18 where a resident reported an issue between her juvenile daughter and another juvenile female that had spent the night at the residence. The matter is under investigation.
-- Officers responded to the 600 block of East State Street at 9:23 a.m. July 18 where a caller reported a large amount of money had been taken from the business. The complainant provided video footage of the incident and the matter is under investigation.
-- Officers in the area of Pershing Street and South Broadway Avenue at 12:48 a.m. Thursday spoke to a group of juveniles who were out past curfew. Officers spoke with the juveniles, collecting the relevant information and advised them to move along and get home for the night.
-- Officers responded to the area of East State Street and North Broadway Avenue at 11:36 p.m. Wednesday for a report of a reckless operator. The caller advised that a vehicle was traveling into the other lane of traffic multiple times almost striking other vehicles and going into ditches. The caller advised that bystanders had the vehicle stopped to prevent an accident. Officers spoke with the driver, Brenda Henry, 51, Canton, observing multiple indicators of impaired driving. After a series of tests Henry was taken into custody for OVI and transported to the police department to be offered a breath test, which was accepted, and returned a blood alcohol level over the legal limit. Henry was charged with OVI and issued a mandatory court date.
-- Officers spoke to a person by phone at 9:33 p.m. Wednesday for a report of fraud. The caller advised that they received a text message claiming a fee for the turnpike needed paid and that after clicking on the link and paying the amount demanded the caller discovered the text was fraudulent. The credit card company for the card used was contacted and needed the caller to file a police report. A report number was provided.
-- Officers on patrol in the 900 block of South Union Avenue at 7:47 p.m. Wednesday observed a vehicle parked in a prohibited parking zone. The driver of the vehicle could not be located, and officers issued a parking citation.
-- Officers responded to the 2500 block of Lexington Avenue at 6:44 p.m. Wednesday for a report of criminal trespassing. The caller advised a man was seen at the apartment complex parking lot that management did not want on the property. Further investigation showed a tenant who lives at the complex wanted the man there.
-- Officers responded to the 200 block of West Fifth Street at 4:46 p.m. Wednesday for a reported barking dog complaint. Officers spoke with the owner of the residence and advised them of the complaint, and the owner stated they would bring the dog inside.
-- Officers responded to the area of East Pershing Street and Eastgate Plaza at 3:33 p.m. Wednesday for a report of a woman holding a sign asking for money. Officers located the woman and advised her that she cannot solicit in the city. The woman advised she was sorry and will not do it again and contacted someone for a ride "which promptly arrived on scene to pick her up."
-- Officers responded to the area of East School Street and East Sixth Street at 3:28 p.m. Wednesday for a report of a suspicious person acting strangely and possibly under the influence. Officers checked the area and numerous interconnected alleyways, but nobody was located.
-- Officers responded to the 2000 block of Monroe Street at 1:23 p.m. Wednesday for an animal complaint. The caller advised their cat went crazy and was attacking their child. Officers were able to get the cat into a travel cage and the caller advised the cat had never acted like that before and they will find it a new home.
-- Officers responded to the 100 block of Ohio Avenue at 12:35 p.m. Wednesday for a report of a suspicious man attempting to get into a car that was potentially armed. Officers located the man in question who did have a knife which he threw to the ground along with other personal items. He was found to be a juvenile and under the influence of an unknown narcotic, and the fire department and EMT responded. EMT transported the juvenile to the emergency room for treatment and the caller advised they did not want to pursue any charges regarding the juvenile attempting to enter the car at that time.
-- Officers responded to the 800 block of East Sixth Street at 12:04 a.m. Friday for a person to be criminally trespassed from a residence. The person was not present when officers arrived, and information was collected from the resident about the matter. Officers later spoke with the person to be trespassed and they were served the notice, which was signed.
-- Officers responded to the 1800 block of Maple Street at 11:09 p.m. Thursday for a reported domestic dispute. The dispute was found to be between the caller and their adult son who was also arguing with his girlfriend in the home. The parties were separated and spoken to, and the dispute was found to be verbal only. The caller's son elected to leave the residence for the night to prevent further problems.
-- Officers responded to the 2200 block of East State Street at 9:26 p.m. Thursday for a 911-hang-up-call. Officers checked the area and surrounding locations, and no problems were located.
-- Officers on patrol in the area of Rose Avenue and East State Street at 8:38 p.m. Thursday ran a routine registration check on a vehicle that showed its plates to be expired. Officers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and spoke with the driver Gabino Camarillo, 28, Akron, and further investigation showed the driver to not have a valid driver's license. Camarillo was cited for no operator's license and issued a warning for the expired tags, and Kaisers Towing responded to impound the vehicle.
-- Officers responded to the 200 block of South Howard Avenue at 6:19 p.m. Thursday for a reported civil dispute. The caller advised that she has a shared driveway and a neighbor threatened to have her vehicle towed. The vehicle involved was observed to be on the caller's side of the driveway, and their landlord advised her to file a report.
-- Officers responded to the area of North Ellsworth Avenue at East Seventh Street at 5:56 p.m. Thursday for a report of theft. The caller claimed that a known man walked up to him, took $260 dollars from him and ran away. Officers spoke with the man in question who denied taking any money from the caller and gave consent to search his person with no money found. The matter is under investigation.
-- Officers responded to the 400 block of East Perry Street at 4:12 p.m. Thursday for a report of an individual riding a bicycle that had been observed to have taken several packages from the front porch of a residence. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate the person in question. Information was gathered and officers will follow up with the resident soon.
-- Officers responded to the 800 block of East School Street at 2:17 p.m. Thursday for a reported reckless operator. Officers were advised that a vehicle had almost struck the caller's vehicle while exiting the park. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate the vehicle.
-- Officers responded to the 2200 block of Merle Road at 2:08 p.m. Thursday for a report of suspicious people. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate them.
-- Officers responded to the 300 block of Roosevelt Avenue at 1:46 p.m. Thursday for a reported dispute. The caller advised she got into a verbal argument with her husband about needing to go to the hospital for a possible sprained foot, but he was refusing, and that he pushed her, but she also pushed him back. She didn't want anything done and just wanted a report on file.
-- Officers on patrol in the area of North Lincoln Avenue and East Sixth Street at 1:32 p.m. Thursday observed four weight base plates in the northbound lane of North Lincoln. The base plates were removed from the roadway and placed in a nearby curb lawn.
-- Officers responded to the 500 block of East State Street at 1:125 p.m. Thursday for a report of criminal damage to a motor vehicle Officers checked the front driver's side tire, which had a large gash. The caller believed somebody slashed the tire sometime overnight.
