— Officers responded to the 400 block of Continental Drive at 1:43 p.m. Thursday for a wellness check on a person lying in his apartment and not moving. Officers spoke with the person, Clifton Roush, 55, Salem, who advised he was okay. He was found to have an active warrant out of Columbiana County and was taken into custody and transported to the Columbiana County Jail.

— Officers responded to the 500 block of Prospect Street at 11:06 a.m. Thursday in regard to an issue with releasing a vehicle. The caller advised that he was releasing a vehicle to the person who had a suspended license. Officers spoke with the person who had a valid driver with him and found there was no issue.

— Officers responded to the area of Rose Avenue and East Third Street at 10:16 p.m. Wednesday for a report of a vehicle parked in the street revving the engine and causing a disturbance. Officers located the vehicle but did not observe any noise. The owner of the vehicle was advised to stop any excessive noise coming from the vehicle.

— Officers responded to the Salem Regional Medical Center at 3:55 p.m. Thursday for a report of an irate person to be removed. The man had allegedly gotten into a verbal altercation with an unknown man and left before officers arrived. Officers located the man walking in the 1800 block of East Pershing Street, advising him of the complaint, and he left the area without further incident.

— Officers responded to the 1800 block of North Ellsworth Avenue at 3:36 p.m. Thursday to assist Perry Township officers with a traffic stop. Officers stood by until no longer needed.

— Justin McVay, 39, Salem, was cited for failure to control after his vehicle on South Lundy Avenue slid off the roadway and into the ditch at 11:57 a.m. Wednesday. No injuries were reported.

— Officers responded to the 1800 block of Shady Lane at 11:01 a.m. Wednesday to assist the fire department with a structure fire. Officers conducted traffic control until no longer needed.

— Officers responded to a business in the 1700 block of East State Street at 9:57 a.m. Thursday for a report of a person to be removed. The caller advised a man had been sleeping in the lobby since 5:30 a.m. that morning and refused to leave when asked. Officers spoke with management who advised the person needed to leave. Officers advised the man of the complaint, and he left without incident.
