County Sheriff
— Deputies were called to a home on Pancake-Clarkson Road in Negley at 3:32 p.m. Saturday for a request that a person be removed. Robbie D. Angus told deputies that Jeffrey Knoblock came to his house to retrieve his mother’s items and he told Knoblock he would not return the items, at which point Knoblock became upset and broke a handrail and smashed a window out of his trailer and then kicked in the front storm door causing the window to shatter. Angus said Knoblock then went into the woods to look for the dog and then left.
— Brett Kale, state Route 517, Elkrun Township, reported at 12:12 p.m. Saturday his neighbor, who is his wife’s sister, cut three feet of his grass. Kale reported that he has surveyed his property numerous times and also put up a privacy fence along the border of the property. He said the fence is three feet from the stakes and that is the area where the grass has been cut. He also said that he understands it is “just grass” but that he has been told by the neighbor and her husband to stay off their property so he felt it only fair they stay off his. He also reported seeing his neighbor spread poison on his garden, which is now dead.
Highway Patrol
— Mary K. Kuntzman, 60, Boardman, was northbound on 12th Street in Knox Township at 7:05 p.m. Thursday and stopped and then backed into Donald J. Zorich, 69, Alliance. Kuntzman was cited for improper backing.
— Nicholas Dewayne Hill, 40, West Monroe, La., was westbound on Georgetown Road in Knox Township at 10:40 a.m. Tuesday and struck a railroad bride with the top of his trailer. He was cited for assured clear distance.
— Franklin K. Spencer, 53, Rochester Road, Homeworth, was northeastbound on Georgetown Road in Knox Township at 10:15 a.m. Saturday and was struck by Kathryn L. Stafford, 74, U.S. 30, Minerva, who failed to yield from a stop sign. Stafford was cited for failure to yield.
— Joseph M. Nemeth, 59, New Middletown, was southbound on Hunston Road in Unity Township at 4:08 p.m. July 14 and went off the west side and overturned. He was taken to the St. Elizabeth Hospital with serious injuries.
— Ronald A. Eichler, 40, Richardson Avenue, Negley, was northbound on state Route 170 in Middleton Township at 9:15 p.m. Friday and went off the right side into a guardrail. He was cited for failure to control and OVI.
— Paul J. Lonsway, 54, Canfield, was stopped at the Kelly Park Road stop sign southbound on state Route 164 in Fairfield Township at 4:12 p.m. Friday and failed to yield and struck Lori A. Knight, 53, Bull Creek Road, New Waterford. Lonsway was cited for failure to yield from stop sign.
— Kyle Matthew Smith, 59, Palm City, Fla., was southbound on Eagleton Road in Salem Township at 1:05 p.m. Friday and failed to yield from a stop sign and struck Marcus Earl Bailey, 24, St. Jacob’s Logtown Road, Lisbon. Smith was cited for failure to yield.
— Ty Johnathan Graham, 23, Main Street, Columbiana, entered state Route 14 from a private drive in Green Township, Mahoning County at 5 p.m. July 16 and failed to yield and was struck by Julie M. Black, 67, Fairview Court, Salem, who was westbound on state Route 14. Graham was cited for right of way.
— Jennifer Lynn Newberry, 34, Enon Valley, Pa., was eastbound on Heck Road in Unity Township at 11:59 p.m. July 12 and went off the left side into a tree. She was cited for failure to control.
East Liverpool
— Police received an alarm drop at 1:41 a.m. Tuesday from Andy’s Tires and Auto Service on Walnut Street. Officers checked the area, which appeared to be secure.
— Police were called at 3:35 p.m. Tuesday to Lincoln Avenue for a fight behind Busy B Muffler. Officers found Carey Barnes and Brian Miller exchanging words. Both parties explained the situation, and then were separated and sent on their way.
— Police were called at 8:49 p.m. Tuesday to the 900 block of Ohio Avenue for a report of two people inside a black-colored vehicle who hadn’t gotten out of the vehicle for about an hour. As the officer arrived, dispatch advised police that the car had left. An officer attempted to search the vehicle to no avail.
— Woodbine Avenue resident Royal Nelson reported at 10:03 p.m. Tuesday that his mailbox was damaged.
— Police were called at 6:31 p.m. Tuesday to Fulmer Park on Moore Street regarding an unsupervised child. An officer spoke to the child and drove him around the corner to his home. The officer spoke with the boy’s mother.
— Police were called at 7:20 p.m. Tuesday to East Liverpool City Hospital on West Fifth Street regarding a disturbance. Upon arrival, officers spoke with hospital security staff who stated that the unknown woman became irate and refused to leave after being asked multiple times to do so. The woman left before officers arrived.
— A Trentvale Street resident reported at 7:02 p.m. Tuesday a neighbor threatened to kill her cat. The woman said that her cat got out of the house accidentally and went over on top of the neighbor’s rabbit cage and was trying to get his rabbits.
— Vivian Toler reported at 7:32 p.m. Tuesday that she went to retrieve some property at an Almont Street home and upon leaving, Brian Miller pushed her to the ground from behind, causing her phone to fall from her and crack the screen.
— Wilbert Avenue resident Jodie Wright reported at 4:20 p.m. Wednesday that her daughter was riding her bicycle in the 500 block of Woodland Hills when Linda Vandyke yelled at the girl and told her that she was going to yank her off the bike if she didn’t get out of the road.
— Police were called at 8:12 p.m. Wednesday to a Michigan Avenue home regarding possible drug activity. An officer spoke to the caller, who pointed out the location. Officers watched the house for awhile, but did not observe any activity at that time. Officers will continue to monitor the home and relay information to the Drug Task Force.
— Johnny Allen Speece, 36, Ephraim Street, was traveling south on St. Clair Avenue around 5:48 p.m. when he lost the brakes coming down the road. He then turned onto Avondale Street and continued onto Laurel Lane when it overturned and struck a tree. Speece and his passenger, Shane D. Brandle, 23, Eutaw Avenue, suffered minor injuries in the accident. Brandle was taken by ambulance to East Liverpool City Hospital, while Speece was treated at the scene. Both were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash, and no drugs or alcohol were suspected. Speece was cited for failure to control.
Liverpool Township
— Dalton Wilson, Sixth Avenue, reported the theft of a 65-inch Roku TV, still in the box.
