Perry Township

— Officers responded to the 1100 block of Beechwood Road for a report of a resident blowing leaves into the roadway. Officers spoke with the resident, advising him not to blow the leaves into the roadway, and the man said that they were not his leaves and that he would stop blowing leaves into the roadway.

— Officers responded to the 400 block of Plymouth Place at 10:33 a.m. Wednesday for a report of suspicious men in suits going door to door. Officers found the men to be Jehovah’s Witnesses spreading the word.

County Sheriff

— A deputy at 10:47 p.m. Tuesday assisted Minerva Police with serving a warrant on a person out of Minerva mayor’s court on U.S. Route 30, West Township.

— A domestic dispute between a man and a woman was reported at 8:18 p.m. Saturday on Canal Street, East Rochester in West Township. Both signed a refusal to prosecute.

— A possible prowler was reported at 1:38 a.m. Saturday on state Route 45, Center Township. A deputy checked the property and surrounding area, but found no one. The area was checked again throughout the night.

— A woman on Canal Street, Hanoverton reported at 9:33 p.m. Friday that someone put rocks and signs in front of her driveway on the west side of her property.

East Palestine

— Officers responded at 12:38 a.m. on Sunday to West Martin Street to a report of two teenagers attempting to break into a garage. Officers searched the scene but could not locate the subjects.

— Officer responded at 10:52 p.m. on Sunday to East Main Street after a resident reported unwanted people in her residence The resident also reported she believed people may be on her roof. Officers checked the scene but did not locate any individual.

— Officers responded at 5:58 p.m. on Sunday to East Main Street to a report of a disturbance. Krista Preline, no age or address given, was charged with assault.

— Officers responded at 1:04 a.m. on Sunday to East Main Street to a report of a possible theft. Officers later concluded no property was stolen.

— Officers responded at 11:54 p.m. on Saturday to East Main Street to a report that people were tossing beer cans out a car. Officers searched for the vehicle but did not locate it.

— Officers responded at 9:29 p.m. on Saturday West North Avenue to a traffic complaint.

— Officers responded at 9:20 p.m. on Saturday to East Clark Street to an animal complaint.

— Officers responded at 2:47 a.m. to Garfield Avenue to a report of a disturbance. Wayne Hetric, no age or address given, was charged with disorderly conduct.

— Officers responded at 1:23 p.m. on Saturday to Park Avenue to a report of a suspicious vehicle. Officer checked the scene and determined nothing was amiss.

— Officers responded at 8:40 p.m. on Friday to West Clark Street to a report of corning. Officers were unable to locate the juveniles reportedly responsible.

— Officers arrested Alexander Morlan, no address or age given, at 7:30 p.m. on Friday on East Main Street. Morlan was arrested on an outstanding warrant for failing to update his residency as a sex offender.

— Officers received a complaint at 5:58 p.m. on Friday regarding an Apple ID being hacked.

— Officers responded to a juvenile who was attempting to run away from a residence on East Main Street at 5:39 p.m. on Friday. The juvenile was taken to Children’s Hospital in Akron at his parents’ request.

— Officers responded at 8:42 p.m. on Thursday to Howell Road to a suspicious 911 call. The resident advised he did not make the call and the phone number that made the call was not his.

— Officers responded at 7:47 p.m. on Thursday to the East Palestine Library after a man with dementia walked away from the library. Officers located the man and reunited him with his wife.

— Officers responded at 7:21 p.m. on Wednesday to Bacon Avenue for a welfare check of a juvenile. The juvenile’s mother explained the situation to police who determined the child was not in danger.

— Officers responded at 6:58 p.m. on Tuesday to East North Avenue to an ongoing issue at the residence.

— Officers responded at 6:34 p.m. on Tuesday to Park Avenue to a noise complaint involving barking dogs. Officer did not find or hear any dog at the scene.

— Officers responded at 2:45 p.m. on Tuesday to East North Avenue for a parking complaint involving a vehicle that had reportedly been parked on the street for several days. Officers located the vehicle that had a note on it stating the car was broken down. Officers attempted to call the number on the note but it was no longer working.

Highway Patrol

— Stephanie Humphrey, 29, Hanoverton, was cited for failure to control after her westbound vehicle on state Route 172 went off the right side of the roadway striking a culvert at 7:58 a.m. Saturday in Hanover Township. No injuries were reported.

— James Wilkes, 48, East Liverpool, was cited for assured clear distance ahead after his southbound vehicle on state Route 7 struck the rear of a vehicle driven by John Chimielorski Junior, 71, Follansbee, West Virginia, at 3:25 p.m. Thursday in Madison Township. Chimielorski and his passenger John Fisher, 74, Follansbee, West Virginia, were transported to East Liverpool Hospital by West Point EMS for suspected minor injuries.

— Glen Wickersham, 53, Salem, was cited for failure to control after his eastbound vehicle on state Route 558 failed to negotiate a right turn at the intersection of state Route 46, overturning and going of the right side of the roadway at 2:42 p.m. Oct. 25 in Unity Township. No injuries were reported.

