-- Deputies wen to a Scott Drive, Knox Township, home at 4:53 p.m. Tuesday to check on a woman and her four children.
-- Louisville Police Department requested someone check on a person at a state Route 172, West Township, address at 10:35 p.m. Tuesday. No one was located at the home in the 22000 block of state Route 172.
Salem
-- An East State Street resident reported a problem with identity theft at 12:40 p.m. Friday.
-- A patrolling officer observed a large amount of smoke in the 400 block of South Broadway Avenue at 3 a.m. Friday. The fire was found to be in an unattended barrel in a fenced in patio at the rear of business. Since the business was closed, the fire department responded to extinguish the fire.
-- Officers responded to the 500 block of South Broadway Avenue at 1:31 a.m. Friday in reference to a fight involving knives. Officers spoke with several patrons who said there had been a verbal dispute between two men, with one of them pulling a knife to defend himself. The man without the knife had already left. Both men are not to return to the business.
-- Officers responded to the 2200 block of Southeast Boulevard at 12:30 a.m. Friday in reference to an underage drinking party. Officers spoke with the juveniles who denied drinking or having a party and said they were all sleeping. The juveniles' mother was contacted by phone and advised of the complaint.
-- An officer responded with the fire department to the 2800 block of East State Street at 6:36 p.m. Thursday in reference to a white van leaking gas or oil. The vehicle was gone before the fire department arrived. The fire department applied oil dry in the area.
-- An officer responded to the 300 block of East State Street at 6:31 p.m. Thursday in reference to an orange object on the ground that appeared to be a syringe. The officer was unable to find the object.
-- Officers responded to the 900 block of West Wilson Street at 6:11 p.m. Thursday in reference to an unruly juvenile. The complainant was advised how to file charges through the court.
-- Officers responded to the 300 block of Woodland Avenue at 3:59 p.m. Thursday in reference to someone knocking on a window. No one was found in the area.
-- A Highland Avenue resident reported being the victim of identity theft at 2:07 p.m. Thursday.
-- A West Perry Street resident reported at 1:29 p.m. Thursday a possible fraud. The resident was told it was a civil matter.
-- A Franklin Avenue resident reported at 11:09 a.m. Thursday his ex-fiancee had been sending him posts on social media regarding allegations against her daughter. The resident denied any wrongdoing and wanted to know to get a protection order.
-- An officer responded to the 500 block of East State Street at 10:42 a.m. Thursday someone was observed on video taking a bicycle. The owner of the bicycle did not want to press charges if the it was returned. The person who took it returned it and was told not to return to the area.
-- Officers responded to the 600 block of East Sixth Street at 9 a.m. Thursday in reference to a domestic disturbance and found a woman having a medical issue. She was transported to St. Elizabeth Hospital for further evaluation.
Perry Township
-- A caller from the 400 block of Benton Road at 3:21 p.m. Wednesday said his landlord sent him a text saying he was locking the garage and residence on Thursday. He said he never received any eviction notice and wanted permission to gain entry. He was told it's a civil matter and to contact an attorney.
-- Police responded at 2:07 p.m. Wednesday to the 1100 block of West Perry Street for a report of a male juvenile with an active warrant for being unruly. Police found the 17-year-old boy on the front porch of the residence, took him into custody and transported him to the Tobin detention center.
-- Jeremy Summers, 47, Salem, was cited for failure to yield after his eastbound vehicle on Georgetown Road failed to yield at the intersection and struck a southbound vehicle driven by Gloria Weekley, 61, Lisbon, on the state Route 45 bypass at 12:16 p.m. Wednesday. Both Weekley and her passenger were taken to Salem Regional Medical Center by EMT and Summers was taken to SRMC by KLG. Both vehicles were towed. Perry Township firefighters were on scene.
-- An unruly juvenile was reported at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the 1100 block of West Perry Street where a woman said her 17-year-old son had not been home since the day before. She had been in contact with him by phone, but she thought his cell phone died. She had been in contact with his probation officer also. A missing child report was filed.
