Lisbon
— Officers responded at 2:08 a.m. Nov. 1 to Rite Aid, state Route 45, for an alarm drop, but found all doors and windows secure.
County Sheriff
— A deputy was dispatched at 3:43 p.m. Oct. 31 to Scott Drive, Knox Township, for a welfare check, but no one was there.
— A spokesman for Majestic Rides, state Route 7, Fairfield Township, reported at 3:25 p.m. Friday that several cords were cut from amusement rides parked outside.
— A suspicious person was reported at 2:58 a.m. Friday walking through a yard with a flashlight, but deputies were unable to find anyone.
— A noise complaint was reported at 12:20 a.m. Friday at Pleasant Valley Trailer Park on Creek Road, New Waterford. Deputies made contact with the resident after a person outside burning wire ran off. The resident was not cooperative with who was burning the wire and stripping it, but did put the fire out. The resident was warned about burning and creating noise in the future.
— Deputies responded at 11:05 p.m. Thursday to state Route 170, Unity Township, for a welfare check, but the homeowner said the person didn’t live there.
— A caller from Fairfield Township at 2:41 p.m. Oct. 29 reported being contacted by someone she has a protection order against via text message. The message was unsent prior to the caller seeing what it said.
— Deputies searched the area of Teegarden Road, Hanover Township after a 911 hangup call at 2:54 a.m. Oct. 29. When dispatchers tried to call the number back, a series of yelling could be observed in the background. Deputies were unable to locate the source.
— Deputies were dispatched to Mick Road, Yellow Creek Township at 2:47 a.m. Oct. 29 for a noise complaint. The homeowner was cleaning up after a small gathering and said they would be going to bed for the night.
— A deputy at 12:48 a.m. Oct. 29 assisted local EMS agencies with a male having a manic episode. The male was transported to a local hospital for evaluation.
— A suspicious vehicle was reported at 11:54 p.m. Oct. 28 on East Liverpool Road in Madison Township, but was not found.
— Deputies were dispatched at 6:20 p.m. Oct. 28 to South Lane Drive, Hanover Township for a male who needed removed from the property. The male was transported by local EMS to a local hospital after he started to experience a medical emergency.
— A woman called at 12:12 a.m. Oct. 28 to report her daughter was missing for five hours from Youngstown, saying she was staying in a homeless shelter in Youngstown and left to go to work in Liberty Township. She was told she would have to call the Mahoning County Sheriff’s Office. She said she already spoke with them and the police departments and nobody would help her. She was told the Columbiana County Sheriff’s Office could not investigate crimes occurring in other counties, then the caller abruptly hung up. She called back a few minutes later and requested the number for the Mahoning County Sheriff’s Office.
— An alarm was checked at 2:17 a.m. Oct. 25 at Phil’s Sales and Service LLC, Columbiana-Lisbon Road, Fairfield Township, where the buildings were found secure.
Goshen
–Roger Swonger, 54, Canton, was cited for obeying traffic control devices after his eastbound vehicle on West South Range Road was observed running a red light at 5:13 p.m. Thursday.
–Emily Coman, 22, Berlin Center, was cited for expired registration stemming from a traffic stop after her vehicle on state Route 165 passed officers on an existing traffic stop without due caution at 6:33 p.m. Wednesday.
–Alyssa Smith, 31, Sebring, was cited for driving under suspension after a random registration check on her vehicle on Main Street showed the owner as suspended at 3:25 p.m. Wednesday.
–Alex Ico, 22, North Canton, was cited for driving without a license after his vehicle failed to yield to oncoming traffic when backing out of a private drive onto Lisbon Road, causing it to be struck by a vehicle driven north on Lisbon Road by Jacob Oliver, 30, Salem, at 7:27 a.m. Tuesday in Green Township. Oliver was transported to the Salem Regional Medical Center by the Green Township Fire Department for suspected serious injuries. While on scene officers learned that Ico had an active warrant for his arrest out of Canton, taking him into custody and meeting Canton police in Alliance to transfer custody of Ico.
–John Graham, 40, North Georgetown, was cited for obeying traffic control devices after his southbound vehicle on West South Range Road was observed running a stop sign at 12:59 p.m. Monday.
Salem
— Officers responded to the 2400 block of East State Street at 6:59 p.m. Sunday for a report of an intoxicated man. Officers observed the man to be stumbling and advised him of the complaint. The man advised that he was waiting for his friend to get off work to give him a ride home. Officers assisted the man into the vehicle.
— Officers responded to the 600 block of East Fourth Street at 4:57 p.m. Sunday for a reported civil matter. The caller advised his landlord had entered the garage he rents without permission and wanted officers to explain to the landlord that he couldn’t enter the garage without permission. The landlord advised that the caller was late on rent and that was why he entered the garage. The landlord was advised that due to it being in the contract he could not entre unless he had permission and was also advised of the eviction process.
— Officers responded to the 900 block of Newgarden Avenue at 4:04 p.m. Sunday for a report of telecommunications harassment. Officers spoke to the caller who advised that the person would not stop messaging her. Officers spoke with the person and advised him to cease contact with the caller or he could face criminal charges.
— Officers responded to a business in the 1800 block of North Ellsworth Avenue at 1:27 p.m. Sunday for a wellness check. The caller advised an employee’s vehicle was in the parking lot and was supposed to be open. Officers made contact with a key holder who advised they were closed, and the employee had left her vehicle there overnight.
— Officers responded to the 200 block of South Lincoln Avenue at 12:35 p.m. Sunday for a 911 hang-up call. Officers spoke with the owner of the business that was closed and advised that he did not call 911.
— Officers responded to the 2500 block of Bentley Drive at 12:17 p.m. Sunday for a wellness check. The caller advised there was a person sleeping on the side of the road, but officers were unable to locate them.
— Officers responded to the area of North Ellsworth Avenue at 11:32 a.m. Sunday for a reported juvenile problem. The caller advised that there was a juvenile riding a scooter in the roadway. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate the juvenile in question.
— Officers responded to the 1900 block of Southeast Boulevard at 10:09 a.m. Sunday for a reported 911 hang-up call. Officers found that a juvenile in the area had accidentally dialed 911.
— Officers responded to the area of Centennial Park at 12:30 p.m. Sunday for a report of a vehicle in the park after hours. Officers spoke with the driver, advising them of the park hours.
— Officers responded to the area of West State Street at 1:13 a.m. Sunday to assist Ohio State Highway Patrol with a traffic stop.
— Officers responded to the 800 block of West Pershing Street at 12:31 a.m. Sunday for a reported noise complaint. The caller advised that someone was playing music loudly over a speaker. Officers located the man and advised him of the complaint. The man agreed to turn the music off.
— Officers responded to the 900 block of West Wilson Street at 9:10 p.m. Saturday for a report of a runaway juvenile. While en route officers located the juvenile on West State Street and transported her back to the residence.