— An unknown driver’s westbound vehicle on state Route 14 field to yield to oncoming traffic while making a left turn, causing it to be struck by a vehicle driven east by Beth Landman, 32, Wampum, Pennsylvania, before leaving the scene of the crash eastbound on state Route 14 at 6:01 p.m. Oct. 22 in Unity Township. Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the vehicle, and no license plate could be obtained. No injuries were reported.

— Randall Culler, 44, Lisbon, was cited for failure to yield after his northbound vehicle on County Road 420 failed to yield after stopping at a stop sign causing it to be struck by a vehicle driven east on state Route 517 by Connie Baer, 38, Leetonia, at 1:04 p.m. Oct. 21. No injuries were reported.

— Luis Colon Alvarez, 47, Cleveland, was cited for operating an unsafe vehicle after the front left tire detached from his eastbound vehicle on state Route 558, striking a vehicle driven east by Karen Lanious, 57, Lisbon, at 11:30 a.m. Oct. 21 in Unity Township. Lanious was transported to Saint Elizabeth Hospital by New Waterford EMS for possible injuries.

— Taylor Post, 19, Warren, was transported to Saint Elizabeth Hospital by Columbiana EMS for suspected minor injuries after her northbound vehicle on state Route 164 failed to negotiate a curve and traveled off the right side of the road, striking an embankment and overturning at 10:55 a.m. Oct. 21.

— Christopher McMillan, 37, Lisbon, was cited for OVI, failure to control and refusal of a breath test after his eastbound vehicle on state Route 172 went off the roadway while attempting to turn onto Gamble Road, striking a ditch at 11:19 p.m. Oct. 20 in Center Township. No injuries were reported.

— Trent Newburn, 18, Lisbon, was cited for driving without a license and a seatbelt violation after his eastbound vehicle on Winona Road failed to yield at a stop sign when turning northbound onto Depot Road, causing it to be struck by a vehicle driven south on Depot Road by Samantha Phillips, 31, Tallmadge, causing Newburn’s vehicle to travel off the east side of Depot Road, striking an embankment and traffic sign at 3:42 p.m. Oct. 19. Newburn was treated on scene for possible injuries by Winona EMS.

— Matthew Mizer, 30, Mineral City, was cited for failure to control after his northbound vehicle on Homeworth Road traveled off the right side of the roadway striking a utility pole at 7:12 a.m. Oct. 19. No injuries were reported.

St. Clair Township

— Officers were dispatched to the 15000 block of Cricket Lane on Sept. 24 at 4:35 a.m. for a male banging his head on the wall. Northstar Ambulance checked out the male who declined to go to the hospital.

— An officer conducted a traffic stop on Sept. 25 at 4:53 p.m. on Dresden Avenue for a motorcycle traveling at a high rate of speed. Matthew Powell, age and address not provided, was issued a citation and a court date for driving under suspension. Calcutta Towing was called to impound the motorcycle.

— An officer was dispatched to NAPA Auto Parts on Sept. 25 at 5:11 p.m. for a report of a customer throwing parts around the store and shouting profanities. The customer had left the store before the officers arrived. The manager told officers the customer was no longer welcomed in the store, and they wanted a report on file in case something else were to happen.

— An officer was dispatched to Walmart on Sept. 26 at 12:54 p.m. for a female shoplifter. Jamila Cameron, 25, address not provided, was observed on CCTV switching bar codes on items. She failed to pay for 15 items totaling $254.72. The officer requested a warrant be issued for Cameron, who left the store with the merchandise.

— An officer was dispatched to a hit and run on state Route 170 on Sept. 26 at 4:32 p.m. Christine McCurdy, 54, address not given, who fled the scene of the accident, ended up driving past the officer while on the scene heading the opposite direction. The officer followed the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop. McCurdy had a disheveled appearance and smelled of alcohol along with blood shot eyes and slurred speech. The officer also detected an odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. The officer terminated the field sobriety test due to her level of intoxication, putting her at risk of a fall and placed her under arrest and transported her to the police station. The officer reported McCurdy continued to act in a belligerent manner and refused to take a BAC test. McCurdy was transported to the Columbiana County Jail.

— A female came to the police department to file a harassment report on Sept. 27 at 3:37 p.m. The female stated that another female was harassing her through text message and social media posts, and she just wanted a report on file.

— A female reported to officers on Sept. 29 at 2:21 p.m. that her name and social security number were used to set up a new account through AT&T. Charges totaling $906.48 were charged to her for an address she has never owned or been to in Nashville, Tennessee.

— An officer conducted a traffic stop on Dresden Avenue on Oct. 1 at 9:35 a.m. for a vehicle with a loud or defective exhaust. Both the driver, John Powell, 59, address not provided, and passenger, William Wilt, 61, address not provided, were cited for an open container in a motor vehicle. Powell was also cited for driving under suspension. The vehicle was towed by Calcutta Towing.

