He was advised that officers would ask them to leave, but if they did not do so willingly due to her having been living there, an eviction would need to be filed. Officers spoke with the person in question who refused to leave at that time.
— Officers spoke to a man at the police department at 8:07 p.m. Thursday regarding an issue involving payment at a local restaurant. The man advised that he paid for food online, and his bank statement showed the restaurant had withdrawn a total of $54, but the restaurant advised the food was never paid for. The man left the restaurant without food and wanted the matter documented.
— Kaleb Brown, 23, Leetonia, was cited for assured clear distance ahead after his southbound vehicle on South Lincoln Avenue struck the rear of a vehicle driven by Julie Citino, 53, Salem at 7:08 p.m. Thursday. No injuries were reported.
— Officers spoke to a man at the police department at 5:42 p.m. Thursday about an unknown substance at a local business. The matter is under investigation.
— Officers responded to the 400 block of Ohio Avenue at 5:43 p.m. Thursday for a report of a domestic dispute. The involved parties involved advised the altercation was verbal in nature only with nothing physical. The male half left for the remainder of the evening.
— Officers responded to the 1400 block of East Third Street at 4:40 p.m. Thursday for a wellness check on a male juvenile. Officers spoke with the juvenile who admitted to thinking about harming himself. The juvenile’s parents arrived at the residence and officers advised them of the complaint. EMT transported the juvenile to Akron Children’s Boardman for an evaluation.
— Officers responded to the 400 block of West Fifth Street at 4:12 p.m. for a report of a breaking and entering that occurred on Jan. 8. The caller advised that when he got home from work, he noticed the blinds on a second story window were messed up and his firearm was missing. The matter is under investigation and the firearm was entered into LEADS.
— Officers responded to the area of Dodge Drive and West State Street at 4:24 p.m. Thursday for a reported traffic signal malfunction. Officers observed the traffic lights to be working properly.
