County Sheriff

— An alarm drop was reported at 7:40 p.m. Saturday on Crestview Road, Salem Township, but all doors and windows were secure at ground level.

— A caller from Hoffee Road, Hanover Township, reported at 7:08 p.m. Saturday that a blue Dodge van with heavy front end damage was pulling in and out of driveways. The vehicle was not found.

— A resident on state Route 644, Washington Township, reported at 4:27 p.m. Saturday that subjects were trespassing on the property. Deputies checked the area, but didn’t locate anyone.

— Norfolk Southern Railroad reported trespassers on the tracks in the 1700 block of Neeld Road, Unity Township, at 3:21 p.m. Saturday, but deputies didn’t find anyone.

— A person having a medical issue was reported at 3:14 p.m. Saturday on Clinton Street, Hanoverton. EMT Ambulance transported the person to Aultman Alliance Community Hospital.

— A possible disturbance was reported at 11:16 p.m. Friday on St. Jacob Logtown Road, Center Township, where a deputy made contact with some campers who said everything was copacetic and they played a prank on the one group of campers.

— Suspicious activity was reported at 10:48 p.m. Friday on Cricket Lane, Fairfield Township, which allegedly occurred while the homeowner was at the store.

— A welfare check was requested at 8:27 p.m. Friday on Rochester Road, West Township. The person was fine.

— An Adams Road resident in Unity Township at 5:56 p.m. Friday reported a vehicle sitting on the side of the road with multiple vehicles stopping. A deputy spoke to the driver, who said the brakes went out and he had someone coming to help him.

— A spokesman for Southern Local schools, state Route 39, Washington Township, reported at 4:20 p.m. Friday that people on dirt bikes and someone in a black truck were trespassing on the property. Deputies checked the area, but did not find the vehicles.

— A deputy responded at 6:22 a.m. Thursday to a 911 call for a reported crash from a phone near the area of U.S. Route 62 in Butler Township. No vehicle crash was found. Contact was made with residents in the area and the deputy found a phone had fallen from a vehicle and sent out an alert. The family and the phone owner had been looking for the phone. The deputy located the damaged phone in the owner’s driveway and returned it.

— A suspicious vehicle was observed at 4:22 a.m. July 19 in the parking lot of J & J Tire unsecured and with an interior light on. The owner was contacted and the vehicle was secured.

Perry Township

— Officers on patrol in the 1900 block of South Lincoln Avenue at 10:55 p.m. Sunday noticed several cars in the Salem Golf Club Parking lot. Officers spoke with the staff and found no issues.

— Officers responded to the 100 block of Prospect Street at 9:04 p.m. Sunday for a report of a woman attempting to harm herself. Officers spoke with the woman and involved parties and were advised that no statements or actions were made.

— Officers spoke to a man at 5:34 p.m. Sunday who advised the mother of his child was not complying with the shared parenting agreement that they have in place. Officers advised him that the matter was a civil complaint and he would have to consult his attorney to resolve the matter.

— Officers responded to the 800 block of East pigeon Road at 3:44 p.m. Sunday for a report of a man mowing and blowing grass on the road. Officers arrived and informed the man that he could not blow grass on the road. The man advised he would stop.

— Officers on patrol in the 400 block of Georgetown Road at 4:38 a.m. Sunday located a suspicious vehicle in a parking lot. Officers found the vehicle to be unoccupied and secure.

— Officers responded to the 900 block of Benton Road at 4:57 p.m. Saturday for a report of a neighbor’s dog that keeps wandering onto the property. The caller advised the dog comes over at all hours of the day and barks and growls at him. Officers responded to the 800 block of North Ohio Boulevard and attempted to make contact with the owner of the dog. Officers were unable to make contact with the owner.

— Officers responded to Salem Acres at 12:14 p.m. Saturday for a report of burglary. The caller advised that they left the apartment for a few hours and when they returned to their residence their door was open and things were moving around. A full bottle of pills, a bag of clothes and an iPhone were missing from the residence. Officers did not observe any signs of forced entry anywhere on the property and a report was made.

— Officers responded to the 1100 block of Elberon Avenue at 6:44 p.m. Friday for a report of a man going door to door introducing himself as a realtor. Officers arrived and spoke to the man, who informed officers he is a realtor but was just handing out information and not attempting to sell anything. Officers informed him that soliciting is not allowed and the man assured them he wouldn’t be.
