— Officers responded to the 800 block of Summit Street at 4:57 a.m. Wednesday for a report of a person to be removed. The caller advised that a man known to her was arguing with her and she wanted them to be removed. Officers discovered the man did not live at the location and called for a ride.

— Officers responded to the 1000 block of East Pershing Street at 8:33 p.m. Tuesday for a report of a stolen firearm. No suspect information was available at that time.

— Officers responded to the 100 block of Legacy Lane at 8:07 p.m. Tuesday for a reported domestic dispute. The caller advised she had been in a dispute with her ex-husband at her residence on Third Street earlier that day. She advised that she had invited him over to talk, and once they were done talking the ex took off his belt and proceeded to beat her with it. No injuries were observed or reported but a written statement was provided, and the matter is under investigation.

— Officers spoke to a man by phone at 6:57 p.m. Tuesday who alleged his neighbor routinely lets their dogs out of the house off leash and that the dogs come into his yard and defecate and that he had been dealing with this issue for two years. Officers attempted contact with the neighbor, but nobody was home. A note was left for the owner to contact officers about the issue.

— Officers responded to the area of South Lundy Avenue and Columbiana Avenue at 6:20 p.m. Tuesday for a wellness check on a male juvenile sitting outside on the sidewalk. Officers spoke with the juvenile who advised he was just waiting for a friend.

— Officers responded to the 600 block of East Eight Street at 3:49 p.m. Tuesday for a report of an elderly woman wearing pajamas that was lost. An ambulance was contacted to care for the woman, and a man was located at the woman’s place of residence and advised of her location.

— Officers spoke with a woman at the police department at 2:50 p.m. Tuesday for a report of a stolen cat. The caller advised that an unknown woman took the cat from her property and had taken the cat to Angels for Animals in the past. The caller contacted Angels for Animals for the woman’s information, but they would not give out the information.

— Officers responded to the 900 block of Barclay Avenue at 11:14 a.m. Tuesday regarding a suspicious letter from an unknown sender. The caller advised the letter was addressed to another family member that resides at another address. The caller was advised of her options and that a report would be made.

— Officers spoke with a person at the police department at 11:07 a.m. Tuesday for a report of fraud. The caller advised that they bought a kitten from a man online and the man advised he would have the kitten transported to the caller’s residence. The caller advised that the company that was supposed to be transporting the kitten wanted payment up from and other fees before delivering the kitten, and that every time they would send the money the company would call back with other fees that needed to be paid before delivery. The matter is under investigation.

— Officers responded to the 900 block of West Wilson Street at 8:22 a.m. Tuesday for a report of a runaway juvenile. The caller advised that her son left their residence in the morning and was not home. Officers located the son and contacted the caller to pick him up at the police department.

— Officers responded to the 400 block of Ohio Avenue at 7:27 a.m. Tuesday for a reported domestic dispute. Officers found that a live-in boyfriend and girlfriend got into a verbal altercation. Both parties advised that the incident was verbal in nature only. The male half voluntarily left the residence for the evening.
