Salem
— Officers responded to the area of U.S. Route 62 for a report of a possibly intoxicated driver entering the city. The area was checked but the vehicle was not located.
— Officers responded to the 400 block of Franklin Street for a report of a domestic dispute. Officers spoke with both involved parties, who were intoxicated. The female half locked the male half out of the residence and would not let him in. The man agreed to leave for the evening to avoid any further issues and was given a ride to a friend’s residence.
— Officers responded to the 500 block of Stewart Avenue at 12:01 a.m. Thursday to check for a juvenile with an active warrant. Officers located the juvenile, whose name was not listed, and transported him to the Louis Tobin Attention Center.
— Officers responded to the 200 block of Ohio Avenue at 11:47 p.m. Monday for a report of stolen house keys. Officers spoke with the caller and the other involved party about the matter and collected all necessary information.
— Jacob Lutsch, 18, Salem, was cited for failure to control after his westbound vehicle on Oak Street went off the left side of the roadway striking a ditch and a telephone pole at 11:16 p.m. Monday. No injuries were reported.
— Officers responded to the 500 block of West Pershing Street at 10:07 p.m. Monday for a report of someone acting suspiciously on the caller’s front porch before leaving toward South Howard Avenue. Officers checked the area but did not locate the person.
— Officers responded to the 1100 block of Maple Street at 9:10 p.m. Monday for a reported assault. The caller advised that a man known to him had struck him with a beer bottle and left prior to officers’ arrival. The matter is under investigation.
— Officers responded to the area of Deming and Cedar streets at 6:53 p.m. Monday for a report of someone loading items from a torn down residence. Contact was made with the person who was advised of the complaint. He advised that he had permission as his aunt was the previous resident and he was leaving for the evening.
— Officers responded to the 600 block of North Lincoln Avenue at 6:38 p.m. Monday to assist the fire department and EMT with a medical call. Officers stood by until no longer needed.
— Officers responded to the area of North Lincoln Avenue at 2:34 p.m. Monday for a report of a vehicle reportedly weaving back and forth. Officers checked the length of North Lincoln to the four lane but did not locate the vehicle.
— Officers responded to the area of Southeast Boulevard and Edgewood Road at 2:33 p.m. Monday for a report of solicitors. Officers locate a man trying to sell water proofing packages to homeowners. Officers advised the man there is no soliciting in the city and he left without issue.
— Thomas Evans, 41, Canfield, was cited for failure to control after his eastbound vehicle on East State Street crossed the center line, striking a vehicle driven west by Mary Lou Beeson, 68, Leetonia, at 1:43 p.m. Monday.
