County Sheriff
– James Cooper, Schneider Road, Hanoverton, reported at 4:50 p.m. Thursday Kathryn Davis took some items to the scrap yard even though he had a protection order preventing her from doing so. However, after reviewing the protection order it appears Davis has the order preventing only Cooper from removing items.
– An Alliance man reported at 7:15 p.m. Thursday he believes he is being sexually harassed by someone with Alliance Staffing. The man said he has been repeatedly called back for urine tests despite always testing clean and on Thursday the woman performing the test reported had him drop his pants to his ankles, then began rubbing his legs and around his genital area. He said he felt violated, but did not want to report the incident to the company for fear he would be let go.
– Steve Yanni, Richardson Avenue, Negley, reported at 4:54 p.m. Thursday he was receiving threats from a man he knows.
– Kathy Talamantes, Walnut Ridge, Salineville, reported at 7:53 p.m. April 23 her boyfriend, George Surmaceviz grabbed her by her right arm at Salem hospital on April 21 and left a big bruise. He was reportedly angry because he did not like where she was going to park. Deputies encouraged her to file a report with the Salem police.
– Tyler Smith, state Route 45, Lisbon, reported at 9 p.m. Thursday a child with short, blond hair walked over to his home from the Frola. He thought the child’s actions where strange.The boy told him he would buy his truck for $2,000.
– A possible burglary in progress was reported at a Dutchtown School Road, Rogers, home at 8:43 p.m. Thursday. Patrick Palmer and his young daughter Chloe told deputies she had been in her bedroom when she heard banging in the garage, which is right on the other side of the wall. She called deputies and grabbed a bat for protection. She then heard a car pull out. Palmer reported his welding torches and tanks were taken and there were welding rods laying all over the ground. Deputies went to the home of David Bradley, state Routed 154, Rogers, and while there Bradley and Stephen Westover, pulled up the driveway. Deputies asked to see in the trunk of Bradley’s vehicle and found a red Lincoln arch welder and a blue bucket of welding sticks. Deputies contacted Palmer and confirmed the items belonged to him. Westover reportedly said he had purposely stolen the welder from Palmer and he did not feel bad about it because Palmer did not pay him for work he did for him. Bradley was charged with receiving stolen property and Westover was charged with burglary.
Highway Patrol
-Gregory J. Jones, 16, State Line Road, Negley, was cited for failure to yield the right of way after he pulled into the path of an Elantra driven by Gerald J. Ruess Jr., 48, of Elizabeth, Pa., resulting in an accident at intersection Waterford Road and state Route 164 in Unity Township at 5:15 p.m. Sunday.
East Palestine
-Steve L. Carpenter, East Grant Street, reported Monday some items are missing from his home and he believes he knows who is responsible. An investigation is pending.
-A resident of 120 Ashley Lane reported Wednesday receiving a package he did not order from Bed, Bath & Beyond and later received another package from Walmart, and both contained Keurig coffee makers. The invoices indicated there were purchased from a New Jersey woman.
-Tammy Nemes, East Main Street, reported at 4:15 a.m. Tuesday someone was walking on her property and there was a white car there too. Police checked the area but did not find anyone or the vehicle about.
-An officer helped return a dog to its owner after receiving an animal complaint on West Martin Street at 5:46 p.m. Tuesday.
-Marcy Knopff reported there were two boys near the small bridge between Main Street and Bacon Avenue on Brookdale Avenue and they appeared to be smoking something.
-Richard Sansenbaugher, North Market Street, reported Thursday receiving three calls from someone claiming to be from the IRS but he ignored them and did not provide any personal information.
Columbiana
– Danielle Hiner, Spruce Street, reported Thursday someone filed an income tax return using her personal information.
-A minor traffic accident occurred at the Y on North Main Street at 11:44 a.m. Thursday, but no other details were available yet.
-A high school official asked police at 11:20 a.m. to be on the lookout for a student who had left school. The juvenile is from Youngstown but is in the custody of the county Children Services agency. The youth, who would not be found, returned to the school by 2 p.m.
– A minor traffic accident occurred in the Presbyterian Church parking lot and was called in at 2:53 p.m. Thursday by Cecilia Wilson of New Springfield, but no other details were available yet.
– Richard Schwartz, 1145 E. Park Ave., reported there was a burglary in progress at his residence at 11:48 p.m. Thursday. Police arrived and learned Danielle Walter had entered the home to gather her personal belongings. Schwartz declined to press charges.
Salem
– At 10:57 a.m. Friday, a complainant from the 400 block of East Euclid Street was on station in reference to a possible scam. A man advised he was selling a door on Craig’s list and was to send the money to an unknown person in another state. The complainant wanted a report so the incident could be investigated by the service that provided the money.
– At 3:29 p.m. Thursday, Keith A. Schenly, 21 Camelot, Columbiana, was charged with theft after allegedly shoplifting $270 in merchandise from a business in the 2800 block of East State Street He was transported to the county jail.
– At 11:18 a.m. Friday, a complainant was on station advising that on April 11 he received two checks from a woman and cashed them for her. On April 14, he went to his bank which said they had already been cashed through their phone. He was provided with a bad-check packet.
– At 6:53 a.m. Friday, police responded to the 600 block of North Lincoln Avenue for a domestic in progress and heard yelling. It was verbal only. The man was upset because he was woken up early and his girlfriend tried to take the baby out in the cold. The woman advised she was gathering belonging for the baby and leaving the residence.
– At 11:36 p.m. Thursday, a complainant was on station advising she was pushed at work by another employee and the business took care of it, but she wanted a police report on file.
– While on patrol in the 200 block of Highland Avenue at 11:13 p.m Thursday, police observed a dog appeared to have broken away from a chain. The owner took it inside.
– At 9:10 p.m. Thursday, police responded to the South Ellsworth Avenue and Railroad Street area regarding a man and woman engaged in sexual intercourse in the parking lot. They were located and the man was severely intoxicated and an officer gave them a voluntary transport to a residence on Summit St.
– At 8:38 p.m. Thursday, police responded to the 900 block of North Ellsworth Avenue where a woman said she had been harassed at work by a known person and was advised of the options.
– Police responded to the 2900 block of East State Street at 7:02 p.m. Thursday for a person to be removed and the man left without incident.
– Police responded to the 1200 block of North Ellsworth Avenue where the complainant advised they received a check from an unknown source and an officer advised it was a scam.
– Police responded to the 300 block of North Ellsworth Avenue where the complainant advised and unauthorized purchase was on an account. They were advised of the options.
– At 5:37 p.m. Thursday, a complainant was on station in reference to his daughter being stalked at her place of work and was advised of the options.

Highway Patrol
-Jeremy H. Johnson, 29, Salem-Alliance Road, Salem, was cited for OVI, failure to control, driving under suspension, driving with fictitious license plates and not wearing a seatbelt after he wrecked into a utility pole while driving on Hartley Road in Butler Township at 10:24 p.m. Monday. Johnson smelled of alcohol, and an open case of beer was found in his vehicle. He also admitted drinking 5 to 6 beers. He was taken by ambulance to a local hospital.
-Amanda K. Zepernick, 18, Buffalo Road, Kensington, was cited for failure to control after she struck a tree while driving on state Route 9 in Hanover Township at 4:45 a.m. Monday. Zepernick, who said she fell asleep at the wheel, had to be cut from her vehicle and was flown by helicopter to an area hospital.
Columbiana
– An officer was flagged down about a possible drunk driver on state Route 14 at 7:48 p.m. Wednesday, but the officer did not locate the vehicle.
– A person who lives on Camelot Apartments reported hearing pounding coming from another apartment as if someone was being thrown around at 10:10 p.m. Wednesday.
– A man who lives at 1263 Fairfield Ave. reported a motorist was driving past his home at 11:25 p.m. Wednesday and his daughter has been having problems with the person, who was yelling as they passed by.
– Laura Martin of Alliance reported her daughter wanted her to pick her up at the Rite Aid but she was being threatened by her husband. The husband left prior to police arriving, and no threats or violence occurred.
– Police were called to a minor traffic crash on South Avenue at 4 p.m. Wednesday but neither party wanted a police report.
– A caller reported there were three juveniles climbing the fire escape to the roof of the Lutheran Church at 6:47 p.m. Wednesday. Police told the youths they were not to be on the property.
– A CARTS driver asked police to check on the welfare of a resident at 2303 Timberline Drive at noon Wednesday. The dispatcher reached the man’s daughter, who said everything was fine.
– The EMS responded to the following calls for assistance on Wednesday: 42006 Balmoral Drive at 7 a.m. and 337 W. Salem St. at 11:18 a.m.
St. Clair Township
– Police were notified by callers Monday afternoon of a vehicle all over the road, nearly striking other vehicles on state Route 170. The vehicle pulled into the Dunham’s Plaza parking lot, where an off-duty East Liverpool police officer was attempting to keep the woman driver from driving off when township officers arrived. The driver, Sherrill L. Liebschner, 49, Moore Street, East Liverpool, was obviously under the influence and was having a hard time making sense, according to officers’ reports. At the police department, she reportedly told officers she was on medication for depression and had not been drinking but smelled of alcohol and kept losing her balance during sobriety tests. A breathalyzer resulted in a reading of .231, according to reports. She was charged with OVI and given a ride home.
– Tina Miller, Carroll Road, called to have her daughter, Kayla Burkle, removed from her home Sunday night. Officers reported that Miller said she was not allowing Burkle to take her 2-month-old daughter home because Burkle was drunk. Burkle told officers she had gone out and had some drinks for the first time after having her baby 10 weeks before. Officers reported both women were highly intoxicated and the grandfather had also been drinking, although not as intoxicated as the women. Miller reportedly told an officer he was taking her daughter home and the child was not leaving, but she was advised that St. Clair Township Police Department is not a taxi service and that the child wasn’t staying with any of them. The baby’s father was called and came to retrieve the baby, also taking Burkle, although he was cautioned not to leave the baby with her. A report was to be forwarded to Children’s Services.
– Called for a possible domestic dispute Sunday to a Calcutta-Smith Ferry Road home, officers spoke to the mother of Phillip M. Roberts, 25, who said he had been begging money from her all day and she had none to give him. Asked if she had a protection order against him, the woman said she could not do that to her son. Roberts had an active warrant and was taken into custody.
– Dixie D. Morris, Calcutta-Smith Ferry Road, reported Monday a pane of glass in her sliding glass door was shattered, and officers said it appeared to have been caused by a rock thrown by a passing vehicle.
– Walmart employees reported a woman selected six baby bottles and placed them in her purse then left the store without paying. Stopped in the vestibule, the woman punched an employee in the chest and ran to a black pickup truck that traveled north on state Route 11.
– Cassie R. Nalley, no address listed, reported being harassed and called names by two women she knows while she was reporting for work at Walmart. She felt threatened so left and went home.
– Clinton J. Beaver, Lyle Street, reported a breaking and entering at his home. An investigation is underway, with no further details reported.
– Linda K. Wooley, Annesley Road, reported someone stole her grandson’s xBox 360, four games and a controller valued at $320.
Salem
– An intoxicated driver was reported at 11:25 a.m. Thursday in the 1000 block of North Ellsworth Avenue. An officer found the male operator was getting a left rear flat tire which was not helping his operation of the vehicle. A female passenger opened her door to see what the problem was and the tire was going flat. He was trying to get somewhere to put air in the tire. He was told to get there quickly and stay on his side of the road because people were calling and complaining. He was seen later putting air in the tire at a local station.
– A reckless operator was reported at 8:17 a.m. Thursday on North Lincoln Avenue and East Sixth Street. Police were unable to locate the vehicle at first, then dispatch advised it was at a local business. An officer spoke with the male driver of the truck and told him about the complaint.
– A man in the 600 block of East Third Street reported at 7:31 a.m. Thursday that an unknown female walked into his home and will not leave. Officers made contact with a female on the porch and were familiar with her and aware that she suffers from a mental illness. She was taken to her residence and escorted safely inside to her husband.
– Officers were dispatched at 2:39 a.m. Thursday to the 500 block of Continental Drive for a well-being check on a female. Officers made contact with the female who said she possibly needed medical attention due to falling down earlier. Swelling was observed around her eye/head area. Fire department first responders and an ambulance arrived and she was taken to Salem Regional Medical Center.
– Darrin Dustman, of the 100 block of Rose Avenue, reported at 1:31 a.m. Thursday that sometime between 3 p.m. Wednesday and the time of the report, his mountain bike was stolen from the car port at the apartment building.
– A man in the 1400 block of East State Street called at 10:47 p.m. Wednesday wanting a female removed from his home. The female was walked to her house nearby.
– Two suspicious males were reported at 8:45 p.m. Wednesday near the front entry of a closed business in the 500 block of East Second Street. Officers identified two juveniles as local residents of the neighborhood. The boys were just playing in the area and officers observed no problems. They said they would head home soon.
– A barking dog was reported at 8:29 p.m. Wednesday in the 400 block of West Fifth Street. An area resident said it was a dog at large that seemed friendly but would not allow anyone to catch it. Residents had made several attempts to catch the dog. Officers did not find the dog, which was described as medium small, black in color, with a red and white collar.
– Police responded at 8:16 p.m. Wednesday to the 200 block of West Fourth Street for one to be removed. A woman wanted a female removed from her home. The female obtained a ride and left.
– A woman at the police station at 8:09 p.m. Wednesday spoke with an officer about a theft in the 500 block of East Fourth Street, saying one of her patients had some medication stolen.
– A Leetonia woman reported at 7:53 p.m. Wednesday she was at Wal-mart when her daughter set her phone down and forgot about it. When she returned to the store, it was gone.
– A dispute between a male and female was reported at 7:02 p.m. Wednesday in the 300 block of East Seventh Street. All he wanted was his car keys back. An officer successfully obtained the keys for him.
– A caller at 6:21 p.m. Wednesday reported a white box truck hit a telephone pole in the 700 block of Prospect Street, fleeing westbound.
– Police responded to a report of dogs left in a small trailer in the 200 block of North Cunningham at 5:28 p.m. Wednesday. An officer made contact with one of the owners and she said the trailer is for the dogs and the dogs are being cared for. The family is enroute to Indiana and will be leaving in the morning. The dogs had food and water and the owner said they are walked several times a day.
– A domestic dispute was reported at 4:11 p.m. Wednesday in the 1200 block of Cedar Ridge Drive where a woman said she and her boyfriend got into a verbal altercation. He had already left and she was told her options. No injuries were observed.
– An officer at 3:20 p.m. Wednesday saw two vehicles park in the front yard of a residence in the 500 block of East Sixth Street and advised the drivers of the parking ordinance. It was found that the drivers did not have licenses. Demetrio Hernandez and Francisco Hernandez were each cited for no license. A valid driver moved the vehicles to legal parking spots.
– A woman came to the station at 11:16 a.m. Wednesday to report a domestic that occurred just prior to the complaint, in the 100 block of South Howard Avenue. She said her ex knocked her off her bicycle and an altercation occurred. She wanted the incident documented.
– Officers at 10:08 a.m. Wednesday were advised a person may be living in the wooded area near Kelley Park on Prospect Street. Officers checked the area, but nobody was found.
– Police responded at 9:42 a.m. Wednesday to the 800 block of Prospect Street for a well-being check. A woman said she was concerned her adult son may want to hurt himself. Officers spoke to the son who said he was fine. He said his mother suffers from mental illness which her daughter also stated.
Perry Township
– Janice Hamm, 33, of Austintown, was cited for failure to control after an accident at 7:32 p.m. Wednesday in the 1800 block of New Garden Road. The report said Hamm lost control of the vehicle which went into a ditch and knocked over a mailbox.
– Daoud Abdul Abbadi, 19, of East 11th Street, was cited for failure to yield after the westbound vehicle he was driving attempted to turn south onto North Lincoln Avenue from 11th Street at 4:07 p.m. Wednesday and struck a vehicle driven by Charles Adams, 75, of Barclay Street, who was southbound on North Lincoln Avenue and turned east onto East 11th Street.
– Police were called at 12:04 p.m. Wednesday to Allen Road just off of Beechwood Avenue in reference to people dumping trash along the road. The caller had retrieved the owner’s information from the trash. Police spoke to a relative about the dumping problem and the relative will make contact with the nephew and advise him of the legal actions that could be taken against him. Salem Police also took a report for the trash on the city side of the road.
Goshen Police Ddistrict
– Travis R. Culler, 28, 1425 E. State St., has been charged with theft, a fifth-degree felony. Culler’s grandmother reported Monday he had taken his grandfather’s credit card from the grandfather’s home on U.S. Route 62 outside Salem. She said Culler went to his grandfather’s home in an attempt to get money last week, but took the card instead when his grandfather said no. She also said Culler’s grandfather has dementia. Upon turning himself in, Culler presented the credit card and admitted taking it and using it for purchases a various locations in Salem, police said. He said he had been kicked out of his home and took the card in order to pay for food and lodging. He said he also bought a TV and gaming system in order to sell them for money.
Salem
– Firefighters were called at 6:28 p.m. Wednesday to the 800 block of Prospect Street for a report of a vehicle hitting a utility pole with live wires on the ground. The vehicle apparently left the scene. Upon arrival, no wires were on the ground but the pole was sheared off. City police requested Ohio Edison to respond.

