— Deputies received a phone call at 1:27 p.m. on Saturday from a woman on Orange Street in Knox Township regarding her neighbors shooting a pellet gun. She reported the neighbors were shooting into the lake and at birds.
–Deputies responded at 8:55 p.m. Saturday to Ridge Road in West Township to a report of a domestic dispute.
— Deputies received a phone call at 6:13 p.m. on Saturday from a woman at Westville Lake Road in Knox Township who said her ex-husband is hacking into her phone. She wanted to file a report.
–Deputies assisted the Ohio State Highway Patrol at 5:13 p.m. on Saturday with a traffic accident on state Route 9 in Hanover Township.
— Deputies took a report at 9:08 a.m. on Saturday of an unwanted non-residental female at North street in Knox Township. Officers made contact with the female subject and warned her for criminal trespass.
— Deputies responded at 9:11 p.m. to Fairfield Road in Fairfield Township on Friday to a report of fireworks. Deputies checked the area.
— Deputies responded at 5:29 p.m. on Friday to the county jail for a disturbance. Kelly Reed, no age given, Wellsville, was charged with disorderly conduct and harassment by an inmate.
— Deputies responded at 11:17 p.m. to West School Road for a welfare check on Thursday. Deputies made contact with the subject.
— An owner of a building on Emerick Road in Franklin Township reported at 11:32 p.m. on Thursday that his building was damaged and entered but nothing taken. He asked to file a report.
— Deputies responded at 10:34 p.m. Thursday to Main Street in Knox Township to a report of a suspicious vehicle. The area was checked and no car was found.
— Deputies responded at 7:27 p.m. Thursday to state Route 62 in Butler Township to a hang-up 911 call. Deputy made contact with the homeowner who advised nothing was wrong.
— Deputies responded at 4:43 p.m. to Butcher Road in Salem Township on Thursday for a welfare check. Officer made contact with the subject.
— Deputies responded at 2:31 p.m. to the area of state Route 62 in Knox Township on Thursday to the report of possible gunfire. Deputies investigated the area but nothing suspicious was heard or found.
— Deputies responded at 11:44 p.m. to a report of a possible prowler in state Route 157 in Elkrun Township on Wednesday. The property was checked but nothing suspicious was found.
— A theft was reported by a woman at Tenth Street Extension in Yellow Creek Township at 12:45 a.m. on Tuesday.
Lisbon
— A North Beaver Street resident reported at 9:08 a.m. Thursday that someone used his identity to try to apply for unemployment.
— Officers on patrol at 1:04 a.m. Thursday came upon a vehicle parked in the parking lot on Logtown Road in the area of the Lions Club. Officers spoke to the male occupant, who said he was down there listening to the creek flow while trying to get a plane ticket to Colorado. He said he hadn’t been in Ohio for 13 years and wanted to come back and visit. He was told the park was closed.
— Officers were called at 8:48 p.m. July 12 to find an elderly lady who escaped Allay Senior Care in Lisbon. Police searched, but didn’t find her, then Allay Senior Care notified police that she was found.
— At 5:55 p.m. July 12, police received a call from a man who said he was at sporting events at the fields and so was a woman who has a protection order against him. He said he was there first and asked who would have to leave. He was told he would have to leave. She apparently left first, so he was told if she comes back he’ll have to leave.
— An officer at 3:31 p.m. July 12 spoke with an East Washington Street man about his dog defecating in the neighbor’s yard. He was given a warning.
— A woman who works at Smith Oil on East Lincoln Way reported at 2:23 p.m. July 12 that someone used her identity to try to apply for unemployment and also used her place of employment. Smith Oil noticed the action and became suspicious since she’s currently working and in good health.
— A suspicious vehicle/person was reported on St. Jacobs-Logtown Road near the Lions Club at 12:36 p.m. July 12, but wasn’t found, with police concluding the vehicle must have been further down the road in the sheriff’s office jurisdiction.
— Officers were called at 9:57 a.m. July 12 to the area of Maple Street and Green Street for a semi truck using an unauthorized roadway, but did not find the truck.
— An unwanted person was reported at Apple Grove apartments, Saltwell Road, at 7:43 a.m. July 12. The man agreed to leave without issue.
