County Sheriff

– Duane McCaslin II, Wooddale Road, Lisbon, reported Saturday he has been receiving unwanted call from a Canton man, Tony Allmacie, over a work situation. A deputy called Allmacie and left a message, asking him to call the sheriff’s office. Allmacie called back a minute later and had a similar story and request. Both parties were told to quit it, and they agreed.

Daniel Bibbee, Rose Drive, Lisbon, reported Saturday someone punched one of his Blazer’s tires.

Columbiana

– Shirley Brown, Albright 2, reported at 1:09 a.m. Friday a barking dog in the area. An officer spoke with the owner of the dog, who agreed to bring the dog in for the evening.

– Police discovered a possible disabled vehicle at 1:45 a.m. Friday on Royal Brookdale Avenue. The vehicle was that of a lawn care company and wasn’t disabled.

– A Heck Road woman reported at 4:42 p.m. Friday her 7-year-old daughter ran off down the road toward state Route 7, then went to a neighbor’s house and knocked on the door.

– Tracy Spooner, Blueberry Drive, reported at 7 p.m. Friday a ring was stolen from her home.

– Robert Crespo, 27, of Lisbon was cited for driving under suspension and loud muffler during a traffic stop at 8:50 p.m. Friday on state Route 164 near Southern Terrace.

Salem

– Police responded to the 700 block of Fair Avenue at 6:44 a.m. at the request of the Goshen Township police who were looking for a woman after finding her vehicle in a ditch at state Route 14 and state Route 165. She was located and released to Goshen Township police. Her name was not provided.

– At 4:45 a.m. Saturday, police responded to the 200 block of Fair Avenue for a report of a man wanting to harm himself. After speaking with him, he voluntarily went to the hospital for evaluation.

– At 3:15 a.m. Saturday, police responded to the 1800 block of East State Street where an intoxicated driver was reported at the drive-through window. There were multiple open containers in the vehicle and the driver and three passengers were cited for open containers, a minor misdemeanour. Cited were Marra L. McFarland, 3553 E. Ellsworth Ave., Dennis R. King III, 2551 Lexington Ave., both of Salem, and Katie L. Wadlow, 1640 11th St. N.E., Massillon. They were transported home by a cab.

– At 12:03 p.m. Saturday, Thomas D. Damelio, lka 531 Aetna St., was charged with disorderly conduct persisting and taken to the county jail.

– Police made a traffic stop in the 1200 block of North Ellsworth Avenue at 2:38 a.m. Saturday and Michael S. Reynolds, 7574 Rose Drive, Lisbon, was charged with OVI and a turn signal violation and released to a sober driver. His vehicle was towed.

– Police responded to the 400 block of South Broadway at 2 a.m. Saturday to assist the highway patrol with a traffic stop.

– At 11:46 p.m. Friday, police received a report from an Aetna Street resident regarding a dispute in which the other person took a swing at him and missed. The person left the area but continued texting with harassing messages and the complainant wanted it documented.

– Police received a complaint on station at 4:20 p.m. Friday regarding a false check scam the complainant received in the mail and wanted others to be aware of the scam. Police secured the check in the evidence room.

– Police responded to the East Pershing Street and Park Avenue area along with firefighters at 4:24 p.m. Friday where an odor of natural gas was located. Columbia Gas responded to fix the issue.

– At 10:31 p.m. Friday, police responded to the 900 block of Jones Drive to assist Sebring police checking on a person with an outstanding warrant. The person was not there.

– Police responded to the 1100 block of South Ellsworth Avenue at 7:58 p.m. Friday regarding a report of a suspicious vehicle but were unable to locate it.

– Smith Oil, East State, reported at 1:12 p.m. Friday a person drove off without paying for $6 in gas when their credit card was declined. A passenger left an ID card and said they would return but did not.

– Police received a complaint on station at 2:33 p.m. Friday from a woman stating her food stamp/EBT card was stolen in another jurisdiction on Wednesday and she wanted it documented so she could get it replaced.

– A complainant was on station at 3:06 p.m. Friday regarding a fraud report and it was referred to Perry Township police .

– A purse found in the 1800 block of West State Street was brought into the station at 3:12 p.m. Friday and the dispatcher attempted to located a phone number but was unable to do so.

– Police responded to the 700 block of West Wilson Street at 3:35 p.m. Friday where the complainant advised a Crossman air rifle was stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

POLICE

County Sheriff

– Mary Arabe, Gaston Road, Negley, reported at 8:33 a.m. Friday a vehicle, which appeared abandoned, was at the intersection of Gaston Road and Fredricktown-Clarkson. Deputies found the vehicle, which was parked on Gaston Road. The vehicle, which had Mississippi plates, had not been entered as stolen and a tow truck was called. While waiting for the tow truck, a man approached and said his daughter’s boyfriend left it there due to there being a hill in either direction and his inability to climb the hills because he lacked winter tires. The man went to his home, got the keys and moved the vehicle.

– Andrew Chambers, Mill Street, Rogers, reported at 9:31 a.m. Wednesday he and the mother of his three children, ages 6, 4 and 2, are separated and both parents are homeless. He moved back in with his mother and had the children living there with him. The children’s’ mother took them last Friday for a visit and said they were going to see her mother in Chester, W.Va., He has not heard from them since. Deputies checked a few shelters and had the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office check her mother’s home.

– Eleanor Kornbau, Old state Route 154, Rogers, reported at 9:43 a.m. Wednesday she feels her neighbor has been entering her home and removing items. In recent weeks, at two different times, someone took a ham and a can opener.

– Michelle Arnold, Georgetown Road, North Georgetown, reported at 8:09 p.m. Wednesday she and her husband were arguing and she slapped him in the face, then he back handed her in the nose. He agreed with what happened. Neither wanted to prosecute the other. She left the home.

– Toni Pelmati, Rochester Road, Salem, reported at 9:13 p.m. Wednesday she returned home to find her 70-inch TV and her DVD player missing. The TV is rented through Rent-A-Center. There was no damage to the home and she believes they may have entered through an unlocked window.

– Miguel Cruz, Mountz Road, Salem, reported at 9:57 p.m. Wednesday he returned home to find two flatscreen TVs (a 42-inch and a 32-inch) and two Sony stereos missing. He believes someone entered through an unlocked door. There was no damage to the home.

– Christopher Shipley, an AT&T repairman, reported at 2:45 p.m. Wednesday someone severed and stole about 550 feet of cable from the power poles on Osbourne Road, Wellsville. The same section of cable was stolen a few years ago also.

– Deputies assisted a vehicle stuck in the roadway on Depot Road near Burtview at 2:08 a.m. Thursday. The vehicle owner’s family came and pulled her off the icy hill while deputies used their overhead lights to warn passing cars.

Highway Patrol

– Kolt James Kirbaugh, 31, Ohio Avenue, East Liverpool, was northbound on state Route 7 in Madison Township at 1:25 p.m. Thursday and went off the right side into an embankment and overturned. He was cited for failure to control.

– Lindsey M. Russell, 19, North Middle Street, Columbiana, was southbound on Teegarden Road in Salem township at 1 a.m. Monday and hit a tree in the road.

– Lawrence J. Kress, 71, Northfield, Ohio, was northbound on state Route 11 and hit a deer.

– James A. Thomas, 19, New Castle, Del., was southbound on Cunningham Road in Salem Township at 8 p.m. Monday and railed to obey a road closed sign and struck the railroad tracks that were under construction. He was cited for driving on closed roads.

– Matthew Ray McGuire, 21, East Lincoln Way, Lisbon, was northbound on U.S. 30 in Center Township at 11:37 a.m. Monday and was truck by a fallen tree and went off the right side into a guardrail.

– William R. Drake, 55, Maple Hill, Salineville, was eastbound on state route 39 in Washington Township at 2:15 p.m. Wednesday and went off the right side into a tree that was down. He was cited for failure to control.

– Logan T. Rance, 20, Crestview Road, Leetonia, was southbound on Y&O Road in Madison Township and hit a deer.

– Kenne Lee Peterson, 26, Canton, was westbound on state Route 172 in West Township at 10:40 p.m. Thursday and went off the right side into a ditch and rolled over. He was cited for failure to control.

– Chase Lucas May, 29, state route 9, Hanoverton, was northbound on state Route 9 in Hanover Township at 10:27 p.m. Saturday and went off the left side into an embankment, a fruit stand, and electric fence and then overturned. He was taken by medical helicopter to St. Elizabeth Hospital with serious injuries.

– Steven A.L. Swartz, 21, Bell School Road, East Liverpool, was southbound on state Route 45 in Center Township at 1:52 a.m. Saturday and it an embankment and continued on.

Lisbon

– Justin Miller, East High Street, reported at 7:28 p.m. Wednesday two cars were doubled parked on the road. Police located one of the vehicle owners and told him to have the car moved, which he did.

East Palestine

– Carol Rady, Wood Street, reported at 4:31 p.m. Thursday Candice L. Desanzo, East Martin Street, came to her home when she was not welcome there. Police told Desanzo if she returned to the home she would be arrested.

Columbiana

– A Tic-Toc employee reported at 6:23 p.m. Thursday a vehicle was disabled on state Route 14 near M&E Supply. Police checked but did not find the vehicle.

East Liverpool

– Esther N. Thorne, Riverview Towers, reported an aide took items from her residence. Thorne said the aide had gone to get something for her and was gone awhile. When Thorne went to find her, the aide was standing in front of her dresser.

– William H. Price reported he returned to work at his business on River Road to find someone had rummaged through his desk and several lockers, with tools missing. A rock was used to break a window to gain entry to the business.

– Raeann L. Hager, no address listed, reported she left her wallet on the roof of her car and drove off. When she backtracked, Hager found her wallet in the Devon’s Diamond area with all its contents removed.

– Kathy L. Barnes, no address listed, reported her vehicle entered while parked at Maxi’s Lunch Box on Harvey Avenue, and her wallet was stolen. Other unlocked vehicles were also entered, but nothing was taken.

– Joshua L. Boyd, 19, no address listed, reported an older man exited a truck, threw him on the ground and kicked him, telling Boyd if he tried to steal from him again, he’d shoot him.

– Curtis Burchett, no address listed, reported a Samsung cell phone taken from his car while it was on Montrose Street.

– Todd A. McGaffic, no address listed, reported his daughter’s iPad was taken while she was at Walnut Lanes on Walnut Street.

Wellsville

– Officers dispatched to the home of Rebecca Ammon, Broadway Avenue for reports that her boyfriend was breaking out windows found a fight in progress. They broke up the fight and called for an ambulance for Jason Holloway, who was bleeding from the face and head. Morgan Cox came from the residence with blood running down his arm, saying he assaulted Holloway, which was corroborated by Ammon, who said Cox broke out the windows with a screwdriver. Cox was charged with criminal damaging, felonious assault and menacing. Ammon told police Cox told her she would be next if she said anything. There was blood throughout the hallway onto the porch, according to reports.

– Officers were called by Tyler Kelly to a 10th Street residence where he is staying, saying he was being harassed by a man he knows. The man was gone when officers arrived, but a resident told them a man had been pounding on the door, yelling for Kelly to come outside.

– An officer on patrol northbound on Clark Avenue reported a vehicle driving in the middle of the highway nearly sideswiped his cruiser. He turned and caught up with the vehicle, but the report failed to note what action was taken.

– During a traffic stop at 9th and Center streets for a defective plate light, the officer reported smelling marijuana coming from the driver, Erin Heddlestun. She was cited with the plate light violation and possession of drugs of abuse after a green leafy material was reportedly found in her purse. The report included no age or address for Heddlestun.

– A vehicle driven south on state Route 7 by Todd J. Clegg, Toronto, slid due to icy conditions, ending up northbound against the median divider. Neither he nor his passenger were injured.

– Officers responded to an accident during which the driver, Robert L. Reed, Broadway Avenue, reportedly was southbound on Main Street, lost control on ice and struck a parked vehicle owned by Deborah Jane Heiney, 7th Street.

– Officers responded to an 8th Street residence for an apparent drug overdose where another resident had poured cold water on the victim and was rubbing his chest in an attempt to revive him. Officers assisted the other resident in giving the sternum rub until Tri-County Ambulance arrived on the scene and transported the man to the hospital. Officers reported finding no drugs or drug paraphernalia in the bathroom.

– A clerk at Rich Oil, Third Street, reported a white man with tattoos on his hands and neck came in to buy beer, but when told he could not buy beer, the man told the clerk to “call the police,” and ran out with two 30-packs of beer, getting into a white Chevy SUV.

– Ryan Talbott and Kalijha Talbott, both of Salineville, reported being assaulted at My Bar by a man while sitting at the bar and speaking to the bartender. They said the bartender’s ex-boyfriend came in and struck each of them in the head with his fists multiple times. They subdued him, and he was told to leave the bar, which he did, kicking the front glass door with his boot and shattering it. Ryan Talbott had visible injuries to his face. Officers went to John Shreve’s home on 1st Street and placed him under arrest with two counts of assault and one count of criminal damaging.

– Gerald Bryant, no age or address listed, reported to Magistrate Court for his appearance and an officer noted he had slurred speech. After court, Bryant was asked what he was on, and he said he had had a couple shots of Black Velvet. He was taken into custody, although reports did not indicate the charge.

– Officers were called to Shoub Towers for a man in need of medical attention. They found a 49-year-old man on the floor, overdosed on medication. He was transported to the hospital by Tri-County Ambulance.

– Cheyenne Anderson, Chester Avenue, reported her stepfather was causing problems at the residence, but he had left prior to officers’ arrival and could not be located. A second call came in that he had returned, and officers found a vase broken and other items thrown throughout the kitchen. They charged Mark Kireta with disorderly conduct.

– Responding to 8th and Maple Alley for loud music, officers served Joseph Merriman a summons for disorderly conduct due to having been to the residence several times for the same complaint.

– Officers were called by Don Croskey, Clark Avenue to remove Tracy Daniels from his home, where she had been allowed to stay a few days. They reported Daniels was found standing at the top of a staircase and refused to come down when told by officers, telling them to “come up and get me.” She was charged with persistent disorderly conduct.

– Luke Shockley of Lisbon reported being stalked by an Irondale man, who left a note on his car indicating he is attracted to Shockley and would like to meet him. He said the man has been leaving similar notes on and off for a year, causing him mental distress. An officer called the man and advised him to stop any contact with Shockley or face criminal charges, and the man agreed.

– Candy Ammon, Beech Alley, reported her vehicle entered while it was parked behind her home. Items taken from the vehicle were located in Clover Alley except for her EBT card.

– Nakita Miller, 18th Street, reported her home entered through the rear door, which was locked when she left for work. Nothing was missing.

– Patricia Gibson, Wood Street, reported someone drove through Cedar Alley and through her yard, tearing up the yard.

– Donald Brown, Sixth Street, reported all four tires on his vehicle punctured.

– Officers responded to a Broadway Avenue residence for a drug overdose where they found one woman passed out on a couch and another on the floor. The woman on the couch was breathing, but the one on the floor was not and had a short straw-like item with white powdered residue on it clenched in her hand. The officer gave the woman a sternum rub and she gasped. Both were transported by ambulance to the hospital. Jessica Morris, the woman on the floor, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.

– Nikita Miller, 18th Street, reported being assaulted by Tiffany Franklin after Franklin yelled at her for letting off fireworks. Miller said she was not letting off fireworks and an argument ensued, ending with Franklin striking her in the eye. Franklin was charged with assault.

Salem

– Police were called at 10:04 a.m. Friday for a suspicious person in the area of Homewood Avenue and Aetna Street where a caller reported a man said he wanted to shovel her snow, but had no shovel. He was described as having a thin build wearing light blue jeans, a reddish hat and dark blue jacket with a crazy look in his eyes. He could not be found.

– A domestic dispute was reported at 9:46 a.m. Friday at a city residence where a woman said she and her husband had an argument. He left before police arrived and she was advised of her options.

– Police were called for an alarm at Zinz Construction on Salem Parkway West at 6:26 a.m. Friday. Officers found an unsecured door and checked the interior of the building, but nobody was found inside. A keyholder responded.

– An officer on patrol at 2:19 a.m. Friday was stopped by a motorist who advised of a problem at Circle K, 780 W. State St. An officer responded and spoke with a clerk, finding a customer was concealing items. The officer spoke to the person who turned over the items to the clerk and was told by both the clerk and the officer that he wasn’t allowed to return to the store.

– Police responded to the 100 block of West Fifth Street at 7:04 p.m. Thursday for a person to be removed from a residence. The person told officers he was leaving to stay with someone else.

– Police were called at 6:49 p.m. Thursday to Walmart on East State Street for an intoxicated person. The person was identified and an officer called a local cab company to take him home.

– A domestic dispute was reported at 1:57 p.m. Thursday in the 500 block of North Ellsworth Avenue where loud persons were alleged. Police discovered a male and female yelling over some personal matters. No violence or harm occurred. The male left the residence with the children.

– A gray truck was reported operating recklessly in the area of Monroe Avenue at 1:54 p.m. Thursday. The vehicle was not found.

– A man in the 1100 block of East Third Street reported at 12:57 p.m. Thursday that a bicycle was left on his property. The bicycle was brought to the police station.

– A reckless operator was reported in a blue Ford minivan coming into the city at 10:42 a.m. Thursday on Benton Road. The vehicle was not located in the city.

– A woman reported at 8:18 a.m. Thursday that she believed a known male entered an apartment in the 2500 block of Lexington Avenue, clogged the drains and left water running to flood the apartment. The person also put unknown cream all over the resident’s clothes.

– Police were dispatched at 8:11 a.m. Thursday to Carole Drive to assist the Ohio State Highway Patrol in making contact with someone. The person was told of a traffic stop involving his vehicle and was asked to report to the scene of the traffic stop.

County Sheriff

– Michelle Arnold, Georgetown Road, North Georgetown, reported at 8 p.m. Wednesday she and her husband Lee were fighting and during the argument she slapped him in the face and he then backhanded her in the nose. Both declined to press charges.

– Toni Pelamati, Rochester Road, Salem, reported at 9:13 p.m. Wednesday she returned home to find her Sharp 70-inch flat screen TV missing along with her DVD player and believed whoever did it came through an unlocked bedroom window.

– Miquel Cruz, Mountz Road, Salem, reported at 9:57 p.m. Wednesday he returned home to find two TVs missing and two stereos missing and believed whoever did it came into the home through an unlocked door.

Columbiana

– Police checked on a suspicious vehicle at the Wine Connection on state Route 14 at 2:20 a.m. Wednesday. There were no problems.

– Tim Yarian reported at 7:26 a.m. Wednesday someone stole construction equipment from a work site on County Line Road.

– A woman reported at 10:13 a.m. Wednesday hearing what sounded like gunshots coming from the area near old truck stop on state Route 14 across from ME Supply. Police found Dominic Cioffi target shooting with a .22 rifle in the back of the old Firestone garage. He was warned to cease all shooting in city limits. He told police he was unaware he was shooting within city limits.

– A Cimarron area woman reported at 11 a.m. Wednesday a suspicious black Toyota was in the area and she did not answer the door when the person came onto her porch and the person then got back inside the vehicle and sat for a few minutes and then left. Police told the woman they had also seen the vehicle earlier and it had government license plates.

– A Radio Shack employee reported at 11:48 a.m. Wednesday three people who were acting suspiciously there on Tuesday had returned to the store. Police found the people in a vehicle and stopped the driver, Joshua Gatewood, 24, of Austintown, and he was then cited for driving under suspension.

– Robert Timmons reported mail fraud at 4:23 p.m. Wednesday.

– A man reported at 7:17 p.m. Wednesday he delivered a pizza to a home on North Middle Street and the dog there was barking at him.

