— Officers responded to the Salem Regional Medical Center at 5:25 a.m. Wednesday for a person to be removed. Hospital staff advised that a man who was seen by the facility was refusing to leave. Officers spoke with the man, advising him to leave the property which he did.

— Officers responded with the fire department and EMT to the 1200 block of Cleveland Street at 1:12 a.m. Wednesday for a report of a female juvenile harming themselves. Officers spoke with the juvenile and her mother, observing fresh, self-inflicted wounds to the arms and legs, and the fire department and EMT bandaged the wounds and transported the juvenile to Akron Children’s in Boardman.

— While assisting other officers with a traffic stop on East Pershing Street between Penn Avenue and South Lincoln at 10:32 p.m. Tuesday, an officer observed a man riding a battery powered skateboard in the middle of the roadway. The man, Robert White, 35, Lisbon, was found to be the boyfriend of one of the individuals involved in the traffic stop, and to have an active warrant out of the Columbiana County Sheriff’s Office and was placed under arrest for the warrant. White was transported to the police department for processing and later transported to the Columbiana County Jail.

— Officers on patrol in the area of East Pershing Street and South Lincoln Avenue at 10:28 p.m. Tuesday observed a vehicle commit multiple traffic violations, conducting a traffic stop on the vehicle. Officers spoke with the vehicle’s occupants, having both step out of the vehicle, while K-9 Simon conducted a free air sniff on the vehicle, with a positive indication. Officers conducted a search of the vehicle, locating contraband and a firearm inside the vehicle and took both the driver and passenger into custody and transported them to the Columbiana County Jail for booking. Charges are pending further investigation and BCI results.

— Officers responded to the 2400 block of East State Street at 9:51 p.m. Tuesday for a report of an ambulance needed. Officers spoke with the woman in question who signed a refusal for treatment.

— Officers responded to the 100 block of West State Street at 9:18 p.m. Tuesday to assist the Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force in taking a suspect into custody. The man was taken into custody without incident and cited by the task force prior to release.

— Officers responded to the 600 block of Park Avenue at 6:07 p.m. Tuesday for a property dispute. Dispatch had received a public service request from one of the involved parties that wanted to gather their belongings. When officers arrived, the person was not at the property and the others did not need assistance.

— Pauline Weingart, 69, Salem, was cited for improper backing after her vehicle on West State Street backed into a vehicle driven by Samuel Imhoff, 79, Salem, at 5:39 p.m. Tuesday.

— Officers responded to the 1600 block of Fairview Avenue at 5:08 p.m. Tuesday for a report of domestic violence. Officers found that a fight had occurred with a family member being assaulted, and the primary aggressor, Benjamin Barber, 31, Salem, was arrested for domestic violence and transported to the Columbiana County Jail.

— Officers spoke with a person at the police department at 3 p.m. Tuesday about concerns they were having with a person in the city. Officers advised them of their options for dealing with the situation.

— Officers responded to the 100 block of Rose Avenue at 1:18 p.m. Tuesday for a reported dispute. Officers spoke with both parties who advised the argument was only verbal and that nothing physical had taken place. Officers advised both to stay away from each other.

— Officers responded to the 800 block of Summit Street at 12:28 p.m. Tuesday for a possible domestic. Officers were advised that the person had been in a verbal argument with her husband who had already left the property. The person advised that the argument was verbal only, and that nothing physical had occurred, and made multiple suicidal remarks to officers while they were on scene. Officers contacted the fire department and EMT to respond, and the person was transported to East Liverpool Hospital for evaluation.

— Officers responded to the 1100 block of East Third Street at 11:50 a.m. Tuesday for a reported dog at large. Officers located the dog but were unable to secure it, and the humane agent was requested to respond.

— Officers responded to the 700 block of East third Street at 11:06 a.m. Tuesday for a report of suspicious activity. Officers located the person in question, advising him of the complaint and to move on.

— Officers responded to the 2000 block of Edgewood Drive at 10:51 a.m. Tuesday for a report of solicitors. Officers spoke with the person in question advising them that there was no soliciting in city limits. The person apologized and advised his boss of the same.

— Officers responded to the 1200 block of South Lincoln Avenue at 11:17 a.m. Monday for a wellness check. Officers spoke with the person in question who advised they were fine and would contact officers if they needed help in the future.
