— Tyler J. Sadler, 23, Salem, was cited for driving under suspension, reckless operation, drug paraphernalia (marijuana) and open container in a motor vehicle after a patrolling officer at 11:14 p.m. Friday observed him driving his vehicle in a reckless manner in the area of East Pershing Street and Park Avenue, then pulling into a drive in the 300 block of Fair Avenue.

— Officers responded to the 900 block of Morris Avenue at 7:09 p.m. Friday where a resident reported her dog had put its head under a fence with a neighboring property when a juvenile neighbor kicked it. Officers spoke with the juvenile, who denied kicking the dog. Officers advised the complainant to fix the holes where her dog can stick its head under the fence.

— Officers responded to the Salem Regional Medical Center at 1:44 p.m. Friday to assist the Columbiana County Sheriff’s Office with a combative prisoner, standing by until hospital staff evaluated him.

— Officers responded to the 400 block of Ohio Avenue at 8:37 a.m. Friday in reference to a juvenile in the roadway. Officers located the juvenile’s home and spoke with a family member, who said that the juvenile had recently learned how to unlock the door and she was in the process of getting new ones. The matter was forwarded to children services.

— Officers responded to the 900 block of North Lincoln Avenue at 8:16 p.m. Thursday in reference to a juvenile problem and spoke with the parents and juvenile, who resolved the issue for the time being.

— An officer responded to the 800 block of East School Street at 7:30 p.m. Thursday in reference to a fight and spoke with a large group of people. The officer advised them to go their separate ways.

— Police responded to the 1000 block of East Pershing Street at 5:52 p.m. Thursday where a resident reported her son had caused an issue on the school bus and wanted the seriousness of his behavior explained to him.

— Officers responded to the 2300 block of Southeast Boulevard at 5:46 p.m. Thursday in reference to two men attempting to serve people eviction notices in what appeared to be a scam. Officers checked the area, but were unable to find the men in question.

— Police responded to a North Lincoln Avenue home at 4:28 p.m. Thursday where the resident reported employees of a rental business were attempting to retrieve property she is renting. The employees said the resident had failed to make payments on the property and had incurred several late fees. The resident refused to return the property and the employees were told it is a civil matter.

— Police responded to the 2500 block of Lexington Avenue at 4:05 p.m. Thursday in reference to a person to be removed. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the man in question who said he was leaving.

— Susan Joy, 18, Lisbon, was cited for assured clear distance ahead following a two-vehicle crash in the 1500 block of South Lincoln Avenue at 3:40 p.m. Thursday in which she was southbound and failed to stop for traffic at Carbon Street, striking the rear of a vehicle driven by Michael Knag, 51, Lisbon. No injuries were reported.

— An officer responded to the Salem Jr./Sr. High School at 2:47 p.m. Thursday to serve a warrant for unruliness on a juvenile who had run away from home earlier in the day. The juvenile was transported to the Tobin Center.
