— Officers responded to the 500 block of Continental Drive at 4:58 a.m. Tuesday for a wellness check. The caller advised that his separated wife had texted him saying “she was done.” Officers attempted to contact the woman who did not answer.
— Officers responded to the 500 block of Ohio Avenue at 11:41 p.m. Monday for a reported domestic dispute. Officers were advised that an intoxicated man was having issues with other individuals at the residence. Officers spoke to all parties involved and advised them to remain separated for the night.
— Officers responded to the area of North Lincoln Avenue and East Fourth Street at 10:06 p.m. Monday for a reported water line break. Officers advised dispatch to contact the water department.
— Officers responded to the 200 block of Lexington Avenue at 9:28 p.m. Monday for a trespass report. Officers spoke with the caller who advised that a man keeps coming up to his residence, requesting a PlayStation5 that he had bought off Facebook. The caller advised the man he was not selling a PlayStation5 and somebody had given him false information. Officers then spoke with the man in question, advising him not to return to the property and to contact Perry Township officers.
— Officers responded to the area of North Lincoln Avenue and Parkview Drive at 8:31 p.m. Monday to assist Perry Township officers with a traffic stop. Officers assisted until no longer needed.
— Officers responded to the 600 block of Franklin Avenue at 6:50 p.m. Monday to assist the Columbiana County Drug Enforcement Task Force with a search warrant. Officers assisted until no longer needed.
— Officers in the 200 block of South Lincoln Avenue at 6:15 p.m. Monday observed a vehicle being driven north by a man known to officers not to be a valid driver. Officers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle, with contraband recovered and charges pending. The driver, Chase Perkins, 25, was cited for driving under suspension.
— Officers responded to the 700 block of East Third Street at 2:58 p.m. Monday for a reported burglary in progress. The interior of the residence was checked for a burglar by officers and K-9 Simon.
— A woman reported on station at 7:12 p.m. Sunday she was visiting her daughter when the father struck her arm during an argument, causing a bruise. The matter is under investigation.
— An officer responded to a 2400 block East State Street business at 5:34 p.m. Sunday in reference to a woman who place multiple items into a reusable bag then made a purchase of lottery tickets, leaving the store without paying for the other items. When contacted, the woman claimed to be having medical emergency. She was ultimately transported by medical personnel to the Salem hospital, with theft charges pending.
— Tod Raymond Brink, 18, Salem, was cited for assured clear distance ahead following a two-vehicle crash on Franklin Avenue at South Lincoln Avenue at 3:13 p.m. Sunday in which he was westbound and failed to stop for traffic, striking the rear of a vehicle driven by Melissa Ray Brink, 43, Salem. No injuries were reported.
— Officers responded to the 1500 block of Cleveland Street at 7:16 p.m. Saturday after the resident reported hearing someone inside her home knocking on the walls when she returned home. Officers along with a K9 searched the home and found no one inside.
— A Franklin Avenue resident reported at 2:23 p.m. Saturday someone had entered his unlocked vehicle and taken a loaded firearm from underneath the front driver side seat.
— An officer responded to the 600 block of East Fourth Street at 1:50 p.m. Saturday where a complainant reported having a protection order against someone who lives in the same apartment building who was working on a vehicle next to him in violation of the protection order. The matter was sent to the county prosecutor’s office for review.
— An officer responded to the 700 block of East Third Street at 12:27 p.m. Saturday in reference to two suspicious vehicles parked at a closed school. The officer contacted the owner of the vehicles who lives nearby who said they had parked the vehicles at the school to free up space in their driveway for expected visitors. They were advised of the complaint and moved the vehicles back to their driveway.
