— An officer responded to a property dispute in the 48000 block of Fifth Street on Jan. 10 at 8:25 a.m. Neighbors were disputing property lines and a right of way. The complainant refused to file a written statement and both parties were advised to stay on their own properties and not tamper with the gate and call the township’s road department foreman.
— An officer was called to Ace Hardware on state Route 170 for a female shoplifter on Jan. 10 at 9:10 a.m. Tracy Zoudali, 50, address not provided, who was found to have three items totaling $115 in her purse was placed under arrest and charged with possession of criminal tools. She was released with a court summons.
— Officers responded to Highland Apartments on Summit Drive on Jan. 10 at 12:27 a.m. for a female reporting someone knocking on her door.
— Officers responded on Jan. 11 at 5:45 p.m. to state Route 11 to speak with a female who said she and her boyfriend were arguing on their way to East Liverpool when she pulled over and her boyfriend got in the driver’s seat and drove off. Officers in East Liverpool located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop. The female did not wish to press charges, just wanted her vehicle back.
— An officer driving in the parking lot of Walmart on Jan. 11 at 1:28 p.m. was stopped by a female who said she was walking through the parking lot and heard a crash. She saw a vehicle hit the right front of a parked car drive off and park two aisles over and go into Walmart without reporting the crash.
— An officer responded to Calcutta Smith Ferry Road on Jan. 11 at 8:50 p.m. for a male walking in the middle of the roadway almost getting struck by passing vehicles. The officer placed Brady Scott, 23, address not provided, in a cruiser and took him to the police station where he was charged with disorderly conduct intoxication.
— An officer was responding on Jan. 11 at 12:49 a.m. to the 15000 block of state Route 170 for a male brandishing a firearm at a residence. No parties involved wanted to press charges.
— An officer was dispatched on Jan. 13 at 1:17 a.m. to Martha and Smith streets for a noise complaint of someone revving their vehicle and spinning tires in the roadway. Officers spoke to the driver who said his truck broke down and he was waiting for a tow truck. The officer ran the driver license of the driver identified as Jerry Mcelhaney, 29, address not provided, and found he had a warrant through the sheriff’s office. Mcelhaney was placed in custody and transported to the county jail and Calcutta Towing took the vehicle to Mcelhaney’s residence per request from AAA.
— An officer responding to Walmart for a male shoplifter on Jan. 13 at 4:14 p.m. Robert Tucker, 73, address not provided, who was found to have four items totaling $36.81 under his coat, was placed under arrest and charged with possessing criminal tools and theft. He was issued a summons to appear in court and released.
— Officers responded to the 49000 block of Maple Lane on Jan. 14 at 11:17 p.m. for a female yelling for help. Officers found a woman bundled up who did not appear to be in duress standing in her doorway. She told officers she had not eaten, and that Giant Eagle delivers food to her but had not come all weekend. She told officers her baseboard heating wasn’t working, and neither was her water. The officers got her a couple of sandwiches from Burger King and advised that someone would stop and check on her.
— An officer spoke over the phone to a male on Jan. 14 at 1:23 p.m. regarding an incident that had happened at his Stagecoach Road residence on Jan. 12 and 13. The male reported that his ex-wife who he is legally separated from came to his residence during his court ordered time with his children and tried taking the children and threatened his guest. The report will be forwarded to the prosecutor’s office to be reviewed for possible charges.
— Officers responded to the Highland Apartments on Summit Drive for a female reporting someone knocking on her door on Jan. 18 at 12:30 p.m. The female told officers she heard someone knocking on her door and a man and woman whispering on her front porch.
— An officer responded on Jan. 20 at 2:57 a.m. to state Route 267 and Yeager Driver for a vehicle in a ditch. First Class Towing recovered the vehicle and towed it.