County Sheriff
– Julia Sheffield, state Route 154, Lisbon, reported at 3:39 p.m. Monday someone stole her pigmy goat. She heard a suspicious vehicle the night before, but did not notice the goat missing until the next day.
– At the request of the highway patrol, deputies met with Columbiana police at 4:52 a.m. Saturday after a 15-year-old Kibler Road, New Waterford, girl, who ran away from home during the night was caught heading to see her boyfriend in East Palestine. Deputies took the girl home to her parents.
– Jennifer Mitchell, Newton Falls, reported at 10:01 p.m. Saturday her ex-husband and her 17-year-old son got into a fight earlier in the evening. The father grabbed the boy around the neck and either slapped or punched him. The son did not want his mother to call deputies. The father told deputies he lost his temper. Mitchell and her son had not decided if they wished to file charges.
– Kathy Troyer, Gavers Road, Hanoverton, reported at 6:59 p.m. Saturday someone was shooting guns in the area of her home. Deputies responded several times, but did not find a source.
– Tiffany Styen, Boardman, reported at 6:10 p.m. Saturday her ex has full custody of the children and will not allow her to speak with them. She was concerned something may be wrong. Deputies found no vehicles in the driveway and were unable to reach anyone there or by calling. Several calls went straight to voicemail.
– Barbara Martin, Holmeswood, Winona, reported at 6:10 p.m. Monday her 14-year-old foster son walked away after he was punished. Deputies found him in the area of the intersection of Winona and Whinnery roads. He was taken back to the house.
– Joanie Lugowski, Hookstown, Pa., reported at 2:25 p.m. Monday she broke up with Robert E. Lee the day after Christmas. She still has a few belongings at his home and would like to pick up, but he will not cooperate when she tries to make arrangements. She claimed he also threatened to use Olivia Lugowski’s Social Security number fraudulently, but so far has not carried through with any threats he has made to her knowledge.
Lisbon
– Jenna Traversa of Salem, who works for the Morning Journal, discovered her PT Cruiser windshield was egged while the vehicle was in the newspaper parking lot at 2:31a.m. April 16.
– Someone from Children Services called at 1:29 p.m. Thursday to report a 17-year-old boy had run away from them, and the youth was later found by police on North Market Street near Prospect Street. The boy was then taken to county juvenile court for violating his probation.
– A loud music complaint was received on Moore Street at 11:37 p.m. Sunday. Police went the apartment complex and could hear music. Police went to apartment D and told the tenant to turn down the volume. He did
– Fred Carlisle, East Lincoln Way, reported Monday someone is cutting through his landscaping to read his neighbor’s gas meter, pushing over his edging and causing rocks to spill into his yard. Carlisle hung a sign telling them to stay out but the sign was taken down and two of his plants were smashed. Police said they would contact the gas company and tell them the meter reader needs to walk around to the other side of the neighbor’s house.
– Connie Wilson of Lisbon reported Monday her phone was taken while she was at Shenanigan’s Pub over the weekend.
– Daniel Lydic called at 11:53 p.m. April 15 to say he was concerned about his mother, who was with a man who went to prison for domestic violence and they were at the Steel Trolley Diner now. Lydic said there was a restraining order against the man from 10 years ago, but police determined it must have expired. Police then went to the diner but neither person were there.
– Eric Frenzel called at 1:30 a.m. Monday about a fight at Shenanigan’s Pub, but no one was around and the doors were locked when police arrived. The owners then came outside and said they closed at midnight and were cleaning up.
– A caller reported a motorist driving in an erratic manner through town at 10:40 p.m. Sunday. Police stopped Glenn Mays, who contacted his son to come get him.
– Youngstown police called at 7:41 p.m. Sunday looking for a vehicle possibly involved in a hit/skip accident that occurred in its jurisdiction. This led police to a home on East Washington Street, where they found a red Escape with front-end damage parked close to a fence.
– Jennifer Libert reported at 4:39 p.m. Sunday that Scott Rudder was violating a protection order by being at an apartment on North Market Street. Rudder said he was there to collect his belongings so he could spend the night elsewhere. Corey Libert said this was fine as longer as Rudder did not bother them.
East Palestine
– Someone from attorney Shirley Smith’s law office reported at 12:24 p.m. Monday the stair railing to the apartment at 102 N. Market St. was broken sometime over the weekend, possibly by a tenant.
– Duane Barnes, was cited for OVI, driving under suspension, speeding and marijuana possession following a traffic stop on East Martin at 1:46 a.m. Sunday.
– Steven Flowers was cited for speeding and OVI after a traffic stop on West Martin at 10:26 p.m. Saturday.
– Ashley Jackson, West Street, reported at 2:27 p.m. Friday she received a harassing letter from her neighbor.
– Donna M. Mineard, 48, North Sumner Street, was arrested for falsification at 6 p.m. Friday at her home.
– A man reported at 12:59 p.m. Saturday two kids were dangling their feet over the West Street Bridge. Police checked the area but did not see the kids.
– Police told people in two vehicles at the park to move along at 11:15 p.m. Saturday.
– Valerie Rockenberger, address not listed, reported at 10 a.m. Saturday she believed someone is taking advantage of her father.
Columbiana
– A woman reported at 6:58 a.m. Monday Chihu-ahuas were running loose in the area of South Main and Union streets. Police checked but didn’t find the dogs.
– Linda VanDyke, North Vine Street, reported at 10 a.m. Monday a company in Poland installed windows in her house back in November and she believes they are faulty. Police told her it was a civil matter.
– A South Main Street woman reported at 12:48 p.m. Monday she was possibly receiving scam phone calls.
– Police found a basement door open at the Lakefront Restaurant at 5:51 p.m. Monday and it appeared the door had been forced open and two handguns and a rifle were visible inside. Police stood by until another officer arrived to assist. The officers discovered the weapons were actually antiquated BB guns.
East Liverpool
– Dillon Dellapena, Bank Street, was charged Monday with criminal damaging after his grandparent, Michael Goodballet, reported he had “flipped out” and began breaking items in Goodballet’s home.
– A Ms. Price, Henry Avenue, reported she sold her vehicle to a friend who failed to return her plates. The friend then sold the vehicle to another unknown person.
– Kristopher L. Shuman, Saint George Street, reported his MAC card removed from his wallet and used at the Sheetz store and PNC Bank for a total of $212.
– Katie Smith reported being bitten by a dog from Oakwood Street. The owner was contacted and told officers her dogs have had their rabies shots.
– Melissa S. Rockwell, 45, Wilbert Avenue, reported being constantly harassed and she and her children threatened by nearby tenants.
– Brian D. Miller, 33, Almont Street, told police two men left his home and, afterward, he found his coat which contained his wallet was missing.
– Steve Morehead, Saint George Street, reported two men he knows are causing him problems. He told police the two men stole a piano from him in 2013 and it has been an issue since.
– Nila Farnsworth, Moore Street, reported she had placed a couch on her porch to await pickup from Aaron Rental and three weeks went by without it being picked up. Overnight Sunday, the couch was stolen from her porch.
– Haley A. Buzzard, Jackman Street, reported her locked home was entered and her ex-boyfriend’s clothing, children’s DVD player and other items were taken. She told officers she had broken up with her boyfriend in February.
St. Clair Township
– Officers responded to Tim Horton’s where Samantha Catalano reported a theft. No other details were reported.
– Courtney Kind, Simmons Street, reported her 1-year-old dog bitten by a dog owned by a man she knows. She was advised to contact the dog warden.
– Officers responded to a property dispute on Cornell Street reported by Sonia Reed. No further details were reported.
– Rodney Kale, no address listed, reported someone accessed his private information to open a bank account in his name and make several transactions.
– An officer on patrol reported seeing a vehicle sitting outside an abandoned trailer on Dome Street in which a person appeared to be crouching down. He identified the driver as Jonathon E. Beaver, 42, Cortland, who said he once lived there and was just checking it. Beaver told the officer his mother owns the property. He was found to have an outstanding warrant for child support out of the county and was taken into custody and turned over to the sheriff’s department.
– Officers responded to the home of Heather L. Hickman, 25, Sidehill Road, for a domestic dispute. No other details were reported.
– Barbara Muschweck, 56, Stagecoach Road, reported that, while she was on vacation, her daughter took several items from her home that were pawned at area pawn shops. Items taken included televisions and jewelry which were pawned by three different females she identified. Muschweck only wanted a report done so she could reclaim her items from the pawn shops, but officers advised her they would not continue filing reports of this type without conducting an investigation and charging the person responsible, and Muschweck decided she did not want the matter investigated further.

Salem
– Michael Eckstein, of the 300 block of Hickory Lane, reported at 12:32 p.m. Monday that the back window of his daughter’s car was broken out. It appeared it was shattered from the inside, with all the glass laying in the driveway.

County Sheriff
– Eric Metz, state Route 154, Rogers, reported Sunday someone entered his barn and opened all the doors, letting out all the animals. Three chickens and seven peacocks were taken, as well as an incubator with an egg turner filled with three dozen chicken eggs.
– Debra Watson, Buck Road, Beloit, reported Saturday someone entered her home sometime between Thursday and Friday and took a 48-inch flatscreen television and a Blue Rey player from her bedroom as well as 12 DVDs from the kitchen counter.
– Tracey Sanlo, Teegarden Road, Hanoverton, reported Sunday she was using her card at Walmart and it was declined, after which she learned her card had been used twice at a Dublin, Ohio, Walmart for transactions totaling $54.94 and $304.94, the second of which was declined. Sanlo still has her card but said during both of the transactions in Dublin a card was swiped.
– A welfare check was requested on a Columbiana-Lisbon Road, Columbiana man after his brother had not heard from him in a few days. Deputies arrived to find his brother had entered through a bathroom window and found his brother deceased of apparent natural causes. Deputies stayed on the scene to assist the coroner.
– Deputies were sent to a Hillcrest Circle home Saturday in reference to a possible domestic dispute, where Marissa Murphy reported she and her boyfriend, Zach Peterson, were in an argument when he pushed her out of the way while trying to leave the residence. Peterson told deputies that Murphy refused to leave his home, where she does not reside, and he moved her out of the way. Both refused to file charges, and Murphy left and was advised not to return.
– Gary Albitz, Brookdale Avenue, East Palestine, reported Saturday he was mowing and heard a loud booming noise and his mower stopped. Upon inspection, Albitz found he had run over a rope with a fastener attached that appears to have been left on his property from someone installing new power lines. He was advised this would be a civil matter.
– Deputies responded Saturday to a Homeworth Road residence in reference to animals at large, where Roger Wilson reported there were two pigs on his property and he did not know whose they were. Contact was made with Tracy Finnegan of Center Road who arrived on the scene, and the pigs returned to the Finnegan property.
Highway Patrol
– While eastbound on Dyke Road Sunday morning, a 2008 Chevy HHR driven by Barbara J. Woodard, 46, Laura Road, East Liverpool, caught fire. The vehicle, owned by Barbara A. Ammon-Douds, Clark Street, East Liverpool, was destroyed along with the proof of insurance inside, according to reports.
– Danielle S. Vaughn, 30, Sharpsville, Pa., was southbound on state Route 164 Saturday morning when she failed to negotiate a curve, causing her vehicle to go off the right side of the roadway, slide down an embankment and strike a tree stump, becoming disabled on top of a pile of dead trees. Neither she nor the three children with her were injured. Vaughn was cited for failure to control.
– Don W. Humphrey, 63, state Route 172, Kensington, was westbound on state Route 172 Wednesday and Kevin Dickey, 26, West Sixth Street, Salem, was northbound on Depot Road when Dickey failed to yield from a stop sign, striking Humphrey’s vehicle. Dickey was cited for the stop sign violation. No injuries were reported.
– Christina M. Randolph, 24, Pinewood Drive, New Waterford, and John J. Mamounis, 36, Campbell, were both eastbound on state Route 164 when Mamounis stopped his vehicle across both lanes, causing Randolph’s vehicle to strike his. Asked why he pulled his vehicle across the lanes, Mamounis replied, “To get out of the car, they would have to stop,” according to reports. He was cited for prohibited parking on a highway. Randolph and her passengers, Seth R. Randolph, 23, and Michael R. Randolph, 4, all of the same address as hers, were transported by ambulance to St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Boardman.
East Liverpool
– Raymond Johnston, 43, no address listed, was stopped Saturday on Bradshaw Avenue for driving a vehicle whose license plate was registered to a different vehicle and because the license plate sticker was concealed. The vehicle smelled strongly of marijuana, and Johnston produced a marijuana cigarette from underneath the seat, according to reports. He was cited for possession of marijuana.
Salem
– Police responded to a domestic at 7:25 a.m. Sunday in the 500 block of North Ellsworth Avenue where a female advised she woke up to the father of her child grabbing the child forcefully. She said they had an argument because the child was fussy all night, then she said he grabbed her by the throat and pushed her onto the bed. No marks were observed on her or the child. The male said he did have an argument with the woman over the child but he was not physical with either one of them. He said he would leave for the day.
– An officer on patrol at 3:39 a.m. Sunday attempted to initiate a traffic stop with a vehicle for speeding on East State Street, but the vehicle did not stop and pulled into the hospital parking lot. The driver said his female passenger was having a medical emergency. The officer got help and she was taken inside.
– Vehicles were reported racing up and down Ridgewood Drive at 2:38 a.m. Sunday, but no vehicles were found.
– Two suspicious vehicles were reported at 1:21 a.m. Sunday in the 1200 block of East Third Street and appeared to be in some type of dispute. The vehicles were not found.
– A woman in the 700 block of North Ellsworth Avenue reported at 1:15 a.m. Sunday that a suspicious vehicle has been driving through her alley every night. She couldn’t provide a description of the vehicle. An officer stayed in the area several minutes and observed the alley, but didn’t see a vehicle drive through.
– Officers located a vehicle at 11:25 p.m. Saturday with its alarm sounding and lights flashing at a business in the 200 block of South Lincoln Avenue. The driver door wasn’t latched so the officer secured the vehicle prior to leaving, but the alarm was still sounding.
– Loud persons were reported at 10:16 p.m. Saturday at East Fifth Street and Rose Avenue. An officer spoke to the people and told them to keep the noise down.
– Charles Corbett, 66, of North Lincoln Avenue, was cited for a traffic control device violation after a traffic stop at 9:42 p.m. Saturday in the 400 block of Vine Avenue. After speaking with the driver, it was determined he was operating the vehicle as a taxi without the proper identification markings. He was told to cease his actions as a taxi for the evening and that he would be receiving a minor misdemeanor citation for a taxi violation, besides the traffic violation.
– A possible water line break was reported at 9:43 p.m. Saturday in the 1000 block of East Fourth Street. The responding officer saw water running in the road and traced the source to a front yard on Fourth Street. The resident said the water was the result of a clogged sump pump drain. East time the pump turned on, the water was being pushed up from the downspout drain and then flowed through the yard to the street.
– An assault was reported at 9:29 p.m. Saturday in the 1900 block of East State Street which occurred on Thursday. The officer spoke with the victim and alleged suspect in the case. Information will be sent to the prosecutor for review.
– A caller at 9:26 p.m. Saturday reported seeing a group of juveniles in the area of Hawley Avenue and East Fourth Street with a television, thinking they may have stolen it. Officers were aware of a television sitting out in the curb lawn as trash. A group of juveniles was located who said another group of boys were seen near the television.
– A Jennings Avenue resident called at 7:39 p.m. Saturday to report receiving harassing phone calls from a family member. The officer contacted the family member and told them to cease contact with the resident or criminal charges could result.
– Carly Williams, 19, of Columbiana, was cited for assured clear distance ahead after her southbound vehicle on North Lincoln Avenue at 6:49 p.m. Saturday struck the rear of a southbound motorcycle driven by Russell Austin, 32, of Cleveland, who was stopped for traffic at State Street. No injuries were reported.
– A private property accident was reported at 7:19 p.m. Saturday in the Circle K East parking lot at 1125 E. State St. involving a truck. The report said the truck was leaving the parking lot and one of its doors was open and struck one of the signs at the business.
– A domestic dispute was reported at 5:54 p.m. Saturday in the Walmart parking lot. Officers spoke with the people involved and no physical violence occurred, just a verbal altercation. They were told to stay away from each other until they can calm down.
– A woman in the 800 block of West Pershing Street reported at 3:58 p.m. Saturday that she’s receiving unwanted phone calls and texts from a person known to her. She was told her options. Officers contacted the person and told him to have no more contact with the woman.
– A woman in the 800 block of New Garden Avenue reported being a victim of identity fraud at 3:46 p.m. Saturday. An officer took down the information and told her to keep a close watch on her accounts. If she notices anything out of the ordinary, she should call police.
– Police were called at 2:53 p.m. Saturday to check the well being of a resident in the 800 block of North Ellsworth Avenue. The dog was found outside when a neighbor arrived and had a key. Entry was gained by the neighbor who also called the husband who said the female had left in the morning.
– A woman in the city reported phone harassment at 9:10 a.m. Saturday, saying she’s receiving unwanted text messages from her ex about how she is spending child support money. Officers told both sides to cease further contact and inform their respective attorneys about any civil issues.
– A barking dog was reported at 8:41 a.m. Saturday in the 100 block of South Lincoln Avenue. No one was home, so a warning tag was left at a residence.
Salem
– Firefighters were called at 10:20 p.m. Saturday to the 500 block of Woodland Avenue where a resident was having an issue with an electrical outlet. The resident tripped over an extension cord, which caused the wires to pull out of the cord’s plug, tripping the circuit breaker. The resident had already unplugged the cord from the outlet. Firefighters checked the area with the thermal imaging camera and found no problems. The resident was assisted in turning the circuit breaker back on.
– Firefighters and police were called at 8:32 p.m. Saturday to Arch Street for a Chevy Trailblazer on fire. Several bystanders said the vehicle left the area. Dispatch had notified officers that the vehicle was on New Garden Avenue heading into the city, but was not found during a check of the area by police and firefighters.

