-- Levi Peck, 19, Salem, was cited for failure to stop for a school bus after the Leetonia schools bus coordinator and a driver reported Peck drove through the bus's red lights and stop sign while a student was departing from the bus at 4:13 p.m. Feb. 14.
Columbiana
-- Officers conducted a traffic stop for an equipment violation on Feb. 10 at 11:01 p.m. on County Line Road. The K9 unit indicated the odor of narcotics during a search of the vehicle and contraband was seized.
-- Officers conducted a traffic stop on East Park Avenue at 10:58 on Feb. 2. The elderly driver was identified as a missing man from Canton. His family was contacted and later picked him up.
New Waterford
-- Officers responded to the 3300 block of Pinewood Drive at 7:04 a.m. Feb. 14 in reference to the theft of package shortly after it was delivered by FedEx.
-- Alex J. Conkle, no age listed, East Palestine, was arrested on a felony warrant through the Columbiana County Sheriff's Office at 10:54 a.m. Feb. 14.
-- An officer responded to the 4600 block of North State Street at 10:04 a.m. Feb. 13 in reference to a parking complaint and an individual driving through a yard. Officers warned the individual not to park or drive through the yard.
Leetonia
-- An officer responded to the group home on High Street at 7:23 p.m. Feb. 13 in reference to a resident hearing voices and wanting to harm himself. The officer stood by until Columbiana EMS arrived and transported the resident to the Salem hospital.
-- Jammie Monroe Dorsey, no age listed, Leetonia, was cited for failure to stop for a school bus after an officer observed her pass a school bus with its stop sign and lights activated on Columbia Street at 4:02 p.m. Feb. 13.
-- Officers responded to a 200 block Front Street business at 8:54 p.m. Feb. 11 in reference to two disorderly patrons. The employee did not wish to pursue charges, but wanted the two men permanently trespassed from the property.
-- An officer responded to the 400 block of Cherry Fork Road at 10:28 p.m. Feb. 10 in reference to the sound of a gunshot, but did not find or hear anything out of the ordinary.
-- An officer responded to a 300 block Columbia Street business at 3:13 p.m. Feb. 10 in reference to an employee who had been fired and trespassed from the property. The officer advised the fired employee not to return or face trespassing charges.
-- An officer responded to the area of Pine Street and Coal Alley at 6:23 p.m. Feb. 9 in reference to a man with no shirt on walking up and down the road screaming at people and cars. The officer was unable to find the man in question.
-- Officers responded to the Leetonia Community Public Library at 5:59 p.m. Feb. 6 in reference to a woman who dropped off a 5-year-old juvenile at the library entrance and left her unattended. Officers were able to locate the woman, who was not identified, informing of the situation and charging her with endangering children.
-- An officer responded to the Eagles Club at 7:48 p.m. Feb. 5 to assist EMS in reference to an elderly man who had collapsed and hit his head, causing a small contusion to the left side of his forehead. The man was found to be okay.
-- An officer on station was advised of a property civil matter at 6:21 p.m. Feb. 5 and learned the items in question were at a house in the Columbiana County Sheriff's Office jurisdiction.
East Palestine
-- Officers responded at 12:55 a.m. on Sunday to report of an alarm at a business on North Market Street. The building was found to be secure.
-- Officers spoke to a man on Alice Street at 2:50 p.m. on Saturday who was requested help with an ongoing issue.
-- Officers responded at 1:48 p.m. on Friday to the area of North Market and East Taggart streets to a report of someone standing on the railroad tracks. Officers were unable to locate the subject.
-- Officers responded at 4:36 p.m. on Friday to North Market Street to reports of loud protesting. Officers found two groups protesting but determined they were protesting lawfully and peacefully.
-- Officers responded at 10:45 p.m. on Friday to a suspicious vehicle parked in a private driveway.
-- Officers took a report from a man on West Martin Street regarding fraud and identity theft at 12:20 p.m. on Thursday.
-- Officers resigned at 3:17 p.m. to Prospect Street for a death investigation on Wednesday.
-- Officers responded at 3:21 a.m. to West Martin Street on Wednesday to a report from a resident that someone was in her garage. Officers checked the poetry but did not see anything suspicious.
-- Officers responded to East Clark Street at 8:12 p.m. on Tuesday for a report of a domestic disturbance and arrested Roy Moffett, no age given, on a charge of domestic violence.
Perry Township
-- Officers responded to the 1900 block of Allen Road at 3:19 p.m. Thursday to serve a felony warrant. Officers spoke with a female resident who advised they were unsure if the person, Matthew Close, 51, Salem, was in the residence. The woman looked for Close unsuccessfully but gave officers permission to enter the residence. Officers found Close hiding in the bathroom and placed him under arrest. Close advised that he was trying to hide his location to avoid arrest. Close was transported to the Columbiana County jail for his felony warrant and charges of obstructing official business.
