— Officers spoke to a woman at the police department at 5:48 p.m. Tuesday for a report of a missing juvenile. The woman advised that her juvenile son had left the day prior and hadn’t returned home. A missing person form was filled out.

— Officers responded to the 1900 block of Southeast Boulevard at 4:17 p.m. Tuesday to assist the fire department in investigating a possible natural gas leak. Officers provided traffic control until the fire department cleared.

— Officers responded to the 900 block of East Fifth Street at 3:56 p.m. Tuesday for a speak with officer report. The caller advised that he was receiving Facebook messages from a man who claimed he was going to steal his soul. Officers advised the caller to block the person, which he advised he would. Officers spoke with the other person and advised him to cease all contact.

— Officers responded to the area of Granite Avenue and West Perry Street at 2:56 p.m. Tuesday for a reported dog bite. The caller advised that a dog that frequently runs at large while the owner is not present, attacked and bit another dog which was on a leash walking with the owner of the dog. Officers were able to make contact with the owner of the dog who was confirmed to have previously been issued a citation in the past for the same dog running at large. Officers advised the owner they would be charged for the incident.

— Officers responded to the 500 block of Perry Street at 12:04 a.m. Tuesday for a wellness check on a man. Officers made contact with the man who advised him of the complaint and to contact his father.

— Officers responded to the 900 block of North Union Avenue at 11:39 a.m. Tuesday for a report of a man yelling and throwing things. Officers located the man in the 600 block, speaking with him and advising he had been agitated by a motorist near East Ninth Street and vented his frustrations. He advised he was okay and apologized for any disturbance he may have caused.

— Officers responded with the fire department to the 700 block of South Lundy Avenue at 11:01 a.m. Tuesday for a report of a tree that fell down and struck a power line. Officers closed the roadway until Ohio Edison arrived on scene and turned the power off.

— Officers responded to the 100 block of South Howard Avenue at 10:37 a.m. Tuesday for a juvenile complaint. The caller advised that her juvenile grandson keeps opening the door for and allowing her juvenile granddaughter to roam outside unattended. Officers advised the grandson of the dangers of what he is doing and advised him to no longer open the door for his sister, and he advised he understood and that he would no longer do it.

— Officers investigated a report of possible child abuse in the city involving an infant child. Officers spoke with all parties involved and will investigate the matter. Children Services are also investigating.

— Officers responded to a business in the 100 block of West State Street at 3:16 a.m. Thursday for a report of suspicious people. The caller advised multiple people were just standing in the parking lot and it didn’t seem right. Officers found them to have left the area prior to their arrival.

— Officers responded to the 100 block of West State Street at 7:58 p.m. Wednesday for a report of a counterfeit bill. While checking the money drawer an employee discovered a fake $20 bill and the item was taken and placed into evidence.

— Officers responded to the 800 block of West Pershing Street at 4:11 p.m. Wednesday for a report of harassment. Officers spoke with the caller who advised that a person known to them would not leave them alone and is constantly yelling at him. Officers advised the caller of their options for dealing with the situation. Another officer was able to locate the person involved, advising them to cease their actions.

— Officers responded to the 500 block of North Lincoln Avenue at 4:10 p.m. Wednesday for a report of a person to be removed. Officers spoke with the person who advised that he was gathering his belongings and leaving. Officers advised him not to return to the property or he could face criminal charges.

— Officers responded to the 1000 block of East Third Street at 3:29 p.m. Wednesday for a reported juvenile problem. Officers spoke with the involved parties and the juvenile was subsequently transported to the emergency room by ambulance.

— Officers responded to the 500 block of North Lincoln Avenue at 3:02 p.m. Wednesday for a report of a person to be removed. Officers spoke with the person in question who advised that he had only been staying at the residence for three days. Officers advised him he had to leave the residence and he gathered his belongings and left.

— Officers responded to the 100 block of West State Street at 2:23 p.m. Wednesday to assist an agent from the Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force with an arrest in the city.