Salem
– A domestic was reported at 2:50 p.m. Wednesday on Cleveland Street where a male swung multiple times at a female and had two children present. The male said he was upset about the female allowing the children to take a scooter to a local restaurant. Nothing physical occurred and no injuries were observed.
– A man in the 100 block of Rose Avenue reported at 1:03 p.m. Wednesday that his landlord struck him in the chest with a closed fist. The report said the two were arguing because the landlord accused him of damaging/stealing property stakes the landlord placed on the property.
– Councilman Clyde Brown called police at 12:05 p.m. Wednesday about a white SUV parked in a front yard in the 500 block of North Ellsworth Avenue. An officer saw the vehicle sitting on the paved curb area in front of a residence and left a warning on the vehicle for parking on the curb and the new parking in yard ordinance.
– A woman from the 1100 block of East 10th Street came to the station at 11:44 a.m. Wednesday to report locating a letter in her mailbox with no return address. She said the letter was addressed to her son and seemed suspicious. She was told to discuss the letter with her son to see if he knew what it meant. It did not appear to be threatening but some sort of code.
– Police responded at 11:25 a.m. Wednesday to Reilly School where a little boy from across the street came to see his sister at school. The mother arrived as staff members were trying to make contact and said she was in the bathroom when he took off. She said he’s fascinated with the construction company working outside and won’t stay inside. She was told he had been at the school for 10 minutes. The report will be sent to Children Services.
– An officer was dispatched at 11:19 a.m. Wednesday to advise a city resident about a warning from the Salem Health Department. The resident was not home so a warning card was left. A dog at large had been reported but a dog was observed inside the apartment barking.
– A road crew in the area of Franklin Avenue and South Union Avenue called at 9:09 a.m. Wednesday to have two vehicles moved off the road. The owner was moving the vehicles when police arrived.
– Ryan Boyce, of Adamson Veterinary Clinic, 375 W. State St., reported at 9:01 a.m. Wednesday that sometime between Monday night and Tuesday morning , someone attempted to gain entry into the building by prying up a screen and trying to break the locks on the window. No entry was gained.
– A vehicle driven by Kimberly Whitman was damaged after a Central Allied skid steer vehicle backed into her vehicle while she was stopped on South Lundy by a flagger for a repaving project at 8:50 a.m. Wednesday. The report said she was stopped near Columbia Street and the person driving the construction vehicle didn’t see her behind him and backed into her vehicle. No injuries were reported. No citation was issued, but the Central Allied worker was at fault and the accident will be handled through the insurance company.
– An alarm was activated at 12:02 a.m. Wednesday in the 1400 block of Quaker Court. The exterior of the business was found secure.
– A woman in the 400 block of Aetna Street reported at 11:42 p.m. Tuesday that her 15-year-old daughter was upset and causing problems because her boyfriend wasn’t allowed to stay at the residence. She said her daughter shoved her out of the way during an argument. Officers told the juvenile she would have to listen to her mother’s rules. She was told if her actions continued or she snuck out, she would be charged.
– A woman in the 1200 block of Maple Street reported at 10:58 p.m. Tuesday that a family member sent 30 harassing text messages that evening and this was the third night in a row of ongoing telecom-munications harassment from this same person. An officer will attempt to follow up.
– Suspicious persons and vehicles were reported at 10:14 p.m. Tuesday at Waterworth Memorial Park off of Sunset. A male and female were contacted whose cars were legally parked and they were talking. The officer saw no problem.
– A possible domestic dispute was reported at 9:59 p.m. Tuesday in the 100 block of South Union Avenue. A boyfriend and girlfriend had a verbal altercation. No threats or violence occurred. The male was intoxicated, extremely loud and using vulgar language. He was asked to lower his voice several times and to refrain from disturbing the neighborhood or a disorderly conduct charge could result. He felt he wasn’t doing anything wrong and expressed anger about a neighbor calling police. He was told officers are obligated to investigate all reported disturbances and maintain the peace. He acknowledged the warnings to return home and quiet down.
– A caller at 9:49 p.m. Tuesday reported a tractor trailer obstructing traffic while trying to turn around in the 2900 block of East State Street where the road is closed 100 yards beyond that area. The vehicle was gone when police arrived.
– A vehicle with lights on was reported at 9:43 p.m. Tuesday on Legacy Lane, but was not found.
– A Salineville resident called at 8:55 p.m. Tuesday regarding possible menacing that occurred in the 900 block of East State Street where a male had possibly threatened a female. No evidence of a threat was found.
– Police were dispatched at 6:16 p.m. Tuesday to the Salem food pantry on East Third Street for a harassment report. A man said he was being harassed.
– A possible combative patient was reported at 5:21 p.m. Tuesday in the 400 block of Continental Drive. Officers arrived and found the person not currently combative but medical personnel thought there was a risk she may become combative. Police stood by until medical personnel could evaluate the situation.
– A man on Westville Lake Road started to report an attempted scam through an online web page at 4:56 p.m. Tuesday but it was determined he didn’t live in the city and the incident did not occur in the city. He was referred to the appropriate law enforcement agency.
– A clerk at Smith Oil reported a drive-off at 4:35 p.m. Tuesday, saying someone left without paying for $25 worth of gas.
– The city street foreman called police at 1:39 p.m. Tuesday concerned over grass being blown in the street in the 1800 block of Fairview Court. The resident said her son mowed and she would tell him.
– William Alesi, 31, of 1138 Liberty St., was taken into custody at 1:45 p.m. Tuesday in the 400 block of Aetna Street on an active warrant for narcotic equipment possession. He was released to a deputy to be taken to jail.
County Sheriff
– Tonya Sevek, Clarks Mill Road, Salineville, reported at 6:50 p.m. Tuesday two boys and a girl broke into a home, stole some things and were walking toward state Route 39. Deputies checked the area, but did not find them. Upon arrival at the Clarks Mill Road home, deputies were told some relatives had stopped the suspects at Southern Local High School. Deputies went there and spoke with Roger and Adam Sevek, relatives of Tonya Sevek. The two men were with two 12-year-old boys and an 11-year-old girl, who were crying and apologizing. Tim Sevek said he had been plowing the field on his tractor when he saw the three children coming around the house. He ran toward the house yelling and the children ran off through the field. Several windows were broken and items were missing from the home. The children were turned over to their father and the matter will be sent to juvenile court for review.
– Michelle McCuean, state Route 344, Columbiana, reported at 2:32 p.m. Monday her mother has been harassing her. Deputies contacted Connie Datillio and warned her to stop contacting her daughter.
– Kristin Hoyle, Salem Alliance Road, Salem, reported at 1:07 p.m. Monday she found numerous fraudulent charges on her debit card totaling nearly $158. She contacted her bank.
– Dawnitta Crespo, North Beaver Street, Lisbon, reported at 5:32 p.m. Tuesday she was eastbound on U.S. Route 62 when her husband, Robert Crespo, started flipping out and banging his head on the dash and passenger door. She claimed he then grabbed the wheel of the vehicle forcing it left of center. She managed to get control back and it jumped the curb, spun out and came to rest in the grass in a yard. Robert Crespo told deputies his wife was punching him in the head and that is why she lost control. He did have swollen red marks on the left side of his head, but would not cooperate with filing charges on Dawnitta Crespo. Deputies cited her for failure to control and Robert Crespo was given a ride to a home on state Route 172.
Highway Patrol
– Valentina A. Gheorghe, 26, Canfield, was southbound on state Route 11 in Elkrun Township at 6:50 a.m. Tuesday and hit a deer.
– Wayne A. Harper, 66, Carrollton, was driving southwest on U.S. 30 in Hanover Township at 2:25 p.m. Sunday and went off the right side and overturned. Harper was ejected from the motorcycle and struck a guardrail. He declined medical treatment at the scene and was cited for failure to control.
Lisbon
– Police were called to the apartment of a North Market Street man at 10:22 p.m. Tuesday. When asked what was the problem, the man said he just wanted to rest in peace. An ambulance was called to transport him to a local hospital.
– A truck driver in the Days Inn parking lot reported turning down a man who asked him for a ride at 7:18 p.m. Tuesday. Police found the man next door at the Shale Tavern sitting at the bar, and he was checked for warrants and there were none. The man said he found another ride, and police waited until the ride arrived and he left.
– Kevin Schreffler, North Market Street, reported March 24 the following items were stolen from his garage: Yard Machine mower, air compressor, leaf blower, gas weed trimmer, vacuum pump, manifold gauge, extension cord and gasoline can.
Columbiana
– Kenneth A. Staats Jr., 80, James Street, Columbiana, was eastbound on East Park Avenue at 8 a.m. Tuesday and approaching the Parkside Health Care Center and struck Amanda C. Lipply, 36, Pueblo Lane, Columbiana, who was also eastbound. Staats was cited for assured clear distance and taken to St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Boardman with possible injuries. His passenger, Patricia A. Staats, 76, James Street, Columbiana, was also taken to the medical center with non-life-threatening injuries.
– Raeannen Baker, Lakeview Drive, reported at 10 a.m. Tuesday her future ex-husband’s new girlfriend was being “annoying.” Police found nothing criminal occurred and advised Baker to contact a civil attorney if there are any other issues.
– John P. Grim, 46, Canfield, was eastbound on state Route 14 at 4:44 p.m. Tuesday and was struck from behind by Kerry L. Rouse, 40, North Liberty Street, East Palestine. Rouse was cited for assured clear distance.
– Police received multiple calls around 5 p.m. Tuesday of a brush fire on state Route 11 beyond city limits. The call was later canceled by Leetonia.
– Joni Rambo reported at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday a man who had already been reported to police for causing issues at the tanning salon on North Main Street was back at the business. Police told the man not to return and warned him for trespassing. The man’s identity was not included in the report.
– Seth Randolf reported at 11:18 p.m. Tuesday there was a car crash on state Route 344 near the railroad overpass. Police notified the highway patrol and the sheriff’s office, which also responded. No injuries were reported. Police stood by until the patrol arrived.
– Beverly E. Reidy, Padgett Road, East Palestine, was cited for failure to yield from a stop sign following a crash in Chestnut Alley at 5:40 p.m. Monday. Reidy was southbound in the alley when her vehicle struck a vehicle driven by a 16-year-old boy from Columbiana.
East Palestine
– A woman reported at 5:22 p.m. Sunday a young girl about 9 or 10 years old was riding a four-wheeler up and down South Street. Police warned the girl for riding and also spoke with her father on Thomas Street.
– Zach Nemes, East Main Street, reported at 12:45 p.m. Monday Sara and Tammy Nemes were in a domestic dispute at the home. No charges were filed.
– David Tomchick, Howell Road, reported at 6:31 p.m. Monday people were riding a four-wheeler on village property and it did not have a muffler.
– Police were called to 82 E. Rebecca St. for a report that Dustin Brayshaw and Donna Minerd were fighting behind Ward’s Dry Cleaning. Minerd later came to the police station.
East Liverpool
– Officers responded at 2:02 a.m. Wednesday to West Sixth Street for reports of an intoxicated woman near the Potters Club. They found the woman sitting on the ground, a strong smell of alcohol on her breath and person, according to reports. A driver’s license lying on the ground nearby identified her as Courtney N. Hill, 26, Sophia Street, who was charged with public intoxication and released to her boyfriend.
Liverpool Township
– Mike Shaw, Dillworth Avenue, reported his neighbor’s dog has been running loose without a collar and acting aggressively. A young man at the neighbor’s house was advised that the dog’s owner needs to get the dog on a chain and obtain a license. He was advised a second call would result in a citation.
Wellsville
– Jennifer Allen reported at 7 p.m. Tuesday her son’s vehicle was parked at the high school when another student backed into the front of the car, owned by Joseph Bucher.
– Police were called at 2:42 p.m. Wednesday to Garfield Elementary following an argument between Heather Zema, Sanford Street, East Liverpool, and Marla Zema, the current wife of Heather’s ex-husband, Mike Zema of Main Street in Wellsville. The argument was over picking up Heather and Mike’s daughter, who is in the second grade. An officer advised both women if they do not reach an agreement, the child will go with the biological parent and no one else. Because the father was not present at the time, an officer advised Heather to take the child and for all parties to go back to court since they could not come to an agreement. The daughter went home with Heather.
The next day around 3 p.m., the father went into the high school and approached an officer after finding that Heather’s mother, Particia Densmore, had picked up his daughter and son and were leaving the parking lot. An officer went outside and found Marla standing in front of Densmore’s vehicle. The officer asked to speak to Heather on the phone and informed her of the conversation from the day before in which only the biological parent can take the child home. Heather stated that she understood that and knew what would happen. Both children, this time, went home with Mike.
– A sheriff’s deputy requested assistance around 9:40 p.m. Friday regarding a few search warrants in town. The deputy and a couple Wellsville officers went to a Clark Avenue residence, where they were met by a female resident. The deputy asked if Christy Cramer was home, to which the other female resident went to get her. The deputy and one Wellsville officer proceeded to go up the steps and were able to smell marijuana and see a lot of smoke. The deputy asked the male occupant, John Skeens, to flush the roach down the toilet, to which officers observed Skeens take something out of his pocket and attempt to conceal it out of officers view. Skeens was then told to leave the bathroom and sit on the steps while an officer conducted a weapons search for officers safety. An officer opened a medicine cabinet and found a small clear bag of marijuana and a folded $20 bill, which included a brown rock-like substance, suspected to be heroin. When asked what was in the bill, Skeens said it was dope, to which he stated he had been doing on-again, off-again for years and buys it from Steubenville. Skeens was taken into custody and charged with drug paraphernalia. More charges are pending upon testing of the suspected heroin.

