-- Dirt bikes were reported on the roadway in the 41000 block of Crestview Road, Fairfield Township at 6:43 p.m. Tuesday, but were not found.
-- Multiple 911 hangup calls were reported at 4:42 p.m. Tuesday on Westville Lake Road, Knox Township. A resident said he was having phone issues and could not get the phone to stop calling 911.
-- West Branch school officials at 3:45 p.m. Tuesday requested a welfare check on a student on Homeworth Road, Knox Township. A deputy spoke to the student, who was fine, and his parents.
-- A deputy was dispatched at 3:05 p.m. Tuesday to the four-way stop at Georgetown and Rochester roads in Knox Township for vehicles not stopping. A deputy checked the area, but was unable to locate anything.
-- A deputy responded at 10:01 p.m. Saturday to Sponseller Road, Fairfield Township, for a juvenile found on a property who was lost. While en route, dispatch advised that Columbiana Police, Beaver Township Police and the juvenile's father were on the scene. The juvenile was missing from Beaver Township in Mahoning County.
-- A woman on McKee Road, Yellow Creek Township, reported at 9:02 p.m. Saturday that someone discharged a firearm outside her residence and she wanted a report on file.
-- A domestic dispute was reported at 6:13 p.m. Saturday on Lake Street, Knox Township, between a woman and her boyfriend. She signed a refusal.
Highway Patrol
-- Brad Harlan, 46, Homeworth, was cited for failure to control and OVI after his eastbound vehicle on Georgetown Road went off the right side of the road striking a guardrail, fence, and then a ditch, at 6:58 p.m. May 1.
-- Tracy Bentley, 54, Beloit, was cited for assured clear distance ahead after her northbound vehicle on state Route 9 struck the rear of a vehicle driven northbound by Justin Kale, 17, Beloit, before going off the right side of the roadway and striking a railroad tie at 5:40 p.m. April 29, in Butler Township. Bentley was transported to Salem City Hospital by Winona EMS for suspected minor injuries.
-- Nancy Sensing, 45, Hanoverton, was cited for failure to control after her westbound vehicle on U.S. Route 30 went off the right side of the roadway, striking a gas pipeline marker and coming to rest in a swampy area at 9:23 a.m. April 28, in West Township.
-- Sue Vanhorn, 77, Minerva, was cited for right of way after her eastbound vehicle on state Route 172 proceeded into the intersection and was struck by a vehicle driven northbound by Joan Toot, 79, Salem, and spun going off the right side of the roadway and striking a utility pole and a sign after impact at 6:04 p.m. April 27 in Hanover Township. No injuries were reported.
Leetonia
-- Officers responded to the Leetonia High School at 9:41 a.m. Sunday for a report of a door alarm activation. Dispatch advised the door was at the back of the building near the maintenance garage, and that a key holder was en route and would arrive in a few minutes. Officers checked the doors finding all, including the door which triggered the alarm, to be secure. When the key holder arrived officers asked if they wanted them to walk through the building with him. The key holder advised they were going to go in and reset the alarm and did not need further assistance from officers.
Liverpool Township
-- On April 30 at 10:44 a.m., an officer was dispatched to 1787 Orchard St. for a theft complaint. A female told the officer she stopped there to use the restroom because her cousin lives there, and it was nearby. She was unaware her cousin was in jail when she stopped. She said she left her phone on the kitchen table and used the restroom. After leaving the residence she noticed money was missing from her Cash App and that the app said that $69 had been sent by her to a male she was familiar with. She messaged the male who denied taking the money. The female was advised to send the officer screenshots of the money transfer and advised her if she wanted to press charges it would be petty theft if the prosecutors believe there is enough to charge him. She said she wanted to press charges.
Salem
-- Officers responded to the 1900 block of East State Street at 11:54 p.m. Sunday for a disorderly person complaint. Hospital staff advised the family of a patient were being disorderly and wanted them removed. The family advised that nobody at the hospital was being disorderly, but was at the house prior to transportation to the hospital. Officers advised staff to contact them further if they needed removed.
-- Officers responded to the 400 block of West State Street at 12:06 a.m. Sunday for a wellness check. Officers were advised that an elderly woman dressed in all black was stopping vehicles and asking for a ride to Alliance. Officers were able to locate the woman near the bypass who advised that she had a ride coming to pick her up. Officers spoke with the woman's friend on the phone who advised her boyfriend was on his way. Officers stood by until the woman's ride arrived. Perry Township officers also responded.
-- Officers responded to the intersection of Fairview Avenue and Whinnery Road at 9:04 p.m. Sunday for a report of motorcycles racing in the area and not stopping for stop signs. Officers sat stationary in the area for an extended period of time and no motorcycles were observed in the area.
-- Officers responded to the 200 block of West Fourth Street at 7:29 p.m. Sunday for a reported domestic in progress. The parties were already separated when officers arrived, and both advised that the incident was verbal only. Both had been consuming alcohol and were advised to stay away from each other for the evening.
