-- Officers responded to the 1200 block of Southeast Boulevard at 11:34 p.m. Saturday in reference to an irate person yelling in a parking lot. Officers were unable to find the person in question.
-- A West Wilson Street resident reported at 7:18 p.m. Saturday her ex-boyfriend was trying to sell her belongings at a garage sale in the 300 block of Newgarden Avenue. An officer accompanied the woman to the home and stood by while she retrieved her belongings.
-- Officers responded to the 200 block of West Ninth Street at 6:32 p.m. Saturday in reference to a domestic dispute in which the caller said her son had a knife to her throat and was threatening to commit suicide before hanging up. Officers were unable to find the correct address and the when contacted, the complainant refused to identify herself, said everything was fine and hung up. Officers knocked on multiple doors in the area but could not find the home in question.
-- Officers responded to the 400 bock of North Ellsworth Avenue at 5:59 p.m. Saturday where a resident reported people are having parties on a vacant lot behind her home, playing loud music and having fires. She said she did not know who owns the property. She was told to call police when the people are there being loud.
-- Christy N. Rohn, 30, Benton Road, Salem, was arrested on an active warrant out of Columbiana County for failure to appear after officers responded to the 2800 block of East State Street at 4:38 p.m. Saturday in reference to a complaint of animal neglect. The dog was found to be fine.
-- An officer responded to the area of North Lincoln Avenue and East Third Street at 3:59 p.m. Saturday in reference to a person in pants and a long sleeve flannel shirt staring at the sun. The officer was unable to find the person in question.
-- Officers responded to the 700 block of Summit Street at noon Saturday where two people were talking about a civil matter regarding a vehicle. They were told to seek legal counsel.
-- A West Street Street resident reported at 11:30 a.m. Saturday a tire on her vehicle had been slashed while in a parking lot at Centennial Park Thursday.
-- Officers responded with medical personnel to a Brooklyn Avenue home at 11:03 a.m. Saturday where a resident reported her husband had taken too much of his medication and was acting aggressive. He was found to be okay and was advised to monitor his blood sugar levels.
-- An officer responded to the 1900 block of East State Street at 10:31 a.m. Saturday in reference to a suspicious bag with a brick on it. The officer found it to contain clothes and other items and took it back to the station.
-- Officers responded to the 900 block of Homewood Avenue at 9:51 a.m. Saturday to speak with someone regarding people placing nails in a driveway.
-- Elizabeth A. Anchondo, 22, no address listed, was cited for following too close and possession of marijuana following a traffic stop in the 1000 block of West State Street at 7:28 a.m. Saturday.
-- Officers responded to the 300 block of Rose Avenue at 4:17 a.m. Saturday where a resident said her daughter was irate and she wanted her removed from the property. It was found the resident had been in a verbal argument with her daughter, who is a legal resident of the home. The complainant was told she would have to legally evict her daughter if she wanted her out of the house. Officers returned at 4:53 a.m. for two women having a verbal argument. Officers determined no threats were made and nothing physical took place. Both women were told to stay away from each other. Officers returned at 5:02 a.m. for a domestic dispute and the women told again to stay away from each other. Officers returned at 5:19 a.m. when the daughter requested police assistance in getting out of the home for the night. Due to the ongoing nature of the situation, the daughter was given a courtesy ride to the police station to wait for a ride.
-- Officers responded to the 2500 block of Bentley Drive at 3:41 a.m. Saturday in reference to an upset woman who needed to go to the hospital. Officers stood by until the woman was transported by ambulance.
-- A patrolling officer at 10:26 p.m. Friday observed a man in a dumpster at a 2300 block East State Street business. The man was told he could not be in the dumpster since it was owned by the business and was sent away.
-- Officers responded to the 1200 block of Southeast Boulevard at 10:03 p.m. Friday in reference to suspicious activity, but found everything to be fine.
-- Dominic T. Hall, 20, South Union Avenue, Salem, was arrested on an active warrant out of Columbiana County for underage consumption and disorderly conduct at his home at 6:47 p.m. Friday.
-- A Lexington Avenue resident reported at 3:51 p.m. Friday she had helped someone pay for a vehicle, but found that there is an issue with it. She was told it is a civil matter and to contact an attorney.
-- Officers responded to the 100 block of Legacy Lane at 3:28 p.m. Friday in reference to a theft complaint and were told the woman in question had left the a business heading north on Ellsworth Avenue. Officers were unable to find the woman.
--Officers responded to the 800 block of East Third Street at 7:30 p.m. Thursday for a reported assault. Officers spoke with the victim and witness on scene. Officer contacted the reported subject and asked them to provide a statement. Statements were taken from all involved parties and the case will be sent for review. The alleged assaulter was criminally trespassed from the residence at the homeowner's request, refusing to sign or accept the trespass.