– On Saturday, Nigel Spann of Wellsville was cited for speeding.
– The following citations were issued on Sunday: Sheldon Hess, Mentor, speeding; Nicolas Ludovici, Chester,, speeding; Amy Ware, East Liverpool, speeding; Dominic Harris, Phoenix, Ariz., speeding and no driver’s license.
– Ashley Perrine, 18th Street, reported at 11:20 a.m. Monday that she was moving her belongings out of the residence and believed her ex-boyfriend stole her flat screen TV, a Hello Kitty bike and a microwave. She said a neighbor saw the ex-boyfriend take the bike Friday afternoon when Perrine wasn’t home. She wanted to know how to obtain a protection order.

– Sandra A. Reynolds, state Route 45, Lisbon, reported at 6:08 p.m. Monday she was assaulted by her boyfriend, Michael Oates Jr., Desellem Road, Lisbon. Reynolds claimed Oates pulled her out of her vehicle and then struck her in the mouth. Charges are pending.
– Rob Angus, Pancake-Clarkson Road, Negley, reported at 4:32 p.m. Monday he heard a loud noise and went out to find Kevin Gregory outside in a blue 2014 Honda CRV. Angus said he yelled at Gregory, who told him he should have better locks and left. Angus checked his garage and found someone had kicked in the door to the garage, damaging the frame. A tire was missing, which had belonged to Gregory when he stayed at the house in the past. Charges are pending.
– Natalie Datillio, Richardson Avenue, Negley, reported at 3:38 p.m. Monday, her tax person informed her that when her taxes were submitted the Social Security number has been blocked by the IRS.
– Courtney Rooth, state Route 7, New Waterford, told deputies she had been playing on her phone Sunday when he neighbor, Amy Cooper, came over yelling at her and calling names, claiming she was recording her children. On Monday, Rooth said Cooper was recording her while she was out recording children playing with battery operated cars on her own property. Rooth believes Cooper is causing problems because Rooth reported a failing septic issue on Cooper’s property to the health department.
– Bob Burkey, Lower Elkton Road, Columbiana, reported at 3:13 p.m. Monday he believed his 13-year-old grandson stole a Colt police special .38 caliber revolver from his gun cabinet over the weekend. Struthers police recovered the gun from his grandson’s room. He did not want to filed theft charges.
Lisbon
– Sondra Copestick, West Lincoln Way, reported there was a suspicious vehicle behind her residence at 3:10 a.m. Monday and she believes it may be her grandson. Police determined it was her grandson and some friends, and he said they were leaving for the night and he was going inside.
-While on patrol an officer found a door open at Willowbrook Sand & Gravel at 9:27 p.m. Monday and checked but found nothing amiss, leading him to believe it must have been left open due to neglect. The owner was contacted, and he, too, found nothing missing.
-Police responded to a malfunctioning alarm at the Eagles Club at 12:17 a.m. Monday.
Columbiana
– A man reported at 3 a.m. Monday there was a suspicious vehicle parked near the Manor Apartments and the interior dome light was on inside. Police checked but did not see the vehicle.
– Police dispatched firefighters to a report of a car on fire on Lower Elkton Road at 11:30 a.m. Monday.
– A woman reported at 8:13 p.m. Monday kids were skateboarding in the Grace Church parking lot. Police spoke with the kids, who claimed to have had permission to skate there, but police pointed out the “no skateboarding sign” and they left.
East Palestine
– Brett Young, 29, West North Avenue, was arrested on a county warrant for theft at 9:28 p.m. Friday at his home.

– A junk vehicle zoning violation notice was sent to Charles E. Hughes Jr., at 681 E. Martin St. at 11:33 a.m. Saturday.
East Liverpool
– A clerk at Smith Oil on St. Clair Avenue reported seeing a man she identified as a neighbor placing his personal trash into the business’ Dumpster. The man had allegedly done so in the past, and the clerk had been instructed by management if he was seen doing so again, to report it to police. Evidence was collected and charges are pending.
– A Ms. Kittle and Mr. Anderson reported money taken from a wallet that was inside a vehicle parked in Peach Alley and also money taken from the vehicle.
St. Clair Township
– Dan Ludwig, Cannons Mill Road, reported the batteries stolen from his lawn mowers and cables on the mowers cut.
– Douglas E. Gill, 33, Duke Road, reported a dog bite incident. No other details were reported.
– Robert A. Buck, no address listed, reported someone has been accessing property he owns on Bell School Road and cutting wood.
– Officers responded to Moore Road for a verbal dispute between Tina Quimby and Shawn Jackson, who have lived together two years, according to reports. The couple agreed they needed to stay away from each other, so Quimby left earlier than usual for work.
– While eastbound in the passing lane of state Route 170, a vehicle driven by James M. Pinkerton, 45, Bell Road, Lisbon, was struck when Kathleen T. Nguyen, 68, North Shady Lane tried to merge her vehicle from the turning lane into the passing lane. No injuries or citations were reported but Nguyen was reported to be at fault for the crash.
Salem
– David Dinsio called police at 12:59 p.m. Tuesday about the road in the 2900 block of East State Street being obstructed, complaining that the sign regarding a road closure wasn’t large enough for drivers to see. The Ohio Department of Transportation in Mahoning County was contacted about the issue. An officer responded and found the signs in the same place they’ve been since the beginning of the week. The officer advised dispatch to let ODOT know, questioning whether they want to place another sign before Cunningham. Reportedly traffic has been backing up and motorists are having to find a way to turn around, not realizing the road is closed for a culvert replacement.
– A caller at 8:52 a.m. Tuesday complained about traffic on Ohio Avenue near Reilly School. An officer found a Miller Pipeline/Columbia Gas operation underway for maintenance. One lane was open and traffic was light.
– An officer at 8:10 a.m. Tuesday responded to assist Perry Township with traffic control while Perry Police handled a traffic crash. The Perry Township fire department also assisted with traffic. The report did not note the location of the crash.
– An officer was called at 6:13 a.m. Tuesday to Simmons Feed & Supply on Snyder Road for a private property accident. A semi trailer and steel guardrail were damaged when the truck was turning into the lot.
– A man arrived at the police station at 12:56 a.m. Tuesday and reported his cell phone was stolen while he was visiting an establishment in the 200 block of South Broadway Avenue. An investigation is pending.
– A domestic dispute was reported at 12:35 a.m. Tuesday in the 200 block of North Ellsworth Avenue. Police made contact with both parties, who are boyfriend/girlfriend, and learned the two got into a verbal dispute over personal matters, but nothing physical occurred. The female left for the night.
– An officer on patrol at 10:04 p.m. Monday saw a suspicious person/vehicle in the high school parking lot and spoke to the person. He was having vehicle troubles.
– Police responded at 10:02 p.m. Monday to Waterworth Memorial Park off of Sunset for a report of several people with flashlights along the edge of the walking path, but didn’t locate anyone.
-A suspicious vehicle was reported at 9:36 p.m. Monday in the back of a lot in the 400 block of Legacy Lane with its tail lights illuminated. The vehicle was secure and nothing appeared out of the ordinary except for the tail lights being on.
– A woman in the 1100 block of Cleveland Street at 9:28 p.m. Monday reported she was receiving unwanted calls and texts from a person known to her. She was told her options. Police also contacted the suspect and told him to cease contact.
– Police responded at 8:51 p.m. Monday to the 400 block of Ohio Avenue for a dispute. Both people involved said it was only verbal. Nothing further was needed.
– Police responded with the fire department at 8:27 p.m. Monday to the area of Morgan Court for a smoke investigation, but were unable to determine the origin of the smoke, which dissipated while officers were there.
– Smoke was reported at 7:37 p.m. Monday in the 2300 block of East State Street around a business in the Salem Plaza, but no smoke was detected anywhere in the area. The fire department had also responded.
– Kevin Gregory, 25, of 50492 Pancake Clarkson Road, Negley, was taken into custody on warrants from Columbiana County after a traffic stop near the 1000 block of East Pershing Street Monday evening. City police had been notified by Perry Township Police about a male with active warrants possibly somewhere in the city driving a light blue SUV. Officers located the vehicle and made the stop, positively identifying the driver and confirming the warrants with the Sheriff’s Office. The driver was patted down for weapons, properly handcuffed and transported to the Salem Police station, then turned over to a deputy for transport to the county jail.
– A resident in the 2000 block of Southeast Boulevard came to the station at 5:26 p.m. Monday to speak with an officer about a case of fraud/identity theft. A person unknown to him opened up a credit card in his name without his knowledge or permission. He was told his options.
– Bradley Sayers, 35, of Louisville, was cited for assured clear distance ahead after his northbound vehicle struck the rear of another northbound vehicle driven by Jacob Boles, 20, of Youngstown, who had stopped for a traffic signal on South Lincoln Avenue at East Pershing Street at 5:03 p.m. Monday. Sayers was going to get checked out by medical professionals after the accident.
– An unruly juvenile was reported at 4:50 p.m. Monday in the 400 block of West State Street where a woman said her grandson was upset because she took away his video game system. Officers spoke with the juvenile about listening to his elders and doing as told.
– A resident in the area of South Union Avenue and Ridgewood reported at 4:29 p.m. Monday that a juvenile on a motor scooter was driving around another young juvenile. Officers made contact with the parents of the juvenile and advised it was unsafe for a young child to be driving on the road and sidewalks. The parents then supervised the children as they continued to play.

Highway Patrol
– Bruce M. Scott, 60, state Route 39, Salineville, was eastbound on state Route 39 in Washington Township at 12:20 p.m. Friday when a westbound vehicle driven by Ernest E. Downard, 84, Bolivar Road, Wellsville, turned left onto Steubenville Pike and collided with vehicle. Downard was cited with failure to yield. No injuries were reported.
– Christopher N. Crane, 46, Leetonia Road, Leetonia, was westbound on U.S. 30 in Center Township at 6:20 a.m. Friday when he struck a deer crossing the road. The deer was not found and Crane was uninjured.
County Sheriff
– Deputies were told of a domestic dispute on Forest Street, Lisbon, at 4:37 a.m. Sunday. Shannon Wright explained he had argued with his son, who had left before deputies arrived and broke a mirror in his bedroom before he left.
– Deputies went to a home on state Route 154 following a hang-up call at 6:10 a.m. Sunday, speaking with Barbie Chapman and David Bradley. They said there was an argument and she wanted him to leave, but everything was fine at that point.
– Someone reported finding a bag containing drugs in the area of state Route 517 and Lower Elkton Road, where Elk Run Creek runs under the state route at 3:01 p.m. Saturday. The bag had hundreds of heroin stamps and hypodermic syringes. More of both were found all throughout the creek. Deputies and the person who found them picked up as many of the syringes as they could find.
– An ATV accident was reported on Hibbetts Mill Road at 7:27 p.m. Saturday. Michael Kazee, the property owner, and other witnesses told deputies Bryan Heffner was riding with Melissa James on the back of his 2012 Honda when the ATV started coasting backward on a hillside. It flipped over and landed on them. Both were transported to East Liverpool City Hospital. James later told deputies Heffner struck a rock on the hillside, which caused the ATV to overturn.
– Jennifer Meek-Eells, West Washington Street, Lisbon, reported at 8:24 p.m. Saturday she returned from the Rogers Sale and found her phone missing from her vehicle. She tracked the phone utilizing an app and determined it to be in the Warren area. She called her phone provider to have it shut off.
– A group of bikers were reported standing along Depot Road and one man was lying on the ground at 6:41 p.m. Saturday. Deputies spoke to the bikers, who said one of their bikes broke down and they were all just waiting on a tow truck. They also said they had permission from the homeowner to hang out in the front yard until the tow truck arrived.
– Diana Stonemetz, Mountz Road, Minerva, reported at 7:57 p.m. Saturday someone dumped a mattress and a carpet on her property.
– Noel Genet, U.S. Route 30, Minerva, reported at 5:08 p.m. Saturday her neighbor saw someone removing items from her home while she was at work. Deputies checked the home and found it locked.
– Gary Fieldhouse, state Route 558, New Waterford, reported at 8:41 a.m. Sunday he found two of his pigs running loose. The gate was open and he found shoe tracks in the mud inside the pen. A third pig, white and weighing around 100 pounds, was not found. The pig is valued at about $200.
– Kenny Parks, Miller Road, Leetonia, reported at 1:01 p.m. Sunday a neighbor is using his dumpster without permission. Parks talked to the neighbor and believed the problem has been resolved.
– Jean Salem, Fairfield School Road, Columbiana, reported at 2:33 p.m. Sunday she found a BB hole in the front spare bedroom window of her home. The hole must have happened sometime after she got new windows last October.
– Raymond Carver, Cherry Street, Homeworth, reported gunshots at 3:37 p.m. Sunday. Deputies checked the area several times, but did not find a source.
– Karen Tilley of Jim’s Tire, state Route 39, Wellsville, reported at 3:20 p.m. Sunday sometime overnight someone attempted to pry open the door of the business, but were unsuccessful.
– Deputies checked Foundry Hill area in Franklin Township at 2:45 p.m. Sunday, where someone was reporting shooting. Several people were found shooting on Gavers Road, but they were doing so in a safe manner.
– Dolores Guthrie, Trinity Church Road, Lisbon, reported at 12:40 p.m. Sunday someone dumped a dead calf on the end of her property.
-The security office of Lake Tomahawk reported a domestic dispute at 2:30 p.m. Sunday. Kiersten Corbin of Tomahawk Drive reported she came home from work and her fiance, Taylor Stewart, grabbed her and threw her to the bed. She grabbed some clothes and swung them at Stewart, hitting him in the mouth with a clothes hanger. She then left and and he reportedly got into his truck, following her and yelling for her to get in. The security office was called at that point. Stewart confirmed they had argued and Corbin hit him in the mouth with a hanger, cutting his lip. He also punched a door and broke a computer keyboard. Corbin did not want to pursue charges, just get her belongings and leave. Stewart agreed he wanted her to go and not return.
– Teresa Ohlin, formerly of Heck Road, Columbiana, reported at 4:55 p.m. Sunday she has been receiving harassing test messages and phone calls from the woman having an affair with her husband. Ohlin stated she has now moved from the Heck Road address and is living in Mahoning County. She was told to file a report with Beaver Township police.
Columbiana
– Paris Lotze reported a possible harassment situation at 12:34 a.m. Saturday. Police spoke to Lotze and determined what happened may have been outside the city limits.
– Brad Kasunich, Union Street, reported at 1:52 a.m. Saturday his girlfriend was intoxicated and refusing to return his truck keys to him. They resolved the situation themselves and police left.
– A dog was reported at 8:36 a.m. Saturday tied in the area of Pittsburgh Street, barking for the past three hours. Police warned Amy Mateer, Spruce Street, about the dog.
– Nicolas Schuto, Kingwood Drive, Columbiana, reported at 11:39 a.m. Saturday a limb took down a wire.
– John Russell, South Middle Street, reported at 2:34 p.m. Saturday his neighbor, Richard Wiggers, was arguing with him about putting up a swimming pool and he wanted his neighbor off his property. Police told them the swimming pool is a civil issue, but if they continued to argue and police had to respond again someone could be cited with disorderly conduct.
– A woman reported fireworks in the area of Bittersweet Drive at 8:40 p.m. Saturday.
– Burger King employees reported a woman driving a gold Trailblazer went through the drive-thru smelling of alcohol at 11:21 p.m. Saturday. She was parked at the side of the building waiting for her food. Police found a vehicle, which was not exactly the same color or make and followed it, but detected no driving violations.
– A Burger King employee reported at 11:52 p.m. Saturday someone called and threatened her.
Salem
– Police responded to the 2500 block of Lexington Drive at 5:53 a.m. Sunday regarding a loud music complaint but could only hear people talking. They were asked to keep it down.
– At 6:12 a.m. Sunday, police responded to the 2200 block of Lexington Drive for a noise complaint from the same apartment and there was no music but talking. They were advised to keep it down.
– A complainant from the 900 block of South Avenue was on station at 12:15 a.m. Sunday advising he was driving south on S. Lincoln Avenue near the city limits when he heard something strike his vehicle when another vehicle passed and found the driver’s side door was damaged. Photos were taken.
– At 1:52 a.m. Sunday, police responded to the 200 block of East Fourth Street for a verbal dispute between a man and woman over her taking the children out too late. She left with the children and when she returned he would not let her in. There was no physical violence and they separated for the night.
– At 2:04 a.m. Sunday police responded to the 1300 block of Carole Drive where a truck with males in it placed cones in the road. Police located cones near the entrance to a private drive and removed them and took them to the police department for safe keeping.
– At 8:37 p.m. Saturday, police responded to the 100 block of Homewood Avenue for a golf cart driven by juveniles on the road. It was located and an officer spoke with an adult at the property to keep them off the road.
– Police responded to the 1400 block of East 10th Street at 7:56 p.m. Saturday where the complainant advised a friend’s vehicle was egged while parked over night at the residence.
– At 7:30 p.m. Saturday, police responded to the 500 block of Deming Street for a loud music complaint. The music was turned down.
– At 7:07 p.m. Saturday, police responded to the North Ellsworth Avenue and East Seventh Street area for a report of people fighting but police learned they were playing and not fighting.
– At 6:17 p.m. Saturday, police responded to North Lincoln Avenue near Sunset Boulevard and took a reports of a key fob that was found there and placed in it the lost and found.
– Police made a moving violation traffic stop in the 500 block of East State Street and identified the occupants regarding a shoplifting incident. Adam L. Tyson, 636 E. Second St., was cited for open container and the driver was given a verbal warning.
– At 10:20 a.m. Saturday, police responded to the 500 block of Aetna Street for a loud music complaint and it was turned down.
– An East Third Street resident reported Saturday they heard a noise east of the home a couple of nights ago and found three windows struck with what appeared to be BBs.
– At 12:13 p.m. Saturday, a Rose Avenue woman said her landlord placed stakes in the yard one inch away from the drive which caused her a problem when parking her truck. He then advised her to get a new vehicle. She was advised to seek legal advise and the officer could not make him move the stakes.
– At 1:14 p.m., Saturday, police responded to the 200 block of Roosevelt Avenue for a neighbor dispute over dog feces in the neighbor’s yard. The complainant was advised it was a civil matter and police were unable to contact the neighbor.
– At 1:51 p.m. Saturday, police responded to the 600 block of East Sixth Street where a person was unconscious. It was determined he hit his head against the house due to extreme intoxication and urinated in his pants. He was transported to the hospital.
– At 10:59 a.m. Saturday, police responded to South Lincoln Avenue and Franklin Avenue where a woman had fallen in the middle of the street. She was OK and was advised to walk on the sidewalk.

