— Officers responded to the 500 block of North Ellsworth Avenue at 2:44 a.m. Thursday for a report of menacing. The caller advised that there had been people living in the upstairs apartment that should not be there, and when confronted they threatened to slash the caller’s tires. Officers spoke with the people who advised they were removing items from the upstairs apartment and would be done soon. Officers stood by until the items were removed and the people left.

— Officers responded to the 100 block of Washington Avenue at 1:51 a.m. Thursday for a report of harassment. The caller advised that a person living in the same apartment building has been hanging out at their place of employment and making them feel uncomfortable and had left two notes on their door, one requesting items they give to the caller back. Officers attempted contact at the person’s residence but were unable to make contact.

— Officers responded to the 100 block of Washington Avenue at 1 a.m. Thursday for a report of theft. The caller advised they had ordered car parts which were delivered and when she came home from work the box was missing from the porch. The caller showed officers a photograph of her package on the front porch that confirmed its delivery.

— Officers on patrol in the 1000 block West State Street at 11:06 p.m. Wednesday checked on a vehicle parked near the rear of a business after hours. The vehicle was unoccupied and an employee was found to be inside the store working late.

— Officers responded to the Stables Inn at 10:54 p.m. Wednesday for a report of an unwanted person. An employee advised that every night a man paces the sidewalk and sometimes attempts to enter the business. The employee observed the person outside, but he did not enter the building and officers advised them to call back if the man does enter the building and they want him removed.

— Officers responded to the 100 block of South Broadway Avenue at 7:24 p.m. Wednesday for a report of a suspicious person. The caller was advised that a man was seen going through the dumpster behind the business. Officers were unable to locate the person.

— Officers responded to the 300 block of South Madison Avenue at 7:07 p.m. Wednesday for a report of a possible domestic incident. A juvenile called 911 due to his grandfather possibly putting hands on him. One of the juveniles started yelling in the grandfather’s face and was then shoved onto the bed. No marks were observed and the incident will be sent to the prosecutor’s office for review.

— Officers responded to the 400 block of North Lincoln Avenue at 6:25 p.m. Wednesday for a report of a possibly stolen vehicle. The caller advised that his brother had removed his mother’s vehicle from the property and was attempting to sell it on Facebook. The caller advised officers his brother had guardianship of their mother. Officers spoke with the brother who advised that he was in charge of his mother’s property and finances and that he was advised by his lawyer to sell the vehicle on his mother’s behalf. The brother agreed to provide officers with court paperwork.

— Officers responded to the 1000 block of Buckeye Avenue at 6:10 p.m. Wednesday for a wellness check. Officers were advised that everything was fine and it was a neighbor dispute.

— Officers responded to the 900 block of Liberty Street at 1:25 p.m. Wednesday for a report of a disorderly person. Officers spoke with the person who advised that he was not yelling, nor had he been yelling prior to officer’s arrival. Officers spoke with homeowners in the area who advised that the man had been yelling. Officers advised them of disorderly conduct and they left the area.

— Officers responded to the 900 block of Liberty Street at 12:56 p.m. Wednesday for a report of a possible burglary. The caller advised that she was staying at her friend’s house while she was at work and heard someone enter the residence throwing things around. She also advised that her friend has been having problems with her ex-boyfriend and she believed it to be him in the residence. Officers searched the interior and nobody was located inside. The caller was advised to call back should any further problems occur.