– A man reported at 10:43 p.m. Wednesday he saw what appeared to be a flashing light shining around the front door of a home on Kingwood Drive. Police checked and found no problems and notified the homeowner of the report.

East Palestine

– Amanda L. Hickman, West Clark Street, reported at 2:47 p.m. Wednesday there were fraudulent charges on her bank account.

Highway Patrol

– Avis C. Beadnell, 74, state Route 644, Salineville, was northbound on state Route 644 in Franklin Township at 9:50 a.m. Saturday, lost control and went off the left side into a fence post and came to rest in a field. She was cited for failure to control.

– Kris M. Fender, 32, Dresden, and James R. Miller, 57, Newton Falls, were westbound on U.S. 30 in Center Township at 2:40 p.m. Tuesday and Fender failed to yield making a right turn and was struck by Miller. Fender was cited for failure to control.

Salem

– At 2:55 p.m. Thursday, police responded to 556 Aetna St., regarding a domestic and determined the primary aggressor was Mary A. Barber, who was charged with domestic violence and taken to the county jail.

– Smith Oil, East State, reported an $8.02 drive-off at 4:09 p.m. Wednesday.

– At 4:53 p.m. Wednesday, an officer was flagged down in the on Maple Street near Park Avenue and the complainant advised of suspicious activity at the Walgreens where several people entered and a woman purchased Sudafed and another from the group purchased more Sudafed products and they got into separate vehicle and drove to the Rite Aid store. A description and license plate numbers were provided and the information will be followed up on and given to the drug task force.

– A breaking and entering was reported at 6:01 p.m. Wednesday in the 900 block of West Pershing, but not names were provided.

– Police responded to the Ohio and East State area at 8:38 p.m. Wednesday regarding a report of an assault. A man had minor cuts on his face and advised he was struck by a man known to him during an argument over money. No names were provided.

– Police responded to the 1200 block of Cedar Ridge at 11:47 a.m. Wednesday where the complainant advised the right rear wheel and tire were stolen from his garaged vehicle which was left on the jack. The complainant backed up and the vehicle slammed to the ground. The man was not identified.

– A woman reported at 9:21 a.m. Wednesday she was advised of winning $250,000 from Publishers Clearing House and was to meet the caller at her bank that and provided two checks, one for $7,391 and $6,278, made out to the Manager Account Department and he would follow her home and present her with the $250,000 check. She contacted police and the detective division advised her it was a scam and found the man called, possibly from Jamaica. The complainant was advised to tell the person she made a police report and not to call again if he called.

Perry Township

– At 7:54 p.m. Wednesday, police spoke to a complainant in the 500 block of Wisconsin regarding an identity theft/fraud report. The complainant advised that $808.60 had bee taken from a bank account over five different transactions. The complainant already had the bank card canceled and wanted a report made.

– While eating at an establishment in the 1800 block of East State at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, saw Dave A. Crom, Stewart Road, drive by and make what appeared to be a taunting and obscene gesture. The officer returned to the cruiser and initiated a traffic stop after observing him pull into a fast-food restaurant parking lot. Crom was cited for driving under suspension. The vehicle was driven from the scene as he had limited driving privileges which gave the officer permission to allow him to drive back to his residence.

– At 5:08 p.m. Wednes-day, police responded to the 1900 block of state Route 9 for a report of littering. The complainant advised mail had been torn apart and thrown in his yard. Police responded to the 1800 block of Hearthside Drive and returned the mail to the owner. The man was not identified.

Salem Township

Hypodermic needles were found Tuesday in a port-a-jon at the bike trail on Route 558.

Lisbon

– Firefighters were called to a smoke detector going off at 113 Exchange St. at 4:45 p.m. Wednesday.

Police

County Sheriff

– Dorothy Zimmerman, Slater Road, Salem, reported at 8:24 a.m. Wednesday sometime overnight someone damaged her mailbox. The red flag was torn off and someone attempted to tear off the door, because there was a big hole in it. A neighbor’s mailbox was also reported laying on the ground.

– After calling deputies at 3:37 a.m. Tuesday to report someone she knows has her vehicle and calling again at 5:43 a.m. to report arrangements were being made to have the vehicle returned, Diana Marquis, Randel Road, Hanoverton, reported later Tuesday she still had not gotten her vehicle back. Deputies and found Justin Temple at the home of Rick Carter on West Main Street, Wellsville, and with the assistance of the Wellsville police took him into custody on an unauthorized use of a motor vehicle charge. Marquis was informed where her vehicle was located so she could retrieve it.

– Heather Madison, Grafton Road, Leetonia, reported at 6:36 p.m. Tuesday her 15-year-old daughter was threatened by a 15-year-old boy using Facebook and Facebook messenger. Deputies contacted the boy’s case worker from Mahoning County Children Services, who said he is missing from their county and she believes there is a pickup order for him when he is located. Leetonia police were also alerted in case of a problem at Leetonia schools.

– Kelly Sprouse, Y Camp Road, Lisbon, reported at 7:17 p.m. Tuesday she believes animals in the area are being poisoned. About 10 days ago she found her dog sick lying in the pasture. The vet was unable to save it and found it had been poisoned with anti-freeze. Sprouse spoke to her neighbors and learned two of their dogs were also found dead with an empty anti-freeze container found laying next to their driveway. On Tuesday another neighbor’s two dogs were missing.

Highway Patrol

– Madison L. Muscari, 16, Birch Road, East Liverpool, was cited for failure to yield after pulling in front of a vehicle being driven by Beverly J. Cain, 61, Old Fredericktown Road, East Liverpool, resulting in an accident, which occurred on state Route 170 in Calcutta at 10:10 a.m. Sunday.

– Kayla D. Maines, 22, Old Irondale Road, Wellsville, was cited for failure to yield after she ran a stop sign, resulting in an accident with a vehicle driven by Charles F. Joy, 77, Sprouse Road, Wellsville. The accident occurred at the intersection of Sixteen School and Old Irondale roads in Yellow Creek Township at 1 p.m. Saturday.

– Teresa E. Vest, 43, Spillway Road, Lisbon, was cited for failure to control after driving left of center and striking a vehicle driven by George E. Buie, 73, Pass Lane, Lisbon, on Depot Road in Salem Township at 8:15 p.m. Saturday.

– Thomas J. Phillips, 58, Eastview Drive, Salem, was cited for failure to control after he slid off the icy roadway and into a utility pole while driving on state Route 45 in Perry Township at 9:30 a.m. Saturday.

– Judy L. Stevens, 42, Steubenville Pike, Lisbon, was driving on Steubenville Pike in Center Township at 11:15 a.m. Saturday when her vehicle was struck by a white SUV that lost control while they were passing each other on a bridge. The driver of the SUV kept going.

– James A. Mellott, 40, Alderlick Road, Wellsville, was cited for failure to control after he went off the road in his Escape, struck a utility pole and overturned. He was driving on state Route 45 at Mick Road in Yellow Creek Township at 11:40 p.m. Saturday.

Lisbon

– Hayden R. Miller, 21, was cited for OVI, speeding, marijuana possession and possessing drug paraphernalia (rolling papers used to make marijuana cigarettes) following a traffic stop at 12:55 a.m. Wednesday.

– Deshawn J. Coles, 18, rear Thompson Avenue, East Liverpool, was cited for improper backing after he backed into a vehicle driven by Norma Smail, 69, Elmwood Drive, Lisbon, on North Park Avenue at 3:04 p.m. Friday.

– Clint Reynolds, 37, reported he is in the process of moving into a new apartment on East Lincoln Way, and on Tuesday afternoon he arrived to find a man urinating in his bathroom toilet. Reynolds said he ordered the man to leave. The man began acting in a threatening manner, so he called police. Reynolds then followed the man on foot until an officer arrived and was able to identify the suspect as Timothy W. Wamsley, 32, who was arrested for criminal trespassing.

Columbiana

– A worker at the Radio Shack reported Tuesday there was a man in the store who had shoplifted from there before, but the man left before an officer arrived.

-A disabled vehicle was reported on the Pittsburgh Street railroad tracks at 6:23 p.m. Tuesday. An officer arrived and found the motorist had the help needed to move the vehicle.

East Palestine

– Zakary K. Brockman, 20, East Martin Street, reported Monday $64 had fraudulently been withdrawn from his checking account.

Liverpool Township

– Responding to reports of a fight on Ruth Street, an officer spoke with Shane McCutcheon, who said a man staying at his mother’s house had smeared feces on the walls of his bedroom. McCutcheon said when asked him to clean the room, the man refused and began to fight him, so McCutcheon shoved him. The man refused to clean up the room in the officer’s presence and he was advised to stay away from McCutcheon and to abide by the house rules.

– Officers responded to a Ruth Street residence where postman Jack Ross had been bitten by a dog. The dog warden was called and said she would respond the next morning to speak with the owner, but the dog should be kept inside.

– David J. Anderson Jr., no age or address reported, was taken into custody at the home of his father, David J. Anderson Sr., who had called to have officers remove him. The younger Anderson had an outstanding warrant for his arrest.

– Sarah R. Lowe, 32, Sturgis Avenue, was southbound on Lisbon Street when a northbound vehicle driven by Andrew M. Modany, 20, 8th Avenue, reportedly turned left onto 7th Avenue, striking the front of her vehicle. The impact caused Lowe to strike a vehicle driven by Michael C. Capito, 31, 7th Avenue, who was stopped at the intersection of Lisbon Street and 7th Avenue. Modany was cited for failure to yield.

– Brian D. Whitson, 51, East Liverpool Road, was northbound on Dresden Avenue when his vehicle went off the right side, spun around and struck the former Cafe 24 restaurant building, damaging his vehicle as well as the side and stairwell of the structure.

– Responding to the home of Donald Board, Campground Road, Wellsville, for a report of his mailbox being vandalized, an officer found numerous others damaged, as well, on Annesley Road, Kountz Avenue and Shadyside Avenue. About 34 mailboxes were found damaged among the various roads, according to reports. Board told officers he hear a vehicle with a loud exhaust during the night and what he thought were backfires must have been someone hitting his and his mother’s mailboxes.

– William Kozel, Crestview Drive reported his mailbox was discovered damaged by his mail carrier. Fast food wrappers had been placed inside the plastic mailbox and set afire.

– Al Gloeckner, Phyllis Avenue, Chester, W.Va., reported a burglary at a garage at 2238 Dresden Avenue, where a door was pried. Taken were a zero turn mower, push mower, two 24-foot walking boards and a six-foot ladder.

– Jason Moore, Annesley Road, reported his son’s tree stand stolen from his property. He told the officer this is not the first time things have been stolen from his property, and he is tired of it.

Salem

– Clay Smith, 19, of Canton, was cited for a traffic control device violation and possession of marijuana after a traffic stop at 1:35 a.m. Wednesday on West State Street.

– Bradley Vingle, of Southeast Boulevard, reported at 2:02 p.m. Tuesday that someone entered his unlocked vehicle and removed an off-market CD player from the dash. He said he never leaves the vehicle unlocked and this one time he forgot.

– An officer was requested at 1:44 p.m. Tuesday to check the interior of a residence that’s supposed to be vacant on Sixth Street. No one was found inside. The water was turned off two weeks ago by the utilities department and neighbors were told to call police if anyone is seen in the house. Per the housing inspector, no one is to be in house because it’s posted as unfit for human habitation.

– An officer on patrol at 5:27 a.m. Wednesday heard a car alarm going off behind the old Yard Bark building on West State Street. The owner of the car was having problems shutting off the alarm, so the officer gave assistance.

– Police were called at 1:48 a.m. Wednesday to the 400 block of North Ellsworth Avenue for a domestic dispute. A man said he was in a minor altercation with his wife. Officers did not see any physical injuries on either party and told both about the domestic violence laws. The man left to cool down.

– A reckless driver was reported in the 2500 block of Lexington Avenue where a red quad cab Dodge pickup ran a stop sign and then followed a woman to exchange words at 7:02 p.m. Tuesday. The pickup left before police arrived.

– A Salem woman came to the police station at 4:03 p.m. Tuesday to file a harassment report, saying a female known to her has called several times asking to buy her prescription medications. She was told her options and said she’s contacting the female to tell her she’s not selling her medications and if the harassment continues, she’ll call police.

– A resident in the 900 block of South Lundy Avenue reported at 3:43 p.m. Tuesday that a neighbor, who is a relative, got into an argument and threw an orange at him, breaking Christmas ornaments in the front yard. The other person was not home when police tried to make contact.

– An officer responded at 3:19 p.m. Tuesday to the 400 blokc of Washington Avenue for a missing person report, but located the person in question walking west on East Pershing Street while enroute to Washington. Due to the person being deaf, the officer could not communicate with him, but he had an identification with the address listed. The officer took him to that address.

-A woman from Steubenville called at 2:55 p.m. Tuesday to request a welfare check on her daughter on East Perry Street. An officer checked the residence and the female and others there said everything was fine.

Police

County Sheriff

– Marcus Morlan, County Airport Road, East Liverpool, reported at 11:25 a.m. Monday he has a protection order on Shane Bogle, but Bogle has been sending him text messages. Morlan only wanted a report on file.

– Diana Marquis, Randel Road, Hanoverton, reported at 3:37 a.m. Tuesday she allowed Shantel Temple to use her car to take Luke Warden to the East Liverpool City Hospital at 7 p.m. on Monday. Justin Temple rode along with them. After they arrived at hospital Shantel Temple called to ask if Justin Temple could use Marquis car and she agreed. At 10 p.m., Warden was discharged and Justin Temple called Shantel to say he was on his way, but got pulled over by city police. It was found this did not actually happen. Marquis filed a stolen vehicle form. At 5:43 a.m. Tuesday, Marquis reported Justin Temple had contacted Shantel to tell her he is in Wellsville somewhere and they are going to make arrangements to give her the vehicle.

– A man reported suspicious activity on McKee Road just north of 10th Street Extension in Wellsville at 1:19 p.m. Monday. A car had been sitting off the roadway with two people inside. Deputies spoke to Julie May and Christopher McKay, who said they were just sleeping in the vehicle and had no where to live. K-9 Jessy hit on a jacket in the vehicle, but no drugs were found in the coat at this time. They had no warrants. They were told to find somewhere else to park.

– Randel Hetrick, Fairfield School Road, Columbiana, reported at 6:58 p.m. Sunday he was talking to his brother, Russell Hetrick. His brother’s girlfriend started running the sweeper so his brother could not hear him talking. Hetrick said he unplugged the sweeper and the girlfriend, Mary Slider, began choking him. He pulled away from her and went upstairs. Then he called his sister and the deputies. The matter is under investigation.

Lisbon

– Christina Harvey, Saltwell Road, called for assistance at 8:17 p.m. Monday. Harvey was alert but wanted to go to the hospital, so the officer remained until an ambulance arrived.

– Police were called to a home on West Pine Street at 3:30 p.m. Monday because a man there was having bad thoughts and needed medical assistance. An officer remained until an ambulance arrived to transport the man to a local hospital.

– Henry Landerberger reported at 4 a.m. Monday having a road-rage encounter with another motorist. Landerberger said he was pulled over near the Steel Trolley Diner when another vehicle began driving too close for comfort, so he honked his horn. The other motorist began honking and apparently followed him to state Route 154, exited his vehicle and began taunting Landerberger, who drove on to the county sheriff’s office.

– A caller reported seeing a man sitting by a dumpster at the county juvenile court/school complex at 4:20 a.m. Monday. The man was gone by the time police arrived but he was later found walking on South Lincoln Avenue and identified as Corey Libert, who said he had left his home to avoid his wife.

Columbiana

– A woman reported at 10 a.m. Monday someone in a white pickup truck was at the city’s recycling bins and was taking out items. Police checked, but there was no one there.

– A woman reported at 2:49 p.m. Monday there was a suspicious truck at the Dairy Queen when it was closed. Police found it was a Columbia Gas employee doing work there.

– A man reported at 6:14 p.m. Monday an electric wire was down on North Pearl Street. Police found it was in a yard and notified the electric crew.

– A man reported at 10 p.m. Monday a dog was barking at a home on North Elm Street and his kids couldn’t sleep. Police checked the area but did not hear or see anything. The dog owner was warned after police received a second complaint and the man told police he believed his kids had taken the dog inside. Police did not identify either man.

– Mayakayla Dickens, South Vine Street, reported at 11:54 p.m. Monday she was in a dispute with her mother.

East Liverpool

– A man came to the police station Monday to report finding several guns in a wooded area off of State Street in the city’s East End. Captain Patrick Wright took possession of the weapons and found after an NCIC check that one of them had been stolen out of Midland, Pa. The weapons included a Mossberg .22-caliber rifle, a Marlin .22-caliber rifle and a Mossberg .12-gauge pump shotgun.

– Amy L. Crummitt, 40, no address listed, reported being punched at Berdine’s Bar by a woman she knows. She was advised the procedure for filing charges.

– Charles R. Lewis, Florence Street, reported returning home to find the door wide open and items missing. A witness reported seeing a “Mexican-looking” man leaving the house with two televisions, and Lewis told officers a man had spoken earlier to his girlfriend and knew no one would be at the house. Officers went and spoke to the man, who denied being in Lewis’ home, and a search of his home turned of none of the missing items.

– Lacee Porter, no age or address listed, reported her boyfriend saw a man she knows pick up her coat at the Cove Lounge and try to walk out with it. When she later checked, her wallet was missing from the coat.

– The owner of PC Doctors on East Fifth Street reported a customer came in with his girlfriend, and while she was talking to an employee about her medical dog helper, the man evaded security cameras and walked out with two laptop computers.

Salineville

– Tara Adams, West Main Street, reported at 7:56 p.m. Saturday her wallet with $200-300 went missing. Adams later found the wallet, with the money and items intact, just before an officer’s arrival.

– Police were called at 9:39 p.m. Saturday to assist Life Team Paramedics at an East Main Street residence after a boy fell from the bassinet to the floor. The boy was taken to the hospital by his grandmother.

– Darla White reported at 8:47 p.m. Sunday, after assisting her elderly father at his Wood Street residence along with Donna Bridge, she discovered her vehicle was broken into and items stolen. About 90 minutes later, Bridge also reported her car broken into. The matter remains under investigation.

– Paul Alford Jr., East Main Street, reported at 2:02 p.m. Sunday someone did damage to his white vehicle. This matter is still under investigation.

Salem

– Police responded to 110 Benton Road at 6:12 p.m. Monday where a 1998 Jeep rolled over and the driver, Robert E. Scullion, 1610 state Route 344, Salem, was taken to the hospital as a precaution, but said he felt OK. The accelerator stuck as he was backing out and the vehicle struck an unoccupied vehicle and veered off the road, over railroad ties and down a small embankment and overturning one-and-a-quarter times, coming to a rest on the passenger side. The driver had a seat belt on.

– Police responded to the 1200 block of Southeast Boulevard at 8:18 a.m. Friday where the complainant advised that during the night their vehicle that was parked in front had a water-proof, dash-mounted stereo taken from the Jeep. Entry was made through a side plastic window. No names were provided.

– At 11:48 a.m. Tuesday, a gold-colored purse that was left in a business for a couple of weeks was dropped off at the police station. The owner will pick it up.

– Police responded to the 2100 block of Monroe Street at 7:11 a.m. Tuesday where the complainant advised seven to eight dollars in change were taken from their vehicle overnight.

– At 5:09 p.m. Monday, police responded to the 2900 block of East State Street where a person wanted a dead deer from the side of the road and police issued the papers releasing the deer to him.

– At 5:16 p.m. Monday, police responded to the 900 block of West Pershing Street for a report of a breaking and entering where the complaint’s front door was forced and there was damage to the door frame.

– At 7:39 p.m. Monday, police responded to Sharp Avenue and West Pershing Street for a report of an individual yelling obscenities but were unable to locate anyone.

