--Officers responded to the 300 block of East Fifth Street at 9:54 a.m. Tuesday for a reported breaking and entering. The caller advised that when she arrived at the residence, she observed the front door to be tampered with and her key was not working. The fire department responded to assist with the door, and officers checked the inside of the residence finding nothing to be missing. Photos were taken of the door.
--Michael Warner, Washingtonville, was cited for driving under suspension after his westbound vehicle on East State Street turned into a gas station parking lot and failed to turn striking an ice machine.
--Officers responded to the 700 block of West State Street at 9:18 p.m. Wednesday for a report of a possibly intoxicated driver. The vehicle was located unoccupied, and officers spoke with the driver within a business, advising him of the complaint and finding him not to be intoxicated.
--Officers on patrol in the area of Ohio Avenue and East Pershing Street at 8:21 p.m. Wednesday observed a man on a bicycle with an equipment violation. Officers stopped the man Edward Pittman, 41, Salem. Who had an active warrant out of Columbiana County. Pittman was taken into custody and transported to the Columbiana County Jail.
--Officers responded to the 500 block of East Perry Street at 3:10 p.m. Wednesday for a report of criminal damage. The caller advised she'd been in a verbal argument with her boyfriend and that he had broken the window to her front door. The caller advised that she didn't want to pursue any charges and the boyfriend left prior to officer's arrival.
--Officers responded to the 1900 block of East State Street at 2:39 p.m. Wednesday for a report of a suspicious substance. Officers looked at the substance and determined that it was not narcotics nor narcotics related paraphernalia.
--Officers spoke to a person by phone at 12:57 p.m. Wednesday regarding concerns about a family member. Officers advised the caller of some options for dealing with the situation.
--Officers responded to the 200 block of West Fifth Street at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday for a parking complaint. Officers spoke with the owner and the vehicle was moved.
--Kathy Gill, Leetonia, was cited for failure to yield after her vehicle pulled from a private drive on South Cunningham Road, causing it to be struck by a vehicle drive northbound by Jacob Edgerton, Salem, at 11:38 a.m. Wednesday. No injuries were reported.
--Officers spoke to a person at the police department at 10:56 a.m. Wednesday for a report of possible harassment. While speaking to the officers the caller advised that there was no harassment and that she was mistaken.
--Officers responded to the 200 block of East State Street at 9:25 a.m. Wednesday for a report of a person to be removed. Officers located the person in question walking away from the business. Officers spoke with the man and advised him that he was no longer welcome at the business and that he would be arrested for criminal trespass if he returned. The man advised that he understood and would not return.