Wellsville
– Jill Willis, Ninth Street, reported at 9:30 p.m. March 27 her former boyfriend, a Commerce Street resident, had sent her threatening text messages and noticed him driving near her house, sometimes stopping in front of the house. Willis said she had recently ended the relationship, in which the man had not been taking it well. Willis showed an officer a text she received earlier in the day. She also said that he had threatened to vandalize her vehicle. Willis was advised to contact police if he continued his actions. Meanwhile, an officer arrived at the former boyfriend’s residence in order to obtain his side of the story, to which he was reportedly intoxicated, belligerent and argumentative upon officer’s arrival. When asked about the text messages in question, the man said that “karma was coming for her” while pounding on his chest. He also stated he had a broken heart and she would feel the same pain he feels. The man was advised that he would face harassment charges if he tried contacting her again for the rest of the night, to which he stated that he didn’t care and that he has been in jail before.
– Kristine Perkheim, 18th Street, reported at 8:15 p.m. Monday her daughter, Ashley Perrine, was at a nearby house, and while she was holding her child, a male known to her broke the window in the front door. The man was gone upon officers’ arrival. Officers told Perrine to call police with his side of the story.
– The manager of Independence Square reported at midnight Tuesday that she was told several times that Jessica Jewell was living with her mother at one of the apartment complexes, in which Jewell is on the no trespassing list. Officers arrived at the housing complex and were let in by an older gentleman, who acknowledged to police that Jewell was in the residence. Jewell then entered the living room and was asked why she was at the residence, to which she said she was sleeping. An officer advised her that she was on the no trespassing list, to which Jewell said she was not aware that she was, but also said that her probation officer knew she was there. The housing authority manager then arrived and told Jewell’s mother that Jewell wasn’t allowed on the property several weeks ago. Officers obtained the copy of the no trespassing notice, which was signed by Jewell on June 28, 2011. Jewell was taken into custody, transported to the police station and cited for trespassing.
– Police were called at 7:55 p.m. Tuesday to a Riverside Avenue residence regarding a suspicious man walking around the house. An officer saw upon arrival a man trying to drive away. A traffic stop was then conducted at the 11th Street playground parking lot, and officers made contact with Carl Payne of East Liverpool. An officer started to question Payne when a six-pack of beer was located on the front passenger seat, with one bottle already opened. When asked, Payne admitted that he was drinking. Payne was taken into custody, transported to the police station and cited for open container.
– While on patrol at 8:29 a.m. Friday sitting in the area of 17th Street and Lincoln Avenue, a resident approached police regarding a man intoxicated around the area of 15th and Commerce streets. The woman said she saw him throw a beer bottle as he was walking down the street. An officer located the man at 14th and Commerce, who was noted to be unstable on his feet. The man, identified as Zachary Lyons, Lincoln Avenue, East Liverpool, was reported to have an odor of alcohol coming from him and admitted to officers that he had been drinking and was on his way home. An officer also observed large bulges in Lyons’ jacket, to which Lyons acknowledged that he had four bottles of beer in his jacket. When the officer asked if he threw a beer bottle while walking, Lyons admitted to doing it and apologized. Lyons was taken to the police station and cited for public intoxication.

County Sheriff
– Elsie Wolfgang, Lower Elkton Road, Lisbon, reported at 9:43 a.m. Wednesday her dogs were carrying on at about 3 a.m. and in the morning she found someone had taken her hand pump and a 55-gallon drum in her barn. Items on top of a 55-gallon diesel fuel tank had also been moved and someone had removed a considerable amount of diesel fuel from the tank. She reported similar thefts happened last summer on her farm.
– Teresa Santee, U.S. Route 62, Salem, reported at 3:46 p.m. Wednesday her neighbor’s cows were loose and damaging her property along with a neighbor’s property. Deputies spoke to four property owners, who all said they have yard damage from the cattle, which continually escape Greg Courtney’s property on Salem-Alliance Road. Deputies took photos of the damages and charges are pending against Courtney, who has been warned at least twice in the past about his cattle running loose.
– At 6:04 p.m. Wednesday, Christina Zmuda, Ohio Home Care, asked deputies to check on a 15-year-old boy on Leslie Road, who was just released from United Presbyterian Medical Center. Deputies found the teen to be playing X-box with his older brother. Deputies had the mother contact Zmuda.
– Tonya Sevek, Clarks Mill Road, Salineville, reported a burglary at 7:02 p.m. Wednesday. The basement window was broken out, but she did not find anything missing.
– A possible domestic dispute was reported at 11:59 p.m. Wednesday at the home of Travis Weese, Walnut Street, Rogers. Deputies learned Weese had a knife on his ankle. He admitted to it and the tactical knife was found inside a sheath inside his left boot. He was charged with carrying a concealed weapon.
Lisbon
– Police were called to the Circle K at 8:20 p.m. Tuesday in regard to a suspicious person hanging around outside. Police spoke with the man, who said he was waiting for a ride. Police remained until the man’s ride arrived and he left.
Columbiana
– Todd Szabo of Boardman reported at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday that while exchanging child custody with his ex the night before at the state Route 7 and 14 intersection there was a verbal dispute.
– A woman reported at 8:32 a.m. Wednesday a large fully loaded green dump truck with a white cab was blowing whatever was in the back all over the road on old state Route 164. Police checked the area but didn’t see the vehicle or any debris in the road.
– Franklin Helton of New Waterford was westbound through the Pizza Hut parking lot at 11:28 a.m. Wednesday and struck Patricia Spiker of Columbiana, who was southbound through the parking lot. No citations were issue due to being on private property.
– A woman reported at 11:25 p.m. Wednesday she could hear a loud argument going on at a home on North Pearl Street but wasn’t sure exactly where it was coming from. Police found the people arguing and there were no other problems.
East Palestine
– A Circle K employee reported at 8 a.m. Thursday a man had stolen two cartons of cigarettes from the store. Charges are pending.
– Richard T. Puckett, West Martin Street, reported at 8:26 a.m. Thursday he received a forged check in the mail.
– A West Clark Street resident reported at 6:43 p.m. Tuesday that Timothy Tonkinson’s dog was running loose in the neighborhood. Police found the dog running at large and cited Tonkinson with dogs running at large. The dog was removed from the home by a Columbiana County Dog Pound employee.
– Two kids reported at 3:58 p.m. Tuesday a man in a red car was following them. Police checked the area but did not see the vehicle.

– A man reported at 3:53 a.m. Thursday two men were acting suspicious inside a car parked behind the Sparkle market on South Market Street.
East Liverpool
– City officers assisted the Hancock County Sheriff’s Department Thursday morning in apprehending Deanne J. Swinehart, Ravine Street, at her residence, charging her as a fugitive from justice. According to court reports, she is wanted in West Virginia on three counts of delivery of a controlled substance.
Goshen Police District
– A Williams Street, Beloit, resident reported at 9:57 a.m. April 4 that her wallet had been taken out of her vehicle overnight.
– An officer responded to an alarm drop in the 11000 block of U.S. Route 62 at 10:15 a.m. April 4 and determined it to be accidental.
– An officer responded to a Fourth Street, Beloit, home at 7:33 p.m. April 4 where the resident reported being harassed by his sister over the phone. An officer returned the following afternoon where the resident said his sister’s roommate on Oakwood Drive was going to sell his iPad.
– An officer responded to a downed cable line in the middle of Seacrist Road just north of U.S. 62 at 7:12 a.m. April 7.
– An officer assisted Green Township first responders with a medical issue at a 9000 block U.S. Route 62 business in Green Township at 4:38 p.m. April 7.
– An officer responded to an Egypt Road home at 7 p.m. April 7 where the resident reported juveniles damaging his roof. Officers responded for the same kind of report the subsequent two days.
– An officer responded to a Cedarwood Drive, Beloit, home at 7:27 p.m. April 7 where the resident reported her ex-husband has been stalking her for four years and recently noticed that her key was missing from her keychain, later to find it laying on her bed the next day. She said she believes her ex-husband has been entering her home and that she can no longer stand the situation.
– Police responded to a one-vehicle crash on state Route 165 near Seacrist Road at 9:54 a.m. April 9 in which Samantha J. Hoebeke, 26, Alliance, lost control of her vehicle in drifted snow and slush, traveling off the right side of the roadway, striking a culvert and overturning. Hoebeke was taken to SRMC. No citations were issued.
– Timothy Lee Kampfer, 32, Leetonia, was cited for failure to control following a one-vehicle crash at 9:37 p.m. April 9 in Goshen Township in which he was southbound on state Route 45 near Golden Lantern Drive when he traveled off the roadway and into a yard. No injuries were reported.
– An officer assisted Sebring police with a possible overdose in the 16000 block of Pine Lake Road at 1:30 p.m. April 10.
– An officer responded to an alarm drop in the 11000 block of Stratton Road at 10:10 p.m. April 10 and determined it to be a false alarm.
Salem
– A Louisville woman called at 4:39 a.m. Thursday to request police check the 1800 block of East State Street for her father driving a Chevy truck, reporting he had been driving around lost for an extended period of time and GPS on the truck showed him driving in Salem. Officers located the truck and her father pulling out of the Circle K East parking lot at 1125 E. State St. and initiated a stop. The woman’s father confirmed he was lost. He was elderly and she asked police to stay with him until family could come from Louisville to pick him up. Officers parked his truck and secured it in the Circle K parking lot and transported him to the police station where his daughter picked him up.
– Police were dispatched at 10:16 p.m. Wednesday to the area of East Seventh Street and East School Street for a dog barking excessively. An officer saw the dog and made contact with the owner who said she was bringing the dog inside.
– A possible intoxicated driver was reported at 9:55 p.m. Wednesday in the area of West State Street and Georgetown Road, but the vehicle was not found.
– Police were called at 8:23 p.m. Wednesday to the Salem Plaza parking lot on East State Street for a report of soliciting. Officers made contact with the people at a Mikel Knight bus and advised them they needed a permit to solicit. They said they would stop soliciting and move on. According to social media, Mikel Knight is a country rap artist who has teams of traveling sales people selling his CDs across the country.
– An officer responded at 7:04 p.m. Wednesday to the 1700 block of North Ellsworth Avenue for a civil matter and spoke to the person who called police and another male involved. Both were given their options for dealing with the situation.
– Suspicious activity was reported at 5:53 p.m. Wednesday in the 500 block of East Third Street where a man said a juvenile was shooting a BB gun in an alley near some houses. Officers noted no damage to any of the homes and made contact with the juvenile. He was advised not to shoot the BB gun within the city limits.
– A caller at 5:13 p.m. Wednesday reported an ATV in the road in the area of East Fourth Street and Rose Avenue. Officers made contact with the person and told him not to ride in the road.
– A reckless vehicle was reported at 4:59 p.m. Wednesday on East State Street crossing over the center line westbound from Lincoln. An officer checked State from Lincoln to Jennings and did not find the vehicle.
– An upset man was reported at 9 a.m. Wednesday at the Holiday Inn Express. He left before police arrived.

– City firefighters responded to an address in the 1100 block of West Perry Street at 12:43 p.m. Thursday after receiving a request from the Perry Township Fire Department for mutual aid for a man trapped under a car. Upon arrival, the person was self-extricated from the car and KLG was providing patient care.