– Police responded to the railroad crossing at New Garden Avenue at 8:10 p.m. Monday where the northside crossing gate was in the down position. Norfolk Southern was advised.

– Police responded to North Lincoln Avenue and Parkview Dr. at 10:54 p.m. Monday to assist Perry Township police with a man who had been violent in the past.

– Police responded to the 1300 block of Jennings Avenue at 1:29 p.m. Monday for a report of a downed tree in the back lane. A tree fell onto a house further up the road in Perry Township with significant structural damage.

– At 11:30 a.m. Monday, police responded to the 2500 block of Lexington Drive where the complainant advised his car was keyed with a derogatory word on the back hatch. The complainant had been having problems with her ex-husband and felt he did it. Photos were taken and she was advised of the procedure in obtaining a protection order.

– At 8:38 a.m. Monday, police responded to the 200 block of North Lincoln Avenue where the complainant said it appeared someone tried to gain entry to a building by opening the screen on a window. No damage was observed.

– Police responded to the 1900 block of Southeast Boulevard at 12:27 p.m. Monday where a branch from a curblawn tree fell on the top wire of a light post in front of the complainant’s house. Ohio Edison was advised.

Perry Township

– Police responded to the 2200 block of North Lincoln Avenue at 11:08 p.m. Monday for a domestic complaint. The victim said her boyfriend threatened to kill her during a phone conversation. Police located him walking toward the residence and he was taken into custody without incident and charged with 4th-degree domestic violence. He was taken to the county jail.

– Police responded to the 1300 block of Elberon Avenue at 10:31 p.m. Monday for a report of a burglary in progress with a person attempting to enter the front door. The complainant believed it to be her ex-husband and police searched the area but were unable to locate anyone.

– Police responded to an accident at the Cunningham Road railroad crossing at 8:57 p.m. Monday and assisted the highway patrol. A vehicle drove around the road closed signs at the tracks and got stuck on the tracks. Police stood by until the highway patrol advised they were no longer needed.

– While on patrol at 2:40 p.m. Monday in the 1100 block of Elberon Avenue police observed two people at a foreclosed residence. Darrien Eugene Rivers Underwood, Youngstown, had an outstanding warrant from Trumbull County for drug paraphernalia and was taken to the county jail for further transport to Trumbull.

– Police responded to a resident in the 1700 block of Allen Road at 7:17 a.m. Monday regarding an ongoing problem with her husband, from whom she is separated. She was advised of the options.

POLICE

County Sheriff

– A 15-year-old girl visiting her father’s family on Forbes Road, Wellsville, at 5:20 p.m. Sunday reportedly refused to put down her cell phone and when her grandmother attempted to take it from her, she allegedly kicked both her grandmother and grandfather and bit her father in the finger when they were attempting to restrain her.

– Jonathan Gruscecki, Longs Crossing Road, Leetonia, reported at 4:02 p.m. Sunday sometime in the past week someone may have shot at his home. He found a half-inch circular hole in the back of the house near his electric box.

– Kilena Clutter, Akron, reported at 11:09 a.m. Sunday she has given her mother permission to make doctor’s appointments and medical decisions for her son, but now her mother’s boyfriend was going to take her son to West Virginia and she did not want that to happen. Deputies explained it is a civil matter.

– Lisa Mountz, St. Jacob-Logtown Road, Leetonia, reported at 2:22 a.m. Thursday her son, Gage Brandon Mountz, is continuously bringing people to the house. She heard a knock at the door sometime prior to calling deputies and when she asked who was there, her son yelled it was someone for him and it was none of her business. They argued and he snapped and assaulted her, something she told happens all the time. This time he punched her on the left side of her head before she went into the bathroom and locked the door. Gage Mountz was charged with domestic violence.

– Kevin Sibila, Glasgow Road, Lisbon, was cited with OVI and left of center at 1:22 a.m. Saturday after a pickup traveling on state Route 518 went left of center and nearly struck a deputy’s patrol car.

Highway Patrol

– Robert A. Donaldson, 45, Carey Road, Salem, was southbound on Depot Road in Salem at 6:15 a.m. Nov. 17 and was struck by James G. Rozeski, 53, Spillway Road, Lisbon, who was northbound and lost control on snow. He was cited for failure to control.

– Darlene K. Martin, 67, Beloit, was backing southbound onto Hartley Road in Knox Township at 3:20 p.m. Friday from a private drive and struck Joann F. Pinkerton, 54, Alliance, who was backing northbound onto Hartley Road from a private drive.

– Kirk W. Kiger, 35, Hull Road, Salineville, was westbound on Glasgow Road in Wayne Township at 10 a.m. Saturday and went off the north side into a pole. No citation was issued.

– Vincent P. Malone, 18, Struthers, was southbound on state Route 7 in Fairfield Township at 3:25 p.m. Friday and went off the right side into a ditch to avoid hitting Victor A. Scott, 17, Petersburg, who was westbound on East Park Avenue and failed to yield from a stop sign. Scott was cited for failure to yield.

– Karen J. Campbell, 51, Mahoning Avenue, was northbound on Westville Lake Road in Knox Township at 3 p.m. Friday and was struck by John E. Benedict, 89, Beloit, who was eastbound on Hartley Road and failed to yield from a stop sign. Benedict was cited for failure to yield.

– Sean D. Logan, 48, Lucille Drive, Lisbon, was eastbound on state Route 172 in Hanover Township at 7:55 p.m. Wednesday and hit a deer.

– Deborah J. See, 58, Neeld Road, East Palestine, was westbound on state Route 558 in Fairfield Township at 8:10 a.m. Nov. 17 and went off the right side into a ditch. No citation was issued.

– Dean A. Foster, 17, Sycamore Road, New Waterford, was eastbound on state Route 558 in Fairfield Township at 2:35 p.m. Nov. 18 and went off the right side, then the left side and into a ditch. He was cited for failure to control.

– Thomas R. Shaw Sr., 56, 12th Street, Homeworth, was westbound on Georgetown Road in Knox Township at 6 a.m. Nov. 17 and slid off the south side into a utility pole and a ditch. No citations were issued.

– Layne D. Maris, 16, Homeworth Road, Homeworth, was westbound on Georgetown Road in Knox Township at 10:30 a.m. Saturday and went off the left side into a ditch and overturned. He was cited for failure to control and he and his passenger, Cody E. Maris, 17, Homeworth Road, Homeworth, were taken to Aultman Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

– Brooklyn M. Soliday, 16, Mardis Road, Kensington, was westbound on U.S. 30 in West Township at 9:20 a.m. Saturday and went off the south side into a guardrail and then off the north side into a ditch. No citations were issued.

– Michael Eubank, 21, Canton, was westbound on Georgetown Road in Knox Township at 2:58 a.m. Saturday and went off the left side into a guardrail, overturned and then struck a culvert pipe and overturned again. He was cited for failure to control.

Lisbon

– A pipe used for smoking marijuana was found on the sidewalk behind the mail drop-off box outside the post office. This occurred at 10:37 p.m. Sunday.

– Police were called to the county juvenile court/school complex at noon Nov. 18 in regard to a teenage girl acting up and causing problems. School Principal Sarah Underwood reported that the New Waterford girl was threatening and trying to attack a male classmate. The girl continued to scream at the top of her lungs while being questioned by the officer and then tried to choke herself, at which time she was placed in handcuffs for her own safety. An ambulance was then called to transport the girl to a local hospital to be examined.

– Logan Malik reported at 2:18 a.m. Sunday someone backed into his Camaro while it was parked in a private residential lot on East Lincoln Way.

– Police were called to a home on Graham Street at 7:27 p.m. Sunday in regard to a teenage girl trying to harm herself. The officer remained until an ambulance transported the girl to a local hospital to be examined.

-Frank Deligatti, East Washington Street, called with a barking dog complaint at noon Nov. 13. Police found the dog tied outside of the house and it had no food or water. No one was home, so the county dog warden was contacted.

– A clerk at Smith Oil reported a female motorist driving a white station wagon drove off without paying for $58 in gas at 3:19 p.m. Friday. The license plate came back to Judy Nickalo of Salineville, who told police she used her debit card at the pump. Nickalo was advised to check with her bank to see if the transaction went through and, if not, to come back to pay Smith Oil.

Columbiana

– A South Bayshore woman reported at 2:58 a.m. Sunday a dog was barking in the area and sounded like it was hurt. Police attempted to catch the small beagle but were unable.

– Amy Westover, West Railroad Street, reported at 12:54 p.m. Sunday her sister knocked her out of her wheelchair and onto the ground following an argument. Police went to the home and found her allegation was unfounded, that she was not knocked out of the wheelchair but had only been in a verbal argument with her sister. No charges were filed.

– Paul Bowman, Columbiana, was on Timberline Drive attempting to turn west onto state Route 14 at 1:55 p.m. Sunday and struck Nicholas Colla of Boardman, causing Colla to serve across the eastbound lane into a ditch. Bowman was cited for failure to yield.

– At 2:28 p.m. Sunday police went to an Old North home upon the request Boardman police to see if a vehicle was there that had been involved in a hit-skip in their township. The vehicle was not located.

East Palestine

– At 4:26 p.m. Sunday someone reported a group of kids were in the creek beside the Presbyterian Church on West Rebecca Street yelling and cursing and one appeared to have a knife. Police found the three kids and they did not have a knife. They were warned for their language and to stay off village property.

– Police accompanied water department employees to 371 E. Martin St. at 8:57 a.m. Monday because the resident, Robert Allen, had turned his own water back on without permission after it had been shut off for non-payment. He was charged with theft.

– Police went to 244 South St. at 7:33 p.m. Saturday to serve an arrest warrant on resident Murdo Urquhart, 37. No one answered the door at the home although police could see through the living room window a man believed to be Urquhart lying on the couch. Police were able to get inside after speaking with Christine Peterson through the window. Peterson told police she had not seen Urquhart and denied that he was there, even after police said they had seen him inside the home. Urquhart was found upstairs hiding in a small cabinet in a bedroom. He was then taken into custody without any further problems and Peterson, 39, 244 South St., was taken into custody for obstructing official business.

Salem Township

– Brenda Deangelis, Carrie Lane, called the Leetonia Fire Department at about 2 p.m. Sunday to report her neighbor was burning. Firefighters arrived and observed a very small fire that was determined to be legal. While there, Deangelis informed them another neighbor started a fire. This matter also was checked out. Everyone was reminded what was legal to burn in a fire pit.

– Marilyn Kelley, Carrie Lane, reported at 2:38 p.m. Sunday her neighbor is constantly calling police and the fire department when they are having a legal fire in their back yard and feels they are being harassed.

East Liverpool

– While northbound on Dresden Avenue Monday afternoon, Dannisha G. Lacey, 20, Midland, Pa., reportedly lost control of her vehicle just past Trentvale Street after striking some gravel. The vehicle went left of center, then came back onto the proper lane then went off the road into a wooded area. She was cited for failure to control, and one of her passengers, Javen D. Call, 19, Maple Street Street, was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant. Lacey, Call and a third passenger, Shanesse Call, 19, Midland, Pa., declined medical treatment. The vehicle was towed by First Class Towing.

Salem

– An officer responded to a suspicious person report in the 900 block of Benton Road at 2:49 p.m. Sunday and found a man hunting with his daughter. They were told to return to Perry Township due to an ordinance prohibiting hunting within city limits.

– John P. Stewart, Youngstown, reported at 4:07 p.m. Sunday that his daughter recently told him about abuse occurring at her mother’s Newgarden Avenue home. The matter was forwarded to Children Services.

– Police responded to an Aetna Street home at 5:06 p.m. Sunday where Harley M. Sanders reported a verbal dispute with her ex-boyfriend and father of her child regarding custody of the child. She and a witness said that when he was leaving he had a hand gun in his car and threatened to shoot her if she let any other man around the child. Officers found the ex-boyfriend at his Fifth Street home and he denied making the threats but admitted to the argument. He said that he had a BB gun in his car but reiterated that he made no threat. Officers recovered and confiscated the BB gun from the car.

– A patrolling officer at 6:52 p.m. Sunday observed a semi truck attempt a right turn from West State Street onto Sharp Avenue in which the right rear tire struck a telephone pole, causing the pole to sway and puncturing the tire. The officer found no damage to the pole and escorted the driver to a Mullins Street destination.

– Officers responded to the area of Southeast Boulevard and Franklin Avenue at 7:48 p.m. Sunday for a report of a man wearing a dark hoody walking in the roadway, but were unable to find him. Shortly thereafter the officers were dispatched to a similar complaint at Southeast Boulevard and East Pershing Street, but were still unable to find the man.

– Harley M. Sanders, Aetna Street, reported ongoing harassment from a known female via a social media site at 7:56 p.m. Sunday.

– Police responded to a Lexington Avenue home at 12:39 a.m. Monday where Joy L. Shawver reported an ex-boyfriend had posted a sexually explicit photo on Facebook. She was advised of the process to have the photo removed.

– While officers were on the scene of a separate incident in the 2500 block of Lexington, Rikki J. Wood reported that someone may have entered his home. The officers searched the home but found no one inside.

Perry Township

– An officer responded to a Prospect Street apartment complex at 4:15 a.m. Saturday where Sonnet Hollencheck reported an unfamiliar vehicle parked in front of her apartment and occupied by two people. The vehicle had left prior to the officer’s arrival and could not be found in the area.

– An officer assisted a South Lincoln Avenue resident who had fallen at 4:51 a.m. Saturday. The Perry Township fire department was told to disregard.

– Joshua D. Knisley, 23, 12205 Goshen Road Lot 83, Salem, was cited for failure to control after wrecking on the icy bypass at 10:15 a.m. Saturday.

– Police responded to a North Lincoln Avenue home at 9:20 p.m. Saturday where Isabel Huber reported coming home and finding her front door broken and an undisclosed amount of cash missing. While canvassing the area on Sunday, a neighbor, Tom R. Danklef, reported that his home had been broken into at approximately the same time as the prior one, but that he did not know if anything was missing.

– An officer responded to a one-vehicle crash on Cunningham Road just north of state Route 344 at 12:13 a.m. Sunday in which Tyler McCoy, Salem, reported striking a coyote in the roadway. The officer checked the area for the injured animal but could not find it.

– Police responded to the 400 block of Springdale Street at 9:36 a.m. Sunday where Brittany N. Hoops reported being bitten by her neighbor’s dog while outside with her dogs. She said the neighbor’s dog got loose and attacked her and her dogs. She did have a minor injury to her arm. Licensing and shot information for the dog was retrieved from the neighbor.

– Police responded to an Allen Road home at 7:24 p.m. Sunday where Kristine Brady reported her soon-to-be ex-husband was intoxicated and driving to the home following an argument. Upon arrival officers determined that he was no longer en route.

– A deputy responded to a report of several vehicles sliding off Depot Road south of Coffee School Road in Butler Township due to freezing rain at 11 a.m. Saturday. The deputy arrived to find the following motorists had slid off the road: Jeffrey Heffinger, Carey Road; Dustin Dorff, Continental Drive, Salem; and Duane Culler of Youngstown. None of the drivers or their passengers reported being injured, and tow trucks were called to assist.

– Edward Sable reported there were people sitting in a vehicle parked at the Dickey baseball complex on Lisbon Road, Center Township, at 2 p.m. Sunday. A deputy found Josh Naulta and Lewis Almy in the vehicle, and Naulta said they were waiting to meet his father, who was coming from Salem. The deputy told them they would have to leave after Naulta’s father arrives.

– Jennifer Cox, Bentwood Drive, New Waterford, reported Sunday his mother owns the former East Fairfield Market on state Route 7 and the heating/air conditioning unit was missing.

– Courtney K. Cochran, 18, Waterford Road, New Waterford, was cited for failure to control after she went into a ditch while driving on state Route 46 in Unity Township at 9:35 p.m. Thursday.

– Vincent S. McElfresh, 35, of Youngstown, was driving on state Route 14 in Beaver Township at 8 p.m. Thursday when an oncoming pickup truck went left of center, forcing him to swerve and go off the road and overturn in his 2005 Tribute. The other driver did not stop.

– Cory A. Wiley, 25, East Calla Road, New Middletown, was driving on state Route 558 in Fairfield Township at 8:15 a.m. Nov. 17 when he lost control of his F-150 and struck a disabled Vibe in a ditch. The Vibe is owned by Deborah J. See, Neeld Road, East Palestine.

– Brenda J. Herron, 47, North Market Street, East Palestine, was cited for failure to control after she struck a guardrail while driving on a snowy section of state Route 170 in Unity Township at 7:15 a.m. Nov. 17.

– Marc O. Thompson, 45, of Aliquippa, Pa., was cited for failure to control after he slid into a tree while driving on a snowy section of state Route 165 in Unity Township at 5:50 a.m. Nov. 17.

– Aaron J. Wolfe, 27, Bloomfield Road, East Liverpool, was cited for failure to control after striking a guardrail while driving on a snowy section of state Route 11 at 6 a.m. Nov. 17.

Columbiana

– Beaver Township police requested help with conducting a traffic stop on state Route 164 at Renkenberger Road at 2 a.m. Saturday.

– An officer came across Bradley Dustman walking along Stanton Avenue at 3:40 a.m. Saturday. Dustman said everything was fine and he was just out for walk.

– Jawna Stokes of Columbiana had a seizure while driving on Union Street at 9:34 a.m. Saturday and struck a light pole at the intersection of South Vine Street.

– Ashley Ketchum of Columbiana was driving on North Main Street at 9:50 a.m. Saturday when her vehicle began to swerve on the ice. Motorist George Hull of Leetonia tried to avoid a collision with Ketchum’s vehicle but was unable to do so, striking her vehicle lightly in the tire.

– Kayla McMannis, West Railroad Street, reported Saturday afternoon that her sister was being argumentative, throwing hard objects around and playing music loud. Police determined there was nothing they could do since the two had only been arguing.

– Boardman Township police asked Saturday to help locate resident Francis O’Block, Old North Street, in regard to a hit-skip accident in the township.

– Donna Schoonover, Blueberry Lane, reported Saturday her purse was stolen from her vehicle while the vehicle was parked in the Grace Church lot. Everything from her purse except her phone was recovered later.

East Palestine

– Charges of writing a bad check were prepared to be filed against Susan C. Yokley, Alice Street, after she reportedly paid her village utility bill with a bad check. Yokley failed to respond when given a chance by the village prior to the charges being prepared.

– Kay L. Kaufman reported at 9:17 p.m. Saturday there was a woman in a blue coat begging for money at the Family Dollar store. Police checked the area but was unable to locate the woman matching the description.

– Rhonda L. Albert, West Main Street, reported there was a dog running loose in traffic on Bacon Avenue at 1:19 p.m. Saturday. Police checked the area several times but were unable to locate the dog.

– Ronald J. Bish, state Route 170, reported someone was trying to break into his home at 10:29 p.m. Tuesday. Police arrived to find his neighbor, who was drunk and trying to get in Bish’s house by mistake. Bish declined to press charges, and the neighbor was helped to her residence and warned she would be charged if she comes back outside while intoxicated.

– Ashley Pallotta, South Washington Street, reported at 12:26 a.m. Wednesday that she wanted her boyfriend to leave, but he left on foot once she called police.

Salem

– A Whinnery Road woman who was not identified reported at 1:53 p.m. Saturday her daughter threatened her.

– An officer responded to a North Ellsworth Avenue home at 2:30 p.m. Saturday where a woman reported her 14-year-old son had broken household items after becoming angry regarding punishment for poor grades. The woman was advised to contact professionals assisting the son.

– Michael S. Vrabel, 50, 521 W. Wilson St., Salem, was arrested at his home at 7:38 p.m. Saturday on a county warrant for a felony dangerous drug charge.