— Vehicles were reported parked in no parking spots near the pool at Cedar Park at 6:15 p.m. July 11. The owners were contacted and moved the vehicles.
— Richard Bissell, Monticello Place, East Liverpool was cited for improper backing after backing his vehicle into another vehicle driven by Tina Metzger, Minerva, on Dickey Drive near the post office at 9:27 a.m. July 11.
— Officers were called at 7:15 a.m. July 10 for a man knocking on doors at Apple Grove Apartments, Saltwell Road. He isn’t allowed on the property. He showed up at the police station and arrangements were made for him to be taken by ambulance to Mercy Health in Youngstown, where he was to be medically checked before returning to a Youngstown facility he had left. Earlier in the morning at 3:22 a.m., the same man was found sleeping in an apartment on East Lincoln Way after the resident asked for him to be removed.
East Palestine
— Officers responded at 3:01 p.m. on Thursday to Glenwood Avenue to a report of a male subject being at the property despite the resident’s objections. Officers spoke with all parties and the male was warned for criminal trespass.
— Officers responded to East Clark Street at 5:36 p.m. on Thursday to a report of a domestic disturbance. John Reinhart, no age or address given, was arrested at the scene and charged with domestic violence.
— Officers arrested Terry Sonntog, no age or address listed, at 4:05 a.m. on Thursday at the Roadhouse on an outstanding warrant.
— A resident on West Main Street reported at 2:03 p.m. on Friday that someone was littering on his property.
— Officers took a complaint of telecommunications harassment at 5:30 p.m. on Friday at the station. The matter remains under investigation.
— Officers advised a complaint received at 7:19 p.m. at the station on Friday was a civil matter.
— Matthew Hormel, no age or address given, was cited following a traffic stop on South Street at 10:28 p.m. on Friday. Hormel was charged with driving under suspension and marked lanes.
— Officers responded to Columbiana for mutual aid at 2:36 a.m. on Saturday to a report of a combative male on Sout Vine St. The male was transported to a local hospital.
— Officers were notified at 10:33 a.m. by a property owner that two cars were abandoned on private property on Saturday. The vehicles were towed.
— Officers responded to a hang-up 911 call in the area of Park Avenue at 4:08 p.m. on Saturday. No one needing assistance was found in the area.
— Derrick Hooper, no age or address given, was cited following a traffic stop on Stacey Avenue at 9:36 p.m. on Saturday. Hooper was charged for speeding and driving under suspension. His vehicle was towed.
— Officers responded at 2:12 a.m. to West Clark Street to a report of a burglary on Saturday. The matter remains under investigation.
— Officers responded to the city park at 4:17 p.m. on Sunday after a park employee reported the smell of marijuana coming from a vehicle. A small amount of marijuana was found in the vehicle.
— Officers responded at 6:32 p.m. to a report of an unruly juvenile on Sunday. Officers spoke to the juvenile’s father and the matter was referred to Columbiana County Juvenile Court.
— Officers made contact at 7:15 p.m. on Sunday with a male subject regarding a complaint of telecommunications harassment.
— Officers responded at 5:12 a.m. to a report of a vehicle damaging a telephone pole and lines being down on Hamilton Lane. The street department was called in to assist.
Columbiana
— Columbiana officers on patrol discovered a dog tied to a leash in the front yard of a home on Union Street on July 7 at 7:11 p.m. The dog was determined to be in immediate need of medical attention due to its current condition. The dog was seized and later turned over to the Columbiana County Humane Agent. The case and its investigation was taken over by the humane agent.
— Anthony Mitchell, no age given, Youngstown, was cited for driving under suspension following a traffic stop on West Park Avenue at 2:10 p.m. on July 7.
— Officers took a report of a fallen tree on South Middle Street was taken at 3:25 p.m. on July 11.
— Abby Willis, 29, of East Liverpool was arrested and charged with possessing drug paraphernalia and issued a citation for driving under suspension following a traffic stop on state Route 7 at 12:58 a.m. on Tuesday.
— Officers responded to the Pampered Pup Grooming Salon on West Park Avenue for a private property crash report at 8:47 p.m. on Tuesday.
