-- Officers responded at 3:51 p.m. on Wednesday to a report of a two-vehicle crash on state Route 164 and one car had left the scene. The driver of the car on the scene advised a white Chevy Malibu had come into her lane causing her to go off the road and struck the guardrail. The driver was transported by EMS to a local hospital.
-- Officers responded at 6:32 p.m. on Tuesday to a report of an ATV being operated on the roadway at the corner of Washington and South Lincoln streets. Officers found the ATV was being operated on the sidewalk and gave the driver a verbal warning to keep the ATV off of the streets or sidewalk.
-- Officers responded to Sherman Street at 5:58 p.m. on Monday to a report of a man with a crowbar and neighbor dispute. At the scene, Richard Richards, no age given, was found with the crowbar in his hands, but advised he and the neighbor were friends and there was no dispute. He also said he was "tired of the cops being called." Richards was named in two reports earlier in the week. On June 20, a resident on Sherman Street had reported at 9:54 p.m. that a decoration was broken on her property and she believed Richards' son was involved. Richards was advised his family was now trespassed from the neighbor's property. Another resident reported that both her cars had been scratched and she believed the man or his son had "keyed" them. The woman alleged Richards had made several threats toward her. Richards was charged with menacing following the June 20 reports.
-- Officers took a report at 1:05 p.m. on Sunday from a man on North Market Street that his father, Brian Pearl, 54, East Palestine, had come to his residence at 4 a.m. and threw water bottles at his window before kicking the door in, causing damage to the door, locks and frame. The man stated he had been afraid to let Pearl in and believed he may have been under the influence of drugs. Once inside, Pearl allegedly said he needed a place to stay and was at the residence for two hours before leaving. During the investigation, officers made contact with a woman who advised Pearl had allegedly admitted to kicking in the door and had also made threats toward his son. Pearl also reportedly made threats toward his son in person. Pearl later came to the station and requested charges be dropped, reporting he broke in because he feared "his son had stopped taking his medication" and that he had already arranged a remedy with the landlord for the damages caused. Pearl was charged with criminal damaging.
-- Officers arrested Nicholas Rice, 26, East Liverpool at 2:28 a.m. on Sunday. Rice was charged with OVI after a traffic stop and marked lanes, following a traffic stop on North Market Street.
-- Officers responded at 11:39 p.m. on Saturday to a report of a suspicious man at a property on East Chestnut Street. The homeowner advised he saw a man who seemed to be looking around the residence but nothing appeared to be taken. The subject was not located.
-- Officers took a call from a man who made a complaint about an " underground taxi service" at 12:59 a.m. on Saturday. The man advised a male driver had dropped him off at his house in Winona and picked up his wife. The man alleged that his wife had left her cellphone behind and he had followed the driver and his wife to Apple Grove to give her the phone. He alleged the driver jumped out of the vehicle with a tire iron and threatened to "split his head open." The man was advised to come in and file a report as well as help the officers identify the driver. The man never came in or called back. Later, the driver came to the station and advised that the man had told him he was going to be arrested and the police were looking for him. The driver stated that he gives rides to low-income people. The driver also advised the incident in question happened over a month ago. The man had followed him holding the cell phone out of the window before cutting him off and driving erratically. The driver did admit to exiting the vehicle with a tire iron but said it was for safety reasons due to his age. He also advised he believed the man waited to make the report because had recently accused the driver of being in a relationship with the woman.
-- Officers arrested Jessica Linder, no age or address given, on an active warrant following a traffic stop at the Circle K at 10:36 p.m. on Friday.
-- Officers spoke to a woman at 9:39 p.m. on Friday concerning a custody dispute and not being allowed visitation with her children. She was advised it was a civil matter.
-- Officers responded to Continuing Healthcare at 9:26 p.m. on Friday to a report of a man refusing to leave. Officers made contact with the man who reported he had "lost" one of his siblings a few days prior and grew upset with family and staff while visiting his sister at the facility. He was informed he was trespassing and was allowed to walk home back to Salineville.
