-- Officers responded to Sherman Street at 3:32 a.m. on Monday to an active residential burglary alarm. Officers arrived on scene and checked the exterior of the residence finding no sign of forced entry or tampering on any exterior doors or windows.
-- Officers at 12:06 a.m. on Sunday to Smith Oil for a truck that had rolled into a tree. The truck rolled across the parking lot, crossed Vine Street, and struck a tree in the front lawn of the Lepper Library.
-- Officers responded at 9:51 p.m. Saturday to the area of South Green and West Lincoln Way for a report of a semi being stuck. The driver was cited for driving off of state routes.
-- Officers responded at 8:23 p.m. on Friday to Maple Street for a report of barking dogs. Officer patrolled the area for a short period of time and observed the dogs sitting outside but they did not bark.
-- Officers responded at 12:58 a.m. on Friday to Applegrove for a neighbor complaint. The caller reported a man had been smoking and blew smoke in her face. She stated that he has been "mean to females living there lately" and that she had already notified staff. The man stated that the caller had been upset with him for smoking, and that he told her he was allowed. He denied blowing smoke in her face. Officer advised the man to stay away from the caller.
-- While on patrol, officers were flagged down at 5:06 p.m. on Friday by a man who reported a possible domestic on East Chestnut Street. Officers made contact with the parties who both advised it was a verbal altercation.
-- Officers were advised at 11:56 a.m. on Thursday by a deputy that a vehicle leaving municipal court was being driven by a man with a suspended license. The vehicle was located at McDonald's. A male and female subject were detained after a traffic stop and it was reported "that the male and female had switched spots while coming to a stop." Both subjects were arrested. No further information was provided.
-- Officers responded at 4:16 p.m. on Thursday to East Chestnut Street and spoke to a man who reported his landlord is throwing his belongings away and claimed he still has 10 days left on the lease. No court paperwork of evictions or lease was presented and the man was advised to get his belongings out of the residence.
-- Officers responded at 10:02 p.m. on Wednesday to West Washington Street for a custody dispute. Upon arriving, officers spoke to a man who said that after his wife had attacked him and ripped his chain. He stated that he just wished to retrieve his items and leave. The woman reported that she had grabbed him and he had then thrown her off into a wall. No marks were observed on either party.
-- Officers responded at 7:27 a.m. on Wednesday to North Jefferson Street for a custody dispute. Upon arriving, officers spoke to a woman who stated her husband had left with their two children. The woman also reported a verbal altercation that turned physical the night before with her husband. The man later came to the station and denied there had been a physical altercation.
-- Officers were dispatched at 9:13 p.m. on Tuesday to state Route 517 for a welfare check regarding self-harm threats from a male subject. Officers were unable to make contact with the subject at the residence but were able to later make contact by phone. The subject said he did not wish to inflict self harm and had no idealizations or suicidal thoughts.
-- Officers took a report at 9:12 p.m. on Tuesday regarding juvenile children playing outside at all hours of the night without a guardian visibly present on South Beaver Street. The caller reported that the children were being loud or disruptive and kept him up through the night by enticing his dogs to bark. The caller was advised an extra watch would be posted and officers would inquire if an adult was present in the household at night.
-- Officers responded to East Washington Street to conduct a welfare check at 10:58 p.m. on July 13. Officers made contact with the subject.
St. Clair Township
-- Corey Gouldsberry, 34, address not provided, was arrested for criminal damaging on July 10 after police responded to the 16000 block of Cincinnati Avenue for a disturbance call. The victim who lived with Gouldsberry said he had sent them images of a fire pit and a message he was burning their belongings. An inspection of the fire pit revealed articles of clothing in it and Gouldsberry said he did set fire to the victim's clothes.
-- Officers had a male driver find a valid driver to come pick him up after he was found sleeping in his car while stopped at a red light on Irish Ridge Road on July 10. The driver who told officers he had Suboxone earlier in the day gave officers permission to search him but not his vehicle. A K9 gave a positive alert on the vehicle which officers then searched and found a magnetic container with burn caps and cotton balls with suspected heroin residue on them. The items were taken as evidence and the male was released to at the scene when a valid driver picked him up.
-- Officers responded to the Glenmoor Gas Station for a drive off after a driver pumped $94 worth of gas and then drove off. The clerk said he started the pump for the driver because his card wasn't working at the time. The sheriff's office reached the driver who made an agreement with the gas station owner to come in and pay for it the next day.
-- Officers stood by at a residence on Bell School Road while a male gathered property from the residence at the request of the ex-wife due to an argument the couple had earlier in the day.
-- Christopher Slasor, age and address not provided, was given a mandatory court appointment following a traffic stop on state Route 267 on July 12 for traveling at a high rate of speed on his motorcycle. Slasor does not have a valid driver license and did not provide proof of insurance. The motorcycle was towed by Calcutta Towing.
-- A couple decided to spend the evening apart after police responded to the 12000 block of Echo Dell Road on July 15 due to a verbal argument between the couple.
-- Officers responded to a disturbance in the 16000 block of state Route 267 on July 15. A female who was yelling and being unruly because she didn't want to return to her grandmother's house.
East Liverpool
-- Officers responding to a fireworks complaint on Ohio Avenue on July 8 found a father and two children lighting off firecrackers. The father told officers to look at the playground sign that says when children can play. The officer responded that the sign has nothing to do with fireworks and the next time officers get a call he will be cited.
-- Alexandria Smith, 29, address not provided, was issued a citation for marked lanes and OVI following a traffic stop on West Eighth Street on July 9. An officer initiated the traffic stop after seeing Smith drive into the opposite lane and continue to travel for approximately 600 feet. An officer noticed an open container of alcohol in the vehicle during the stop and noted the smell of burnt marijuana. Smith after arguing with the officer agreed to a field sobriety test when the officer told her she could be taken into custody for OVI if she refused. The officer noticed signs of impairment during the test. The officer then had her do a portable breath test in which she blew a .200. She was then advised she was under arrest. At the police station she refused an intoxilyzer breath test and was read the BMV Notice of suspension, given her citation and released.