– An East State Street gas station which was not identified reported a $20.01 drive off at 8:03 p.m. Saturday.

– Police responded to a parking lot in the 2800 block of East State at 11:03 a.m. Sunday for a report of a female with pink hair looking into parked cars, but were unable to find her.

– Officers responded to the 400 block of Fair Avenue at 11:58 a.m. Sunday for a report of a missing adult, but found the person near Pershing and Lincoln while en route. The man said that he was only taking a walk. The complainant responded to the scene to transport him home. No one was identified.

– Mary Smith, Murry Road, East Rochester, was traveling north on Depot Road in Butler Township at 11:14 a.m. Saturday when she lost control of her 2002 Ford Ranger due to the icy road conditions, drove off the right side of the road and struck a tree. Smith was taken to Salem Regional Medical Center for minor injuries. No citations were issued.

– Amy Kibler reported at 5:04 p.m. as she was driving on Lisbon Road in Salem, she stopped and spoke to a woman, who to Kibler appeared disoriented and brought the woman into her vehicle. A deputy called for Leetonia EMS, who took the woman to Salem Regional Medical Center for evaluation.

– Ester Blythe, East Terrace Drive, Wellsville, reported at 3:44 p.m. Friday she saw three people shooting a shotgun. A deputy checked with John Wright and Paul Wright, who said they were helping a child sight in his shotgun for youth deer hunting season, and found the discharging handled in a safe manner.

– Kerry Pitts, state Route 154, Negley, reported at 10:50 p.m. Friday someone shot a gun near his residence before driving off in a gold car headed towards Rogers.

Highway Patrol

– Branzen P. Grodhaus, 16, state Route 39, Wellsville, was traveling west on state Route 39 in Yellow Creek Township at 5:22 p.m. Monday when he drove off the left side of the road, struck a ditch and rolled over. He was cited for failure to control.

– Curtis R. Shaw, 25, West North Avenue, East Palestine, was traveling south on Neeld Road in Unity Township at 7 p.m. Monday when he travelled off the road to the left and struck a fire hydrant. Due to the icy road conditions, no citation was issued.

– Dale A. Hixenbaugh, 19, Bower Road, Minerva, was traveling west on U.S. Route 30 in West Township at 8:22 p.m. Thursday when he hit a deer.

Columbiana

– Debra Danks, New Waterford, and Thomas Pyles, Rogers, were both traveling north on North Main Street at 2:03 p.m. Friday when Pyles rear-ended Danks as she was slowing down to a stop for traffic ahead. Pyles was cited for assured clear distance.

– A bad check written by Jared Pennel of Columbiana was sent at 4:30 p.m. to Mayor’s Court.

– A Sparkle employee reported at 5:24 p.m. Friday a man, Willis Barnhart, was acting disoriented. Barnhart was taken to the station to be checked by EMS, and later taken to his daughter’s home on Court Street.

– A dog barking all day was reported at 5:40 p.m. Friday on North Elm Street. The dog was not barking upon arrival. An officer spoke with the owner’s son, and the son advised he would take the dog inside.

– A woman reported at 9:29 p.m. Friday the possibility of a party with underage drinking at a Howard Street house. Officers checked the house twice, and found it to be dark with no one at home.

Salem

– Corey A. Ketchum, Salem, reported on station at 5:21 p.m. Friday that someone had gotten angry about something he posted on Facebook and had reportedly been looking for him at his place of employment.

– Police responded to the 200 block of East Fourth Street at 8:27 p.m. Friday where Lana Billiter reported a man looking in her windows. Police found a man that matched Billiter’s description but he denied the allegation. He agreed to stay away from the residence in the future.

– Juan Francisco Sebastian, 21, 323 Rose Ave., Salem, was charged with driving under suspension following a traffic stop at Ohio Avenue and East Pershing Street at 12:47 a.m. Saturday.

– Dewey J. Souers, 25, 186 S. Howard Ave., Salem, was arrested at his home at 6:44 a.m. Saturday on an active warrant out of the Columbiana County Sheriff’s Office for forgery.

Perry Township

– John W. Givens, 56, Canton, was cited for driving under an OVI suspension and fictitious plates following a traffic stop on Egypt Road at 10:57 a.m. Thursday.

– Police responded to a verbal dispute in the 1600 block of Fillmore Avenue between a man and woman at 9:30 p.m. Thursday, but they were calmed down by the time officers arrived and they reported no violence occurred.

POLICE

County Sheriff

– Roy Todd, Hamiton Road, East Palestine, reported at 1:15 p.m. Nov. 14 his neighbor’s cattle have been getting loose and entering their yard off and on since 1965. The cattle eat flowers, trample the yard and have forced them to put a fence around their vegetable garden. When it happens, they leave a message at the neighbors’ and he comes within a few hours or a day or so to secure them. Todd’s wife has begun keeping a log. The cattle have been in their yard twice on Nov. 10, once on Nov. 11 and again on Nov. 14. The cattle were also blocking the road on Nov. 12 causing a motorist to call the sheriff. The owner of the cattle, Edward Reidy told deputies he tries to keep the fence in good repair and the cow and her calf, which appear to be the main culprets leading the recent escapes, were heading to the livestock auction next week.

– Bob Clewell, Clewell Drive, Lisbon, reported at 9:59 p.m. Thursday people were trespassing on his property. While deputies were responding, dispatchers received another call from Venita A. Tschappatt, the resident of a camper on the property, who said Clewell was harassing her and her company. Deputies explained to Clewell if he wants Tschappatt to leave he would have to evict her. Additionally, it was explained if she wants to have a friend over to her home, she is allowed to do so. Clewell said he believes he has to know everyone on the property.

– Amy Cooper, state Route 7, New Waterford, reported at 6:16 p.m. Thursday she was being harassed by her ex husband. Deputies were unable to reach her when they attempted to call her back.

– Tim Brust, Melissa Lane, Minerva, reported at 10:39 a.m. Thursday sometime overnight someone took about five gallons of gas from each of his vehicles at his home.

– Shenia Kneib, Salem Unity Road, Salem, reported at 7:26 a.m. Thursday she went to her car in the parking lot of her employment, Envelope One, and found her car had been struck. The employer was viewing a video of the parking lot for her.

– Lee Miller, Adams Road, Lisbon, reported at 11:11 a.m. Thursday he saw a man walking around his home to the front door at about 10 a.m. and told him to go around to the back door. The man said his car was broken down and he needed help jumping it. Miller agreed to take the man back down to the road, about a half a mile from his home, and helped him. He went back to the house and found while he was gone someone else had broken into the bathroom window and stolen several items from the house. Miller found where it appeared someone had been hiding behind his garage. Tracks in the snow showed the person ran down the driveway. Miller had assisted a man about six-foot-one, wearing a white hooded sweatshirt, brown khaki pants and glasses and driving a maroon Buick, possibly a Century, about eight to 10 years old.

Highway Patrol

– Jade A. Huff, 16, Carey Road, Salem, was cited for failure to control after she lost control in her Cavalier and went off the road, striking a speed limit sign and tree. The accident occurred at the intersection of Carey and North Price roads in Butler Township at 2:20 p.m. Wednesday. An ambulance was also called to the scene to examine Huff.

– Douglas P. Risinger, 35, Richardson Avenue, Negley, was cited for driving an unsafe vehicle after going over an embankment in his Blazer and overturning while driving on Bye Road in Middleton Township at 12:10 p.m. Tuesday.

– Richard R. Stedman, 44, of Valley View, Pa., was cited for failure to control after the semi-truck he was driving went off the road, striking a fence and tree, while driving northbound on state Route 11 in Madison Township at 12:38 p.m. Monday.

– Raymond F. Beaver, 37, of Youngstown, struck a deer while driving on state Route 11 in Fairfield Township at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.

– Mark A. Higinbotham, 46, Buck Road, Beloit, struck a deer while driving a construction van on Depot Road in Butler Township at 6:43 p.m. Wednesday.

East Liverpool

– Mike Stowers, Fawcett Apartments, Moore Street, reported that Luther Adkins, same address, had violated a protection order by being in the parking lot of the apartment complex. Adkins was located walking on Clayborne Street and arrested for violating a protection order. The officer noted this is, and will continue to be, an on-going problem since both men reside at Fawcett Apartments.

St. Clair Township

– Officers responded to a Duke Road home Wednesday for a report of a man flipping out and arrived to find Thomas Powell, 18, on the porch. His mother, Marlene Hubstenberger, told officers she was tired of it and to take him, and Powell reportedly challenged officers to come get him, taking a fighting stance. He was taken to the ground, handcuffed and had to be pulled to the cruiser, according to reports. His mother told officers Powell became angry when she threw away pills she had found and began punching holes in the doors, damaging the interior and the refrigerator. The report did not specify what charge was filed against Powell.

– Called to the Dollar General for two shoplifters, officers warned Hollie C. Reese and Rachel Mazza they are no longer welcome in Dollar General stores in the township or city. According to reports, employees saw the two women conceal items and confronted them, and they admitted it. Since the items were not taken out of the store, no charges were filed. The report did not include ages or addresses for the two women.

– Employees at Sheetz reported a woman and man traveling together purchased a lollipop and peppermint patty, respectively, and each paid for the purchase with a $5 bill. The bills were later found to be counterfeit.

– Officers were called to Good Wheels Service Garage on state Route 170 for reports that Chris Woolley, no age or address listed, has been coming to the business and harassing an employee, Kaitlyn Gibson, his former girlfriend. Woolley called again while officers were there taking the report and they told him not to return to the business or he would be charged. Gibson also filed a similar report and was advised to speak with the law director.

Columbiana

-Eric Smith of C. Tucker Cope reported finding at 5:43 a.m. Thursday that the glass door on the side of the business was broken, but it appears to have been accidental.

– A representative of the American Legion reported Thursday several trash bins had been stolen after the Street Fair. They only found out now after receiving a bill for them.

– A street department employee reported Thursday seeing an open door on an abandoned home at 404 N. Elm St. Police arrived and nothing else appeared to be amiss.

– A caller reported there was a suspicious vehicle parked at the south substation at 5:22 p.m. Thursday. The vehicle was gone by the time police arrived.

County Sheriff

– Renee Lamp, Foundry Hill Road, Salineville, reported at 12:38 p.m. Wednesday someone stole a lawn tractor, a motorcycle frame and parts from her daughter’s barn about three or four weeks ago.

– William Davis, Boyd Road, Wellsville, reported at 3:09 p.m. Nov. 14 his daughter lost her cell phone on Nov. 13 while at Southern Local.

– Renee Ross, no address listed, called at 8:53 p.m. Wednesday and asked deputies to contact Larry Troyer, Lowmiller Road, Minerva, after being unable to reach him for a few weeks. Deputies spoke to Troyer, who said he was fined and claimed he did not know Renee Ross.

Columbiana

– A South Side Middle School employee reported at 8:49 a.m. Wednesday a student was missing from school. The student’s father went to the home where he thought she might be located and returned her to school.

– William Dunn, reported at 8:34 p.m. Wednesday his 18-year-old son was not listening to him.

East Liverpool

– Called to Harvey Avenue for a car illegally parked on the sidewalk, officers said they addressed the on-going problem by towing the vehicle. The vehicle’s owner was not identified in reports.

Liverpool Township

– A officer responded to Dewey Avenue for a man threatening to harm himself where she spoke with Misty L. Tice, 31, who said her live-in boyfriend, Brian Humphrey, had come in and asked her and Jason Holloway to harm him because he “felt horrible for striking her earlier in the week.” When Tice and Holloway declined, Humphrey reportedly ran and grabbed a knife, held it to himself and threatened to harm himself then held it to Tice, threatening to kill her. Holloway was able to wrest the knife from Humphrey who then reportedly grabbed Tice by the throat and held her down on the couch. Humphrey was not at the scene when officers arrived, and they advised Tice they would be filing an arrest warrant for him for domestic violence, telling her if he returned to call them. A few moments later, Humphrey did return to the house and a fight ensued between him and Tice, during which she struck him in the face. During this fracas, Tice’s 4-year-old child was in the room and her 11-month-old child was sleeping in the next room, according to reports. In speaking with the 4-year-old, officers determined Tice had struck Humphrey first and charged her with domestic violence as well.

St. Clair Township

– While westbound on McCoy Avenue Wednesday, Kylee J. Smith, 20, Ohio Avenue reported, a full-sized truck came up behind her at a high rate of speed, striking the rear of her vehicle. This caused her vehicle to go off the right side of the roadway. The truck left the scene with the driver unidentified. Smith was treated at East Liverpool City Hospital.

– Austin D. Smith 19, Industry, Pa., was eastbound on state Route 170 Tuesday when a vehicle driven by Lewis G. Miles, 82, Y&O Road, reportedly pulled from a plaza to turn left, into Smith’s path. The vehicles collided, causing Smith’s vehicle to go off the road, striking a parked vehicle owned by Tina K. Brown, Harvey Avenue, Lisbon. No injuries or citations were reported.

Salem

– A clerk at Murphy USA reported at 1:10 p.m. Thursday that a customer left without paying for $20 worth of gas. Contact was made with the customer and she said she tried to pay with a credit card and thought the sale went through. She was returning to pay.

– A suspicious vehicle was reported at 1:38 a.m. Thursday in the Giant Eagle parking lot, 2401 E. State St., where police found the driver suffering from a medical condition.

– Police are investigating an assault reported at 9:33 p.m. Wednesday by someone in the 1100 block of North Ellsworth Avenue. An 18-year-old male said he had been walking along North Ellsworth between East Second and East Third streets at 9 p.m. when three people in dark clothing with ski masks attacked him and began kicking him repeatedly while he was on the ground. He sustained numerous injuries, including minor lacerations to the left ear, a laceration to the back of the head, abrasions to the back of the neck, a bloody nose and injury to the lower lip.

– Stephanie Everson, 39, of North Ellsworth Avenue, struck a deer on Bentley Drive at 6:45 p.m. Wednesday.

– A resident in the 1900 block of Monroe Street reported at 4:48 p.m. Wednesday that a cell phone and $40 cash was stolen sometime between Sunday evening and Thursday. The resident said a care worker had shown an interest in the phone and had not shown up to provide care the past two days. The employer of the care worker had already been contacted.

– Police were called at 4:18 p.m. Wednesday for gunshots in the area of Pennsylvania Avenue and Allen Road. An officer was able to hear the shots from the rear of the police department, but upon reaching Allen Road, the shots were originating from outside the city.

POLICE

County Sheriff

– Bruce Lev of Titan Construction reported at 2 p.m. Tuesday he is selling a property on Walnut Grove Lane by land contract to Scott Lydic and he received a phone call from a woman claiming the property was abandoned. He went to the property and found it had been abandoned. He also found someone had broken into the back door and there was extensive damage to the property. There was no power, which caused the sump pump to fail and the basement to flood. That damaged all the mechanical items and dry wall. Wire was missing and other drywall damaged throughout the home. Lydic was up to date making payments on the property, but he has been unable to reach him.

– Jonell Sell of the Homeworth Post Office reported at 2:52 p.m. Tuesday a man she did not know came into the post office and talked about how he could rob the place. Deputies checked the man’s license plate number and spoke to him him the next day. He claimed he has been there five or six times and has joked with the girl working there in the past, but this time she took offense. He was uncertain if it is always the same girl. He apologized and said he would not joke that way in the future.

– Someone driving by a Desellem Road home reported at 11:07 a.m. Tuesday there was a woman standing near a driveway, dressed only in a sweatshirt and sweat pants, and asking for a ride to Lisbon because she and her boyfriend got into a fight and her boyfriend locked her out. Deputies knocked on the door and the woman answered. She said they had argued, but there was no violence and he was not home at that time.

Highway Patrol

– Vickie L. Crum, 60, Alliance, hit a deer on state Route 45 at 5:46 p.m. Monday and then went off the right side into a sign.

– Alexandra M. Brandt, 21, Bill Smith Road, Wellsville, was southeast on U.S. 30 and went off the right edge of the road into three mailboxes. No citations were issued.

– Sara A. West, 56, Carnegie, Pa., was westbound on U.S. 30 in Hanover Township at 1:46 p.m. Tuesday and went off the right side into a guardrail face. She was cited for failure to control.

– Dallas F. Mansell Jr., 54, Malibu Drive, East Palestine, and John B. Dickey, 52, Southeast Boulevard, Salem, were westbound on U.S. 30 in Center Township at 8:54 a.m. Tuesday and Dickey struck Mansell from behind. Dickey was cited for assured clear distance.

– Christine M. Plunkett, 57, Hammodsville Road, Wellsville, and Rhonda A. Allen, 40, Fife Coal Road, Wellsville, were westbound on state Route 39 in Washington Township at 7:35 a.m. Tuesday and Allen struck Plunkett from behind. Allen was cited for assured clear distance.

– Jay E. Lafferre, 59, Conkle Road, Salem, was westbound on Salem Grange Road in Salem Township at 6 p.m. Monday and went off the right side into a mailbox. No citations were issued.

– Glen E. Wickersham, 44, state Route 164, Lisbon, was southbound on state Route 164 in Center Township at 2:20 p.m. Monday when a piece of ice came off the roof of a southbound vehicle and struck his vehicle. The other vehicle continued on.

– Christopher J. Guy, 27, Carmel Achor Road, Rogers, was westbound on state Route 517 in Fairfield Township at 7:37 a.m. Monday and went off the right side into a utility pole. No citations were issued.

– Preston S. Beagle, 25, Lisbon-Canfield Road, Columbiana, was northeast on Columbiana-Lisbon Road in Fairfield Township at 7:55 a.m. Monday and went off the left side into two mailboxes and a utility pole. He was cited for failure to control.

– Cindy E. Gibson, 57, Duke Vodrey Road, East Liverpool, was northbound on state Route 7 in Middleton Township at 6:55 a.m. Monday and was struck on the right side by a vehicle in the right lane that went over the center line while she attempted to pass in the passing lane. The other vehicle continued on.

– Marissa Dawn Wiley, 23, West High Street, Lisbon, was eastbound on state Route 517 in Elkrun Township at 6:48 a.m. Monday and lost control on the snow and ice covered road and went off the south side and overturned.

Lisbon

– Kevin Criss reported Monday someone put sugar in his vehicle’s gas tank and he believes he knows who was responsible.

– The security alarm went off at the post office at 3:51 a.m. Tuesday, but the building was found secure and nothing appeared to be amiss. The alarm was to be reset by the first group of employees who were due to arrive by 5 a.m.

– Police were called several times to a home on Maple Street Extension Tuesday night in regard to a domestic situation. John Thompson called at 9:21 p.m. to report his teenage son was outside the Jeffrey Seidner residence waiting for his mother and he was worried because of the cold temperatures. Police went to the residence and spoke with Nicole Thompson, who said she was not driving her son anywhere because she had been drinking. Mr. Thompson called back at 10:11 p.m. to report his son was outside in a car to avoid the arguing. Police found Ms. Thompson and Seidner to be very intoxicated, and she stated she and her son would remain at the residence for the night. Then at 11:15 p.m. Mr. Thomspon and his son showed up at the police station saying the boy had been kicked out of the residence by his mother and left on foot. The boy also stated his mother kicked him four times, which resulted in Ms. Thompson, 38, being arrested for domestic violence at the residence. Meanwhile, the 62-year-old Seidner was arrested after police observed three bowls used for smoking marijuana on his kitchen table.

Columbiana

– A Fairfield Avenue woman reported at 8:18 a.m. Tuesday the neighbors put their dog out every morning when they leave for work and it barks all day long. Police checked but did not hear any dogs barking in that area.

– A Blueberry Drive resident reported at 1:41 p.m. Tuesday a neighbor’s boy was outside playing in the driveway with his dog and covered the dog with his coat, and believed the boy was acting strange. Police checked but found the boy had only been playing with his dog and there was nothing strange about it.