-- Officers responded to the 1200 block of North Union Avenue at 9:29 p.m. Thursday for a reported burglary. The caller advised somebody had kicked in the rear man door to the garage, damaging the door and door frame, and that the house had been entered and numerous enemies were taken from a bedroom drawer.
-- Officers responded to the 1100 block of West Perry Street at 5:23 p.m. Wednesday for a report of a suspicious piece of mail. Officers determined the mail not to be suspicious.
-- Officers responded to the 1100 block of Prospect Street at 4:02 p.m. Tuesday for a report of a man kicking the door of an apartment and yelling. Officers spoke to the man who advised that he let the resident borrow and Xbox and that he now wanted it back. The resident advised that the man had been kicking the door and trying to look through her windows. Officers advised both parties that the property dispute was a civil matter, and that the man was now criminally trespassed from the property.
-- Officers responded to the 1100 block of Beechwood Road at 1:20 a.m. Tuesday for a domestic violence complaint. The caller advised that she and her mother had gotten into a heated argument and her mother punched her in the head and choked her. Officers gathered witness statements and will be investigating the complaint.
-- Officers responded to the 300 block of Plymouth Place at 6:42 p.m. Monday for a wellness check on the caller's brother. Officers determined the situation was safe.
-- Officers responded to the 1900 block of Newgarden Avenue at 10:20 a.m. Monday for a report of found property. The caller found a gym bag containing pots and pans in his driveway. Officers checked the gym bag and found a towel, mask, pots and pans, and a pair of socks. Officers placed the gym bag in the caller's garbage bin.
-- Officers responded to the 1200 block of North Lincoln Avenue at 1:17 a.m. Monday for a report of threats being made over the phone. Officers took the report and charges are pending. The caller was advised of how to obtain a protection order.
-- Officers spoke to a woman by phone at 10:51 a.m. Feb. 11, regarding an incident that occurred a few weeks back. The caller wanted additional information about the incident which officers provided.
-- Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the area of state Route 45 near the Salem Golf Club for multiple traffic violations at 2:02 a.m. Sunday. The driver, James D Ramage, 38, was arrested for OVI, weapons while intoxicated and issued a citation for the traffic offenses.
-- Officers responded to the intersection of West State Street and state Route 45 at 2:54 p.m. Saturday for a hit and skip. A pickup truck hauling a trailer with several cars on it was traveling northbound on state Route 45 when it failed to yield the traffic light causing it to be struck by a vehicle driven west on West State Street by Richard Lee, 67, Sebring. The truck and trailer did not stop after being struck, but officers obtained a license plate number from a witness who followed the truck and took a photo of the plate.
-- Officers responded to the 1100 block of West Perry Street at 1:38 a.m. Saturday for a report of telephone harassment. Officers advised the caller to block all contact, and of their options for handling the matter moving forward.
-- Officers responded to the 1100 block of West Perry Street at 2:54 a.m. Friday for a report of vandalism involving eggs. Officers spoke with all parties, gathered written statements, and advised them to cease contact.
-- Officers responded to the 2200 block of Goshen Road at 7:16 p.m. Thursday to conduct a warrant check. Officers spoke with the person and advised them of the warrant out of Trumbull County.
Salem
-- Officers responded to the 400 block of East School Street at 8:13 p.m. Thursday for a reported juvenile problem. The caller advised that two juveniles had been throwing rocks at their window and ran off down the alley. Officers found the juveniles who said they were throwing rocks at each other. The juveniles were taken home, and their mother was advised of the issue.
-- Boardman dispatch advised that a reckless driver was travelling into the city at 7:31 p.m. Thursday. Officers checked the possible routes with what information was obtained, but the vehicle could not be located.
-- Officers responded to the 600 block of East Eight Street at 7:27 p.m. Thursday for a report of a woman with dementia leaving the residence and becoming lost. Officers searched the area between calls, until dispatch advised the woman was at the police department. Officers were able to contact the caller who responded to the department.
-- Officers responded to the 1300 block of South Lincoln Avenue at 7:26 p.m. Thursday for a report of a suspicious person knocking on all the apartment doors claiming to be from First Energy. Officers spoke with the complex manager who advised that he had walked the entire complex and could not locate them. Officers checked the entire complex but did not locate anyone.
-- Officers responded to the 100 block of South Lincoln Avenue at 6:57 p.m. Thursday for a reported juvenile problem. Officers spoke with the juvenile regarding behavior issues, and the caller was advised of his options as well as filing through the juvenile court.
