Perry Township
— Officers responded to the 1800 block of South Lincoln Avenue at 7:25 p.m. Saturday to assist a woman experiencing a medical issue. EMT arrived and transported the woman.
— Officers responded to the 1200 block of West State Street at 12:09 p.m. Saturday for a report of a dog running through yards. Officers spoke with the owner of the dogs, advising him of leash law, and issued a verbal warning.
— Officers on patrol on East Pidgeon and Depot roads at 1:18 a.m. Friday conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for speeding. Officers found the 17-year-old driver only had a temporary permit and did not have a valid driver with him in the vehicle and was distraught and in emotional distress. Columbiana County Sheriff’s Office deputies were able to contact the juvenile’s parents in Leetonia, and the driver’s father and brother responded to the scene to care for the juvenile.
— Robert Zanni, 33, Salem, was cited for assured clear distance ahead after his northbound vehicle on North Ellsworth Avenue struck the passenger side of a vehicle driven by Gabriel Norris, 44, Salem at 6:02 p.m. Thursday. No injuries were reported.
