— Officers responded to the Flying Pig at 7:28 p.m. Saturday for a report of a dispute between a man and woman inside the establishment. Officers spoke with both parties and the male half was immediately detained after placing his hands out and advising officers to take him to jail. During the investigation the man and woman were found to be husband and wife and no physical violence had occurred between them. Personnel requested the man be issued a trespass warning no to return the property. The male half, Nicholad Sloan, 42, Cleveland, was found to have multiple felony warrants for contempt of court out of Lorain County. Lorain County confirmed the warrants and advised they would extradite. Sloan was placed into custody and transported to the police department for processing. At the police department Sloan signed the trespass warning and a rule-four extradition form and then transported them to the Columbiana County Jail to await extradition back to Lorain County.
— Officers responded to the 100 block of South Lincoln Avenue at 6:10 p.m. Saturday for a report of criminal trespassing and criminal damaging. The caller advised that he believed someone known to him had entered his residence without his permission and taken his cat and had damaged a window on his residence as well as his work vehicle. Officers will attempt to review video systems from the area to see if the person can be identified.
— Officers responded to the 100 block of South Lincoln Avenue at 11:01 a.m. Saturday for a reported domestic in progress. Officers found the female party outside the house with the male half standing in the doorway to the house. The female party advised a physical altercation had occurred; officers did not observe any marks on the woman that would indicate a physical altercation at the time of the report. Officers photographed the areas that the woman advised were hurt. Officers obtained a written statement from both parties and advised the matter would be sent for review.
— Officers responded to the 500 block of Columbia Street at 6:18 a.m. Saturday for a report of burglary. Officers found the person in question, Pedro Ambrocio, 19, Salem, on the front porch of the residence. The caller advised that they did not know Ambrocio, and that he had been banging on the window to the front door and broken it. Officers obtained a written statement from the caller and Ambrocio was taken into custody charged with criminal trespass, criminal damaging and underage consumption.
— Officers responded to the 400 block of West Third Street at 8:35 p.m. Friday for a report of suspicious activity. The caller advised that flashlights were observed inside and outside of the residence, and she was unable to see if any vehicle were in the driveway. Officers were able to make contact with the homeowner who advised that his kids were playing with flashlights.
— Officers responded to the 1200 block of Franklin Avenue at 4:40 p.m. Friday for a road rage incident. Officers located the driver in question, advising her of the complaint. She advised she understood and was just frustrated with the construction being in front of her house.
— Officers responded to the 100 block of Washington Avenue at 3:40 p.m. Friday for a wellness check. Officers were unable to make contact with the person in question.
— Officers responded to the Flying Pig on North Ellsworth Avenue at 11:09 p.m. Monday in reference to someone pulling a firearm and pointing it at an employee. The person in question left before officers arrived. The matter is under investigation and charges are pending.
— An officer responded to the 500 block of Walnut Street at 7:48 p.m. Monday in reference to multiple people attempting to get into an apartment in which they were not allowed. The officer spoke with the tenant of the apartment in question and learned the people were allowed to there.
— Officers responded to the 500 block of North Lincoln Avenue at 7:41 p.m. Monday where a resident reported an argument with a friend while he was visiting and that she was afraid of him because he was acting as if having a medical issue or may have taken something. Medical personnel responded and transported the man to the Salem hospital.
— Officers responded to the 300 block of West Second Street at 7:30 p.m. Monday in reference to a suspicious person who may possibly have stolen some keys while in the body shop. The person in question was located and agreed to return to the business with the keys he had, none of which were found to belong to the dealership.
— Officers responded to the Salem hospital at 7:13 p.m. Monday in reference to an irate patient who made threats as he was leaving. Officers found that the patient was treated and released and had made threats on his way out. Hospital staff said the patient was fine while being treated and was released to his mother. Officers contacted the patient’s mother, who said they were home and he was fine.