— An officer was dispatched to the 16000 block of St. Clair Avenue on Oct. 2 at 8:46 a.m. for a report of breaking and entering. The business owner of Balzers Heating and Cooling told police that someone pried the back door open and stole an old expansion tang. The owner of API told officers someone pried his door open and removed a Jack Daniels bottle with approximately $20-$30 of change in it from the front desk.

East Liverpool

— Officers were dispatched on Sept. 18 at 7:24 p.m. to the 800 block of Lincoln Avenue for a neighborhood dispute. Everyone involved was advised to leave each other alone.

— An officer conducted a traffic stop on Jefferson Street on Sept. 18 at 5:59 p.m. for a vehicle with hazard lights on. The driver said there was something wrong with the tire and the car was driving funny. The officer advised her to pull over and find someone who could fix the issue.

— An officer responded to the 200 block of Wilbert Avenue on Sept. 18 for a domestic disturbance. A female said her husband who she is separated from opened her front window and climbed into her apartment. The female did not want to press charges but told the officer she did not feel safe knowing someone could open her window when it was locked so the officer showed her how to secure the window and told her if he came back to call 911.

— Officers responded to a neighborhood dispute in the 200 block of West 9th Street on Sept. 18 at 8:05 p.m. Upon arrival, officers noted they could hear music from 200 feet away. They spoke with a female, who said her neighbor was harassing her and that is why she had the music up. She said the neighbor keeps her children up all through the night. The neighbor told officers the female always blares her music and threw a beer at his house. Both parties were advised to leave each other alone and if the issue continues, citations would be issued.

— Officers responded to Claiborne Street for a report of drug activity on Sept. 18 at 6:27 p.m. Officers found no activity.

— Officers checked the area of the 1500 block of Globe Street for a child crying on Sept. 18 at 1:57 a.m., but after checking the area extensively found nothing.

— An officer responded on Sept. 18 at 1:20 p.m. to a report of a white sedan driving the wrong side of U.S. Route 30 but did not locate the vehicle.

— Officers responded to the 100 block of West 2nd Street on Sept. 18 at 9:41 p.m. for a report of a possible intruder in the home. Officers checked the home and found nobody inside and nothing out of place.

— An officer responded to a vehicle crash at West 8th and Lisbon streets on Sept. 18 at 10:24 a.m.

— Officers were dispatched to the 1600 block of Pennsylvania Avenue for a possible domestic on Sept. 19 at 1:07 p.m. Officers spoke to a child who said there was nothing physical they were just arguing.

— Officers were dispatched to Family Dollar for a disturbance inside a vehicle on Sept. 19 at 12:22 p.m. An officer spoke to the driver and passenger who both said everything was fine, that they were just lost. The officer escorted them to where they needed to go.

— An officer responded to the area of the Hot Dog Shoppe to check on a female who was reported to be lying on the cement. The officer recognized the female and woke her to ask if she was okay. She said she was and was just taking a nap.

— An officer responded to West 9th Street in regard to a female busting her aunt’s window. The officer found the female walking with her family, and she had a mental breakdown on the side of the road. The aunt refused to press charges and the female was sent to the hospital.

— Officers were dispatched to the 800 block of Riverview Street on Sept. 19 at 10:42 a.m. for a report of a disturbance. The officers arrived to find a female in a verbal argument with her mother.

— An officer conducted a traffic stop on state Route 39 on Sept. 19 at 6:44 p.m. for a vehicle with dark tinted windows and a traffic control violation. The driver gave the officer a fake social security number and identified himself as James Nelson. The driver was actually Timothy Keys, 44, address not provided, who had an active warrant and was taken into custody. The passenger, identified as Robert Herron, 30, address not provided, was taken into custody for drug paraphernalia. First Class Towing impounded the vehicle.

— Officers were dispatched to the Marshall Apartments on Sept. 19 at 9:20 p.m. for a neighbor dispute. Both parties were advised to leave each other alone.

— An officer responded on Sept. 19 at 8:23 p.m. to the 100 block of West 6th Street for a suicidal male. The officer made contact with the male who said he didn’t intend to harm himself. The officer advised him to call for help if his mental status changed.

— Officers checked the abandoned apartment building in the 300 block of Norton Street on Sept. 19 for people coming and going. The exterior of the building appeared to be deteriorating so the officer did not feel safe checking the interior, but noted nothing was heard or seen by the officers while they were there.

— Officers were dispatched on Sept. 19 at 7:54 a.m., to the 800 block of Louise Street for a child that was bitten by a dog. The officer spoke to Joseph Sears, age and address not provided, the dog owner, who said he let his dog out and it ran across the street to the bus stop and bit a child. The officer advised the child’s mother to take the child to the hospital or family doctor and cited Sears for the dog being on the loose.

— An officer responded to a report of a vehicle on Burford Street that has been there for months with no plates on it on Sept. 20 at 2:34 p.m.