– Kayla Stanley, South Morgan Avenue, Alliance, reported at 5:04 p.m. Monday someone was spray painting the bridge near the covered bridge on Teegarden. The matter remains under investigation.
Columbiana
– A Beechwood Drive woman reported at 2:28 p.m. Monday there was a gas smell in her trailer. The fire department was notified.
– Natalia Rodriguez, South Main Street, reported at 3:26 p.m. Monday someone kicked in her door and stole some items.
– Annette Leach, Camelot Drive, reported at 4:29 p.m. Monday a man she knows was going around looking inside vehicle at her apartment parking lot the night before.
– A man reported at 10:46 p.m. Monday there was a suspicious vehicle parked by a house that was under construction in the area of Juniper and Bittersweet drives. Police checked and found that the owner was picking up the vehicle from a prior incident.
East Palestine
– Police found an open window at the Boy Scout Cabin in Village Park at 12:10 a.m. Monday.
– Amanda Sergum, address not listed, reported at 3:24 p.m. Monday an older woman got out of a blue van at the elementary school and began yelling at two boys. Police checked but did not find the woman.
– A dispatcher with the highway patrol requested police assistance at 4:37 a.m. Tuesday with a one-vehicle accident on Brookdale Avenue. Police stood by until the patrol arrived. No injuries were reported.
– Casey R. Howdershelt, 20, Center Street, was cited for speeding following a traffic stop on Bacon Avenue at 9:19 p.m. Saturday.
– Matthew McDade, 19, Garfield Avenue, was cited for traffic control and signal lights following a traffic stop on Bacon Avenue at 10:55 p.m. Saturday.
– William D. Laue, 25, Evans City, Pa., was cited for speeding following a traffic stop on North Pleasant Drive at 9:52 p.m. Saturday.
St. Clair Township
– Russell White, Maple Drive, reported he arrived home April 8 after being gone since January and found a 250-pound propane tank missing.
Salem
– A man making a delivery at Super USA, 1680 S. Lincoln Ave., at 5:16 a.m. Tuesday called police after seeing damage at the building. Officers responded and discovered someone broke out the drive-thru window on the north side of the building, possibly with some type of bat or club. The owners responded and the interior was checked with nothing reported missing or stolen at the time of the report. An investigation was pending.
– An officer on patrol at 1:34 a.m. Tuesday in the 100 block of West Fifth Street saw an illegally parked vehicle and contacted the owner, telling him the vehicle needed to be moved or he would receive a parking citation. The owner moved the vehicle into a driveway.
– Loud music was reported at 12:06 a.m. Tuesday in the 2500 block of Lexington Avenue where officers asked a resident who was watching television to turn it down.
– Police received information from an anonymous source at 11:27 p.m. Monday regarding drug activity. The information will be forwarded to a Columbiana County Drug Task Force agent.
– An altercation was reported at 10:15 p.m. Monday in the 400 block of South Lincoln Avenue. Officers learned a resident invited a friend over and they got into a verbal dispute and were preparing to fight. Another resident was upset about their behavior and wanted the guest to leave. Officers spoke with the persons involved and the guest voluntarily went home to avoid further problems.
– Officers responded at 10:08 p.m. Monday to the 1100 block of West Perry Street to assist Perry Township Police with a domestic in progress. Officers arrived and found the people had departed. Perry Township Police arrived on the scene and the city officers cleared.
– A medical assist was requested at 9:57 p.m. Monday in the 700 block of Franklin Avenue. Fire department first responders and KLG came on the scene and a woman was transported by KLG.
– Police responded at 9:46 p.m. Monday to the Cranmer bridge overpass on West State Street after a caller reported seeing a man sitting on the railing. Officers checked the entire length of the bridge railing and the area surrounding the bridge and found nobody.
– A caller from the 900 block of Orchard Bend at 9:02 p.m. Monday reported a vehicle driving through the fields. Police were unable to locate the vehicle involved.
– An anonymous caller at 7:39 p.m. Monday reported an open window at a vacant building at the northeast corner of Penn Avenue and East State Street. An officer located the window which was accessible from ground level and made entry into the building through the window. A second officer responded and assisted in searching the interior of the building. Everything appeared in order. Officers were able to secure the window and door.
– Amanda Swanson, 26, of 1270 Southeast Boulevard, was cited for a minor misdemeanor charge of possession of marijuana after a traffic stop at 5:49 p.m. Monday at Jennings Avenue and West Ninth Street.
– A vehicle was reported stolen at 5:50 p.m. Monday from a driveway in the 700 block of Summit Street. The owner said the 2013 maroon Ford Escape had been taken between 1:30 and 5 p.m. The theft is under investigation.
– A domestic dispute in a vehicle was reported at 4:44 p.m. Monday in the 100 block of West State Street. No vehicles matching the description were found.
– An officer at 4:35 p.m. Monday spoke with a victim from the 400 block of East School Street regarding fraud and gathered information on suspects. The case will be turned over to detectives.
– A man in the 100 block of West Pershing Street reported at 3:11 p.m. Monday that his ex-girlfriend has been texting and harassing him over their children. He wanted it documented.
– A female fell in her residence on Superior Avenue at 2:34 p.m. Monday. Fire department first responders and EMT arrived to assist and she was taken to the hospital.
– Police were asked at 2:24 p.m. Monday to check the well-being of a man in the 2000 block of Monroe Street who made threats of harming himself. Officers were unable to make contact.
– A woman came to the station at 2:02 p.m. Monday with a driver’s license she found while walking. The license will be kept at the station until the owner can be found.
– A suspicious vehicle was reported at 1:02 p.m. Monday in the 500 block of Cedar Street. A woman said a blue Chevy Cavalier was sitting outside her residence and she wanted officers to check it out. Officers located the vehicle and made contact with the driver who said she just pulled over to check her phone and was leaving.
– A downed cable wire was reported at 12:54 p.m. Monday in the 200 block of Park Avenue. The wire was low hanging but not a traffic hazard.
– A possible scam was reported at 12:15 p.m. Monday in the 600 block of East Euclid Street. A woman said a male called from a restricted number identifying himself as an officer of the sheriff’s department. She said he hold her he had a summons to serve her and read her social security number and date of birth to her. The officer told the resident the incident appeared to be a scam.
– A male with dementia walked away from a home on Ohio Avenue and his family could not find him, contacting police at 9:16 a.m. Monday. As information was gathered, an officer on patrol found the man in the 200 block of South Lundy Avenue. The family responded to pick him up.
Perry Township
– Police responded to the 1100 block of West Perry Street for an unwanted person at 9:58 p.m. Monday. Officers stopped a vehicle leaving the area on Georgetown Road and spoke with a woman who said she was trying to break up a fight between her boyfriend and her brother. Police also spoke to both males who said they got into a physical altercation. Neither party wanted to pursue the matter.
– A DVR receiver was found on the side of the road in the 1100 block of Prospect Street at 6:47 p.m. Monday.
– A reckless driver was reported swerving off and on the road on Pine Lake Road at 6:43 p.m. Monday. Police made contact with the driver who said he was taking pictures of his dogs. He was told to stop using his telephone while driving to prevent future problems.
– A resident in the 1100 block of Stewart Road reported fraud at 5:49 p.m. Monday, saying an account was opened with a law group using her name.
– A Girard man reported at 3:18 p.m. Monday that a resident on Maryland Avenue requested insurance information and when he arrived at the residence, the homeowner ordered him off the property.
– A caller at 10:37 a.m. Monday reported a reckless tractor trailer on U.S. Route 62 at North Ellsworth Avenue. The truck was found and followed, with no violations observed.

– Steve Wilson, Y & O Road, Madison Township, reported hearing gunshots at 10:12 p.m. Saturday. Police checked the area but did not hear anyone shooting.
– Robin Caruso, South Bandy Road, Alliance, reported hearing a suspicious noise at 1:40 a.m. Saturday. A deputy arrived and checked the garage but found nothing out of the ordinary.
– Kristin Seevers, state Route 154, Lisbon, reported Saturday her father constantly texts and calls without cease. A deputy contacted the father, who was not very talkative and then made a disparaging comment about his daughter before hanging up.
Highway Patrol
– Agustin D. Ruiz, 53, West Fourth Street, East Liverpool, was cited for failure to control after he went off the road while driving on state Route 172 in Hanover Township at 10:45 a.m. Saturday. Ruiz knocked over a metal sign post, sheered off a telephone pole and struck a tree with his Dodge Ram van. He did not require treatment.
– Jessica M. McMillan, 23, Taylor Road, Negley, was cited for failure to control after she went off the road, striking an arrow sign and embankment, while driving on state Route 558 in Salem Township at 7:20 a.m. Saturday.
– Sarah I. Simballa, 21, Cream Ridge Road, Lisbon, was cited for failure to yield after striking a vehicle operated by Jennifer C. Bates, 41, South Mahoning Avenue, Alliance, while pulling out of the entrance of KSU-Salem at 12:55 p.m. Thursday. Bates was taken by ambulance to a local hospital to be examined.
– Allen R. Bixler, 50, Salem-Unity Road, Salem, was cited for failure to yield after going off the left side of the road on a bend and striking a utility pole while driving on state Route 558 in Salem Township at 10:51 p.m. Friday.
– Julia M. Landon, 25, Columbiana-Lisbon Road, Columbiana, was cited for failure to control after running over a mailbox and going into a ditch while driving on state Route 9 in Butler Township at 3:40 p.m. Friday.

– The following people were cited for driving 55 mph in a 35 mph zone on state Route 154 at Bluff Street: Samuel L. Slick, 25, of West Newton, Pa., at 10:25 a.m. Sunday; Sandra S. Stach, 46, of Parma, at 5:17 p.m. Saturday; and Lilly A. Suhody, 19, of Pittsburgh, at 10:53 a.m. Friday.
Columbiana
– A caller reported someone in a 2001 Dodge pickup truck was driving in a reckless manner at 10:16 p.m. Saturday and just pulled into the McDonald’s parking lot. An officer arrived and stopped the motorist, who appeared to be having trouble pulling the heavy load.
– Leetonia police requested help with a fight that reportedly occurred at an underage drinking party allegedly going on at 489 Columbia St. at 12:01 a.m. Sunday. The people involved were leaving by the time police arrived, and so did the officer.
Salem
– Officers responded to an 1100 block East State Street business at 4:38 p.m. Saturday where the clerk reported a man was yelling at her and other customers. The man appeared to be suffering from a medical condition, so first responders and an ambulance were requested. The man was transported by ambulance to the Salem hospital.
– Craig M. Cross, 32, 335 W. Pershing St., was cited for possession of marijuana following a traffic stop for an equipment violation in the 100 block of South Ellsworth Avenue at 8:39 p.m. Saturday.
– Officers responded to a report of a fight at a bar in the 500 block of South Broadway Avenue at 1:02 a.m. Sunday and found that the individuals involved had already separated. Officers spoke with the individuals and determined that a verbal altercation between a man and woman had escalated into pushing and shoving. They were told to stay away from each other.
– An officer responded to a 1200 block East Pershing Street home at 2:49 a.m. Sunday where the resident said a man who had been staying with him had left a bicycle there and he did not want to be accused of taking it.
– An officer responded to an alarm activation at a 100 block East State Street business at 3:12 a.m. Sunday and found everything to be secure.
– A woman reported her daughter’s ex-boyfriend had sent her text messages threatening to harm himself. An officer contacted the man by phone and he said that he was at a friend’s house and okay. Officers attempted to contact the man at the friend’s house with negative results, to which the man contacted officers and said that they had stopped by his brother’s house, reaffirming that he was OK
– Officers responded to the area of Eastview Avenue and East 15th Street at 5:30 a.m. Sunday for a report of suspicious persons walking through yards, but were unable to find the people.
– Officers responded to a 1700 block Meadowview Drive home at 6:06 a.m. Sunday where a resident reported someone had entered two vehicles on the property- one in the driveway and one in the garage. The vehicle owner, who was not home at the time, said multiple tools and a stereo amp were taken from the truck in the driveway.