--Officers responded to the area of Hawley and Cleveland at 7:20 p.m. Thursday for an intoxicated man. The caller advised there was a man running in the roadway, screaming and grabbing himself. Officers made contact with the man who advised he was voluntarily intoxicated after using narcotics, and had nowhere to go. Due to persistent disorderly behavior the man Michael Souers, was taken in custody and transported directly to Columbiana County Jail.
--Officers spoke with an individual at the police station at 6:45 p.m. Thursday for a juvenile problem. The individual complained their juvenile son was not listening to them and leaving the residence at all hours. Officers advised them to contact the juvenile court and file unruly charges.
--Officers assisted the Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force in the 100 block of West State Street at 6:30 p.m. Thursday for an alleged sex offense. As part of the investigation officers seized $100 from Mark Hudik II, and located drugs and drugs paraphernalia, placing Hudik in custody for the drug offense.
--Officers responded to the 2200 block of Edgewood Drive at 6:18 p.m. for a barking dog complaint. Officers checked the area and did not hear any barking dogs.
--Officers responded to Poolside Drive at 4:55 p.m. Thursday for reports of a fight. Upon arrival the fight was found to be a verbal dispute between four male juveniles for comments allegedly made. Three of the juveniles had left prior to the arrival of officers and the one still present claimed it was just an argument made over alleged comments to one of the juvenile's sister. Two of the juveniles responded back and advised that they did not make any threats and that they were only there to defend the one juvenile's sister. All were advised to stay away from each other. The life guard advised they wanted all of them banned from the pool for the remainder of the summer.
--Officers assisted the Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force in the 100 block of West State Street at 4:51 p.m. Thursday and cleared without incident.
--Officers received a report of fraud at 3:29 p.m. Thursday in reference to a check being cashed by another business. The caller just needed a report number so the company's bank could process the fraud claim.
--A credit card was turned in to the police station at 1:52 p.m. Thursday, the card was placed into lost and found until the owner can be located.
Perry Township
--An officer responded to a residence on the 1100 block of Prospect Street at 4:33 p.m. Wednesday for reports of harassment. The resident claimed a man keeps calling him making threats, and harassing him. The resident also claimed that he couldn't be sure who the caller was because they used an unknown number, but believed it to be an acquaintance he had prior issues with. Officer advised the resident to change his number and not give it out.
--Officers responded to the area of state Route 14 and U.S. Route 62/state Route 45 at 10:55 p.m. Tuesday for reports of two suspicious people on bikes around businesses in the area. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate the subjects.
--Police spoke by phone with a Devonshire Drive woman at 7:10 p.m. Tuesday in reference to fireworks. Officers informed the woman of the State's new laws, and that the Township follows those laws.
--Officers responded to the 1200 block of Elberon Avenue at 9:55 p.m. Monday for reports of fireworks being fired low and close to a house. Officers checked the area but did not observe any fireworks.
--Officers responded to a residence on the 1100 block of Prospect Street at 8:07 p.m. Monday for a medical call. The resident had been washing dishes in the bathtub when a knife fell and cut her arm. The resident claimed that it was deep and possibly needed stitches. After removing the towel around the injury officers found a minor scratch. Perry Township Fire Department responded and provided bandaids.
--Officers responded to the intersection of Benton and Allen Road at 6:54 p.m. Monday for a tree in the roadway. Upon arrival officers found a large tree blocking the roadway. Perry Township Fire Department responded and removed the tree.
--Officers responded to residence on the 400 block of Maryland Avenue at 11:14 a.m. Monday for a domestic dispute. Officers spoke with both parties. The caller complained that the woman was tearing the house apart attempting to move out. Both parties were arguing about the property. Officers found no signs of violence or threats. Officers advised both parties to be civil with each other until the woman can move her belongings from the residence.
--Officers responded to the 1200 block of East 11th Street at 8:51 a.m. Monday to assist the Salem Police department with a stolen vehicle. Officers discovered the vehicle was not stolen, and provided the caller with a courtesy ride to their vehicle.
East Liverpool
-- Officers responded to the 400 block of Maplewood Street at 7:02 p.m. Wednesday in reference to an unresponsive man. Officers found the man lying in bed, alert but not very responsive. Medical personnel arrived and transported the man to the East Liverpool hospital for treatment.
-- A Market Street resident reported at 4:45 p.m. Wednesday a neighbor had been threatening and swearing at her grandchildren while she was not present. She said the grandchildren were visiting for the week and the neighbors are constantly making false accusations about her to the apartment complex manager. An officer responded to the neighbor's apartment and spoke with the woman in question who admitted to speaking with one of the grandchildren after they were running up and down the hall, shaking the lights while she was trying to rest a headache. However, she denied making any threats or using vulgar language. She was told to only speak with adults if she has a complaint or to contact the department.