– A Cobbler’s Corner employee reported at 3:53 p.m. Tuesday a bad check for $132.12 was written by Owen Margargee of Hermitage, Pa.

– Penny Susany, East Park Avenue, reported at 5:31 p.m. Tuesday someone she didn’t know dropped off three black garbage cans on her property. Police checked and found there was only garbage inside and nothing dangerous.

– Police checked on complaints of an older white pickup truck speeding on Woodland Avenue around 10:40 p.m. each night at 10 p.m. Tuesday but did not see the vehicle.

Salem

– A Leetonia man reported from Walmart at 12:14 p.m. Wednesday that his passport was missing. He said he keeps his passport in his business vehicle and last used it in March or April. When he went to Canada on Nov. 10, he discovered it missing when he got to the border.

– Police responded to the 300 block of East Perry Street at 8:12 a.m. Wednesday regarding an animal complaint. Officers saw three small deer and managed to get two of them to head south on South Broadway out of harm’s way. The third went to the southwest corner and would not come out. Officers figured the deer would later find its own way out.

– Tina Kalbfell, of the 1200 block of East Third Street, reported at 5:44 a.m. Wednesday that sometime overnight, someone slashed all four tires on her vehicle.

– Police responded at 8:20 p.m. Tuesday to the 500 block of East Fourth Street where a minor water leak had developed in the ceiling of a third-floor apartment and there was concern for the tenant in the fourth-floor apartment above since they weren’t responding. Police made several attempts to contact the resident, then the fire department was summoned to gain entry. The tenant was okay and didn’t hear the knocks. The water leak appeared to be coming from a bath tub drain in the fourth-floor apartment.

– Police were called at 7:55 p.m. Tuesday to the 600 block of Euclid Avenue for threats being made to a resident by a friend. The resident didn’t want the person staying there anymore. He had been there three weeks and wasn’t on the lease, but she was told she could not legally throw him out. The landlord would have to evict him.

– Holly Orwig, 21, of North Lincoln Avenue, was charged with driving under suspension after police were called at 7:45 p.m. Tuesday to assist Perry Township with a traffic stop at West Seventh Street and Jennings Avenue. The driver knew about the license suspension but thought she was supposed to have driving privileges. A valid driver responded to provide her a ride and her vehicle was parked.

– A domestic was reported at 7:24 p.m. Tuesday in the 1100 block of Fairview Avenue.

– Fallon Barnett, of the 900 block of West Pershing Street, reported at 1:43 p.m. Tuesday that someone entered the residence without permission and took several of her personal items.

– Police checked the area of North Lincoln Avenue and 14th Street at 12:25 p.m. Tuesday for a white Chevy Cavalier. The operator had allegedly been involved in an altercation in Goshen Township and the department wanted to speak with him. The vehicle was not found.

Perry Township

– Police investigated a one-vehicle accident at 5:38 a.m. Wednesday involving Patrick Sly, 44, of Carrollton, who was northbound on state Route 9 when he hit a deer.

– A resident on Benton Road reported at 11:24 a.m. Tuesday that a man known to him arrived at the apartment and demanded money that was owed. When the money was not paid, the man allegedly broke out the window to the door and left after police were called. The man was contacted and denied causing any damage. Both were told to stay away from each other.

– A resident on Prospect Street Extension called Tuesday to report an unauthorized withdrawal from his checking account. The $99 was paid to an insurance company.

– Township police with assistance from Salem Police responded to the 1100 block of Prospect Street for a reported suicidal male who locked himself in a bathroom with a knife at 3:35 p.m. Tuesday. Police were able to talk the man into handing the knife under the door to officers. He eventually opened the door and was detained for his own safety. He was taken to Salem Regional Medical Center for evaluation.

POLICE

County Sheriff

– Beatty Wendell, Union Ridge Road, Negley, reported at 3:15 p.m. Monday he purchases an Oldsmobile Alero from Russ Reynolds on state Route 170 in Negley and went to Reynolds’ small lot on Monday to demand the title for the car “or else.” Some threats were made and Wendell claims Reynolds threatened to “blow his head off.” Reynolds admitted the title is in process and he will mail it to Wendell by the end of the month. He agreed both were making threats toward the other.

– Melissa Rhodes, Lisbon Road, Leetonia, reported at 1:49 p.m. Monday her son received threats on his cell phone from a teenager. Rhodes’ son was at the soccer game and needed to go to the Leetonia so he rode with a friend and her mother. The other boy became upset about her son talking to the girl and threatened to harm him.

– Janlee Manypenny, 36, Leetonia, was driving on Old state Route 344 north of Grafton Road at 3:30 a.m. Sunday when she was stopped for a lane violation. Deputies charged her with OVI.

– A Homeworth Road, Alliance, woman reported a domestic incident at 11:31 p.m. Saturday. When deputies arrived they were met by the male half of the argument, who said he and the woman who called had an argument and she had been drinking all day. He claimed at one point she threw a cup of water in his face and he spit on her. She gave a different story and told deputies the pills she pulled from her purse were “zannies.” She told deputies she does not take them because they make her feel “weird” and she plans to sell them. They were in an unmarked prescription bottle and she was told she can get them back if she can produce proper documentation she was to have them. She agreed to go to Alliance Hospital for an evaluation for what appeared to deputies to be self-inflicted wounds on her wrists and ankles.

– Shirley Whitacre, Winona Road, Salem, reported at 4:23 p.m. Monday she received a call that morning from a person identifying himself as Richard Morgan, an attorney. He claimed a friend of hers, Kerry Mora, had been arrested and he needed $4,500 to get Mora out of jail. She bought $4,500 in Green Dot Cards at Rite Aid and provided the man with the numbers from the cards. She also spoke to someone who acted like he was Mora. Deputies called the phone number provided 403-470-1464 and the number stated “public defenders office” then went to voicemail.

Lisbon

– The security alarm went off at Morgan’s Drug Store at 10:27 p.m. Monday, but the building was found secure, and there was no sign of anything amiss.

Columbiana

– Fred Senatti, Columbiana, was west on West Southern Avenue from Camelot Drive at 7:15 a.m. Monday and slid on snow and ice.

– Police checked on a car that went into a ditch on Fairfield School Road a few houses north of city limits at 7:32 a.m. Monday. There was no damage to the car and no report needed.

– Police received several calls at 8:41 a.m. Monday of a city-wide power outage.

– A Whispering Pines employee reported at 11:25 a.m. Monday a patient barricaded herself in her room at the facility on East Park Avenue. The woman was taken by ambulance to an Alliance hospital.

– At 5:40 p.m. Monday police assisted Beaver Township police with a motor vehicle accident on state Route 46.

– A man reported at 7:26 p.m. Monday someone in an older white pickup truck was driving through the leaves piled up along Woodland Avenue.

East Palestine

– An East Main Street woman reported at 2 p.m. Friday she and her adult daughter had an argument, and her daughter knocked several items off a wall and was verbally abusive toward her. The woman said she was not physically injured during the argument.

St. Clair Township

– Linda R. Tustin, 55, Bloomfield Road, was charged Saturday with petty theft and possession of criminal tools after officers arrived at Walmart to find her being detained by security personnel, who said she took nearly $70 worth of items, placing them in a large purse and walking out without paying. Tustin was also served with a no trespass order for the store.

– Dirk Mays, no address listed, reported his wallet lost in the Walmart parking lot.

– Amy Smith, Milton Alley, reported being spied on by someone from the woods for several nights, saying she could see lights on the scopes they were using. She also reported her mail taken and mailbox damaged.

Perry Township

– Police were called at 7:04 p.m. Monday to state Route 45 near state Route 9 to check on a Chevy S-10 pickup that slid off the road. No damage was done to the vehicle and several family members were able to push the vehicle back onto the road. Kenneth James Hall, 21, of Elmwood Drive, Lisbon, was cited for failure to control.

– Jacob P. Davis, 19, of Country Club Lane, Salem, was cited for failure to control after he lost control of his Chevy Silverado on ice on U.S. Route 62, then the vehicle left the road, struck a ditch, crossed over Ohio Boulevard and struck a utility pole at 5:09 p.m. Monday. No injuries were reported.

– Police were called to check on a vehicle at 7:58 a.m. Monday that was in a ditch on Cider Mill Road due to icy roads. AAA Towing was called by the owner to have it removed. No damage was observed.

– A reckless driver was reported at 3:45 a.m. Monday on U.S. Route 62 near the state Route 45 bypass, but the vehicle was not found.

– Police, the Perry Township Volunteer Fire Department and the Damascus Fire Department responded to the 300 block of West Pine Lake Road for a reported structure fire at an unattached garage Sunday afternoon. Police directed traffic until both departments had enough manpower on the scene.

– Slade Reiter, of Conser Drive, called at 10:57 a.m. Sunday to report the vandalism of two vehicles. He said that sometime Saturday, a man acting strangely was knocking on doors asking for a ride to the store. When he told the man no, the man became upset and starting yelling at him saying he would get him back. Police spoke with the suspect who denied all knowledge of the incident.

– A motorist following a semi tractor trailer northbound on state Route 9 from Hanoverton reported at 6:14 p.m. Saturday that the semi trailer was losing its load along the highway. The semi traveled north on state Route 45, but was not found by police. An officer located three bales of blown insulation along the road north of Carey Road and removed them from the lanes of travel. The Columbiana County Sheriff’s Office was notified to check the rest of state Route 9 south of Perry Township.

– A 17-year-old Salem girl was cited for assured clear distance ahead after the pickup she was driving struck the rear of a vehicle driven by Greg Hoprich, 55, of Plymouth Place, Salem, who was eastbound on state Route 344 and stopped to turn north onto Cunningham Road at 3:29 p.m. Saturday. Three people in the Hoprich vehicle were transported to Salem Regional Medical Center for evaluation. Police were assisted at the scene by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and Perry Township Volunteer Fire Department.

Salem

– A neighbor dispute was reported at 8:53 p.m. Monday in the 800 block of East Sixth Street where a woman said a friend visiting her neighbor threatened to have her vehicle towed because she did not know how to park. Officers spoke to the person and advised him he could not make threats to her. Both parties were told to stay away from each other and contact the landlord with any parking issues.

-Police checked the welfare of a city resident in the 1200 block of Southeast Boulevard at 6:47 p.m. Monday. She said she was fine.

– Police responded at 5:35 p.m. Monday to the 2600 block of East State Street where a pickup hauling a box trailer jack-knifed in the eastbound lane. The owner said due to icy road conditions, the trailer started moving sideways, causing the incident. The vehicle was able to be straightened out after the street department responded with salt. Police had been called to the same area at 5:33 p.m. for a report of a stuck semi on the hill due to icy road conditions, but no semi was found. An officer remained in the area until the street department could salt the road and traffic could resume.

– No citations were issued for a number of accidents caused by icy road conditions shortly after 5 p.m. Monday. On Franklin Avenue at Maple, Patricia Bica, 55, of Southeast Boulevard, was stopped for a red light while southbound and was struck from behind by a vehicle driven by Alyssa Wright, 18, of Fairview Court. In the 1100 block of East State Street, Kerry Morrissey, 47, of East Seventh Street, was westbound and attempted to turn into a parking lot, sliding on the icy road and coming to a stop after striking a curb. Her vehicle was then struck on the driver’s side by the rear door of westbound vehicle driven by Amy McGuire, who slid and swerved left to try to avoid a collision. In the 2100 block of Southeast Boulevard, an eastbound vehicle driven by Carly Ellis 24, of Gretna, La., slid left of center while attempting to negotiate a curve and was slowing or stopped in the westbound lane when a westbound vehicle driven by Logan Seabrook, 20, of New Galilee, Pa. struck her vehicle. No injuries were reported.

– Officers responded to the Cranmer Bridge on West State Street at 5:06 p.m. Monday for a vehicle stopped and blocking traffic. The vehicle was attempting to move forward, but was having trouble due to the bridge being solid ice. The vehicle was able to get going off the bridge, but officers shut down all traffic on the bridge due to the weather conditions until salt trucks could salt the road. The bridge was reopened after it was salted down.

– Lines were reported down in the 200 block of Park at 4:26 p.m. Monday. The lines were located in an alley behind a residence. An officer was able to get them out of the way and place them on the curb lawn.

– Police assisted Children Services at 3:53 p.m. Monday at a West Wilson Street residence.

– Police located a woman who fell in the driveway beside her car as a result of the snow at 2:15 p.m. Monday. An ambulance and fire department first responders came to the scene. KLG transported her to Salem Regional Medical Center.

POLICE

County Sheriff

– Don Vos, Hazel Run Road, Hammondsville, reported at 12:09 p.m. Friday he received a phone call from a 646 area code number with the caller telling him he won a $100 Walmart gift certificate. The caller, who spoke good English, then asked him for $4 from his Visa Card. He then called Walmart and the person stated they do not give money away and then ask people for money from their credit cards.

– Deputies checked on Robert Gelber, East Lake Road, Hanoverton, at the request of his daughter, who lives in Florida and was trying to reach him. He had his cell number changed and said he would call her.

– Tom Howell, state Route 518, Lisbon, reported at 5:56 p.m. Sunday someone removed the screws from his barn door last week. When he opened the door, it fell off. Someone also removed two screws to a window latch in back of the home. He also believes someone may have been tampering with the front door because the frame is loose. Motion cameras did activate at 6:30 a.m.

– Adam Tittle, state Route 344, Columbiana, reported at 5:57 p.m. Sunday at about 5:52 p.m. he heard a knock at the door and his ex-mother-in-law was there to pick up his daughter for visitation. He claimed his ex-mother-in-law began arguing with his girlfriend. Then his ex, Alyssa K. Smith, ran into the house and ran into him. He said he pushed her away and she began arguing with his girlfriend also. Both were asked to leave. The ex-mother-in-law carried his daughter out and Smith reportedly grabbed a bottle of shampoo, squirting it all over the kitchen, before leaving. At about 8 p.m., Smith went to the sheriff’s office to give her side of the story, stating her mother did not fight with Tittle’s girlfriend and she had walked in 10 seconds behind her mother. She claimed Tittle grabbed her by the arm and began pushing her out the door. They reportedly argued about him grabbing her and his girlfriend being around the child.

– Richard Lipps, Center Avenue, Lisbon, reported at 3:15 p.m. Sunday he had an argument with his roommate Jerry Metz and then Metz allegedly grabbed him by his jacket before telling him to leave. Lipps said Metz did not strike him or threaten him.

– A suspicious vehicle was reported in the parking lot for the Greenway Bike Trail off state Route 558 at 6:30 p.m. Sunday. Deputies found damage to the front of the vehicle and a note on the dash letting them know someone would be back to get the car. The owner was called and said he would remove it on Monday.

– Angel Hatley, state Route 39, Wellsville, reported at 10:56 p.m. Saturday she is being harassed by text message by a man in Illinois, the father of three of her children. He reportedly threatens to take her back to court for contempt.

– Monica Genshaw, state Route 558, Columbiana, reported at 4:06 p.m. Sunday she used to date Jim Fitzpatrick, but broke up with him in October. Then she claims he was harassing her on Facebook, so she blocked him. Now he is reportedly calling and sending text messages. Deputies called him and warned him not to call or text her anymore.

Lisbon

– Von H. Argyle of Grove City, Pa., came to the police station at 4:13 p.m. Nov. 9 asking for an officer to accompany him while he retrieved his vehicle from Green Tree Place apartments. Police did so after he produced a valid ID and proof of ownership.

– Robert Tinney, Jerome Street, reported Nov. 9 being harassed by Nicole Hilton, who he said keeps showing up at his home uninvited and also follows him when he is walking around town.

– A worker at Mary’s Pizza reported at 3:30 p.m. Saturday a customer asked them to call police because her husband was driving drunk. Police found the vehicle outside Subway and then followed the motorist home and he showed no signs of being drunk.

– Tom Boyd, North Market Street, reported there was a deer in his garage at 3:14 p.m. Thursday. Boyd said the deer had become entangled in all of the items he kept stored in the garage, so police told him to clear a path for the deer to leave and call back if this did not work.

– Jason Smith, North Market Street, reported Nov. 9 someone he knows vandalized and kicked his door. He declined to press charges but did not want held responsible for the damage.

– Josh Dilley reported following a reckless driver in town at 9:17 p.m. Nov. 9 and the driver just pulled into the Circle K. Police followed the motorist after he left the convenience store but did not observe any driving violations needed to initiate a traffic stop.

– Betty Miller reported someone just entered Nicole Hilton’s residence through a window at 5:07 p.m. Sunday. A person at the residence said all the people had been invited and denied that anyone had entered through a window.

– Police were called to a home on South Green Street, at 2:32 a.m. Sunday after the person who called reportedly ingested 20 amitriopyline pills. Police remained until an ambulance arrived to transport the person to a local hospital. Police had been called to the same residence about a half hour before by the same person, who said he was drunk and had just been in two fights at the Night Court bar. Upon arriving home, he said his wife began yelling at him. His wife said all they were trying to do was get him to bed.

– Police were called to a domestic dispute at 505 E. Lincoln Way at 6:10 p.m. Saturday, where a woman said she and her male companion had been arguing and nothing more. The woman’s daughter said the male, who had since left, grabbed her mother by the neck, but the mother denied this occurred.

– A resident of Applegrove Apartments reported Saturday afternoon that a neighbor in the apartment complex was bothering her and asking her to give him “stuff.” Police went to the apartment of the neighbor, but he was not home, and the girl was told to call back should he return.

– Police went to Applegrove Apartments on Nov. 7 while an ambulance crew transported a resident to a local hospital.

– Smoke Null reported there was a suspicious vehicle with no plates at the R & S Drilling property on West Washington Street at 10:10 a.m. Saturday. The vehicle was registered to Paul Toney of Carrollton and did not come back stolen. Attempts to contact Toney were unsuccessful.

– A caller complained about the smell of crack cocaine coming from his neighbor’s house on South Lincoln Avenue at 7:40 p.m. Nov. 9. The caller said he could smell and taste the crack cocaine coming from his neighbor’s home. Police could not detect any such odor and went to the house, but no one answered the door.

– A resident of North Market Street reported at 8 p.m. Sunday that his neighbor’s baby had been crying loudly for the last 45 minutes. Police went to the apartment and spoke with two women, who said the baby was teething and has a cold. The officer examined the baby, which stopped crying when he lifted it from the crib. The officer said the baby appeared fine.

– Police responded to a report of a car blocking a garage on West Washington Street at 11:30 p.m. Saturday. The vehicle owner, Heather R. Miller was inside and stated she was just leaving. Miller was told not to block any garages or driveways the next time she visits.

St. Clair Township

– Andrew Z. Green, Campground Road, reported his credit card stolen and used at several local businesses.

East Palestine

– Police conducted a welfare check on a Wheathill mobile park resident at 5:55 p.m. Sunday. There were no problems.

– Michelle Parker reported at 10:29 a.m. Sunday Nathan Wendell had punched his daughter, Morgan Parker, 28, Alice Street. Police investigated and found the incident actually happened on state Route 51 in Pennsylvania at Brady’s Run Park. Police called an ambulance to check on Parker and also contacted Pennsylvania state police.

Columbiana

– At 10:40 a.m. Sunday police received multiple phone calls in reference to a black Jeep Grand Cherokee going around town with the passenger exposing his buttocks in an attempt to “moon” passer-by. Police found the vehicle and warned the juvenile for his actions.

– A man reported at 11:27 a.m. Sunday there were suspicious people at a North Elm Street home and he didn’t believe anyone was supposed to be there. Police checked and found it was the homeowners.

– Glenn Grubb, Washington Street, reported at 1:21 p.m. Sunday he was fighting with his daughter. Police responded to the report and no one was arrested.

