-- Officers responded to the 300 block of North Ellsworth Avenue at 2:18 p.m. Thursday for a dumping complaint. The caller advised that he found debris on his property and when he checked his security cameras, he observed a man bringing a wheelbarrow of dirt and other debris onto the property and dumping it. Officers advised the caller they would check the surrounding houses for the person.

-- Officers responded to a business in the 2800 block of East State Street at 2:18p.m. Thursday for a reported shoplifter. The caller advised that a woman took multiple items and left without paying. Officers advised the woman, Rebecca Steed, Washingtonville, that she would receive a summons from the Columbiana County Court.

-- Officers responded to the 500 block of North Union Avenue at 8:56 p.m. Thursday for a reported animal complaint. Officers were unable to speak with anyone at the residence but were able to contact them by phone and advised them of the complaint.

-- Officers responded to the 400 block of East Fifth Street at 7:30 a.m. Thursday for a parking violation. Officers located a vehicle blocking a driveway that the caller did not know the owner of. Officers spoke with a few residents in the area, none of whom knew the owner. Kaiser Towing was contacted, and the vehicle was towed from the roadway.
