County Sheriff
— A deputy at 3:42 p.m. Tuesday was dispatched to South 12th Street, Knox Township, for a medical call. Sebring EMS transported the person to Aultman Alliance Community Hospital.
— A woman on Hillcrest Road, Yellow Creek Township, reported at 5:43 a.m. Tuesday that her vehicle was damaged.
— Deputies were dispatched at 5:04 a.m. Tuesday to Salineville Road West, Salineville, for a person unconscious and possibly overdosing. North Star EMS transported the person to East Liverpool City Hospital.
Wellsville
— An officer on patrol July 4 heard yelling from the rear of a residence in the 900 block of Main Street at 11:50 p.m. The officer stopped and asked what the problem was and was told by Travis Saddler, age and address not provided, that someone had stolen his keys. The officer detected a strong smell of alcohol on Saddler’s breath and his speech was slurred. Saddler was arrested for persistent disorderly conduct.
— A male came to the police department on July 28 at 9:45 p.m. to report that he had hit a deer on state Route 45 near the underpass coming to Wellsville.
— Dispatch received a call at approximately 11:54 a.m. July 30 reporting a person acting erratically near Peps Carry-out. The officers upon arrival were flagged down by several people who were surrounding a male lying unresponsive on the ground. Officers contacted Life-Team who arrived and administered four doses of Naloxone nasal spray and transported him to the East Liverpool hospital.
— Officers were dispatched to 10th Street on July 31 at 1:13 p.m. for a theft complaint. The complainant told the officer when he went to leave he noticed several items from his company truck on the street and the lock on the back of the truck broken and lying on the ground. A bag, shoes, fishing poles, tackle box and the company GPS were taken from the truck.
— Officers responded to a disturbance call between Fifth and Sixth streets and Washington on Aug 1 at 12:11 a.m. Officers spoke with multiple parties involved. Assault charges were filed against Donna Aber, 29, address not provided. She was served with her charges and a court date but not arrested due to her pregnancy.
Salem
— Officers responded to a business in the 1800 block of East State Street at 11:11 a.m. Wednesday for a report of criminal damaging. The callers advised that the business’ sign that was near the curb lawn had been struck by a vehicle, and that he nor any of the other store employees had seen the incident take place. Officers documented the damage done and provided the caller with a report number.
— Officers responded to the 2500 block of Bentley Drive at 10:20 a.m. Wednesday for a speak with officer report. Officers advised the caller of her options for dealing with the situation.
— William Shaw, 62, New Waterford, was cited for failure to yield after his westbound vehicle failed to stop at the intersection causing it to be struck by a vehicle driven south by Larry Sebrell, 69, Salem, at 5:52 a.m. Wednesday.
— Officers responded to the 100 block of Ohio Avenue at 5:23 a.m. Wednesday for a fight. Officers were advised that a person who was extremely intoxicated was throwing things around the residence. The caller and his girlfriend advised that the person was threatening them and had thrown a bookshelf into the corridor of their bedroom. The person, who was observed screaming when officers arrived, was issued a warning for disorderly conduct and was advised to cease her behavior. She was advised that she would be arrested for disorderly conduct if the issue persists.
— Officers responded to the 100 block of Ohio Avenue at 4:19 a.m. Wednesday for a report of someone wanting to speak to officers. Officers attempted to make contact with the caller unsuccessfully.
— Officers responded to the 900 block of East Third Street at 3:10 a.m. Wednesday for a report of a stolen mini motor bike and a bicycle was taken around three weeks ago. Officers collected information from the owners.
— Officers responded to the 100 block of Ohio Avenue at 2:29 a.m. Wednesday for a report of a disorderly intoxicated person. The caller advised his mother was intoxicated and was threatening him and his girlfriend who also lives at the residence. Officers made contact with both parties and spoke about the issues with them. Officers advised them to stay away from each other for the remainder of the night.
— Officers responded to the 700 block of East Third Street at 1:15 a.m. Wednesday for a report of a man causing a disorderly scene. Officers found the juvenile to be intoxicated due to consuming alcohol, and due to his behavior, the juvenile was transported to the Salem Emergency Room to be evaluated, and once released transported to the Tobin Center, charged with underage consumption.
— Officers responded to the 100 block of Ohio Avenue at 11:36 p.m. Tuesday for a report of an injured dog. The humane agent responded and obtained the dog.
— Officers responded to the 1000 block of East Fourth Street at 8:31 p.m. Tuesday for a reported domestic in progress. When officers arrived, they learned there was no domestic, but that the person was just yelling about something unrelated.
— Officers responded to a residence in the 1200 block of Southeast Boulevard at 6:42 p.m. Tuesday for a wellness check on an elderly man that had not been seen by neighbors for several days and had mail piling up. Officers found the front door unsecure and heard a faint call from the resident. Officers entered to check on him and found he had fallen sometime the night before and had been lying in an awkward position for hours. The fire department and EMT were contacted to responded, and the man was transported to the Salem Regional Medical Center for evaluation. Two family members were contacted by dispatch.
— Officers responded to the 100 block of West Fifth Street at 6:34 p.m. Tuesday for a report of a juvenile getting bullied. The caller advised that he just wanted officers to speak with the parents of the other juvenile involved. Officers made contact with all parties and advised them to leave each other alone.
— Officers responded to the 800 block of South Lundy Avenue at 9:42 a.m. Tuesday to deliver a message. Officers attempted contact but were unsuccessful.