-- Officers responded to Consumers Bank at 6:34 p.m. Thursday for a report of a flag on the ground due to the wind. Officers observed two flags and recovered them. Officers spoke with an employee about the items and returned them to her.
-- Officers responded to the 100 block of West State Street at 3:17 p.m. Thursday for a dispute over a transaction at the business. No action was taken by officers and the caller advised they would contact the store's corporate office.
-- Officers responded to the 600 block of Franklin Avenue at 2:45 p.m. Thursday for a report of debris in the roadway. Officers found the roadway clear but did see trash out for pickup. Officers were informed the housing department had already addressed the excessive issue.
-- Officers responded to the 100 block of West State Street at 1:53 p.m. Thursday for a report of criminal trespass. The caller advised that a person has been coming into the store and causing issues and will also sleep in his vehicle in the parking lot at times, and that they would like them to be trespassed from the property. Officers spoke with the man in question advising him that he was no longer welcome at the business and could be arrested if he returned. The man advised he understood.

Officers spoke with the caller who advised that a person they did not know had used her identity to open bank accounts in another state. Officers advised the caller of their options for dealing with the situation.
-- Officers responded to the 500 block of East third Street at 11:11 a.m. Thursday for a report of suspicious activity. The caller advised that her internet access was changed by another person. The caller was advised to contact their provider and they could assist.
-- Officers spoke with a person at the police department at 11:05 a.m. Thursday that advised they were having an issue with an ex-employee. The person was advised of their options.
-- Officers responded to the 700 block of West State Street at 3:47 a.m. Thursday for a report of a garbage truck that had taken down a low hanging power line. Ohio Edison was contacted disable the power. Officers stood by until the power was disabled
-- Officers responded to the 200 block of Broadway Avenue at 11:44 p.m. Wednesday for a report of a disturbed person. Officers spoke with a woman and contacted the fire department to respond. EMT transported the woman to the hospital.
-- Officers responded to the 1200 block of East Fourth Street at 10:07 p.m. Wednesday for a report of harassment. Officers spoke with a woman and a female juvenile and gathered information.
-- Officers responded to the 600 block of East Fifth Street at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday for a reported hit and skip. Officers observed the vehicle to have very minor damage to the driver's side mirror. The mirror was popped out but not broken. The owner advised he will not be reporting the accident to his insurance.
-- Officers responded to the 1300 block of North Ellsworth Avenue at 1:26 p.m. Wednesday for a report of a suicidal juvenile. Officers were advised by the mother of the juvenile that her son was making suicidal remarks and could also be combative. Officers spoke with the juvenile was attempted to run and had to be restrained until he could calm down and was ultimately transported to the hospital.
-- Officers assisted the Columbiana County Sheriff's Office with warrant checks at several locations through the city at 6:29 a.m. Wednesday. The people in question were not located.
-- Officers responded to the 2100 block of Edgewood Drive at 5:10 p.m. Sunday for a reported barking dog complaint. The caller advised that two dogs have been barking for a few days and wanted officers to check on the residents. Officers spoke with the residents, advising them of the complaint.
-- Michelle Reeder, Salem, was cited for failure to yield after her westbound vehicle on East Pershing Avenue failed to yield from the stop sign and was struck by a vehicle driving northbound on Park Avenue by Heather Nelder, Salem, at 3:10 p.m. Sunday. No injuries were reported.
-- Officers spoke to a person by phone at 12:58 p.m. Sunday to speak with officers about an ongoing investigation. The caller advised they would stop at the police department to speak with officers.
-- Officers responded to the 1200 black of West State Street at 12:32 p.m. Sunday to assist Perry Township officers with a domestic. Officers stood by until no longer needed.
-- Officers responded to the 900 block of South Union Avenue at 11:23 a.m. Sunday for a report of criminal damage to a motor vehicle. Officers spoke with the caller who advised that an unknown person shot their van with two paint balls. The caller requested a report on file and an extra watch on their street.
-- Officers responded to the area of Rose Avenue and East State Street with the fire department and EMT at 1:38 a.m. Sunday for a medical emergency. First responders spoke with the patient and transported them to the Salem emergency room.
-- Officers attempted to serve two arrest warrants at multiple addresses throughout the city at 9:26 p.m. Saturday. Officers were unable to contact either person.
-- Officers responded to the 700 block of West State Street at 7:02 p.m. Saturday for a report of a suspicious substance. The caller advised that a customer had dropped a bag of drugs inside the store but was unsure of which customer. Officers located a tear-off baggie of a white powder substance that appeared to be cocaine. The substance was retrieved and destroyed at the police department.