-- A Vernia Street resident at 12:24 p.m. Wednesday requested extra patrols of his property due to his son using drugs and taking items from his house.
-- An officer responded to the 1000 block of Vine Street at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday where a woman reported a man was yelling at her while she was moving belongings out of his residence. The officer spoke with the man who said it was fine for her to get her belongings that day. The officer stood by until no longer needed.
St. Clair Township
-- Officers took a report of a possible road rage/domestic incident near Annesley Road at 12:38 a.m. July 6.
-- An Old Fredericktown Road resident reported at 6:52 p.m. July 5 her sister-in-law came to her home, rang the doorbell and punched the Ring doorbell before squealing tires down the driveway, throwing debris and leaving tire marks. The resident said her sister-in-law also made an obscene gesture into the Ring doorbell.
-- Grant M. Blazer, 26, no address listed, was charged with OVI following a traffic stop on St. Clair Avenue at 1:56 a.m. July 3.
Sheriff's Office
- While on routine patrol a deputy observed two people on the property of an 8900 block state Route 45, Center Township, business at 12:39 a.m. Friday. They were checking in the dumpster for scrap and were told they were trespassing and to not be on the property while the business was closed.
- Deputies responded to the 46000 block of Walnut Street, Rogers, at 6:01 a.m. July 2 in reference to a fight and found one of the people involved had already left. The other person involved said it was only an argument and everything was fine. The caller said he no longer wanted the other person at the residence.
- Deputies responded to a 42000 block state Route 154, Lisbon, business at 1:50 a.m. July 3 where an employee reported someone had attempted to open the door of the office from inside the restaurant. Deputies checked the interior and exterior of the business and found no one in the building. The doors were also found to be secure.
- A Metz Road, Unity Township, resident reported at 6:54 a.m. July 1 her boyfriend had left the previous morning around 9 a.m. to work on his property near Canfield and she had not heard from him since. The boyfriend was found to be in the Columbiana County Jail.
- Deputies responded to the 48000 block of state Route 154, Middleton Township, at 12:07 a.m. July 2 in reference to a suspicious person loitering outside a closed business. The woman in question said she had been kicked out of the place where she was staying and did not want to walk along the road since it was dark. She was given a courtesy ride to a friend's home just down the road near Rogers.
- A Kelly Park Road, Fairfield Township, resident reported at 5:25 p.m. July 1 a construction company out of Carrollton did not finish the work for which they were paid. She was advised to contact an attorney.
- A deputy responded to the 10000 block of Steubenville Pike Road, Center Township, at 3:33 p.m. June 30 in reference to a truck that took down some powerlines.
- A Bye Road, Unity Township, resident reported a burglary at his home at 10:18 p.m. June 29.
- A Canal Street, West Township, resident reported at 7:15 p.m. June 29 neighbors are riding an ATV and throwing rocks at the home while yelling at her and her boyfriend.
- A Georgetown Road, Knox Township, resident reported at 6:33 p.m. June 29 his neighbor is digging on his property in the Middle Branch Sandy Creek. He was advised to post "No Trespassing" signs and contact the Ohio Department of Natural Resources.
- Randy E. McCall, Kelly Park Road, Fairfield Township, was arrested on an active warrant out of Columbiana County Municipal Court after a deputy responded to his home to serve a protection order out of Columbiana County Common Pleas Court at 9:07 p.m. June 28.
- A deputy responded to a 3000 block Slater Road, Butler Township, home at 3:11 p.m. June 28 in reference to a domestic dispute between spouses. Both individuals signed a refusal.
- A deputy responded to a 1000 block Township Line Road, Yellow Creek Township, home at 9:44 p.m. June 27 where the resident reported his ex-girlfriend was on his property and he did not want her there. While en route, the deputy was advised the resident called back to say his ex-girlfriend had left and he no longer wished to speak with the deputy.
- Deputies responded to a 44000 block Metz Road, Fairfield Township, home at 4:49 p.m. June 27 in reference to a domestic dispute between a mother and daughter. Both individuals signed a refusal.
East Palestine
-- The Highway Patrol reported a possible reckless driver coming from state Route 170 into East Palestine at 5:33 p.m. Friday. An officer found the vehicle as it entered village limits and initiated a traffic stop, but the driver was found not to be impaired.
-- Officers responded to the 100 block of West Martin Street at 5:17 p.m. Friday in reference to a man threatening to break windows out of a vehicle, but found the complaint to be unfounded.
-- Police responded to the police department at 11:40 p.m. Thursday to speak with a man regarding a possible protection order violation.
