— Officers responded to the 500 block of Franklin Street at 3:52 p.m. Tuesday to check for a wanted woman at the Columbiana County Sheriff’s Office’s request. Officers spoke with the homeowner who gave permission to check their home for the woman, and located the woman, Melissa Mills, Homeworth, taking her into custody and turning her over to Columbiana County Sheriff’s Office.

— The school resource officer investigated a possible issue with several students at 3:15 p.m. Tuesday. The matter is under investigation.

— Officers responded to the 400 block of Franklin Street at 2:39 p.m. Tuesday for a report of theft. The caller advised that he made an order at a local restaurant through Door Dash and had never received it, and that this was the second time he’d had this issue with the same driver. Officers spoke with a customer service agent at Door Dash, and they reimbursed the caller their money.

— Officers responded to the 200 block of Continental Drive at 2:24 p.m. Tuesday for a report of identity theft. The caller advised he is an authorized user on his deceased brother’s account and that he had noticed several fraudulent charges to the account totaling $637.26. Officers advised them to close the account and issued a report number.

— Officers responded to the 1900 block of Oak Street at 2:19 p.m. Tuesday for a speak with officer report. The caller advised that his ex-girlfriend won’t move out of the residence. Officers advised the caller he would have to evict her from the residence.

— Officers responded to a business in the 2900 block of East State Street at 1:50 p.m. Tuesday for a report of a shoplifter detained by asset protection for attempting to steal merchandise totaling $726.56. Asset protection identified themselves and the person, whose name was not listed, was cooperative and returned inside the business to await officers’ arrival. Officers identified the person, who remained cooperative and respectful throughout, and advised him that a summons would be issued in the near future for the attempted theft.
