County Sheriff
-- A caller at 9:21 p.m. Monday from Yates Road, Salem Township, reported his landlord being angry over the health department discovering there was no septic on the property. He wanted a record in the event anything happened.
-- A woman called at 4:52 p.m. Monday from Madison Township requesting information on what to do with firearms her ex-boyfriend left at the house. She didn't want him coming back to the property. She was told she can bring them to the Sheriff's Office to turn them over.
-- A suspicious vehicle was reported at 4:34 p.m. Monday at the canoe launch at state Route 154 and Middle Beaver Road, described as a gray truck with heavily tinted windows that was running since before and after the caller was finished at the park. A deputy checked the area, but didn't find the vehicle.
-- A parking complaint was reported at 2:54 p.m. Monday on Leslie Road, Madison Township, where a vehicle was blocking an access road to a business which was expecting a delivery. A deputy responded, but found no vehicle at the pull-off where the gate is located. The gate was closed and locked.
-- A deputy assisted Lisbon Police with a domestic dispute call at 5:16 a.m. Sunday on North Vine Street.
-- A man on Rose Drive, Center Township, reported at 10:15 a.m. Saturday that he has custody of his grandson and his grandson attempted to buy a video game system online and sent an unknown person two $25 Apple gift cards and $105 through a money transfer app. The person then requested additional funds for shipping. The grandson requested a refund and was threatened with pictures sent of a rifle and loaded magazine, with threats to kill him and his family.
-- A domestic dispute was reported at 9:42 p.m. April 30 on state Route 45, Salem Township, but the victim did not wish to file any charges and signed a refusal to prosecute.
-- A neighbor dispute was reported at 12:29 p.m. April 27 on McCormick Run Road, Madison Township. Both neighbors were given criminal trespass warnings.
Highway Patrol
-- Joelianys Cotto, 24, Youngstown, was cited for failure to control after her westbound vehicle on state Route 558 went off the right side of the roadway, striking a guardrail at 9:47 p.m. Saturday in Salem Township. Cotto was treated on scene by Leetonia EMS for suspected minor injuries.
-- Lewis Miller, 34, Lisbon, was cited for failure to control, OVI and open container after her northbound vehicle on Y and O Road went off the right side of the road striking a culvert, two fence posts, and a utility pole at 9:003 p.m. in Madison Township. No injuries were reported.
-- Courtney Anderson, 20, Rogers, was cited for failure to yield after her eastbound vehicle on Salem Grange Road proceeded from a stop sign causing it to be struck by a vehicle driven northbound on state Route 45, by Bonnie Andre, 57, Salem, at 7:12 p.m. May 1, in Salem Township. Andre was transported to Salem City Hospital by Winona EMS for suspected minor injuries, and Andre's passenger, Kassidy Swanson, 16, Salem, was transported to Salem City Hospital by EMT for suspected serious injuries.
