— Officers responded to the 200 block of Ohio Avenue at 10:36 p.m. Thursday for a report of two people yelling at each other. Officers checked the area where the noise was supposedly coming from and didn’t contact anyone there.

— Officers responded to the 1900 block of East State Street at 8:35 p.m. Thursday to search for an intoxicated man that had been brought in by EMS but fled the hospital on foot. Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the man.

— Officers responded to the 600 block of Cedar Street at 7:37 p.m. Thursday for a report of a possible theft. Officers collected the necessary information and the matter is under investigation.

— Officers responded to the 900 block of West Wilson Street at 7:35 p.m. Thursday for a report of a dog at large. The caller was able to obtain and hold the dog prior to the officer’s arrival. Due to the owner being unknown the humane agent responded and obtained the dog.

— Officers responded to the 2800 block of East State Street at 7:09 p.m. Thursday for a report of a man looking into the windows of multiple cars. Officers spoke with the man, advising him of the complaint and sending him on his way.

— Officers responded to the 100 block of North Ellsworth Avenue at 6:51 p.m. Thursday for a report of a fight between two men. Officers were told by a witness that both parties had left the area prior to officers’ arrival. Officers checked the area for the men but were unable to locate them.

— Officers responded to the 700 block of West State Street at 4:43 p.m. Thursday for a report of a dog at large. The humane agent responded and took custody of the dog.

— Officers responded to the 400 block of South Lundy Avenue at 4:28 p.m. Thursday for a report of a person to be removed. The caller advised that nobody was supposed to be inside the residence as the homeowner was incarcerated in the Columbiana County Jail. Officers found one of the occupants, Tony Dillinger, 43, homeless, finding him to have a warrant for his arrest out of Columbiana County, and transported him to the Columbiana County Jail. Officers made contact with the homeowner at the jail who confirmed that nobody was supposed to be inside the residence. Officers returned to the residence and informed the remaining occupant, who left without incident.

— Officers responded to the 200 block of North Madison Avenue at 4:14 p.m. Thursday for a reported juvenile problem. The caller advised that the neighbor’s juvenile son was yelling at their kids. Officers spoke with the juvenile advising them to leave the other juveniles alone.

— Officers responded to the 900 block of West Perry Street at 2:48 p.m. Thursday for a medical call. Officers assisted until no longer needed.

— Officers responded to the 400 block of Jennings Avenue at 1:09 p.m. Thursday to witness a tenant be served with an eviction notice. Officers observed the caller serve a three-day eviction notice.

— Officers responded to the 2800 block of East State Street at 12:57 p.m. Thursday for a report of an unattended child left in a vehicle. Officers found a female adult in the driver seat, who admitted to being in the store while the child was in the vehicle. Officers advised her of the dangers of doing so and that she could possibly be charged for any future instances. Officers issued her a warning and sent her on her way.

— Officers responded to the 600 block of East Second Street at 12:26 p.m. Thursday for wellness check on a person believed to have been talking to themselves. Officers spoke with the person finding everything to be fine.

— Officers responded to the 500 block of North Lincoln Avenue at 12:23 p.m. Thursday to speak with the caller about getting a restraining order on a woman who sold her house to them. The caller advised that months after buying the house the former owner keeps texting them about items left in the house that they want back, and the last messages were very vulgar and mean. Officers advised the caller of the process for getting a restraining order.

— Officers responded to the 700 block of East State Street at 12:06 p.m. Thursday in reference to mail that was delivered to him. Officers advised him of his options.

— Officers responded to the 200 block of North Lincoln Avenue at 9:49 a.m. Thursday for a report of theft. The caller advised that an unknown person had stolen a lawnmower from the property. The caller advised that he left it by the parking lot for about 10 minutes, and when he returned it was gone. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate the mower.

— Officers responded to the 700 block of North Ellsworth Avenue at 9:19 a.m. Thursday for a report of dog at large. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate the animal.