– A man reported at 7:18 p.m. Sunday the driver of a black Volkswagen Jetta with blacked out windows tried to get him to race on state Route 14 and then turned into the Huntington Bank parking lot. Police told the man to stay away from the vehicle.

– A woman reported at 8:23 p.m. Sunday a suspicious man looked like he was trying to get something out of the Graft Electric building. Police found the man was there to plow the snow and had a key to the lock.

East Liverpool

– Courtney R. Hissom, 32, East Liverpool Road, Lisbon, had stopped her vehicle Monday morning on St. Clair Avenue for a vehicle turning in front of her and her vehicle was struck from behind by a vehicle driven by Karen S. Crawford, 57, Minerva Street. No charges were reported, although officers noted Crawford was at fault.

Salem

– A tractor trailer pulled into an alley in the 400 block of West State Street at 12:45 p.m. Monday to drop off a delivery and pulled down cable and phone lines attached to a pole. The lines were removed from the alley pending repairs.

– Police responded to a report of lines down across the road in the 1700 block of North Ellsworth Avenue at 11:34 a.m. Monday. Upon arrival, a homeowner had already determined the line belonged to phone/Internet services. He tied the line up and out of the way of passing traffic pending repairs.

– Officers were called to Buckeye Elementary School at 11:22 a.m. Monday for a combative student. Upon arrival, the student was calming down and transported to Salem Regional Medical Center by KLG. A guardian was present and requested the medical transport.

– Police were called at 8:09 a.m. Monday to the 1000 block of Cleveland Street for a person to be removed. The male had already left and could not be found.

– Police were called for a medical at 2:29 a.m. Monday in the 600 block of East Sixth Street where a male said he was assaulted but was unsure if he wanted to pursue the matter. First responders and KLG Ambulance arrived on the scene and he was taken to the hospital for treatment.

– Police were dispatched at 7:56 p.m. Sunday to Kendrick’s Corner, 981 N. Ellsworth Ave., for a report of an intoxicated employee. An officer made contact with the only employee on the scene who said another employee had recently been sent home for possibly being intoxicated. The employee on scene was not intoxicated.

– An officer took possession of found property at 7:40 p.m. Sunday in the 200 block of South Lincoln Avenue. An identification card belonging to an Alliance High School student was found inside. Contact will be made with the school.

– A woman at Centennial Park reported at 7:30 p.m. Sunday that a male she knows threw food on the windshield and hood of her vehicle. The male admitted to throwing the food as a joke. She didn’t want to press charges or have him clean off the vehicle.

– A woman in the 2500 block of Lexington Avenue reported at 7:05 p.m. Sunday that her daughter’s boyfriend made threats towards her, according to her daughter.

– A loud explosion was reported at 6:58 p.m. Sunday on East State Street and Washington Avenue, but no loud noises were heard by police who checked the area.

– An illegally parked vehicle on Cleveland Street at 6:10 p.m. Sunday was moved by the owner.

– An illegally parked vehicle on East Ninth Street at 4:45 p.m. Sunday was moved by the owner.

– A man in the 100 block of North Lincoln Avenue called at 3:56 p.m. Sunday to report a .22-caliber revolver stolen from his residence. Several people had been in and out while he was away for a short time. An investigation is pending.

– A caller on Carole Drive at 2:30 p.m. Sunday reported a suspicious male in the neighborhood soliciting without a permit. The man was located on Merle at someone’s door. He was identified and told about the ordinance banning soliciting without a permit. A ride picked him up. He claimed he worked for the Vindicator and was surveying customers and trying to gain new ones. He was told to contact city hall for a permit.

– Police were called to check the well-being of a man at 1:06 p.m. Sunday at a city residence. He was okay, but said he made statements about wanting to harm himself. Fire department first responders and EMT arrived and he was taken to the hospital.

– A person in the 900 blockof East State Street called police at 12:40 p.m. Sunday for a missing/runaway juvenile and assisted with translating for a family. The juvenile left the family’s home at 4 p.m. Saturday and had not returned home. Officers will attempt to locate the juvenile.

– A bike was found in the bushes at South Lundy and Cedar at 12:15 p.m. Sunday.

– A New Waterford woman reported at 8:20 a.m. Sunday that someone left a note on her car who claimed to have done something to her vehicle in the Walmart parking lot. The vehicle appeared okay, but she wanted a report.

– A warning tag was left on a vehicle parked on East Fifth Street at 8:37 a.m. Sunday, telling the owner to move it.

– Levi Gorby, 26, of Brooklyn Avenue, was cited for assured clear distance after saying his brakes stopped working and his westbound vehicle struck the rear of another westbound vehicle driven by Lori Gudat, of Lenoir, N.C. on East State Street at 3:25 p.m. Saturday.

– Deanna Lynn Marie Hoppa, 21, Youngstown, was charged with driving while under the influence and possession of drug paraphernalia following a traffic stop at state Route 165 and Seacrist Road at 7:12 p.m. Friday for traveling left of center.

– Joan Deem, state Route 267, East Liverpool, reported at 10:39 a.m. Saturday she saw a man wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and walking a dog steal a newspaper out of her mailbox, and when she confronted him he dropped the paper on the road. Deem reported she last saw the man walking on Fairway Road. Police checked the area but did not find him.

– Gloria Ice, Tomahawk Drive, Negley, reported at 4:54 p.m. Friday she had her roof replaced by Cannon Construction due to hail damage and her insurance was paying for the cost, and when she received the insurance check she used some of the money to fix her septic and Cannon completed the work and was now wanting the money, which is $3,000, and she advised them she had just received another check and it would clear the bank on Monday and she would pay them. She said the company began threatening her and told her to sign the title of her pontoon boat over to them for collateral, which she did, but she requested they leave her alone until Monday when she could pay the bill. A deputy attempted to contact the owner of the company but they could not be reached.

– A deputy responded at 10:33 a.m. Sunday to Meadowbrook Nursery on Route 164 north of Lisbon for a report of someone yelling and blowing a whistle. The deputy found kids next to the nursery yelling and playing with a whistle.

Shelly Griffiin, Georgetown-Damascus Road, Beloit, reported at 10:52 p.m. Sunday someone stole a 3- by 4-four foot sign advertising her business, Country Clips and Family Hair Care, from her front yard.

– A man voluntarily went to the Salem hospital for an evaluation after threatening to harm himself while in a dispute with his mother at her home on Campbell Road, Hanoverton, at 3 p.m. Sunday.

– Debra R. Scott, 55, Old Fredericktown Road, East Liverpool, hit a deer on state Route 165 in Unity Township at 4:55 p.m. Saturday.

– Tara Reve Reed, 29, state Route 154, Elkton, was eastbound on U.S. 30 in Lisbon at 4 p.m. Saturday and stopped at a stop light and was struck from behind by Perry Henry Bayley III, 78, Millersburg. Bayley was cited for assured clear distance.

– Matthew J. Doerschuk, 48, Freeman Road, Lisbon, hit a cow while driving on Lisbon Road in Center Township at 6 p.m. Wednesday.

Columbiana

– Police checked on two suspicious vehicles at Jet O Chem on Wardingly Avenue at 1:14 a.m. Saturday. It was discovered the vehicles belonged to employees on site who were leaving soon.

– Police assisted a motorist with a disabled vehicle at the state Route 7 and 14 intersection at 7:47 a.m. Saturday. The occupants were able to get a ride home from a passing motorist.

East Palestine

– Pamela Canterbury, East North Avenue, brought her juvenile son to the police station at 2:59 p.m. Tuesday so he could report he was being harassed.

– A Circle K employee reported at 11:29 p.m. Tuesday someone attempted to pass a counterfeit $10 bill. Police confiscated the bill so it could be turned over to the U.S. Secret Service, which investigates counterfeit money.

– An officer at 12:41 a.m. Sunday spoke to a woman at the station regarding a juvenile complaint. She was told to contact juvenile court if she wants to press unruly charges.

– A woman in the 1300 block of East State Street reported at 9:51 p.m. Saturday that she and her husband were having a dispute regarding property. Both were given options. They were not identified.

– Loud persons were reported at 9:17 p.m. Saturday in the 800 block of East Third Street. A woman who was not identified in one of the apartments said they were having a birthday party. She was told to keep the volume down.

– An officer on patrol at 8:53 p.m. Saturday saw an open door on a closed business in the 100 block of Continental Drive. The interior was checked and found secure. Officers secured the door and left a message for the key holder about the situation.

– A possible intoxicated driver was reported at 6:45 p.m. Saturday in the 900 block of West State Street. The driver, who was not identified was contacted and there was no sign of intoxication.

– Police were called at 3:41 p.m. Saturday to the 1300 block of Jennings Avenue where a man said a window was broken. An officer saw the window which appeared to have been broken by something round thrown at it. No object was found. The property owner was notified.

– Deputies responded to a house on Greenwood Road in Elkrun Township at 5:46 p.m. Friday for a vehicle reported stripped at the property of Ron Desimone. Deputies spoke with Desimone’s brother, Steve, who said they did not know who owned the 2004 Jeep Laredo, which did not have tires or catalytic converter and was stolen from St. Clair Township. Deputies then spoke with the vehicle’s owner, Douglas Pridemore, East Third Street, Salem, and advised him that Baker’s Towing has the vehicle.

– Amy Delauder, Johnson Road, Lisbon, reported at 11:15 a.m. Saturday she kicked Sherry Bredeck out of the home of Delauder’s grandmother. Delauder said Bredeck was staying at Delauder’s grandmother’s home on and off, and Delauder noticed items missing. Bredeck, meanwhile, called 11 minutes later and said she left some items at the house and needed to pick them up.

– Sandra E. Morris, 52, Crestview Road, Columbiana, hit a deer on state Route 46 in Unity Township at 10:15 p.m. Thursday.

– Jerry M. Simchak, 38, West Texas Avenue, Sebring, and Paul E. Jarvis, 56, Bethesda Road, Hanoverton, were both traveling south on Knox School Road in Knox Township at 4:20 p.m. Friday. Jarvis attempted to pass Simchak when the two collided. Due to inconsistent statements, lack of road evidence and lack of independent witnesses, no citations were issued.

– Matthew J. Abruzzi, 41, Warren, hit a deer on state Route 11 in Fairfield Township at 6 a.m. Tuesday.

Columbiana

– Doris McGaffe, South Bayshore Street, reported at 12:43 a.m. Friday she believed there was an intruder in her house. Officers checked the house but did not find any intruder or signs of forced entry.

– Police were called to an East Park Avenue business at 6:05 a.m. Friday after the alarm went off. It was discovered that an animal found its way inside and set off the alarm. Everything else inside was found in good working order.

– Laurie Nolan reported at 9:07 a.m. Friday a dog out in the area of Fairfield Avenue and Fairfield School Road that had been out since 6 a.m. and keeps barking.

– A male caller reported at 11:42 a.m. Friday a red vehicle parked in front of Mercantile on the Square caused his vehicle to have to go left of center. An officer determined the vehicle was legally parked, and advised the shop owner of the complaint.

– A man reported at 1:44 p.m. Friday he received what he thought was a scam call from a man named John Malone saying the man won money from Publisher’s Clearing House. When the man began to question Malone, Malone reportedly became verbally abusive.

– A Circle K employee reported at 8 p.m. Friday that Christopher Helsel, 20, Youngstown, was in the store when he was not supposed to be. Helsel was advised never to return to the store.

– Jeremy Martin reported at 7 p.m. Friday he has received unwanted texts and calls from his ex-girlfriend, Melissa Cone of Campbell, and wanted a warning issued to her.

Salem Township

– Sheila D. McClish, Old Route 558, Salem, reported at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday that on several occasions someone removed mail from her mailbox as well as medical supplies.

Salem

– Matthew Campanelli, 39, of 860 E. Sixth St., was charged with OVI, driving under suspension (child support) and disobeying a traffic signal after a traffic stop at 2:50 a.m. Saturday. His passenger, Kaylee Izenour, 18, of 11755 Washingtonville Road, Salem, was charged with underage consumption. Both were charged and released. A police report said an officer noticed an intoxicated person in a vehicle parked on Penn Avenue and told the person to call for a ride and not drive the vehicle. Within a couple of minutes, the person was seen making a traffic violation and was stopped on East State Street near North Ellsworth Avenue. The vehicle was in a no parking zone in front of a fire hydrant and towed from the scene.

– A case of animal neglect was reported at 5:25 p.m. Friday in the 400 block of East Euclid Street. An animal was found in the back yard of a property inside a fenced area with no shelter or clean water. Contact was made with the owner who was told to take the animal inside and that charges will be filed if police receive more complaints. The humane officer will be made aware of the situation. The owner was not identified.

– Two young boys were reported walking alone in the area of Franklin Avenue and Ohio Avenue at 11:23 p.m. Friday. Officers located them on Maple near South Union walking from one of their houses to the other person’s house. Police made sure they entered the residence and told them about the city curfew ordinance.

– A domestic was reported at 5:44 p.m. Friday in the 100 block of Woodland Avenue where a 14-year-old girl was placed in custody for domestic violence after it was determined she struck two family members during a dispute. She was processed and released to another family member.

– A woman in the 500 block of Walnut Street called for harassment at 11:10 a.m. Friday, reported that an upstairs tenant took a picture of a visiting nurse, went out and was looking at her vehicle, then came back inside and wanted to know if she had a stove for sale. Police talked to the upstairs tenant who was making accusations of activity downstairs. He was told the nurse did not want him to have her picture so he deleted it from his phone. He asked the officer if he had a stove for sale and he said no. He then asked to come to the officer’s residence to cook his food and was told no. He said he would just have to eat cold pizza. The nurse was advised the picture was deleted. The people denied the things the upstairs tenant was claiming. None of the people were identified.

Salem

– During a traffic stop at 5:36 a.m. Saturday in the 100 block of South Broadway Avenue, police conducted a consent search on a vehicle, with no signs of contraband found. The motorist was issued warnings for speeding and an equipment violation.

– An officer on patrol at 12:21 a.m. Saturday in the 700 block of Arch Street heard a male and female arguing. Both said it was a verbal dispute only. The female was leaving and both said there would be no more yelling.

– A medical emergency was reported at 11:30 p.m. Friday in the 1300 block of East State Street. The fire department had to force entry and the male was taken by ambulance to a hospital for an unknown medical problem.

– A ticket was issued for a vehicle parked in a no parking zone in the 100 block of Highland Avenue at 9:34 p.m. Friday.

– Police were called at 8:01 p.m. Friday to the 300 block of Roosevelt Avenue for a girl who attempted to harm herself. The fire department and an ambulance responded and she was transported to Salem Regional Medical Center for evaluation.

– Police responded at 7:58 p.m. Friday to the 100 block of Railroad Street to check on a female and child. The caller said the female was planning to walk a long distance with the child and the child was not properly dressed for a walk in cold weather. An officer spoke to the female, who said she had a ride on the way.

– An illegally parked vehicle found in the 900 block of Homewood at 6:34 p.m. Friday was moved by the owner.

– An illegally parked vehicle reported at 5:21 p.m. Friday in the 800 block of East Fifth Street was moved by the owner.

– Police were called at 4:30 p.m. Friday for an illegally parked vehicle in the 2500 block of Lexington Avenue where a blue Chevy Blazer was found parked sideways in the street. The owner reported the vehicle broke down. The vehicle was pushed into a legal parking space so the owner could make repairs.

– Police went with a Children Services representative at 1:31 p.m. Friday to a residence in the 500 block of Woodland while the rep talked with some parents. There was no problem. The agency is handling the matter.

– An employee of a business at 2708 E. State St. reported at 1:35 p.m. Friday that a generator was stolen from the property.

– A man in the 300 block of East Fifth Street called at 12:24 p.m. Friday about a vehicle parking directly in front of his house. The vehicle was not illegally parked. The owner of the vehicle was not home, but a note was left on the door asking them to call police.

– Karen Reidy, Dyke Road, Rogers, reported at 12:56 p.m. Friday she is concerned about her son.

– Dan Cunningham, an AT&T employee, reported at 12:28 p.m. Friday someone stole 450 feet of phone cable along Sprucevale Road, by cutting it from the telephone poles.

– Ronald Thrasher, 18th Street Heights, Wellsville, reported at 3:15 p.m. Friday he wanted someone to speak to his 15-year-old daughter about her behavior. Deputies told him to contact the prosecutor at the juvenile court about filing unruly charges.

– Cindy Leavitte, Butler, Pa., reported at 9:27 a.m. Friday someone entered her mother and stepfather’s home and stole items. Her stepfather had passed away and her mother is in a facility for dementia. A neighbor of their home in Hanover Township told her there were people at the home removing items from the garbage. She believed they may be related to the stepfather, but she wanted deputies to check the property.

-An accident was reported at 2:44 p.m. Thursday in the parking lot of Southern Local High School, where a juvenile driver, Austin Knight, was reportedly backing his pickup from a parking space and struck a parked pickup owned by Karianne Sevek.

– Robert Gebler, Eastlake Road, Lisbon, reported at 3:02 p.m. Thursday a black 55-gallon barrel of fuel was taken from his property. The barrel was half full and had extra fuel oil for furnace written on the top. It may have been taken through a gap in the fence, which had been covered with plywood, but now the plywood was missing.

– Cindy Burger, state Route 172, Minerva, reported at 9:44 a.m. Thursday her 15-year-old son left home on Wednesday and had not returned as of Thursday. He was expelled from Minerva schools on Tuesday and she heard him leave on Wednesday. She went looking for him and found him walking on Stump Road, but he refused to get into her car and told her he was going to Minerva. She had attempted to locate him by calling his friends, but they claimed not to have seen him. He was entered into the missing person computer. Burger later called deputies to report he had been located and was home.

– John Kanos, Waynesbridge Road, Lisbon, reported at 3:54 p.m. Friday an officer Wilson had called and asked for his daughter. When Kanos said she was not there, the “officer” became very belligerent over the phone. Deputies explained it was a scam and if this person calls back, Kanos should not give him any information.

– Robert D. Gerner, 64, Cross Street, Columbiana, was north on state Route 164 in Wayne Township at 6:10 p.m. Tuesday and was struck by a vehicle that was westbound on state Route 518 and failed to stop at a stop sign. The other vehicle continued on.

– Jacob L. Sanor, 25, Laughlin Road, Lisbon, was south on Trinity Church Road in Hanover Township at 4:25 p.m. Wednesday and went off the right side into a utility pole. He was cited for failure to control.

– Kathryn M. Palmer, 67, Sprucevale Road, East Liverpool, and Melinda Sue Price, 25, Newell, W.Va., were north on state Route 170 in St. Clair Township at 1:20 p.m. Tuesday and Palmer was stopped in traffic and was struck from behind by Price. No citations were issued.

– Dennis R. Tope, 63, Waynesburg, Ohio, hit a deer on U.S. 30 in West Township at 6:50 p.m. Thursday.

– Harold O. Sallaz, 80, state Route 46, New Waterford, was south on state Route 7 in Fairfield Township at 4:45 p.m. Thursday and went off the left side into a culvert, a mailbox and a tree. He was cited for failure to control and taken to the Salem hospital with minor injuries.

– Robert D. Fletcher, 67, state Route 14, East Palestine, was west on state Route 154 in Middleton Township at 7:30 a.m. Thursday when his vehicle was struck by an unknown object.

– Jonney L. Stanton, 71, 7th Street, Salem, was south on Woodsdale Road in Butler Township at 2 p.m. Monday and struck Amy L. Henderson, 46, Kensington, who was north on Woodsdale and passing over a one lane bridge. Stanton was cited for lanes of travel.

East Palestine

– Police went to the high school on West Grant Street at 9 a.m. Friday for a report of an altercation between two female students. The case remains under investigation and will be forwarded to the juvenile court upon completion of that investigation.