County Sheriff
– Oren Smith, Grafton Road, Leetonia, reported at 5:36 a.m. April 1 that when he went outside to leave for work, he found his shed door open and his riding lawnmower gone. He last saw his mower a week earlier.
– Deputies went to a Brookfield Avenue, Lisbon, home where a woman had called KLG at 12:28 a.m. Thursday because her son had ingested something and caused his blood sugar to rise to 550. She thought he might have been drinking, but could not smell anything. The son was very talkative and his eyes were dilated. He was transported by KLG.
– Wendy Scott, U.S. Route 62, Salem, reported at 2:08 p.m. Tuesday her daughter, Rachelle George, stays with her off and on and when she went to wake George she became agitated. She began arguing with her, throwing things around, then pushed past her and left the house. She did not want to have George charged with anything, but wanted to know how to have her evicted.
– A domestic dispute was reported on Richardson Avenue, Negley, at 9:35 p.m. Wednesday. Amber McKabb told deputies she came home from work and found her live-in boyfriend, Thomas Randall Hughes II, passed out drunk. She confronted him about his drinking habits and he reportedly became aggressive toward her. Both her injuries and damage to the house were photographed.
Lisbon
– A clerk from the Circle K called at 2:11 p.m. Monday to say she believed a vehicle parked in front of the outside ice machine was responsible for damaging and breaking the machine. She said the ice machine had a large dent in the side, which she believes was caused when someone pushed the disabled white vehicle into the parking space in front of the machine. Police checked the front of the car, which was undamaged, leading the officer to conclude the vehicle was not responsible.
– A barking dog complaint was received at 520 W. Washington St. at 4 a.m. Wednesday. Police located the barking dog and told the owner he needed to take his pet inside for the night.
Columbiana
– Adriana Coleman of Rogers was in the McDonald’s drive-thru at 1:55 p.m. Wednesday and was struck from behind by Geraldine Morris of Lisbon. No citations were issued due to being on private property.
– Carly Swagger, Woodworth Road, New Springfield reported at 2:57 p.m. Wednesday Jeremiah Gallaher had been watching her dog and she wanted to pick it up but he was not wanting to give it back to her. Police accompanied Swagger to Gallaher’s home on South West Street and the dog was returned without any problems. At 3:50 p.m. Swagger reported Gallaher was threatening her on Woodworth Road, New Springfield since she contacted the police.
– Makayla Dickens reported at 8:42 p.m. Wednesday she was having trouble cashing a $4,000 check at the bank and wondered if it was a scam. Police told her it was a scam and that the check would not be able to be cashed.
East Palestine
– Dawn Carsey, North Market Street, reported at 12:29 p.m. Tuesday she was being stalked by her ex-husband.
– Patricia Wolfe reported at 1:57 p.m. Tuesday someone broke her garage window on Garfield Avenue.
– Joshua P. Andrews, 25, North Walnut Street was arrested at 5:26 p.m. Tuesday on a county sheriff’s warrant for failure to appear for a child support hearing.
– Carol Kirtley, Alice Street, reported fraud at 4:53 p.m. Tuesday.
– An East Taggart Street woman reported at 2 p.m. Thursday trash and junk were being thrown behind a neighbor’s garage.
– Robert Maxwell, East Taggart Street, reported at 2:41 p.m. Thursday a rock was thrown through his garage window.
– Dawna Brown, address not listed, reported at 10:22 a.m. Tuesday she met a man at Brittain’s Chevrolet to purchase a travel trailer and she gave him the money and he gave her the title but it does not match the one she paid for.
– A woman reported at 11:58 a.m. Tuesday she went through the McDonald’s drive-thru and there was a man in white passed out.
Saline Township
– Investigators are looking into the cause of a vehicle that went into the Ohio River on Wednesday. Saline Township police received a call around 4:43 p.m. just outside Yellow Creek Park regarding a vehicle that had gone into the river. According to reports, the vehicle was a silver Ford Escort. Police later confirmed the vehicle had been stolen. Crews pulled the vehicle from the river around 6:30 p.m.
St. Clair Township
– Officers spoke with the postmaster at the Calcutta Post Office in regard to a complaint involving mail at a home on East Liverpool Road. No other details were reported.
Salineville
– A West Main Street couple reported a barking dogs noise complaint around 5:25 p.m. March 3. Officers attempted to speak to the neighbor next door, but the neighbor was not home at the time.
– Police were advised around 4:30 p.m. March 12 that some Salineville residents may have been involved in stealing some jewelry and other precious metals while performing home improvement work in Summit County. The jewelry, after further investigation, was discovered to have been pawned or sold. The matter was forwarded to the Summit County sheriff’s office.
– Police were called at 4:48 p.m. April 1 to an East Main Street residence regarding a family member who was asked to leave due to a dispute earlier in the day, and packed his items to live with his grandmother in Carrollton. Officers stood by until all of his items were packed and he was on his way.
– Police were called around 5 p.m. Wednesday to the YWAP boys home on Hazel Run Road for a juvenile disturbance. Officers spoke to a 10-year-old boy who was behaving in an unseemly manner toward his guardians. The boy agreed to behave.
– An East End Road resident requested assistance at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday for a lockout from a vehicle. Officers were able to use a lockout kit to unlock the vehicle door.
Salem
– A man came to the police department at 2:36 a.m. Thursday and said he was turning himself in on a warrant. He was checked for warrants, with none showing active, and was given a courtesy ride to a friend’s residence.
– An officer on patrol at 1:23 a.m. Thursday saw a woman walking down the eastbound lane of East State Street near Union Avenue and noted she appeared to be walking slowly and acting lethargic. Contact was made with her and her female friend nearby. The woman was acting odd and had a fresh wound to her right hand. She said she was upset with a situation at home and punched a glass window. She also took more than the prescribed dosage of a prescription medication. Fire department first responders and EMT Ambulance were summoned and she was transported to Salem Regional Medical Center. The friend and the woman’s husband both said no violence occurred at the home.
– Loud music was reported from an upstairs apartment in the 600 block of East Sixth Street at 12:14 a.m. Thursday. The responding officer did not hear music. A television could be heard from inside the apartment building, but not loud enough to warrant a citation.
– A man in the 1100 block of East Third Street reported at 10:53 p.m. Wednesday that he was receiving suspicious messages on his phone. He was told everything seemed ok, but he could block the person sending the communications.
– Suspicious activity was reported at 8:19 p.m. Wednesday in the 300 block of West 16th Street. Lights were on in a home believed to be empty. Officers checked the building and everything appeared ok. Police had also been called there at 8:22 a.m. the same day, with the property found secure and a light on inside the back of the residence.
– Police were called at 7:44 p.m. Wednesday to Walmart on East State Street for a shoplifter who fled the parking lot in a black Nissan. The assistant manager followed the people out and obtained the license plate from the vehicle the suspects used to rapidly depart. The people had been monitored inside the store by an asset protection associate who saw them select two items in the pharmaceuticals section before walking to the toy department where the merchandise was removed from the packaging. The store associate saw one of the two people conceal the items on themselves and then they walked to the front of the store and began to leave without paying. Both the associate and the assistant store manager confronted the people at the door regarding the merchandise, however, they argued and refused to wait for police, rapidly returned to their vehicle and fled. An officer reviewed surveillance footage and obtained photos of the suspects and vehicle. The person who concealed items was positively identified, with criminal charges pending.
– A dispute over property was reported at 7:26 p.m. Wednesday in the 300 block of Rose Avenue where a female involved claimed she was injured when a door shut on her hand. Both were told their options.
– An officer was flagged down at 7 p.m. Wednesday near North Union Avenue and East Third Street and asked to check the well-being of a female in the 1200 block of East Third where a witness saw a man enter a residence with a female and thought it appeared the male was being rough with her. Officers made contact with both parties and family members. There was no problem and nothing appeared out of the ordinary, with all in good spirits.
– A man from East Fourth Street reported at 5:41 p.m. Wednesday that he was receiving threatening phone calls. An officer gathered information on the possible suspect who left a recorded message. An attempt will be made to follow up with that person.
– A dog was reported at large on Arch Street at 5:39 p.m. Wednesday. A resident was able to catch the dog and it was secured at a business on Prospect Street for the city humane officer.
– A resident in the 800 block of East Fourth Street reported at 5:15 p.m. Wednesday that a dog was continually getting loose and running around. Officers were unable to make contact with the owner, but the dog was inside the residence at that time.
– A woman in the 1300 block of South Lincoln Avenue reported at 2:21 p.m. Wednesday that she received a package from Montgomery Ward which she had not ordered. The company reported receiving a postcard with supposedly her signature on it. She said it was not her and they were sending return slips and she’s not being charged. She had questions concerning her credit card and was told to contact the credit card company. Nothing had been charged to the card at that time.
– Police were called at 2:12 p.m. Wednesday to the 400 block of East Third Street to check the well-being of a female thinking about harming herself. She told police she wasn’t receiving help from anyone and broke her rib earlier in the week. Fire department first responders and KLG were called and she was taken to the hospital.
– A property owner reported at 12:58 p.m. Wednesday that two renters left over the past weekend and they removed all the kitchen appliances, even the built-in ones, from the apartment. They were the original tenants from when the apartment building in the 900 block of West Wilson Street was built. The owner said he would contact his attorney.
– A woman on West Perry Street reported at 9:11 a.m. Wednesday that she received a harassing Facebook message. She said she contacted the felony investigation cyber crime unit and they were investigating, but told her to contact local police.
– Robert Kaufman, 79, of Salem, was cited for failure to yield after attempting to turn his vehicle east from a parking lot in the 500 block of East Second Street and getting struck by an eastbound vehicle on Second Street driven by Misty Baclawski, 32, of Canfield, at 9:03 a.m. Wednesday.
– Police responded at 8:22 a.m. Wednesday to the 200 block of East Second Street for a parking complaint in a parking lot. The vehicle was moved.
Goshen Police District
– An officer responded to an alarm drop at 11249 state Route 165 at 10:29 p.m. March 29, but the alarm was canceled.
– An Oakwood Drive, Beloit, resident reported at 7:36 a.m. March 31 her neighbors were neglecting and abusing their dog. Animal charities were contacted but unable to contact the neighbors.
– Officers were made aware of a tree in the roadway in the 14000 block of Lisbon Road at 2:19 a.m. April 1. Green Township Fire Department removed the tree.
– Officers responded to a 7000 block Pleasant Valley Drive home at 8 a.m. April 1 for a court ordered standby.
– An alarm at a 13000 block Diagonal Road location kept setting itself off throughout the day on April 1.
– Officers were made aware of a tree in the roadway at state Route 534 and Middletown Road at 5:37 p.m. April 1. Damascus Fire Department removed the tree.
– Officers were made aware of a tree in the roadway at Green Beaver Road and state Route 46 at 5:40 p.m. April 1. Green Township Fire Department removed the tree.
– An officer responded to an alarm drop at the Canfield Industrial Park on Western Reserve Road at 11 p.m. April 2 and found all the buildings appearing to be secure and no footprints or tracks of any sort visible in the snow covered driveway.
– An officer responded to a 14000 block state Route 14 home at 4:15 a.m. Sunday in reference to unwanted telephone calls. The caller was unknown to the complainant, who said she was not threatened in any way.
– Police responded to a one-vehicle crash in Green Township at 7:02 a.m. Sunday in which Rebecca L. Borosky, 28, New Springfield, was southbound in the 8000 block of state Route 14 and lost control of her vehicle, traveling into the ditch on the other side of the road. Borosky was transported by Green Township EMS to the Salem Regional Medical Center for possible injuries. No citations were issued.
– Jacob R. Cushman, 19, Salem, was cited for failure to control following a one-vehicle crash in the 6000 block of West Calla Road at 7:40 a.m. Sunday in which he was westbound and lost control of his vehicle, traveling into a front yard and becoming stuck in the ditch while trying to back out onto the road.
– Officers responded to a domestic dispute at an 8000 block state Route 165 home at 4:17 p.m. Sunday and spoke with all people involved, one of whom agreed to leave the residence.

– Jen Wendell, Carter Road, New Waterford, reported at 8:36 p.m. Tuesday she came home and found the back door window had been smashed out and her living room TV missing along with her black iPad 2 with a blue and black case.
– Charlene Sias, Elkton Road, Lisbon, reported at 9:43 p.m. Tuesday Jason Fitzsimmons accused her of stealing his keys. When she told him she did not have them, he reportedly began threatening her. Deputies told both of them to stop contacting each other.
– A semi truck driven by Mohamed M. Ben Abdelkader of Chicago turned around in a yard on state Route 170 north of Carbon Hill Road at 3:41 p.m. Monday. The driver told deputies he saw the detour sign in Negley and thought it said the road was closed in 22 miles. The sign says 2.2 miles and as he approached the closure he decided to turn around in the open area of a yard, making large ruts. He offered to pay $100 to the property owner, Ray Gollan, to repair the damages and is to send the check within three days.
Highway Patrol
– Frank D. Dawson, 47, Forsythe Place, East Liverpool, was westbound on U.S. 30 in St. Clair Township at 7:15 a.m. Tuesday and attempting to pass a vehicle and struck Shawn A. Blair, 29, West Salem Street, Columbiana, who was in the passing lane. Dawson was cited for turn and stop signals.
– Dominick M. Higgins, 20, Sebring, was eastbound on Hartley Road in Knox Township at 3 a.m. Sunday and went off the south side then off the north side into a ditch and partially rolled over. The occupants (identities not listed in the report) fled the scene. Higgins was cited for failure to control and seat belt.

A woman reported at 3 p.m. Tuesday she struck a dog on Pittsburgh Street.
Perry Township
– Police responded at 9:47 p.m. Tuesday to the 1600 block of North Lincoln Avenue for a report of unwanted persons going through back yards. A female resident said she thought she heard people on her back porch and the neighbor’s front porch. Police searched the back yards and nobody was found.
– An officer on patrol at 8:10 p.m. Tuesday saw a large amount of smoke and the smell of a possible fire in the area. Houses and back yards in the neighborhood were checked, but the officer was unable to determine the source of the smoke.
– A domestic complaint between a mother and son was reported in the 1100 block of West Perry Street at 7:41 p.m. Tuesday. Police determined the argument was verbal only and the son left for the night to a friend’s house down the street.
– Salem Police asked Perry Township officers to check on a neighbor dispute in the 1200 block of Southeast Boulevard at 7:13 p.m. Tuesday due to not having any officers available at that moment. Township officers spoke with both parties and determined it was a verbal argument only. A short time later, Salem officers arrived and handled the call.
– Police and the Perry Township Fire Department responded to the 1500 block of Highland Avenue at 1:12 p.m. Tuesday after receiving a medical alert with the homeowner unable to respond. An officer found that family members arrived before police and the family member had fallen in the tub and was unable to get out. The family member refused any medical treatment.
– Kaley Brandle, 25, of Salem, was cited for assured clear distance ahead, no license and no seat belt after her southbound vehicle on state Route 9 struck the rear of another southbound vehicle driven by Dalton Kurtz, 23, of East Liverpool, who was stopped for a traffic signal on state Route 9 at the state Route 45 bypass at 8:22 a.m. Tuesday. Brandle refused treatment for a cut to the face.
– Police responded at 4:18 p.m. Monday to the 1900 block of South Lincoln Avenue for a reported threatening message through Facebook. Police determined the message was not threatening and told the resident to ignore future messages from the person.
– A resident in the 1700 block of North Lincoln Avenue called at 10:59 a.m. Monday to report vandalism of a vehicle, but upon police arrival, the vehicle wasn’t available to be seen. The officer planned to check back later.
– Niki Madison, 30, of Salem, was cited for driving under suspension after a traffic stop at 10:47 a.m. Monday on East Pidgeon near Southridge Drive. The car was towed due to no one having a license.
Salem
– A man in the 1800 block of Pearce Circle reported at 6:16 a.m. Wednesday that he left his vehicle unlocked and someone went through it. Nothing appeared to be missing.
– An officer responded to Pennsylvania Avenue near the U.S. Route 62/state Route 45 bypass bridge at 3:55 a.m. Wednesday after a woman called to report seeing four deer jump over the bridge down onto Pennsylvania Avenue. She was on the bypass when she saw them jump and drove to Pennsylvania Avenue to check on them, finding two dead and reporting that two were injured. When the officer arrived, two were dead in the road and a third was found dead off of the road. The fourth deer was not found.
– A suspicious person was reported at 10:56 p.m. Tuesday in the 200 block of East Second Street. Police made contact with the person who said she was looking for her friend and thought the car she was attempting to enter was her friend’s car. Officers saw nothing suspicious.
– Suspicious persons were reported at 9:08 p.m. Tuesday at Dunkin’ Donuts, 2823 E. State St., but when officers made contact with the people, they saw nothing suspicious.
– Police responded at 9:01 p.m. Tuesday to the 1200 block of East Third Street where a juvenile allegedly took an excessive amount of prescription medication according to video and text messages sent to some of the juvenile’s friends. Officers made contact with the parents who were already aware of the circumstances and preparing to take the juvenile to Salem Regional Medical Center.
– Police responded at 8:16 p.m. Tuesday to the 300 block of West Fifth Street to assist Alliance Police in locating a man with a warrant. Police assisted until the man was taken into custody.
– Police were called at 7:04 p.m. Tuesday to the 2000 block of Monroe where several concerned people reported their friend had threatened to harm himself and now they were unable to make contact with him. They believed he was in the apartment, but there was no response at the door or to phone calls. All the factors dictated a necessity to make entry into the apartment, which was locked, the report said. The fire department responded and assisted in gaining entry. The person was not home, but returned while police were still there and voluntarily was taken to Salem Regional Medical Center for an evaluation.
– A neighbor dispute was reported at 7:01 p.m. Tuesday in the 1200 block of Southeast Boulevard. An officer spoke with two parties and told them to stay away from each other. Perry Township Police responded initially due to Salem units being tied up.
– A caller at 6:47 p.m. Tuesday reported an intoxicated male sitting in his vehicle at Wendy’s, 2388 E. State Street, and they feared he may attempt to drive. Officers located the man still sitting in his vehicle and told him the consequences if he drives while intoxicated in the future. Officers made sure he had a ride home.
– A reckless driver was reported driving over a curb at 6:34 p.m. Tuesday in the 2200 block of East State Street near Tim Hortons. The caller provided a description and an officer saw the vehicle leaving the area, but was unable to get behind it due to heavy traffic. The officer responded to the registered owner’s residence and left a message with a family member to advise the person about the complaint.
– A water line leak was reported in a residence at 5:59 p.m. Tuesday in the 800 block of East Third Street where an officer spoke with a person and told him to contact his landlord about the leak.
– A 17-year-old Salem boy was cited for no license and ATV operation prohibited, along with being taken into custody on an active warrant for delinquency, after police were called at 4:35 p.m. Tuesday for a report of a male driving an ATV recklessly through Centennial Park. The caller said he overheard the juveniles say they were going to a local business in the 2300 block of East State Street. Officers responded and located the ATV and its driver at Wendy’s where it was discovered the juvenile had the outstanding warrant out of Columbiana County. He was processed at the police station and turned over to a sheriff’s deputy.
– A resident from the 1800 block of Oak Street came to the station at 4:17 p.m. Tuesday to advise officers of a theft from a vehicle. Various items were stolen from the vehicle overnight. Some property was later turned in at the station and then returned back to the owner.
Goshen Police District
– Bronwen Alaine Price, 21, Leetonia, was cited for failure to control following a one-vehicle crash in the 8000 block of state Route 14 at 8:49 p.m. April 1 in which she was eastbound and slammed on the brakes to avoid stopped traffic, losing control of her vehicle and traveling off the right side of the roadway into the ditch. No injuries were reported. Her passenger, Kenneth Tyler Smith, 31, 3372 Grafton Road, Leetonia, was arrested on an active warrant out of Columbiana County.
– Ronald Lee Roepke III, 25, Salem, was cited for failure to control following a one-vehicle crash in the 12000 block of Kent Road at 6:10 a.m. April 2 in which he was westbound and failed to maintain control on a curve, traveling off the north side of the roadway and coming to rest against trees and brush in a field. No injuries were reported.
– Kevin Rivera, 21, Struthers, was cited for left of center and no driver’s license following a traffic stop at U.S. Route 62 and state Route 165 at 11:46 p.m. Tuesday.
St. Clair Township
– A loss prevention officer at Walmart reported seeing Kayla D. Clingerman, 29, Peach Alley, East Liverpool, with an infant in the infants’ department, selecting merchandise. The LPO reported Clingerman walked into the woman’s department and concealed the items in the infant’s diaper bag, went to a register, paid for some food items and left without paying for the infant clothing, valued at $89.12. Clingerman reportedly told officers she had just gotten out of a homeless shelter and stole the items because her baby was outgrowing its clothing. She was charged with theft and possession of criminal tools.
– Walmart employees reported that Ashleigh J. Perry, 33, and Blaine S. Perry III, 29, both of Anderson Avenue, Wellsville, were in the store Tuesday and Ashley Perry concealed $139.52 worth of fishing merchandise in her purse while Blaine Perry served as a lookout, then they left without paying for it. Ashley Perry was charged with theft and possession of criminal tools, while Blaine Perry was charged with complicity to theft.

