Officers spoke with the woman who said everything was fine and her social media account had been hacked.
-- Police responded to a 2800 block East State Street business at 12:30 p.m. Saturday where a caller reported being involved in an incident in Lisbon with another person, and now believed the person's parents had been following him inside the business.
-- An officer responded to the 500 block of East Fourth Street at 10:53 a.m. Saturday where the caller reported an unknown person sent her a text message wanting to know her name. The caller said she thinks she knows who sent the message, but didn't want to text back.
-- Officers responded to the 900 block of East Fourth Street at 10:28 a.m. Saturday to check on the well-being of a resident reportedly experiencing depression and possibly wanting to harm themselves. Officers spoke with the resident who confirmed suffering from depression and stated the need to get further help. Medical personnel responded and the resident was voluntarily transported for further treatment.
-- Thomas J. Klink, 32, Ohio Avenue, Salem, was arrested on an active warrant out of the Columbiana County Sheriff's Office for child support after an officer on patrol observed him in the area of South Ellsworth Avenue and East Pershing Street at 1:42 a.m. Saturday and knew him to have the warrant for his arrest.
-- Officers responded to the 300 block of West Pershing Street at 10:07 p.m. Friday in reference to a person violating a protection order. Officers spoke with the caller to collect information before proceeding with the issue.
-- While officers were on the scene of another complaint in a parking lot in the 2800 block of East State Street at 9:29 p.m. Friday, they saw another vehicle catch fire. The fire department responded and extinguished the fire.
-- Officers responded to a 200 block North Cunningham Road business at 9:12 p.m. Friday where a caller claimed she was double charged for a room. The manager said the caller was only charged for one night, but that the caller did not agree and cursed her out. The manager did not want the caller on the property anymore. The caller was advised not to return to the business and contact the corporate office.
-- Officers responded to the area of North Ellsworth Avenue and East Eighth Street at 8:15 p.m. Friday in reference to a dog at large. Officers located the dog but were unable to catch it. The Columbiana County human agent was contacted to attempt to catch the dog.
-- Officers stopped a vehicle on South Alley behind Consumer's Bank at 5:51 p.m. Friday in assistance to the Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force. The driver was taken into custody for the task force in reference to soliciting prostitution and later released after the task force concluded its investigation.
-- Gage D. Brannon, 17, Salem, was cited for assured clear distance ahead following a two-vehicle crash in the 800 block of East State Street at 12:41 p.m. Friday in which he was eastbound and failed to slow for traffic, striking the rear of a vehicle driven by Shari L. Sloan, 51, Salem. No injuries were reported.
-- Officers responded to the 500 block of Bank Street at 1:43 a.m. Tuesday for a person to be removed. Officers spoke with both parties, and the female half was given a transport to a family member's house
-- Officers responded to the 300 block of Hawley Avenue at 7:33 p.m. Monday for a neighbor dispute. The caller was advised to contract their landlord and make him aware of the complaint. The report will also be forwarded to the health department.
-- Officers responded to the 600 block of East Fourth Street at 6:51 p.m. Monday for a speak with officer report. The landlord believed her tenant had possibly violated a protection order through social media. The incident has been sent to the prosecutor's office for review.
-- Officers responded to the 700 block of East Third Street at 4:04 p.m. Monday for a domestic dispute. Officers spoke to both parties who advised of a verbal altercation and officers advised them to separate for the night.
-- Officers responded to the 2400 block of East State Street at 3:10 p.m. Monday for a report of suspicious activity inside a vehicle. Officers spoke with the occupants of the vehicle, observing nothing suspicious, and advising them of the complaint.
-- Officers responded to the 100 block of Rose Avenue at 2:10 p.m. Monday for a reported domestic in progress. Officers spoke with the involved parties, determining the matter to be a verbal dispute between a mother and her adult son with no physical violence reported. While on scene the mother requested officers advise the son that he was no longer welcome at her residence.
