-- Officers responded to the 1200 block of Elberon Avenue at 6:16 a.m. Sunday for a report of firework debris on a neighbor's vehicle. Officers were able to remove the debris and did not see signs of obvious damage.
-- Officers responded to the 600 block of Brittany Lane at 5:19 p.m. Saturday for a report of property damage. The caller advised that around 7:30 a.m. Someone was in his house, and he had a window screen cut. Officers spoke with a neighbor who had video footage of a man walking in his backyard around the same time and officers determined the person in the video was the same person who had already been taken into custody for burglaries earlier in the day. Officers took statements from the caller and neighbor and will be filing additional charges.
-- Officers responded to the 900 block of West Pidgeon Road for a burglary in progress at 8:13 a.m. Saturday. Officers were advised that a man entered through the rear door of a residence when a dog alerted and scared him off. Officers were given a description of the man, Dakota McCluskey, 32, Kensington, and located him in the 700 block of West Pidgeon Road taking him into custody. Officers were later advised that McClusky had also entered an attached garage in the 1700 block of Hearthside Drive, and McClusky was transported to the Columbiana County Jail charged with two counts of burglary and three counts of criminal trespass.
-- Officers responded to the 1800 block of North Lincoln Avenue at 11:40p.m. Saturday for a report of a possible theft. The caller was able to locate the item from a family member.
-- Officers responded to the 1800 block of North Lincoln Avenue at 5:06 a.m. Saturday regarding the whereabouts of a juvenile. Officers explained the court paperwork to the family.
-- Officers responded to Speedway at 1:09 p.m. Friday to assist Salem officers with a vehicle that had struck a guardrail on Georgetown Road. The driver, Terriann McFarland, 58, Salem, was cited for reasonable control and was submitted for a retest through the BMV.
-- Officers responded to the 700 block of Benton Road at 1:17 a.m. Friday for a report of three suspicious individuals running through someone's backyard. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate them.
-- Officers responded to the 700 block of Benton Road at 9:55 p.m. Wednesday for a speak with officer report. The caller advised that at approximately 9 p.m. a vehicle parked across the street from his residence and a man knocked on his door but left before they were able to speak with or identify them. The resident is requesting extra watched by officers.
-- Officers responded to the 800 block of West Wilson Street at 6:26 p.m. Wednesday to assist the Salem Police Department. Officers assisted until no longer needed.
-- Officers spoke to a woman at the police department at 12:10 p.m. Tuesday for a report of identity theft. The caller advised that since May she has been shorted $800 from her social security check. The caller advised that when she called the Social Security Administration, she was advised that her social security number was used by someone for small business purposes. Officers took all pertinent information and cleared without incident.
-- Cynthia Moore, 61, Struthers, was cited for improper backing after her southbound vehicle on North Lincoln Avenue attempted to pass a vehicle driven by Sean Manning, 22, North Lima, and failed to provide enough space to re-enter her lane of travel, causing it to strike Manning's vehicle and lose control, driving through a ditch, into a yard, and into a tree line. Moore was taken to the Salem Regional Medical Center where she was cleared without injury.
