Perry Township

— Officers responded to the 700 block of Benton Road at 12:21 a.m. Thursday for a reported domestic dispute. The male had had left the area prior to officers’ arrival, and the caller advised that her fiance had struck her with a soda can and left the residence. The caller had no visible injuries and denied medical attention. Due to the lack of witnesses or physical evidence officers took a report and advised the caller on how to file for a protection order.

— Officers responded to the 100 block of Apple Street at 7:54 p.m. Wednesday for a report of a reckless driver that struck two mailboxes and a large rock. Officers spoke to witnesses, but nobody could provide a description of the vehicle due to how dark it was at the time. Officers gathered all relevant information.

— Michael Conley Junior, 19, Salem, was cited for reasonable control after his northbound vehicle on North Lincoln Avenue crossed the center line striking a telephone pole, two mailboxes and a fence on the west side of the road, before re-entering the roadway, traveling off the west side and striking a tree at 12:45 p.m. Tuesday. No injuries were reported.

— Officers conducted a traffic stop in the 1300 block of North Lincoln Avenue at 8:22 p.m. Monday. Officers received consent to search and after a thorough search of the vehicle contraband was recovered. Officers turned the contraband over to the Columbiana County Drug Task Force which will continue the investigation.

— Officers assisted the Columbiana County Drug Task Force and Salem Police Department in serving a warrant in the 600 block of Franklin Avenue at 7:30 p.m. Monday. Officers assisted until no longer needed.

— Officers spoke to a man by phone at 3:30 p.m. Monday for a report of theft. The caller advised he sent some money to someone on Cash App for the purchase of several items and when they went to pick up the items the seller no longer answered the phone. Officers will be gathering additional information and following up with all parties.
