-- Ryan Keith Dickey, no additional information provided, was arrested shortly after midnight July 5 in the area of Columbia Street and Lisbon Road on charges of OVI and failure to control, after receiving reports of a motor vehicle rollover. Upon contact with him, he emitted an odor of alcoholic beverage, while slurring his words, when questioned. While removing him from the vehicle, Dickey began projectile vomiting and more than once admitted to consuming alcohol prior to operating a motor vehicle, according to the report narrative. Upon further investigation of the crash scene, it is believed that Dickey was eastbound on state Route 344 near 342 Columbia St. At one point, he continued traveling eastbound on the berm, striking an utility pole which forced the vehicle upside down and inoperable.
-- Police responded at 8:31 p.m. July 6 to a fight in progress at state Route 344 and West Main Street. They were unable to locate the fight.
-- A Washingtonville man reported that a resident from 200 block of Ridge Street allegedly had threatened to burn the house down due to a bedbug infestation. The Washingtonville man is the home's owner. The resident was advised that he needs to communicate better and transferred to the village's zoning department for additional information.
-- Police investigated a juvenile complaint about children in the street at 11:09 a.m. July 5 in the 300 block of Columbia Street.
-- Devin Decker, of Boardman was issued a warning regarding possible disorderly conduct and obstruction at 10:49 p.m. Sunday at the Corner Tavern Bar, after police investigated a loud crowd on the back patio. Decker was uncooperative with police. The owner also trespassed a Zachary Taylor from the premises.
-- Police responded at 4:38 p.m. Monday to a complaint regarding a 15-year-old unruly juvenile. According to the boy's mother, she had grounded him but he disobeyed her and walked to Leetonia school for football practice anyway against her wishes. He refused to get in the vehicle. An officer talked to the teen about the benefits of submitting to his mother's authority and the ramifications of not. Eventually he agreed to accompany his mother home in her vehicle, after the situation had been de-escalated.
-- Columbiana police asked for an assist from a female officer at 6:20 p.m. July 5 in the South and Bayshore area of the city. The officer arrived on scene to search the female driver for them and located no contraband.