– Jeffrey Thomas Gabriel Sayer reported at 3 a.m. Friday he wrecked his Suzuki motorcycle somewhere in Darlington, Pa. and he did not have a motorcycle endorsement and was consuming alcohol, and believed he may have broken his shoulder. EMS were called and Sayer was taken to the hospital. Pennsylvania police confirmed the motorcycle was involved in a hit and run and charges would filed through Pennsylvania.

Columbiana

– Police checked on a report of a suspicious vehicle in the First Christian Church parking lot at 2:53 a.m. Thursday.

– Police went to 42083 West Park Ave. at 4:19 a.m. Thursday after receiving two 911 hang-up calls, but did not see any problems.

– A man reported at 3:28 p.m. Thursday people in two cars were breaking into a foreclosed house on North Elm Street that the bank had boarded up. Police checked and found a real estate agent was showing the home to a potential buyer.

– A woman reported at 4:13 p.m. Thursday someone in a white SUV heading into the city was weaving within its lane. Police checked the area but did not find the vehicle.

– A man reported at 10 p.m. Thursday a suspicious vehicle was parked in the Space Center parking lot with its lights out. Police checked but the vehicle was gone.

Lisbon

– Police went to 133 N. Market St. at 10:56 p.m. Thursday for a report that two adults were arguing and highly intoxicated and there was an 11-month-old child inside the apartment. Police spoke to Vernon Ballard who said he and his wife Rachel Townsend-Ballard, 26, had been drinking for the last four hours. He and his wife became disorderly with the officers during the call and police suggested they separate from one another for the evening. While waiting for Mrs. Ballard’s mother to pick her up she became irate and started screaming and using profanity toward the officers. When her mother arrived she then began screaming at her, and her mother told police her daughter has had similar problems in the past. Police repeatedly told Mrs. Ballard to calm down or she would be charged but she refused. Police then attempted to place her in custody but she resisted and knocked a picture from the wall breaking the glass in the frame. She then grabbed a piece of the broken glass and reportedly attempted to cut herself with it during the arrest, and refused to drop the glass after police told her to, at which point an officer deployed a Taser and commanded her to drop the glass or she would be stunned. She continued to refuse and was then stunned and cited for disorderly conduct, resisting arrest causing physical harm to an officer and knife/cutting instruments.

Salem

– Phyllis McKinley, Salem, dropped off at the police station a back pack that a friend had found at an unknown location at 3:45 p.m. Thursday.

– Officers responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle parked in front of a private drive in the 1100 block of East Third Street at 7:31 p.m. Thursday.

– An officer responded to a North Ellsworth Avenue home at 10:30 p.m. Thursday where an ambulance had been requested. A woman was transported to the Salem Regional Medical Center.

– Craig W. Wilson, 41, 14157 Western Reserve Road, Salem, was cited for driving under suspension following a traffic stop on state Route 14 near Seacrist Road at 3:24 p.m. Thursday.

– Rachel Hartman, Rose Drive, Lisbon, reported at 11:36 p.m. Tuesday someone was pounding on the walls. Deputies did not hear any noises and knocked on several doors, but no one answered.

– James Sevek, Clarks Mill Road, Hammondsville, reported at 6:29 a.m. Wednesday there was a car sitting in the roadway on Clarks Mill just north of state Route 39. A red Ford Focus was found sitting in the middle of the northbound lane and deputies saw it appeared a tie rod was broken. A tow truck was called to remove the car.

– Priscilla Clark, McKee Road, Wellsville, reported at 9:22 a.m. Wednesday she found her window shattered and did not know how it happened.

Highway Patrol

– Denise K. McDevitt, 59, West Lincoln Way, Lisbon, hit a deer on state Route 45 in Salem at 6:40 a.m. Wednesday.

– Robert L. Clewell, 72, Teegarden Road, Lisbon, was eastbound on U.S. 30 in Center Township at 10:40 a.m. Wednesday when a westbound vehicle went left of center and sideswiped him. The vehicle continued on.

Carman, and he refused to let anyone inside and then slammed the door in the officer’s face. Shortly after he told police he was not going to return the clothes until the next day when everything had calmed down. Police told Donley to go to work that evening and try again the next day.

– Someone cutting grass at 909 W. Martin St. reported at 10 a.m. Thursday it appeared a door had been kicked in at the home. Police checked and found the basement door appeared to have been removed and a basement window was also broken out.

Columbiana

– A Valero employee reported at 10:10 p.m. Wednesday a man passed out a couple times inside the store and then again outside. The man then got into a vehicle with someone and left.

East Liverpool

– Jessica Welsh, Prospect Street, reported she and her boyfriend, Luke Morris, are being harassed by a woman they know about their pit bull. She said the harassment has escalated to the woman peeling out of their driveway, throwing rocks on their vehicle, and posting information about their family on Facebook. She was advised to see the law director.

– Amber Torres, West Ninth Street, reported she is in the process of moving and someone broke into the house through a window. Taken were a DVR Box, 300 DVDs and metal fireplace covers,with a fire built in the fireplace in Torres’ bedroom. A guitar was left behind in the house, apparently by the person who broke in.

– Charles S. Taylor, West Seventh Street, returned home to find the back door kicked in, although entry was apparently not made.

– Officers were called to the intersection of Pennsylvania and Virginia avenues for a suspected overdose, and found a man exhibiting symptoms of heroin abuse. He was transported by Tri-County Ambulance to the hospital, and the passenger in the man’s vehicle advised police there was paraphernalia inside the vehicle. They reported finding a can with suspected heroin residue. The victim also had a syringe in his possession, they reported.

– Terry Sprague, West Fifth Street, reported seeing a man kicking his dog and, when she spoke to him about it, said he told her to mind her own business. He then began screaming at her and threatened her when she followed him, later driving past her home and beeping the horn. Sprague was able to provide the man’s name to police.

– Carisa L. Smith, Heights Manor, reported her check stolen from her vehicle.

– Tracy L. Rockey, Denver Street, reported the bedliner taken from her ex-husband’s truck while it was parked behind her residence where her son had left it.

– Kimberly D. Rawson, no address listed, reported her vehicle was at W.C. Bunting when she saw a man she recognized near it then run off. She found the window smashed out and her purse missing. Rawson located the man and confronted him but said he told her if she saw him do these things, why hadn’t she stopped him.

– Christina L. Peachey, Maryland Street, reported her vehicle entered and the glove box handle damaged, as well as cigarette ashes left behind.

– David Newlin, Lincoln Avenue, reported a woman he knows came to his apartment and asked him to go to the basement to check on a waterline break. When he returned, a package left at his apartment by the USPS was missing.

– Christopher Morrison, Palissey Street, returned home to find an Xbox missing.

– While taking care of a patient on Lincoln Avenue, Robin L. Merriman reported hearing a loud noise and going out to find her vehicle damaged, possibly over an on-going parking dispute.

– Angela M. Latshaw reported someone dumping furniture on Vine Street property where her house once stood.

– Louis Volino reported several juveniles possibly trying to break into vehicles in the parking lot of Casa de Emanuel. When confronted, they fled.

– A man asked employees at Crawford’s Market to check a $20 bill to determine if it was counterfeit and it was. He said a woman who has been staying with him gave it to him.

– Rental property on Oakwood Avenue owned by Brian D. Curtis reportedly had several items taken, including a washer and dryer and metal shed.

– Rodney L. Davis, Holiday Street, reported coming home to find his vehicle missing and all his clothing thrown in his brother’s yard. He and his brother located his vehicle.

– An officer responding to a report of a woman and her children living in poor conditions on Bradshaw Avenue found the house in “deplorable” condition, with a foul odor, dog feces, dirty clothing and moldy dishes throughout. He said the woman herself was dirty when she answered the door and said she showed him a room where she and the children slept on a mattress on the floor, where there were beer cans lying about and her purse containing Suboxone was on the floor within reach of the children. The officer notified Children’s Services and also notified a relative of the woman, telling them the children will live with them until she improves their living conditions. The children’s schools were also notified.

– A man known to employees as “Chip” entered the Dollar General and took a quart of oil before fleeing. Officers were able to identify him through the surveillance video.

– Dr. Scott Grosser reported receiving several threatening calls from the owner of a construction company regarding work done at his St. Clair Avenue office. He wanted the calls documented.

– Tracy Graham, Wilbert Avenue, reported her live-in boyfriend took her food stamp card and EPPI card. He agreed to return them.

– Douglas Keyser, Pennsylvania Avenue, reported pulling into his property and seeing a man he knows taking copper wire. The man fled in a vehicle.

– Employees at Walmart reported a man giving them a hard time, and after officers determined he had no outstanding warrants, the man was served with a no trespassing order, after which he left the property.

– Casey R. Carter, 22, no address listed, was charged with criminal trespass after Walmart personnel reported him being in the store when he is on the no trespass list.

– Haley N. Walz, 19, no address listed, reported her ex-boyfriend has been harassing her for the past four months. They ended the relationship after the birth of their daughter seven months prior, she told police.

– Personnel at the CAA Community Health Center on St. Clair Avenue reported a man told them he had stabbed someone prior to his appointment, then handed them some knives.

– Luke A. Barr, no address listed, reported his vehicle broken into in Chester, W.Va., and his credit card then used at the Calcutta Walmart.

– Sonia L. Reed, Cornell Street, reported her daughter took a Wii, two controllers and an iPod from her home and she believes they are at the Calcutta Game Stop. Reed needed a police report in order to get information from the store about the items.

– Officers responded to J.C. Penney where Caura L. Speece, no address listed, reported the theft of her wallet and use of her credit card. It was also used at Walmart.

– Brian E. Williams, Grimm’s Bridge Road, reported his mailbox burned down.

Wellsville

– An 18th Street woman who was not named reported Saturday she argued with Tiffany Franklin, who was yelling at her for setting off fireworks in the back yard. She said Franklin punched her in the eye. Franklin was arrested for assault.

– A Commerce Street woman who was not named reported Nov. 7 her car was entered. Her Ohio EBT card was taken while other items – pharmacy discount cards, Chase bank card and a pink bag – were found in the alley.

– A driver who was not named hit a deer Saturday on state Route 45 near the state Route 7 ramp.

– An 18th Street woman who was not named reported Nov. 7 that someone broke in and tampered with a safe, but nothing appeared missing.

– A Wood Street woman who was not named reported Nov. 7 someone drove through her yard, damaging it. She thinks she knows the culprit.

Leetonia

– On Nov. 1, police inves-tigated a dispute between brothers on Main and a theft report on Columbia.

– Michael Hover Jr., 24, last of Fair Avenue, Salem, was arrested on a county warrant at 5:50 p.m. Monday on High Street.

Salem

– Police responded twice to a home on East Third Thursday. A woman reported a man she knows came when nobody was home and destroyed her TV, dining room chairs, living room furniture (throwing it outside on the sidewalk), bedroom dressers and living room lamps. The back door appeared to be kicked in. She also said Christmas presents bought for the grandchildren were gone. She said the man sent a text claiming he did it and took the presents to Goodwill. She also said she’s being evicted because of the man’s behavior. Information will be sent to the prosecutor for review. She was told how to seek a protection order. Later in the day, the woman called police back, saying the estranged live-in boyfriend was pushing the children, who are adults. He was bleeding from the left shoulder and said another male struck him with a brick. An officer told all involved that sorting out who belongs there and who doesn’t was a civil issue. None of the people were identified.

– Kyle Madison, 21, of Kennedy Drive, was cited for open container after a traffic stop at 1:22 a.m. Thursday on South Ellsworth and Railroad Street. During the stop, the officer noticed the passengers moving about and discovered they were trying to conceal alcoholic beverages. Two open containers were recovered and Madison claimed them.

– Claire Lukachick of Beaver Falls, Pa. reported Wednesday she had her oil changed at a business in the 2300 block of East State and an item was missing from her vehicle. Police checked with several employees and no one had the item in question. They were told to check around the business and she was told to check multiple places to see if the item was misplaced and call police if it’s found.

– Murphy USA, East State, reported a $25.01 drive-off at 5:53 p.m. Wednesday.

Salem

– Police responded at 3:16 p.m. Thursday to the 400 block of Vine Avenue for keys locked in a vehicle with a child inside. An officer gained entry.

– A man on East Fifth Street reported at 2:44 p.m. Thursday that he believed a female he knows came to the residence and removed a washer and dryer. His estranged mother-in-law had wanted to come earlier to pick them up, but he said he wouldn’t be home until later. His ex left a message saying that wouldn’t work for her mother.

-Police checked on a resident in the 500 block of Walnut Street at 10:50 a.m. Thursday. He said he was fine and didn’t need medical attention.

– Police assisted Perry Township Police with traffic control on Snyder Road where a jack-knifed semi tractor trailer became stuck in the mud off the road and was blocking the road. Davidson’s Towing responded and pulled the semi back on the road.

– An alarm activation was reported at BB Rooners on East State Street at 12:38 a.m. Thursday. The exterior was checked and found secure.

– Police were called at 11:15 p.m. Wednesday to the 300 block of Newgarden Avenue where it was reported a mattress had been set on fire in the area. The fire was out upon arrival. Nobody was located.

– Officers at 10:38 p.m. Wednesday saw a vehicle with a headlight on parked at the rear of the Norfolk Southern building near the South Ellsworth Avenue train crossing. Officers stopped to check and found the vehicle secured and unoccupied. An unsecured door was found, with an employee inside.

– A man in the 500 block of East Third Street spoke with officers on South Broadway at 10:38 p.m. Wednesday regarding an investigation being handled by a different agency. He was told to talk to the other agency.

– Loud people reported at 9:13 p.m. Wednesday in the 100 block of South Howard said they would keep the noise down.

– A man at 8:17 p.m. Wednesday reported a possible fraudulent transaction with a person on the computer. He was told to contact the police agency where he resides.

– A possible domestic was reported at 8:13 p.m. Wednesday between occupants in a black vehicle in the 2800-2900 block of East State Street. They were found at a gas station. A boyfriend and girlfriend had a verbal dispute, resulting in the male passenger striking and cracking the windshield. No threats or violence occurred. Both agreed there would be no further problems and left together.

– An officer at 7:47 p.m. Wednesday saw a vehicle parked near a vacant building along Pennsylvania Avenue where there’s normally no vehicles. It was unoccupied and the building was found secure.

– A suspicious vehicle was reported at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday in the 900 block of East Sixth Street. Two vehicles were allegedly stopping in front of a residence and driving up and down the street. The vehicles were not found.

– Police responded to the 400 block of Continental Drive at 6:27 p.m. Wednesday for a possible overdose of pills. First Responders and EMT Ambulance arrived and a female was taken to Salem Regional Medical Center.

– Police were called at 5:59 p.m. Wednesday to Walmart to assist in looking for a missing adult. A woman said she and her husband came to the store and he went missing. Police made contact with the male who said he was at home.

– Police were called at 5:21 p.m. Wednesday to the 500 block of Jennings Avenue for a possible missing juvenile who had not returned home from school. The father called and said the juvenile was found at a friend’s residence.

– A parking complaint was reported at 5:18 p.m. Wednesday in the 900 block of Jones Drive. The vehicle was parked in Perry Township, so township police were notifed.

– Kelly Rylott, Bye Road, East Palestine, reported at 4:09 p.m. Tuesday she returned home and found her boyfriend, Charles Ken Emmanuel, unresponsive on the kitchen floor. East Palestine EMS and the county coroner were called to the home.

– A Lisbon area woman reported at 10:15 a.m. Tuesday someone called one of her co-workers and told her she owes the person money and if she did not contact them they were going to send the police. Deputies explained this is a scam and they do not come after people for money owed.

– Joseph Robb, Richardson Avenue, Negley, reported at 12:51 p.m. Friday he and his wife, Rachel Robb, lived at the home, but have been separated for more than a year. Someone entered the home and took the kitchen table, chairs, living room couch, love seat and chairs. The rest of the house appeared to have been ransacked. It was learned the wife did take some of the items from the home about a week earlier. Both were told to contact attorneys about dividing marital assets.

– Troopers are looking for the driver of a vehicle who was southeastbound on Dutchtown School Road in Elkrun Township at 10 a.m. Wednesday and went off the right side into an embankment and a small tree. The vehicle is owned by Roy Moffet Jr., who reported it as stolen the day before.

– Dylan M. McDevitt, 20, state Route 558, hit a deer on U.S. 30 in Hanover Township at 4:50 a.m. Wednesday.

East Palestine

– Emery Coon was pulling out of a garage on West Martin Street at 4 p.m. Nov. 5 and struck a vehicle driven by Shawn Beamer, who had turned onto Davis Alley from Brookdale.

– Nancy C. Wood, East Taggart Street, reported at 11 a.m. Sunday trash from 383 E. Taggart St. was blowing into other yards. Police went to the home and told the residents to clean up the trash, as they had already been warned for the problem last week.

– Terry L. Jackson, West Street, reported at 1:33 p.m. Sunday a couple of her pumpkins were smashed during the night and a neighbor’s stair railing was broken and another neighbor’s car was struck with eggs and had ketchup smeared all over it.

Columbiana

– At 8:41 a.m. Tuesday police received a tip that a person with an outstanding warrant was at a home n Richards Avenue. Police checked but did not find the person.

– A woman reported at 11:55 a.m. Tuesday a vehicle hit the underpass on Lisbon Street. Police found no crash had occurred but the vehicle’s tarp had blown off and got caught in the underpass.

– A West Salem Street woman reported at noon Tuesday she was receiving harassing phone calls from a person in Kentucky who had been stalking her sister-in-law. Police made contact with the suspect’s employer and advised them of the problem.

– A Radio Shack employee reported at 2:10 p.m. Tuesday someone had shoplifted in the store in Village Plaza on Monday.

– The sheriff’s office requested at 3:23 p.m. Tuesday police check on a report of a suspicious man standing in area of West Salem Street and Old Route 14 for 15 to 20 minutes every day. Police went to the location but the man was not there.

– A Whispering Pines employee reported at 5 p.m. Tuesday someone took two flag stakes worth $60 each from the property.

St. Clair Township

– After hearing radio traffic about a white SUV with Michigan license plates leaving Heights Manor inside city limits at a high rate of speed, a township officer spotted the vehicle in question an stopped it in Glenmoor. The driver, Cortez Roberts, 24, Detroit, denied being in the housing complex, saying he isn’t allowed there. An East Liverpool patrolman responded to the scene, and Roberts was told to exit the car but reportedly rolled up the windows and locked the doors, saying he wanted to speak to his attorney. After he rolled down a window, the township officer put his arms through the window and ordered him out again. The officers managed to pull Roberts from the vehicle, reporting they saw him throw something inside. His passenger, Brittney N. Vincent, 26, North Shady Lane, reportedly jumped into the driver’s seat and started the engine and officers handcuffed her after ordering her to turn off the motor. Roberts was reportedly found with marijuana in his shorts and was cited by the township officer with possession of marijuana, while the city officer charged him with criminal trespass and obstructing official business. Vincent was not charged.

– Officers responded to JC Penney for a man inside the store who had reportedly used a stolen credit card at the store the previous day. After approaching the man inside the store, he reportedly swung at an officer and ran out of the store. Officers ended up in a foot pursuit on McGuffey Drive toward Dresden Avenue in a wooded area. The man was spotted near a vehicle stopped in the middle of the road with injuries to his leg. He was taken to the ground and handcuffed with the assistance of city detectives. The man was identified as Kevin S. Neeley, Florence Street, who officers reported had several credit cards, four of which belonged to Carey Stotler, Pennsylvania Avenue, who had reported her car broken into. He also had an outstanding warrant from Municipal Court. Neeley was transported by Lifeteam Ambulance to the hospital for his leg injury that occurred when he fell over the embankment while allegedly trying to elude from officers. He was charged with obstructing official business.

