- An East Lincoln Way resident reported at 11:46 a.m. Nov. 22 a fraud incident with his bank in which $1,997.60 had been withdrawn from his account from someone in the United Kingdom.
New Waterford
- Officers responded to the village park at 9 a.m. Nov. 21 in reference to juveniles throwing landscaping rocks into the pond. The case was sent to the county juvenile prosecutor's office for review.
- Timothy Lee Kampfer, no age or address listed, was arrested on a felony warrant out Columbiana County after officers responded to the 3600 block of East Main Street where he was allegedly trespassing.
- An East Main Street resident reported telecommunications harassment at 4:14 p.m. Nov. 19. The suspect was advised to cease communications with the complainant.
- Officers responded to the 3000 block of Pinewood Drive at 7:05 p.m. in reference to domestic disturbance and found a verbal dispute.
Salem
- A caller reported at 2:48 p.m. Saturday her husband and two children were at Centennial Park approximately two or three hours prior when an unknown juvenile with a walkie talkie approached them and asked her children to play. The juvenile then walked away speaking into her walkie talkie, at which time an adult came to her side. The caller said her husband and children left the area and observed the juvenile and adult leave together.
- An officer responded to the 100 block of West State Street at 12:50 p.m. Saturday to assist the Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force make contact with a man for an alleged sex offense. The man in question was transported to the police station for an investigation.
- An officer responded to the 900 block of Adams Avenue at 7:45 a.m. Saturday in reference to a water line break. The officer located the break and notified the water department.
- Officers responded to the 500 block of South Broadway Avenue at 11:54 p.m. Friday where an individual reported receiving threats from someone who said they were on their way to the location to physically harm him. The other person was not there and the complainant left.
- Officers responded to the 700 block of East Fifth Street at 11:05 p.m. Friday in reference to a domestic dispute. Officers spoke with all people involved and resolved the matter for the night.
- Christopher J. Dawes, 42, Salem, was charged with drug paraphernalia and driving under suspension following a traffic stop in the 1700 block of East State Street at 10:59 p.m. Friday in which contraband was discovered during a search of the vehicle initiated by his abnormal behavior. Additional charges are pended lab results.
- Officers responded to the 2100 block of Monroe Street at 9:54 p.m. Friday for a welfare check of a woman. The caller reported she was impaired on marijuana and being threatened by her son. Officers spoke with the woman who appeared to be impaired, but she denied needing any help. Medical personnel were requested to evaluate the woman and they determined nothing was needed.
- Officers responded to the 1800 block of East State Street at 8:36 p.m. Friday in reference to a man lying on the ground. Officers found the man to be having a medical issue and medical personnel responded. The man was ultimately transported to the hospital.
- Police responded to the 500 block of East Pershing Street at 3:09 p.m. Friday where a woman reported having a restraining order against the mother of a child she is watching and that the boyfriend of the mother had taken a photo of the child. Officers spoke with the man in question who denied taking photos of the child and officers were unable to find any photos of the child on his phone.
- Jeramiah Eugene Burnette, 34, Salem, was arrested on an active warrant out of Columbiana County for failure to appear on receiving stolen property after an officer on a separate call at 2:16 p.m. Friday found him to have the warrant.
- An officer responded to the 100 block of West State Street at 1:33 p.m. Friday to assist the Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force make contact with a man for an alleged sex offense. The man in question was transported to the police station for an investigation.
- David T. Pannezich III, 23, Salem, was cited for failure to control after officers responded to the 1000 block of Newgarden Avenue at 9 a.m. Friday to assist Perry Township police investigate a hit-skip crash in their jurisdiction in which his vehicle had been found with damage. Perry Township police had handled a crash in their jurisdiction for damage to some property, during the investigation of which additional damage was found to a yard and telephone pole in the 1000 block of Newgarden Avenue. Pennezich admitted to traveling off the roadway, striking a pole and damaging a yard, at approximately 12:30 a.m. that morning, but was able to continue driving to his residence. He denied consuming alcohol while operating the vehicle at the time of the crash and said he did not report it because he did not remember where the crash occurred.