-- Officers took a report of a sexual assault at the police department at 4:58 p.m. Sunday. The information will be forwarded to the detectives.
-- Officers responded to the 1200 block of Maple Street at 2:54 p.m. Sunday for a report of menacing. The caller advised that a woman they knew was threatening them via text and Facebook. Officers read the text and viewed the post and found nothing criminal. The caller was advised to block the woman in question.
-- Officers spoke to a woman at the police department at 2:09 p.m. Sunday for a report of menacing. The woman advised that while she was at the store a woman she knew made threats of harm toward her. The woman did not want to pursue charges at the time and didn't want officers to speak with the woman but wanted the incident on file.
-- Officers responded to the 1200 block of Southeast Boulevard at 11:31 a.m. Sunday for a report of lines down. Officers confirmed the lines were just cable lines and not in the roadway.
-- Officers responded to the 2200 block of Southeast Boulevard at 11:13 a.m. Sunday for a report of a distraught person. Officers spoke with the people involved and advised them of their options for dealing with the situation.
-- Officers responded to the 1400 block of East Pershing Street at 1:28 a.m. Sunday for a barking dog complaint. Officers contacted the homeowner and advised them of the complaint. The owner advised they would let the dog inside.
-- Officers responded to the 300 block of West Pershing Street at 11:53 p.m. Saturday for a possible sex offence. Officers gathered the information and forwarded it to a detective.
-- Officers responded to a residence in the 1300 block of South Lincoln Avenue at 5:38 a.m. Tuesday for a report of a resident needing to speak with an officer. Officers gathered the necessary information.
-- Officers responded to the area of Brooklyn Avenue and East Third Street at 8:33 p.m. Monday for a report of an unknown problem where it was reported that someone was yelling for help. Officers checked the area for several minutes but were unable to locate anyone.
-- Officers responded to the area of East State Street and Park Avenue at 8:19 p.m. Monday for a report of an unknown problem. A third party advised that a man in a blue shirt who was walking westbound on East State Street was attacked by three men who then proceeded north near Cleveland Street. Officers checked the area for several minutes but there were no signs of the men nor the potential victim.
-- Officers responded to the area of Jennings Avenue and West State Street at 7:57 p.m. Monday for a report of a juvenile that appeared to be toddler age and unattended. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate the juvenile.
-- Officers spoke with a person at the police department at 7:01 p.m. Monday for a possible sex offense. Officers took the initial report and the case was forwarded to the detective division.
-- Officers responded to the area of Park Avenue and Maple Street at 4:48 p.m. Monday for a report of a domestic dispute in the roadway. The caller advised that they observed a man and woman yelling at each other in the alleyway. The woman walked away while the man got into a silver mustang and drove away from the area. Officers checked the area but couldn't locate the man or woman.
-- Officers responded to Centennial Park at 4:33 p.m. Monday for a report of several juveniles using profanity. Officers spoke to several groups of juveniles and advised them of the complaint and that if they were caught using profanity in the park they would trespass.
-- Officers responded to a residence in the 200 block of North Cunningham Road at 2:01 p.m. Monday for a wellness check. Officers contacted the resident who advised he wanted to talk with a doctor. The man was transported to St. Elizabeth Hospital by EMT.
-- Officers responded to a residence in the 200 block of North Cunningham Road for a wellness check on a man. A third party advised officers that the man had sent his girlfriend some concerning text messages about wanting to harm himself. Officers spoke with the man who advised he was okay and didn't need anything and denied wanting to harm himself. He was advised to call if he needed anything.
-- Officers responded to a residence in the 200 block of Vine Avenue at 10:36 a.m. Monday for a report of a domestic dispute. Officers spoke with a woman who advised she was in a verbal argument with her boyfriend who left prior to officers' arrival.
-- Officers responded to the 400 block of South Lundy Avenue with the Columbiana County Special Response Team to assist the Columbiana County Drug Enforcement Task Force in executing a search warrant in the 400 block of South Lundy Avenue.
-- Officers responded to the 600 block of Sugartree Alley at 9:19 a.m. Monday for a report of property left in a parking lot. Officers checked the lot but didn't find any property.
-- Officers responded to the area of East School Street and East Seventh Street at 8:21 a.m. Tuesday for a report of a dog at large. Officers contacted the humane officer to catch the dog.
-- Officers responded to the area of Sharp Avenue and Prospect Street at 7:52 a.m. Monday for a report of a manhole cover out of place. Officers were able to slide the cover back into place.
St. Clair Township
-- An officer spoke by phone on May 2 at 11:43 a.m. to a female wanting to report that on April 25 she opened a loan at Advance America and since then she has received text messages regarding the loan including one stating the loan was paid in full when she hasn't made a payment yet. Advance America advised her to file a police report.
-- Officers conducted a traffic stop on McGuffy Drive on May 5 at 7:54 p.m. after discovering the registered owner of the vehicle, Sean Green, 38, address not given, had an active warrant through the Columbiana County Sheriff's Office.