– Tim Greenawalt, Hartley Road, Lisbon, reported at 10:13 p.m. Saturday his ex-girlfriend kept trying to get back with him, and was coming to his house. He did not wish to file charges.

– Crystal Dawn Wright, 18, Haessly Road, Hanover-ton, was northbound on state Route 9 in Butler Township at 10:47 p.m. Saturday and went off the right side into a utility pole. She was cited for failure to control.
– Randall S. Colian, 56, Jefferson Avenue, Salem, was eastbound on U.S. 62 in Butler Township at 1:56 a.m. Saturday and hit a deer.
Columbiana
– Jennifer Keister reported at 9:59 p.m. Saturday she was behind a possibly intoxicated driver on state Route 14 from the Wellsville area. Police checked but did not find the vehicle.
– Dean Jarvis, 24, Boardman, was westbound on Bell Avenue at 10:43 p.m. Saturday and slid through the gate at the dead end of the road due to the inclement weather. No citations were issued.
East Palestine
– Jessica E. Knechtel, Ellwood City, Pa., was cited for driving with an expired license following a traffic stop early Sunday morning on Park Avenue.
– Rachelle L. Casey, 31, Cindell Street, East Canton, was cited for speeding following a traffic stop on East Taggart Street at 6 p.m. Saturday.
Salem
– An officer on patrol at 7:14 a.m. Sunday in the 200 block of Highland noticed an open door on a vehicle. The owner said nothing appeared to be missing.
– City police assisted Goshen Township police at 4:57 a.m. Sunday with a one-vehicle accident with unknown injuries on state Route 14 near Egypt Road.
– Michael R. Mellinger, 46, Middletown Road, Beloit, was charged with OVI and speeding (39 in a 25 zone) after a traffic stop at 1:50 a.m. Sunday in the 100 block of Benton Road. His BAC measured .152.
– Officers responded with the sheriff’s office Saturday to several locations inside the city to check for persons with active warrants out of the county.
– A domestic in progress was reported at 7:32 p.m. Saturday in the 800 block of East Third. Officers spoke with both people involved and both said they had a verbal dispute and pushed each other. They were told their options and the female agreed to leave for the evening.
– Police were dispatched at 6:54 p.m. Saturday to the Cranmer bridge on West State at 6:54 p.m. Saturday regarding construction cones obstructing the roadway. Officers moved the cones to the sidewalk.
– Police responded at 6:10 p.m. Saturday to the 800 block of Barclay Avenue for a juvenile problem. An officer spoke with the juvenile involved and the parents about the process for filing unruly charges.
– Police were called at 5:58 p.m. Saturday to SRMC for a loitering complaint. A female was asked to leave the property but refused to leave. She told an officer she was waiting for her phone to be dropped off so she can call for a ride. She went across the street.
– An abandoned bicycle was found at 5:23 p.m. Saturday in the area of East Pershing and Park.
– A resident in the 1500 block of Shady Lane reported at 3:50 p.m. Saturday that someone entered his vehicle the night before. Nothing significant was taken but he wanted officers to be aware.
– Officers were dispatched at 2:27 p.m. Saturday to Jennings and West Eighth for someone creating a disturbance in the road. A male was located a few blocks away and was told to go home and stay out of the road.
– A neighbor dispute over parking issues was reported at 2:09 p.m. Saturday in the city, with the issue resolved before police arrived.
– A man came to the station at 10:42 a.m. Saturday to tell dispatch a suspect from a theft from the day before was at the library again and he was going there to get him, then he walked out of the lobby and headed to the library. An officer arrived and the victim pointed out the suspect sitting in a corner of the upstairs area. The officer spoke to the suspect who said he had the ear buds and was bringing them back to the victim. He turned them over to the officer and apologized for taking them from a table on Friday. The victim wanted charges filed, saying that he needed to learn a lesson. The officer told both the suspect and the victim that it would be up to the library director whether the suspect was restricted from using the library. The theft had been reported at 1:46 p.m. Friday.
– A woman at 8:59 a.m. Saturday dropped off a stop sign she found in the 800 block of South Union.

County Sheriff
– Someone passing by reported at 4:17 a.m. Wednesday he crested a hill on Metz Road and saw two horses standing in the middle of the road. One of the horses came to him while he was speaking to dispatch. He went to a home just east of the field, but could not raise anyone. The horses went south in the open field and he lost sight of them. Deputies spotlighted the field from the intersection south on Lower Elkton and east on Metz, but did not find the horses.
– Ken Tetemanza, state Route 14, East Palestine, reported a company named Ecoplanetenergy contacted him after he posted a resume online. The company hired him to do part-time online research. He completed a few projects they gave him and opened a bank account with BankAmercca. They were to deposit money into the account and he was to transfer the money to others in the company. Someone deposited $4,999 into the account, had him purchase two moneygrams with the money and send them to two addresses in China. He then found out it was a scam. He also had set up another account for them to deposit his pay, but no money was ever deposited. The accounts were not connected to any of his other financial accounts.
Lisbon
– Jay Farrow reported Wednesday being harassed by someone he knows while walking past that person’s home on West Lincoln Way. Police recommended Farrow taking a different route when going to visit friends down the street, and he said he would stay away from that residence.
– Dana Blackburn reported two water hole covers were flipped up on Maple Street at 7:47 p.m. Monday. Police put the covers back in place.
– A caller reported there was someone in Scott Rudder’s apartment on North Market Street at 1 p.m. Tuesday, and police went to the apartment and a woman and young man answered the door. The woman, identified as Nicole R. Rafferty, said she had Rudder’s written position to be inside and showed the officer the key. Rafferty was told to advise Rudder someone had called police to say items had been removed from the premises, but she did not know anything about that since it was her first time in the apartment.
Columbiana
– Annie Bernard, Union Street, reported at 1:23 p.m. Wednesday someone scammed her over the phone.
– A man reported at 5:29 p.m. Wednesday a bearded man in a black T-shirt appeared to have stolen something from a shopping cart from the Save-A-Lot store. Police made contact with the man and charges are pending.
– Michael Spencer, South Middle Street, reported at 6 p.m. Wednesday a neighbor’s dog was running loose and came into his yard and attacked his two dogs. Police warned Robert Macklin Jr., 46, for dogs running at large.
East Palestine
– A Park Drive woman reported at 12:40 p.m. Thursday a man and woman who lived in the upstairs apartment were outside yelling at each other and that when her daughter went outside to see what was going on the man shoved her to go back home. Police went to the apartment building but the man and woman fled inside.
– An East Grant Street woman reported at 9:56 p.m. Tuesday the water from her tap was coming out brown for 45 minutes.
– Lavonne Morena, Garfield Avenue, reported at 10:40 a.m. Wednesday three bikes and six scooters were stolen during the night.
– Carl Hunter, West Main Street, reported at 7 a.m. Tuesday a vehicle was parked in his parking space on his property. Police told him he could have the vehicle towed if it on his property.
– Barbara Hostetter reported at 11:53 a.m. Tuesday a woman she knows was standing at her car window harassing her. The woman was gone when police arrived.
– Lonnie Miller, East Clark Street, reported at 1:21 p.m. Tuesday a black and white Chihuahua entered her fenced in yard and was growling at her as she attempted to get it to leave. When police arrived the dog was out of the yard and running east on East Clark Street.
– James Hamilton, 50, Leetonia Road, was cited for speeding following a traffic stop on South Pleasant Drive at 6:22 p.m. Tuesday.
– Anna Stewart, North Walnut Street, reported at 4:34 p.m. Tuesday her ex took her ATM card while she was trying to move out.
– Randy Weber, Brushville Road, reported at 3:42 p.m. Wednesday he could see kids throwing things off the roof of the coffee shop on South Market Street.
– A woman who wished to remain anonymous reported at 11:27 p.m. Wednesday she was told a man was looking in windows on Clark Street where her sister lives.
– Police were called to a West North Avenue home at 7:44 p.m. Wednesday for a report that Brett Young was yelling at his mom. Young was gone by the time police arrived.
– Jim Tyger, Pinetree Circle, reported at 7:26 p.m. Wednesday a sump hole had fallen in again on East Taggart Street. Police were later told the hole was filled in.
– Taylor West, West Main Street, reported at 5:32 p.m. Wednesday she was moving out of the home and had until April 11 to do so but her landlord was throwing away her stuff and her baby’s clothes as well as opening her mail.
– Ryan Dissell, West Grant Street, reported at 5:24 p.m. Wednesday funds were taken from his bank account.
Salem
– A woman called at 11:49 a.m. Thursday to request a well-being check on another resident on 11th Street. The residence was in Perry Township, so Perry Township personnel were contacted to respond. Entry was gained with permission of the resident’s son, with an ambulance called for the female resident.
– A suspicious U-haul truck was reported parked in a lot at 10:01 a.m. Thursday near Waterworth Memorial Park and Superior Avenue. An officer responded and saw the truck but all appeared fine. The truck was secure and nothing appeared out of place.
– An officer at 2:59 a.m. Thursday saw a man yelling loudly at a woman in the 100 block of North Lincoln Avenue. The man said he was having problems with his girlfriend due to being locked out of the residence, but it only an argument with no physical violence. The woman confirmed the incident was verbal only. Both were told to remain quiet due to the early hour and to continue to their destination.
– Police were called at 2:02 a.m. Thursday to the 600 block of Seventh Street for a suspicious male persistently knocking on the door of a residence. He was located and identified and said he wanted to retrieve property from an ex-girlfriend’s house but she wouldn’t answer the door. He was told to leave and contact legal counsel to decide the best course of action to retrieve the property.
– A resident in the 300 block of North Madison Avenue called at 10:37 p.m. Wednesday to report hearing someone at the rear of the residence turning the rear entrance door knob. The door was locked. Officers checked around the residence in the rear yard and garage and no one was there. No one was in the surrounding area either.
– A noise complaint was reported at 10:32 p.m. Wednesday in the 900 block of South Union Avenue where a woman heard shouting. Officers checked the area, hearing nothing.
– Police responded to the 500 block of East Pershing Street for a complaint at 6:29 p.m. Wednesday of a male passing out contraceptives to random young juveniles. Officers were directed to South Lundy Avenue near Columbia where the suspect was walking away. Officers located the male, who was a juvenile who initially attempted to hide but stopped and acknowledged his involvement after being told about the complaint. An officer explained to him that it was not appropriate to be doing what he was doing. He claimed he only approached one juvenile male he knows, but according to the caller, he also approached juveniles he did not know who were not even old enough to understand what the items were. The juvenile was told he’s no longer welcome at the business. If he returns, he could be charged with trespassing.
– Ashley Aguilera, 25, of Richmond, was charged with theft after police were called to Walmart on East State Street at 5:06 p.m. Wednesday for a shoplifter. Asset protection employees said a female concealed $48 worth of merchandise before attempting to leave without paying.
– Police were called at 4:15 p.m. Wednesday to the 700 block of West Wilson Street for a report of criminal trespassing. Police found a male had been squatting in an abandoned building, but left before officers arrived. The owner of the property was advised of his options.
– A possible intoxicated driver was reported at 3:39 p.m. Wednesday at North Ellsworth Avenue and East Seventh Street, but the vehicle was not found on the road.
– An intoxicated driver was reported at 2:39 p.m. Wednesday in the area of South Lincoln Avenue and Southeast Boulevard. A vehicle matching the description was found on East State Street, but all was fine. No violations were observed.
– An officer at 10:42 a.m. Wednesday attempted contact with a city resident regarding an item found by Perry Township Police that belonged to the resident. A note was left on the person’s car on West School Street.
– Police were called at 10:35 a.m. Wednesday to the area of South Broadway and Franklin to check the well-being of a person. Officers saw the male in the parking lot/sidewalk area near Sparkle Market on South Lundy Avenue jumping around with a can of alcoholic beverage in his right front pocket. He said he would stop jumping all over and stay on the sidewalk and go home.
Perry Township
– Police were requested at 9:55 p.m. Wednesday to perform a welfare check on an elderly female who was locked out of her residence. Arrangements were made for the woman to go to a relative’s house in Sebring to pick up the spare key.
– Police responded at 2:15 p.m. Wednesday to a residence in the 1500 block of North Lincoln Avenue, along with a Salem officer at his request in an attempt to speak with a person known to stay there. The homeowner advised the person had moved out of the area.
– A resident in the 1500 block of Manor Drive reported at 8 a.m. Wednesday that someone used what appeared to be a pink “bingo dauber” to write on the front windshield and passenger side windows of his vehicle. The pink material appeared to be able to be washed off without damaging the windows.
– A caller at 6:28 a.m. Wednesday reported a vehicle partially off the road with a female slumped over the wheel on Cunningham Road. Police found the woman alert and the vehicle stuck on the soft shoulder. She denied falling asleep or having any medical problems. Police assisted in getting the vehicle back on the road.
– An officer saw an unsecured door on the Columbia Gas building on Depot Road at the township line at 1:39 a.m. Wednesday. The interior was checked with nothing appearing amiss. The door was secured by police.
East Liverpool
– Scott M. Dahl, 20, Reynolds Street, was charged Wednesday with unlawful sexual conduct with a minor after reportedly admitting having sex more than one time with a 15-year-old girl. According to reports, he met the girl at a Wellsville church three or four months ago.
– Robert J. Walker, 67, Dairy Lane, was proceeding through a stop sign on West Sixth Street when Donna V. Fryman, 70, McDonald Street, reportedly failed to stop at a stop sign, striking Walker’s vehicle. No injuries or charges were reported.
– Drew W. Cooper, Park Boulevard, reported his mail stolen, saying his bills are not getting paid and $300 is missing from his account.
– Patricia P. Rothenberg, Vine Street, reported the passenger side mirror of her parked vehicle damaged.
– Jena Whittington, 23, no address listed, was charged Wednesday with theft after reportedly concealing two sirloins worth $98.26 in her purse.
– Donald Coma, Grant Street, reported that, while he was sleeping upstairs overnight Tuesday, someone entered his home and took two electronic devices.
– William E. Barnes, 24, no address listed, was charged with criminal trespass after being found in an apartment at Woodland Hills, where he is on the no trespass list.
– Responding to reports of a man yelling on Haywood Street, officers were advised by Troy D. McCrae, 33, no address listed, that he gave Kelsey Miller, no address listed, $300 to hold for him while he went somewhere and Miller would not return the money. Miller told officers the money belonged to her boyfriend, Curtis Holland, and she put it on his commissary account at the county jail. McCrae was advised to file charges with the law director if he so desired.
