-- An officer responded to an alarm drop at 1:38 p.m. June 30 at Leetonia K-12 campus, 450 Walnut St., where he found music coming from within the football locker room. A football coach advised that he had to retrieve some items from the school cafeteria and had used door 15 before securing it.
-- A female resident of the 300 block of State Street had advised that her vehicle, an orange Dodge truck, had been taken shortly before 5 a.m. June 26 by an unlicensed and uninsured driver. Police had noted that the victim had allowed the male subject, whom she shares a child with, to drive the vehicle previously even though she filled out a stolen vehicle report. The female subject had called at 9:47 p.m the evening before regarding the couple being involved in a domestic dispute at the residence over alleged infidelity. At that time, a responding Leetonia police officer advised that the alleged victim and her mother, whom she resided with, shouldn't engage the male. The female had repeatedly contacted police to notify them of the male's attempted contacts to retrieve his property from the residence.
-- Dispatch received a call from Columbiana Police Department at 4:26 p.m. Tuesday in the area of Beeson Mill and High streets regarding a reckless driver exiting their jurisdiction south on Beeson Mill Road toward the village. The driver, Charles Mellott, of East Liverpool, was unable to produce a valid operator's license and had to be woke up when the officer approached the vehicle. The officer reported Mellott had been "shaking excessively" and had "slurred speech." Due to being out of Leetonia jurisdiction, dispatch contacted the state patrol. The officer further noted that Mellott attempted to get out of his vehicle at one point when he was back at his cruiser and "moving around inside his truck nervously." The officer cleared upon the Ohio Highway Patrol's arrival at the scene.
