Lisbon

— Officers were called at 7:29 p.m. July 3 to Personal Touch retirement home on East Lincoln Way to assist EMS with a male who was hiding from them in the residence. He had been found and was being escorted out when officers arrived and agreed to be transported to a hospital.

— Dirt bikes were reported on the bike trail extension on state Route 154 at 4:53 p.m. July 3. The dirt bikes were found at a residence and the people were advised the dirt bikes aren’t allowed on the trail.

— Gunshots were reported at 3:31 p.m. June 30 in the area of Maple Street and Maple Street Extension. No one was located and no loud noises were heard.

— Officers were called at 7:19 a.m. June 30 to the 300 block of West Washington Street for one to be removed. A woman said a man was sleeping in his truck behind her house and she didn’t want him there. Police made contact and he appeared intoxicated. He was able to have a friend give him a ride and he was told he’s not welcome at the residence anymore.

— A fire alarm was reported at 1:34 a.m. June 28 for a fire alarm, with it determined that cooking smoke set off the alarm. Officers stood by until the fire department arrived.

Salem

— Officers responded to the 400 block of Ohio Avenue at 2:31 a.m. Wednesday for a reported domestic dispute involving an intoxicated man. Officers were advised the man was purposely destroying multiple household items and that threats were made against the caller, but they refused to give any type of written statement. Further investigation showed the caller had a protection order against the man. Officers took the man, Jonathon Lagone, 21, Salem, into custody for violating a protection order and transported him to the Columbiana County jail.

— Officers responded to the 1700 block of East State Street at 2:20 a.m. Wednesday for a report of a suspicious person. The caller advised two women were yelling profanities at vehicles passing by. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate the women.

— Officers responded to the 1000 block of Cleveland Street at 12 a.m. Wednesday for a dog at large complaint. Officers responded and were unable to locate the dog but were unable to catch it. Dispatch advised the humane agent of the complaint who advised they would respond.

— Officers responded to the area of Southeast Boulevard and Franklin Avenue at 10:30 p.m. Tuesday for reports of loud noises. Officers checked the area, but nothing was located.

— Officers responded to the 500 block of Bank Street at 10:24 p.m. Tuesday for a reported domestic dispute. Officers were advised a man and woman had been heard arguing outside. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate.

— Officers responded to the 200 block of West Sixteenth Street at 7:03 p.m. Tuesday for a report of a distraught person. Officers found the person to have several self-inflicted wounds to his arms and right leg. Once officers were able to calm the person down the fire department and EMT responded to the scene, and later transported the person to a local hospital for evaluation.

— Officers responded to the 600 block of East Pershing Street at 4:37 pm. Tuesday for a possible intoxicated man. The caller advised they had observed the man trying to get off the ground and possibly attempting to get into a vehicle. No description of the man or vehicle was given, and officers checked the surrounding businesses as well as looking into vehicles to make sure nobody was passed out but were unable to locate the man.

— Officers responded to the 500 block of Continental Drive at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday for a reported break in and stolen vehicle. Officers found the vehicle on the scene, and the residence unsecured. Officers checked the residence and had it re-secured by the property manager. Witnesses on scene advised the person in the residence had left the area prior to officers’ arrival. Further investigation is pending.

— Officers responded to the 1400 block of Franklin Avenue at 2:22 p.m. Tuesday with the fire department for a medical call. Officers stood by until no longer needed.

— Officers responded to the 600 block of Park Avenue at 1:15 p.m. Tuesday for a report of harassment. The caller advised that he had been through a bad break-up and did not want his ex-girlfriend contacting him or his mother, and the mother advised she did not want the ex on her property. Officers were able to get a phone number for the ex-girlfriend and advised her not to return to the property.

— Officers responded to the 1200 block of East Pershing Street at 11:41 a.m. Tuesday for a report of a possible burglary. The caller advised a man she did not know entered her home and refused to leave, and only did so once she was on the phone with police. Officers located the person, Jesse Schisler, 38, Salem, in the 1500 block of East Pershing Street, and the caller was able to identify him as the one who had entered her residence. The person was placed under arrest for burglary and transported to the Columbiana County Jail.

— Officers responded to the 1500 block of Goshen Road at 11:17 a.m. Tuesday for a report of possible debris in the roadway. Officers checked the area within city limits and did not observe any debris. Officers requested Perry Township Officers check their area.
