County Sheriff
— A woman staying at a Rose Drive, Center Township residence reported at 1:23 a.m. Dec. 22 that her wallet was taken off of the front patio. When deputies arrived, she said her wallet with all the contents had turned up, but she wanted a report of identity theft because she believed someone used her state benefit card and prepaid debit card numbers.
— A deputy responded to a property on Teegarden Road in Salem Township at 11:57 p.m. Dec. 20 for a report of a suspicious person. The deputy checked the property and the area and found no one. The caller said that she ordered a DoorDash delivery and a male delivered the food instead of the female named as the delivery person. An hour later, the male allegedly returned to her home, knocked on the door, and walked across the yard. Deputies checked the area throughout the night when available.
Perry Township
— Officers responded to the 1100 block of Prospect Street at 1:46 a.m. Thursday for a reported domestic dispute. The caller advised that her son became verbally upset and began to punch the wall. Officers spoke with the son and determined no assault took place, advising him to spend the night elsewhere.
— Officers responded to the 1100 block of Jones Drive at 4:50 p.m. Wednesday for a medical call. Officers assisted until no longer needed.
— Officers responded to the 500 block of Snyder Road at 12:59 p.m. Wednesday to assist the Columbiana County Drug Enforcement Task Force with an investigation. Officers assisted until no longer needed.
— Officers responded to the 2200 block of North Ellsworth Avenue at 11:40 a.m. Wednesday for a burning complaint. Officers advised the homeowner of burning laws.
— Officers spoke to a woman at the police department at 8:53 p.m. Tuesday for a report of a missing person. The woman advised that when she arrived home, she found her husband, who has dementia and does not leave the house, not home and her stepson’s car missing. The man was located by his stepson at Chase Bank in Salem. Officers met with the caller, the man, and the stepson in the 900 block of Carriage Hill Drive and verified the man was in good health.
— Officers responded to the 1700 block of state Route 344 at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday for a medical call. EMT and the fire department arrived and provided aid and EMT transported them to the Salem Regional Medical Center.
— Officers assisted the Salem and Columbiana police departments with a vehicle pursuit that ended in the 1900 block of Allen Road at 6:07 p.m. Monday. Officers assisted until no longer needed.
Salem
— Officers on patrol observed a suspicious vehicle in Centennial Park at 2:21 a.m. Thursday. Officers spoke with the driver, advising them of the park hours, and they left the area.
— Officers responded to the corner of North Howard Avenue and West Fourth Street at 10:23 p.m. Wednesday for a report of an irate woman knocking on several peoples’ doors and yelling in the roadway. Officers spoke with the woman, who denied medical attention, issuing a warning for disorderly conduct and advising her to stay inside.
— Officers responded to the 800 block of Jefferson Avenue at 8:17 p.m. Wednesday for a report of damage to a vehicle. Officers spoke with the caller, collecting the relevant information.
— Officers responded to the 400 block of East Fifth Street at 5:52 p.m. Wednesday for a reported civil matter. Officers spoke with the parties involved, giving them advice on how to proceed
