Leetonia
-- Officers received a report on station regarding harassment Monday. Upon investigating the allegations the officer was made aware the person reporting the harassment had carried a relationship with a minor. Officers read the reporter his Miranda Warning and advised him there was an investigation.
-- Officers responded with a liquor control agent to Leetonia Market at 433 Columbia Street Friday about sales made to several students of Leetonia Schools. Students were purchasing vapes and tobacco products.
-- An officer advised five teenage boys to stop playing on playground equipment intended for children Friday afternoon.
-- A reckless driver was reported passing a school bus and traveling over the speed limit on State Route 344 Wednesday afternoon.
-- An officer conducted a welfare check on a Walnut Street resident Thursday morning.
-- Officers ordered a Dodge Stratus to be towed from Somer Street Friday after the vehicle was left for 72 hours in one spot along the street. Steve's Towing has the car and it can be released upon payment.
-- Officers took Gavin Linden into custody Monday after officers assisted Columbiana County Sheriffs Department finding Linden after he was allegedly threatening suicide. After being located by the Sheriffs Department Linden became combative with the Sergeant and was placed in the back of the cruiser.
-- Officers were dispatched for an alarm at the Haltech warehouse Sunday.
Goshen Police District
-- Noah Alexander Vanpelt, 20, South 14th Street, Sebring, was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia following a traffic stop West South Range Road near Stratton Road at 6:47 p.m. Saturday.
-- William M. Hegarty, 50, Poland, was cited for wanton disregard for public safety or property on private property after an officer responded to the West Branch High School at 6:50 p.m. Friday after his vehicle became stuck in the softball field.
-- John H. Ray, 62, Boardman, was cited for rules for starting and backing following a two-vehicle crash on Washingtonville Road near Garfield Road at 4:25 p.m. Friday in which he was southbound and came to stop, then proceeded to back up into a vehicle driven by Darla L. McConaha, 62, Salem. No injuries were reported.
-- Luis Jomar Pagan Ventura, 19, Youngstown, was cited for no driver's license and speed following a traffic stop on West South Range Road near Lisbon Road at 2:13 a.m. Friday.
-- Chassidy D. Smith, 38, Alliance, was cited for driving under suspension following a traffic stop on U.S. Route 62 in Damascus at 1:20 a.m. Friday.
-- A 17-year-old Youngstown Salem Road, Canfield, resident was cited for failure to control following a one-vehicle crash in the 9000 block of Columbiana Canfield Road at 8:28 p.m. April 7 in which he was northbound and allegedly swerved to miss a deer and traveled into the ditch, coming to rest in a field. He was treated on scene by the Green Township EMS.
-- Neil Alan Toalston, 27, Alliance, was arrested on active warrants out of Austintown after responded to a Fifth Street, Beloit, home at 5:30 p.m. April 6 where he was found.
--Craig J. Bryant, 53, Home Circle, Salem, was cited for expired registration, open container and fictitious plates following a traffic stop on Youngstown Salem Road at 4:49 p.m. April 4.
--Alin Anjum, 22, Youngstown, was cited for no driver's license and speed following a traffic stop on Youngstown Salem Road at t7:54 p.m. April 2.
-- Dominique Marie McKenney, 28, Main Street, Beloit, was cited for a confinement or restraint of dog violation after an officer responded to a Main Street, Beloit, business at 11:36 a.m. April 2 in reference to a loose dog that jumped against a vehicle, causing damage to the vehicle.
Salem
-- At 9:38 p.m. Monday, Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force agents charged Michael Ray Greathouse Jr., 32, Akron, with attempted sexual conduct with a minor, compelling prostitution and possession of criminal tools when he arrived at a designated meeting place in Salem after responding to an ad for sexual conduct with a 15-year-old female. He was taken into custody by the agents and taken to the Columbiana County jail.
-- A burglary was reported at 8:23 p.m. Monday in the 500 block of East Third Street where a man, who was not home at the time, reported an unwanted male entered his home when his girlfriend was there and demanded his stereo back while holding a baseball bat. He left after obtaining the stereo and threatened to come back later when the man was there. The girlfriend was unsure if she wanted to press charges, but asked for an extra watch of the property.
-- Officers at 7:21 p.m. Monday responded to the 100 block of Brooklyn Avenue for a dispute. A man said a recently evicted person was threatening to kick the door in. He left before police arrived, but called the man and threatened him while an officer was still there. The officer spoke to the person, who was intoxicated and being driven by his grandmother and would not return to the scene. He was told to leave the man alone and not return. The man blocked him from all forms of communication. The man had called police earlier at 3:07 p.m. about finding something that looked like drug paraphernalia, explaining that his evicted roommate still had some belongings there and the item found looked like residue from a crushed up pill and he threw it away. He said the roommate was coming for the rest of his stuff and he expected trouble.
-- Police responded to a private property accident at 7:19 p.m. Monday in the Walmart parking lot on East State Street where a vehicle improperly backed up and struck another vehicle. No citations were issued. A female passenger in the vehicle that was struck was taken to the hospital by KLG for a head injury.
-- A woman at 6:34 p.m. Monday spoke with police about a man who had not been seen for two weeks. Officers checked his address in the 300 block of South Union Avenue, finding it secure with the vehicle behind the residence. The complaint is under investigation.
-- Police were called at 5:50 p.m. Monday to the 400 block of South Union Avenue to speak with a person. Officers spoke to all parties and collected information.
-- A caller at 3:18 p.m. Monday in the 2300 block of East State Street reported a business appeared to be open with the lights on but the door was locked and nobody was observed inside. An officer was advised by a person outside the business that he just spoke with an employee who said the employee scheduled to work was unable to be there. Another employee was coming at 4 p.m.
