— An officer on patrol on Oct. 31 conducted a traffic stop at 4:20 p.m. on Cannons Mill Road after randomly running a license plate and discovering the plates were registered to a different vehicle. Samantha Norris, age and address not provided, did not have a valid license and was issued a citation. The vehicle was towed.
— An officer responded to Walmart on Oct 31 at 2:43 p.m. for a female shoplifter. Billie Thompson, 42, address not provided, was charged with petty theft for leaving the store without paying for 39 items totaling $372.56 and possession of criminal tools. She was also issued a court date.
— An officer following a vehicle and pacing their speed at 60 mph in a 40-mph zone attempted to conduct a traffic stop on McGuffy Drive on Oct. 31 at 2:33 p.m. The vehicle failed to stop after the officer activated both lights and sirens. The driver, Glenda Haught, age and address not provided, stopped after traveling another 200 to 300 yards. She denied her consent to search and a K9 was used to do an open-air sniff of the vehicle. After the K9 alerted, Haught was advised that officers were going to conduct a probable cause search. Officers found a THC vape pen and a white pill. Haught said she let other people borrow her vehicle and had no knowledge of the items in her car. She was issued a speeding citation and released.
— An officer responded to the 16000 block of Swickard Street on Nov. 2 at 8:28 p.m. to take a report from a female who said she was at the Columbiana County Court that morning for a case against her son who failed to show. She said she received a phone call from her son which violated a protection order and she wanted to file a report.
