-- Officers responded to the 200 block of West Wilson Street at 11:13 p.m. Saturday in reference to a harassment report. The matter appeared to be jealousy over a woman and the matter was resolved for the time being. The person reporting the harassment was advised to contact police if the matter continued.

-- Officers at 8:43 p.m. Saturday assisted the Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force with the arrest of a man who had driven into the city to solicit prostitution in the 100 block of West State Street. The man was transported to the police department where he was charged with engaging in prostitution.

-- Damien Phillips, 21, Salem, was arrested on a warrant out of Columbiana County for vandalism after an officer on patrol in the 900 block of East State Street at 7:41 p.m. Saturday observed Phillips and knew him to have the warrant.

-- Officers responded to the 900 block of South Lundy Avenue at 3:37 p.m. Saturday in reference to domestic in which the complainant reported a verbal dispute with another man at the home regarding the removal of a Christmas tree. The complainant reported the other man's wife also was involved in the dispute. The wife claimed the complainant grabbed her arm and pushed her out of the way. The complainant claimed the wife slapped him in the back the back of the head. Officers observed no physical marks on either person. The complainant wanted the other man and his wife removed from the home, but was advised he would have to have them evicted since they were residents of the home. The other man and his wife agreed to leave the home for the day.

-- An officer responded to the 2800 block of an East State Street business at 2:40 p.m. Saturday in reference to a possibly intoxicated customer who had driven a vehicle to the automotive center for service work with an open container of alcohol in the middle console. The customer was found in the waiting area and denied knowing the container was in the vehicle, despite having slurred speech. The officer emptied the alcohol container and a store employee moved the vehicle to a parking lot, while the officer provided the customer a ride home.

-- An officer responded to the area of Bently and Cunningham roads at 11:20 p.m. Thursday in reference to a person who was lost and could not his home. Officers found the person in the 2000 block of East Third Street and found he was from a homeless shelter. While officers were attempting to verify the person's residence at the shelter, the person reported chest pains and was ultimately transported to the Salem hospital.

-- Officers responded to the 400 block of West Fourth Street at 10:46 p.m. Thursday in reference to a juvenile problem. Officers spoke with the juveniles on scene and attempted contact with those who were not. Officers had the juveniles contact their parents and issued each a criminal trespass warning.

-- Officers responded to the 500 block of Continental Drive at 8:43 p.m. Thursday in reference to a domestic and observed a juvenile running from the back of the residence, finding him in the wood line behind the residence. The juvenile was transported to Akron Children's Hospital in Boardman due to self farm threats. Officers collected information and will send it to the juvenile prosecutor for charges.

-- Police and first responders responded to the 100 block of North Ellsworth Avenue at 7:44 p.m. Thursday in reference to an intoxicated man with a possible broken ankle and passing out. Medical personnel checked on the man, who signed a refusal for treatment.

-- K9 Simon was requested by the Columbiana County Drug Task Force to free air sniff a vehicle in the 3000 block of Lisbon Road at 4:28 p.m. Thursday. Simon indicated the presence of a narcotic odor and contraband was recovered from the vehicle.
