-- Officers responded to the 400 block of East Fourth Street at 12:53 p.m. Tuesday for a report of a person being held against their will. Officers spoke with a relative of the person in question and they advised them of their current address. Officers then responded to the 2300 block of Southeast Boulevard to speak with the person who invited officers into the residence to check. Nothing was found as it is believed the matter sounds like a disgruntled half of a relationship.
-- Officers responded to the area of Hawley Avenue and East Fourth Street at 9:30 p.m. Monday for a report of suspicious activity. The caller advised people were walking through back yards. Officers spoke with several people who advised they were looking for their lost dog.
-- Officers responded to the 1200 block of Sharon Lynn Drive at 8:21 p.m. Monday to assist Goshen officers. It was reported that several of the residents were fighting and causing problems. Officers remained on scene until the situation was calmed.
-- Officers responded to the 500 block of Continental Drive at 8:14 p.m. Monday for a speak with officer report regarding her juvenile son running out of the residence and meeting up with an unknown man in a vehicle at the road. The necessary information was collected and forwarded to the city's officers with the drug enforcement task force.
-- Officers responded to the 900 block of South Union Avenue at 5:20 p.m. Monday for a reported assault. The caller advised that a juvenile was sitting on his front sidewalk when another juvenile approached, began exchanging words with, and subsequently assaulted the juvenile, resulting in an obvious swollen contusion near the victim's right eye as well as abrasions and bleeding to the left elbow and left knee/shin area. The resident juvenile did defend himself after being attacked and fight back. The other juvenile along with another juvenile left the area toward Ridgewood prior to officers arriving. Video footage of the assault is being forwarded to officers and the victim provided a written statement. Charges through the juvenile court are pending further investigation.
-- Officers responded to the 800 block of West State Street at 2:50 p.m. Monday for a person to be removed. The person in question reportedly got angry because the caller was not interested in making a trade for the person's vehicle due to its poor condition. Prior to officers' arrival the person reportedly drove across the street and a second officer located the person nearby and initiated a traffic stop while information was being gathered from the caller. The individual was confirmed not to have a valid driver's license and the vehicle's registration had expired. Citations were issued and the vehicle was towed by Sinsley Towing and the individuals were trespassed from the caller's business and advised to have no further contact with the caller.
-- Officers responded to the 1200 block of Robin Avenue at 1:32 p.m. Monday to speak with a man about a complaint of trespassing in other neighbors' yards while picking up sticks. The man admitted to going into his neighbor's yard to clean them up. Officers advised the man to stay in his yard and only go into a neighbor's yard with permission.
-- Officers responded to the 2500 block of Lexington Avenue at 1:14 p.m. Monday for a report of male juveniles shooting vehicles in the parking lot with bb guns. Officers checked the area and did not locate any male juveniles or persons with bb guns in the parking lot.
-- Officers responded to the 500 block of North Ellsworth Avenue at 12:52 p.m. Monday to assist the Columbiana County Drug Enforcement Task Force in executing a search warrant. Officers assisted until no longer needed.
