East Liverpool Police

— A male came into the station on Oct. 5 at 1:59 p.m. and spoke to an officer to report his vehicle being stolen from the 1900 block of Ohio Avenue. The male did not have any documentation on the vehicle and was advised to come back with a copy of the VIN or title.

— An officer was dispatched on Oct. 5 at 1:41 p.m. to the 1600 block of Holliday Street for an open door on a house. The officer cleared the residence and locked the door.

— Officers were dispatched to Avondale Street on Oct. 5 at 4:36 p.m. for a male yelling in the streets. Officers made contact with the male who was calm when they arrived, and he said he was upset due to the mirror on truck being taken off by another vehicle.

— Officers responded to a dog attack in the 1200 block of Erie Street on Oct. 5 at 4:53 p.m. A male told officers that his dog had gone to the bathroom in a yard two houses down and when he went to get a bag to clean it up the owner of the property came and screamed in his face and turned his dog loose to attack him and his dog.

— An officer took a report from a female on Oct. 5 at 4:13 p.m. regarding a male harassing her. The officer attempted to find the male but was not able. The officer advised the female to get a protection order.

— Officers were dispatched to the area of state Route 39 on Oct. 5 at 4:23 p.m. for vehicles that were pulled to the side of the road and the occupants fighting. Officers checked the area but found nothing.

— An officer spoke with a male on Parkway Avenue on Nov. 5 at 3:57 p.m. who was going door-to-door asking residents to do a survey. The male said he was with River Valley Organizing. The officer advised the male to get a permit through the city to go door-to-door. The male said he would stop for the day.

— Officers were dispatched to the 300 block of North Shadylane on Oct. 6 at 10:38 p.m. for David Gamble, 34, address not provided, trying to get into a female’s apartment. Gamble was placed into custody for domestic violence.

— An officer spoke to a female over the telephone on Oct. 6 at 8:36 a.m. regarding needing to get her son’s belongings inside her residence.

— An officer checked a suspicious vehicle on North Surry Road on Oct. 6 at 8:45 a.m. The vehicle was an investigator for the State of Ohio.

— A female came to the station on Oct. 6 at 8:32 p.m. to report that her son had left home because he did not want to do the dishes. The female discovered her son sitting on the steps to city hall when she got to the police department. The juvenile stated he came there because he was going to call the police on his mother, but she took his phone.

— Officers responded to Mulberry Street on Oct. 6 at 12:09 a.m., for a report of a male siphoning gas from a car. The officers checked the area but did not find anyone.

— Officers were dispatched on Oct. 6 at 3:40 p.m. to Idaho Avenue for a male banging on doors saying he was with a company going door-to-door. The officer made contact with a male who proved he worked for Direct Energy and that they had a permit. The officer called his boss and found the permit had expired. They were advised if they planned on coming back, they would need to go to city hall and get another permit.

— An officer responded on Oct. 6 at 3:33 a.m. to the 800 block of Northside Street to check for suspicious activity. The caller reported hearing noises outside the residence and lights shining through windows. The officer checked the neighborhood and found nothing.

— A female reported on Oct. 6 at 7:32 a.m. that her mother was having a medical emergency and locked herself in the bedroom and made suicidal threats. When the officers arrived, she was out of the bedroom and getting dressed. She willingly went to the hospital by ambulance.

— On officer on patrol on Oct. 6 at 12:36 a.m. observed a condemned house with a door closed that had been left open for a period of time. Wilbert Faulk, 64, address not provided, was discovered inside the house and taken into custody for an outstanding warrant.

— Officers were dispatched on Oct. 6 at 6:24 p.m. to the 700 block of Wilbert Avenue for a welfare check. The resident denied the officers entry to the apartment and was advised that a report will be sent to CMHA.
