-- A Goshen Road resident reported at 12:07 p.m. Thursday regarding an incident that occurred some time last year in which a suspect allegedly had inappropriate contact with a juvenile. An officer gather the information and forwarded the incident to detective.
-- Police responded to the area of East Pershing Street and Fair Avenue at 9:11 a.m. Thursday to check the well-being of a man who was passed out near a stop sign. The man did wake up and spoke with officers, showing signs of impairment. First responders and EMT responded and the man was transported to the hospital.
-- Officers responded to the 2500 block of Bentley Drive at 7:30 a.m. Thursday and found the complainant was upset he did not know his medication schedule. An officer spoke with the nurse in charge who was able to provide the complainant with his medication schedule.
-- A North Madison Avenue resident reported at 5:54 a.m. Thursday receiving a suspicious letter in the mail and did not know who sent it. The resident wanted it documented in case receiving any more letters.
-- Officers assisted the Mahoing Valley Human Trafficking Task Force with an arrest in the 100 block of West State Stret at 10:28 a.m. Saturday.
-- An officer responded to the 900 block of Morris Avenue at 10:16 a.m. Saturday in reference to a juvenile who threw an item at her residence, causing damage to her down spout. The victim confronted the juvenile who admitted to causing the damage. The juvenile's mother was advised of the situation and responded to the police station with the juvenile.
-- A Franklin Avenue resident reported at 8:53 p.m. Saturday that while walking a person at a nearby business had yelled at him because he feeds stray cats in the neighborhood. The complainant was advised to contact the humane agent.
-- Officers responded to the 400 block of Continental Drive at 11:48 p.m. Friday in reference to domestic dispute and spoke with both people involved, finding no threats or physical activity.
-- Officers responded to the 400 block of Continental Drive at 7:05 p.m. in reference to domestic dispute and spoke with both people involved, finding no threats were made.
-- Officers responded to the 200 block of West 16th Street in reference to juveniles playing in the street. Officers found the juveniles in question and with them and their mother, advising them of the complaint.
-- An officer at 4:58 p.m. Friday took a report of an assault that occurred at Southeast School. The report will be reported to the school resource office.
-- Michael P. Soures, 36, Salem, was charged with criminal trespassing after officers and several witnesses observed him at a home in the 400 block of Ohio Avenue at 2:48 p.m. Friday.
-- Officers responded to the 300 block of Newgarden Avenue at 5:53 p.m. Friday in reference to a domestic dispute and found that a juvenile had been in a dispute with and her mother and the mother had left the area. The juvenile and a family member were provided a courtesy transport to the Salem hospital emergency room due to an injury to the juvenile's hand.
-- Someone on station reported at 2:59 p.m. Friday being the victim of identity theft, claiming an unknown person had opened a credit card account in his name.
-- Officers responded to the area of East State Street and South Lincoln Avenue at 3:01 p.m. Friday in reference to a traffic signal malfunction and provided traffic control until the city electrician could respond and take care of the issue.
-- A school resource officer was advised of an issue with some students and social media issues at 12:14 p.m. Friday. The officer spoke with the students involved and advised them of the seriousness of the matter.