-- Officers responded to the 100 block of Railroad Street at 6:41 p.m. Saturday for a reported hit and skip. It was advised a truck had pulled out of a parking space and side-swiped the caller vehicle, before leaving the parking lot northbound on Newgarden Avenue. The caller attempted to flag down the driver of the truck unsuccessfully. The caller's vehicle only sustained minor damage to the bumper. Officers spoke with the employed of the Hunt Club Lanes for camera footage, but the camera angles yielded nothing to assist in the investigation.
-- Officers responded to the 200 block of North Cunningham Road at 6:23 p.m. Saturday for a reported medical call. The fire department was on scene and tending to the patient and EMT arrived shortly after, with nothing needed from officers.
-- Officers responded to the 800 block of East Sixth Street at 5:26 p.m. Saturday to speak with the caller. The caller advised that an unknown elderly woman keeps calling her, and that she had blocked the two numbers the woman was calling from but was still receiving voice mails from them. The caller was advised to contact her phone provider, and officers will attempt to identify the woman advise her not to have any further contact with the caller.
-- Officers responded to the 2800 block of East State Street at 12:56 p.m. Saturday for a wellness check on a person who had allegedly been observed pacing back and forth in the parking lot. Officers were given a description but did not locate anyone matching that description after checking the entire lot.
-- Officers responded to the 400 block of West Pershing Street at 10:05 a.m. Saturday for a reported dog at large. Officers transported the dog to the humane society.
-- Officers responded to the 400 block of North Lincoln Avenue at 1:36 a.m. Saturday for a report of criminal damage to a motor vehicle. The caller advised that two people had poured sugar down the gas tank of her vehicle. When officers spoke with the caller, they advised they had not witnessed the alleged act, but that there were ongoing problems between the three. Officers spoke to the two, who denied the allegations. Officers advised the caller that the matter would be looked into and that a report would be filed.
-- Officers responded to the area of Fair Avenue and Ridgewood Drive at 11:37 p.m. Friday for a report of a suspicious vehicle. The person advised that he was waiting on an elder to transport them to the hospital.
-- Officers responded to the 2300 block of East State Street at 11:37 p.m. Friday to check on a group of vehicles. Officers spoke with the owners advising them not to be reckless in their vehicles in the weather conditions, and they moved along without incident.
-- Officers assisted Perry Township Officers with a possibly impaired driver at the police department at 11:10 p.m. Friday. Officers stood by until all paperwork was completed.
-- Officers responded to the 500 block of East Pershing Street at 9:37 p.m. Friday for a report of a person to be removed. The caller advised that the person was loitering and had previously caused a disturbance at the location. Officers spoke with the person who was advised that he was trespassed from the property and not to return. A trespass notice was also signed by the person.
-- Officers responded to a business in 100 block of West State Street at 7:45 p.m. Friday to assist he Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force with taking a man into custody for soliciting. The person was taken into custody without incident, and searched incident to arrest, with officers locating a clear cylinder capsule with a white powder substance that the person claimed was "fake meth." The suspected contraband was seized as evidence and will be sent to the lab for testing. The person was cited by the task force and released, and charges are pending lab results.
-- Gregory Cox, 36, Salem, was cited for a stop sign violation after his southbound vehicle on Park Avenue failed to yield at a stop sign, striking a vehicle driven east on Maple Street by Lee Webb, 64, Salem at 7:34 p.m. Friday. Cox complained of leg pain caused by the crash but ultimately signed a medical refusal form.
-- Officers responded to the 100 block of West State Street at 3:49 p.m. Friday to assist the Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force. A man was taken into custody and transported to the police department and issued a court date with pending charges and released.
-- Officers responded to the 700 block of Newgarden Avenue at 2:07 p.m. Friday for an open 911 line. Officers made contact at the residence and verified everything was okay and the call was accidental.
-- Officers responded to the area of East State Street and South Cunningham Avenue at 1:48 p.m. Friday to locate a woman who was reported missing out of Alliance. Officers located the woman, who was with a relative, and advised that she left home because she was upset. She advised that she was okay and didn't have any intention of harming herself. She was advised to contact officers if she needed anything.
-- Officers observed a dog at large in the area of South Broadway Avenue and Aetna Street at 10:11 a.m. Friday and requested dispatch contact the humane agent. Officers continued to monitor the animal which began to move east along the sidewalk on Aetna Street. A motorist stopped alongside the dog and frightened the animal at which time it ran northeast behind residences in the 400 block of Aetna Street. Officers checked the alleys behind the residences and checked around the block several times but were unable to locate the dog again.