Perry Township

– A 12-year-old boy was charged with delinquent unruliness related to domestic violence after allegedly pushing his grandmother to the ground, hurting her, on West Perry at 8 p.m. Tuesday.

Salem

– A woman on Park Avenue called at 12:19 p.m. Tuesday to report a theft that previously occurred at her residence. She had allowed a male and female to reside with her for a short time until she discovered they had been stealing. On Tuesday, she and an officer went to Cashland where it was discovered the male had pawned jewelry and a leaf blower belonging to her. A detailed list was being obtained of the property so she could retrieve her belongings. Charges are pending. No names were provided.

– A clerk at Circle K East, 1125 E. State St., reported at 1:17 a.m. Wednesday that a driver’s license was left by a patron. The license was placed in the police lost and found.

– Police responded at 10:34 p.m. Tuesday to the 1100 block of Maple Street for a hit/skip accident which left three parked vehicles damaged. The vehicle at fault left the scene, but was located. Tim Tomar, 38, of Southeast Boulevard, was cited for driving under suspension, hit/skip leaving the scene and failure to maintain reasonable control. The driver side mirror of a vehicle owned by Darla Thomas of Wellsville was damaged, along with the driver side door of a vehicle owned by Chad Bash of Maple Street and the rear and driver side front fender of a vehicle owned by Kayla Bash of Maple Street. Tomar was driving a vehicle owned by Doreen Benning of Southeast Boulevard which sustained front and passenger side damage.

– Matthew Griffith, Woodland Avenue, reported Tuesday someone entered his vehicle the night before and stole several items.

– Bruce Luxeuil, West Wilson Street, reported at 1:56 p.m. Tuesday someone broke the front windshield of his vehicle when it was parked at the rear of his residence. An officer saw two different spots that were damaged and appeared to have been hit with a rock and possibly a BB gun. No other vehicles in the area were damaged.

– A woman in the 900 block of West Wilson Street reported a civil matter at 12:58 p.m. Wednesday, saying that she was staying at the residence with a friend and the friend told her she had to leave due to a family illness. She was collecting her things and trying to find a ride so she could leave.

– A woman in the 300 block of North Lundy Avenue reported at 6:53 a.m. Wednesday that her mother’s ex-boyfriend broke one of the bedroom windows.

– An officer at 4:55 a.m. Wednesday found that someone threw bagged leaves on the roadway and sidewalk in the 300 block of North Union Avenue, partially blocking the road. The bags were picked up and placed curbside.

– A dog was reported barking outside an apartment in the 1200 block of Southeast Boulevard at 3:23 a.m. Wednesday, but fled as police arrived.

– Police were called at 8:04 p.m. Tuesday to the 400 block of West Pershing Street for a vehicle parked in a no parking zone near a business. Police made contact with the driver who said he just stopped to take a few pictures of the trains but would move to another area.

– Police responded at 7:40 p.m. Tuesday to East Fourth Street between North Ellsworth and North Lincoln avenues to monitor for a reckless vehicle. The vehicle was not found.

– A caller at 7:08 p.m. Tuesday called for a suspicious man at a local business in the 2300 block of East State Street, alleging the man was observed with a firearm. An officer spoke to the man and learned he has a valid permit to carry a concealed weapon. He was not violating any laws.

– A reckless operator was reported in the Walmart parking lot on East State Street at 6:19 p.m. Tuesday. Officers located the vehicle in question, but it was unoccupied.

– Police responded to a business in the 100 block of West State Street Tuesday to look for a male with an active arrest warrant, but he wasn’t located.

– A caller at 3:53 p.m. Tuesday reported a vehicle parked in a no parking zone on Highland Avenue, but the vehicle left before police arrived.

– Police were called at 2:01 p.m. Tuesday to the Club Fuel parking lot on Railroad Street where a person reported knowing the whereabouts of someone wanted on an arrest warrant, saying the person was walking in the area of state Route 9 and living at a nearby residence in Perry Township. Perry Township Police responded, but the female resident said the person was not there.

– A domestic was reported at 12:31 p.m. Tuesday in the 400 block of Aetna Street with a female sitting on a porch crying. Police found no woman on any porch, but spoke to a woman at a residence who said her two adult sons got into a brief fight, but both left.

Perry Township

– An officer assisted the Ohio State Highway Patrol during a vehicle search while on a traffic stop at 3:08 a.m. Wednesday on East Pidgeon Road near Depot Road.

– A woman on West Pine Lake Road called at 11:56 a.m. Tuesday to report her neighbor blowing leaves into her yard. An officer will contact the neighbor.

POLICE

County Sheriff

– Dan Thompson, Woodville Road, Leetonia, reported at 6:03 p.m. Monday he saw a man standing near a power pole near Adams Road and state Route 164 at about 4 p.m. He thought the man may have been cutting a ground cable. Thompson went to a residence nearby to unload items and was getting ready to go back there when the man left. The man was driving a late ’80s or early ’90s GMC/Chevy pickup, which was maroon and silver.

– Betsy McCannon, Route 164, Lisbon, reported at 11:31 a.m. Tuesday someone had cut six feet of wire from the bottom of their pole. She contacted Ohio Edison also. There was wire also taken from other homes in the area.

– Steve Sosack, County Road 53, Irondale, reported at 5:05 p.m. Monday Lynette Sprouse has been sending him threatening messages on the phone. Deputies told him to call Jefferson County.

– A Route 45, Lisbon, woman reported at 5:40 p.m. Monday she found doors ajar in her home and things disturbed. She was concerned because she has a protection order against a man.

– Angela Mullet, West Fourth Street, Salem, reported at 4:20 p.m. Monday she has been working with Columbiana patrolman Mark Edwards in an attempt to locate her missing ATV. She had taken the ATV to the home of David Hastings in Columbiana, but he had since moved it to another location. Hastings reportedly called her Sunday night and said “the kids house” he took the ATV to was empty and the ATV was nowhere around. Edwards had told Mullet it was a civil issue because she had exchanged money, the ATV and parts for mechanical repairs.

– Laura Williams, McCormick Run Road, Wellsville, reported at 8:51 p.m. Sunday she saw a person running and hiding in the weeds as vehicles passed by on McCormick Run Road. While checking the area, deputies saw a red Ford Ranger driving on Glasgow Road and when the driver noticed the deputy he sped off. Deputies followed the dust to a property owned by Chesapeake and found the pickup parked on an ATV trail. The deputy activated the emergency lights and the vehicle sped toward the cruiser and around through a large rut in the ground. Deputies went to the home of the licensed driver. His father called for his son to come home. Dakota Frank was cited with driving under suspension and fictitious plates. Chesapeake was notified and asked deputies to reiterate that Frank is not to return there.

– Leslie Kirk-Evans, Case Road, Beloit, reported a suspicious gray minivan in the area. Deputies checked, but did not locate it.

Lisbon

– Jose R. Pacheco, 35, West Washington, was cited for OVI, driving under suspension, failing to obey a traffic light, failure to display license and failing to comply with a police order to halt. This occurred at the intersection of North Market and North Park at 12:31 a.m. Tuesday.

Columbiana

– At 5:28 a.m. Saturday police received a 911 call that a car hit a deer on state Route 7 just north Lipply Road. Police stood by until Beaver Township police arrived.

– A man reported at 3:51 p.m. Saturday he drove through a pile of leaves on North Middle Street and Jeffrey Wessling, who lives there, came out and started yelling at him and they exchanged words. Police spoke with both and the situation was resolved.

– Teddy Redden, Meadow Bridge, W.Va., was eastbound on East Park Avenue at 7 p.m. Monday and failed to negotiate a curve and went into a ditch. He was not cited.

– A woman reported at 4:14 p.m. Monday there was a suspicious man on West Southern Avenue.

– A man reported at 4:44 p.m. Monday a tanker went down North Middle Street and was leaking a white milky substance. Police notified the fire chief.

– Dallas Burns, Columbiana, and Paul Inman, Garrettsville, were westbound on state Route 14 at 7:41 a.m. Monday and Burns slowed for a left hand turn onto East Park. Inman tried to stop but could not in time and then tried to pass on the right to avoid a collision and while passing struck the passenger side mirror of Burns’ vehicle. Inman was cited for assured clear distance.

– A man reported at 11 a.m. Monday a vehicle backed up to a home that was condemned on North Elm. Police checked and found it was the homeowner.

– A woman reported at 7:49 p.m. Monday a red car drove onto the Metz ball field and the driver turned the lights out and then continued back. Police found the vehicle and the occupants said they were there to look at the stars and talk.

Salineville

– A North Street resident flagged down officers at 8:38 p.m Friday to report someone threw a rock at the back window of his vehicle. After officers were unsuccessful in finding the suspect, the police K-9 was deployed and tracked the suspect to the rear open door of another residence. No one was home.

– Nicole Richter, East Main Street, reported Saturday six bottles of pills and money were stolen. She later admitted she gave the Xanax pills to a friend who “needed” them, and then sold 90 valium pills for $1 each to someone when Richter needed extra money. Richter was cited for falsification and was taken to the county jail.

– Officers responded at 11:15 p.m Sunday to Cleveland Avenue near Foundry Hill of a report of a suspicious vehicle with the occupants possibly intoxicated. Officers found several open cans of beer and a marijuana cigarette. Tammy Johnson and Gerald Arbogast were both taken to the county jail and cited for solicitation or engaging in prostitution. Johnson was also cited for possession of marijuana.

– Issac LeMasters, 747 Salineville Road, was arrested on an outstanding warrant at 6:25 p.m. Monday. He was apprehended without incident and taken to jail.

– Mark Morris of the Washington Township road department reported at 12:25 p.m. Friday a green truck with three men, later identified as Sheridan Taylor, Jesse Hollingshead and Zack Puckett, were dumping trash over the side of the hill on Foundry Hill Road, and drove way after Morris caught them. Officers spoke with the three, who admitted throwing the trash there. All three went back to the hill and cleaned up their trash, and took other loads to be burned on a farm in the Highlandtown area.

– Tyler Jamison was cited for speeding for going 50 mph in a 35 mph zone on state Route 644 at 8:39 p.m. Wednesday. He also was cited for driving under suspension.

East Liverpool

– Jeffery J. Wilson, no address listed, was stopped at Heights Manor on North Shady Lane for a loud stereo and was cited for unreasonable noise. According to the report, Wilson turned up the radio again as he left the parking lot after being cited.

St. Clair Township

– Neal P. Bean, Annesley Road, reported the theft of an engine hoist from his front yard on Friday.

Perry Township

– Police took a driver and her two passengers into custody during a traffic stop at 11:34 a.m. Monday on West Pidgeon Road at Depot Road, finding warrants for the driver and one passenger and filing additional charges against all three. The owner/operator of the vehicle, Tiona L. Jones, 32, of Columbus, had a county warrant for drug trafficking and was charged with possession of drug abuse instruments. Passenger Lucas L. Miller, 24, of 1169 W. Perry St., Salem, had two county warrants and was charged with obstruction of official business. Another passenger, Loyal L. Miller, 52, of 1169 W. Perry St., Salem, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. He was released on his own recognizance while the other two were taken to the county jail. Salem police, the sheriff’s office, highway patrol and county drug task force assisted at the scene.

Salem

– Police responded at 6:34 a.m. Tuesday to the 1100 block of New Garden for possible shots fired and found the shots came from a Perry Township officer shooting a wounded deer.

– Police were called at 11:01 p.m. Monday to the 100 block of East Third Street to attempt to locate a missing girl. She returned home before police arrived.

– Mary Lepping, 81, Park Avenue, was cited for failure to yield at 6:12 p.m. Monday. She pulled onto Pershing from South Ellsworth and struck a vehicle driven by Tracie Smith, 38, of Prospect Street, who was already going through the intersection. Lepping said she didn’t see the other vehicle.

– Cheryl Snow, Depot Road, reported at 3:29 p.m. Monday she ran over some glass in the Broadway Plaza lot near Cheap Tobacco. She wanted it documented and to warn others. An officer contacted the property owner.

Salem

– A woman in the 1000 block of East 10th Street reported at 9:17 p.m. Monday that she has received multiple phone calls for a person who is not a resident there. Officers attempted to contact the caller and left a voice message.

– Police were in the 100 blockof North Union Avenue at 8:58 p.m. Monday looking for a wanted man, but he wasn’t there.

– Several people with open containers of alcoholic beverages were reported at 8:45 p.m. Monday in the 1700 block of East State Street. Police saw no open containers or violations.

– An officer on patrol at 8:16 p.m. Monday issued a ticket for a vehicle parked in a no parking zone in the 100 block of Ohio Avenue.

– Police checked the area of Centennial Park and a business in the Salem Plaza looking for a wanted man at 5:18 p.m. Monday. He was not found.

– A parking complaint was reported at 4:28 p.m. Monday in the 200 block of Highland Avenue where a 48-hour warning tag was placed on a vehicle that had not moved.

– A woman in the 1200 block of Southeast Boulevard reported at 2:02 p.m. Monday that a man known to her at the apartment complex made some alleged threatening and rude comments towards her and her juvenile daughter. Officers spoke to the man who denied all the allegations. Both parties were told to stay away from each other.

– A reckless operator was reported at 3:40 p.m. Monday in an East State Street parking lot in the 2400 block. The vehicle was not found.

– A domestic was reported at 1:57 p.m. Monday in the 2200 block of North Lincoln Avenue. The incident was found to be a verbal dispute over personal issues. One person had left before officers arrived.

Perry Township

– A woman on Elberon Avenue reported at 9:45 p.m. Monday that two of her children were being unruly and would not return home from a friend’s house, which she said happens a lot. Police checked several houses where the children may be staying, but were unable to locate them. The woman said they would return home later and she’ll contact police then.

– An officer was requested at 4:08 p.m. Monday at a home in the 1100 block of Cunningham Road in reference to damage done to a door while a former tenant was in the process of moving their belongings. The officer was also told about a purse containing suspected narcotics paraphernalia. The officer saw the purse and the alleged paraphernalia in plain view and took the purse and its contents into evidence. An investigation is pending.

– Melissa Delauder, Johnson Road, Lisbon, reported multiple people were removing items at 6:45 p.m. Saturday. Deputies spoke to Adrianna Parham, who said she was at the home trying to get her sister’s broken She had to call the locksmith because she did not have the key. Then it was found the steering column was busted and the wires cut to the ignition. She asked for a number for a tow truck and left without any problems.

– Sgt. Tom Foley was northbound on state Route 7, just south of state Route 558 traveling about 40 mph, when a deer came from the east side of the road and was struck by his cruiser. The deer damaged a headlight and the edge of the hood.

– Jay Lucas, Riverside Drive, Wellsville, reported at 10:04 a.m. Friday he found a burnt out car on Oaktree in Yellow Creek Township.

– Richard Salsberry, a middle school teacher at Beaver Local, reported at 1:26 p.m. Thursday his iPhone went missing from his classroom at about 9 a.m. He used his iPad to send a signal to the phone and heard it beeping in a 14-year-old student’s backpack. He recovered the phone and the student was suspended from school for two days.

– Debbie Salon, McCormick Run Road, Salineville, reported at 5:47 a.m. Thursday a truck drove up the driveway to the home next to hers and shut off its lights. The home is empty. Deputies found a 2008 Chevy pickup in the drive unoccupied. No one was located and no one answered to door.

Highway Patrol

– Justin D. Allen, 28, North Shadylane Drive, East Liver-pool hit a deer on Route 154 in Elkrun Township at 6:25 p.m. Saturday.

– Markus J. Hershberger, 19, Millersburg, was westbound on U.S. 62 in Butler Township at 5:45 p.m. Tuesday, went left of center and hit an eastbound vehicle driven by Eric S. Ivan, 21, Beloit. Hershberger was cited for lanes of travel.

Lisbon

– David L. Todd, 43, East Lincoln Way, was charged with domestic violence after police responded to a call for assistance from his girlfriend, Amber Possage, at 8:47 p.m. Sunday. Possage said Todd had punched her in the face and chest while drunk.

– Police were called to the Night Court at 1:11 a.m. Saturday in regard to a dispute between Scott Holloway and Tracey and Carol Gilmore. According to employees, the Gilmores are not allowed in the bar when Holloway is there because of past problems. Holloway was working at the bar that night as the DJ when the Gilmores showed up with their daughter, who is supposedly 16. The girl became argumentative with him while she was trying get in and then began taunting him to hit her after he told her to leave. Holloway later learned from Twitter that he was being accused of slapping the girl, which is false.

– Robert Tinney, Jerome Street, reported someone was going around knocking on doors in the neighborhood at 3:16 a.m. Sunday. Police checked the area but did not find anyone about.

– Police pulled over a motorists after they almost struck another vehicle at the intersection of Lincoln Way and Market at 11 a.m. Friday. The driver said she had just finished working a 14-hour shift and was really tired. The officer had her call for a ride to her home in Salineville.

– A 911 call was received from a residence on West Chestnut Street at 12:45 p.m. Friday, but no one was home.

East Palestine

– Zoning violation notices were sent to owners of the following Saturday for high grass: 217 E. Clark St., 353 W. Clark St., 95 N. Sumner St., 87 E. Rebecca St., and 101 E. Rebecca St.

Columbiana

– A woman reported at 10:27 a.m. Sunday there were three large dogs at her door and she didn’t know who they belonged to. Police checked but were unable to get close to the dogs and were not able to find their owners.

– Brad Kasunich of Lisbon was cited for dog at large after someone reported the dog bit someone at a South Cross Street home at 11:14 a.m. Sunday.

– Mickael F. Sepel, 28, Youngstown, was backing from a driveway on Prestwick Court at 1:53 a.m. Sunday and struck a parked car along the street. No citations were issued due to Prestwick being a private street.

– Helen Edling, Whispering Pines Village, reported at 3:42 a.m. Sunday some of her prescription medication was missing from her room.

– A man reported at 12:37 p.m. Sunday a white Pontiac vehicle had been parked on North Main Street about a week. Police contacted the owner and advised them to have it moved.

– A South Vine Street woman reported at 3:24 p.m. Sunday her door was open when she returned home and she requested an officer go inside first to make sure there was no one inside. Police found no one inside and no problems.

East Liverpool

– Officers were called to the Dresden Avenue BP station for an intoxicated man trying to steal beer. They reported finding Robert J. Halfhill, 33, New Waterford Road, New Waterford, staggering on Dresden Avenue. They said Halfhill thought he was in North Lima and, asked how much alcohol he had drunk, he advised them two beers. He was charged with public intoxication.

St. Clair Township

– An officer reported seeing a vehicle turn onto state Route 170 from Dresden Avenue without signaling then turned again into a private drive without signaling. The driver, Larry Wilson, 52, Dewey Avenue, told officers he thought he had his turn signal repaired. When he was patted down for weapons, Wilson reportedly said he had a pipe in his pocket for smoking marijuana, and officers said it contained marijuana residue. Wilson was charged with the turn signal violation and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Goshen Police District

– Skyler Wasmire, 19, 13515 Williams St., Beloit, was cited for driving under suspension and underage possession of alcohol after a traffic stop on Fifth Street near Main at 6:01 p.m. Friday.

– Vincent A. Perry, 21, Youngstown, was charged with misdemeanor carrying a concealed weapon after a traffic stop outside the Colonial Motel on U.S. 62 at 2:11 a.m. Saturday in which he was a passenger.

Salem

– Police responded to East State at 4:05 p.m. Sunday for a red Chevy Equinox left running for a long period of time. It was not locked. Officers were approached by an elderly woman who said it was her car. She was at the theater for a performance and could not find her keys. When told the vehicle was still running, she said she must have accidentally left the keys in the ignition.

– An officer stood by at 12:52 p.m. Monday in the 1100 block of West Perry Street while a Perry Township officer took a person into custody related to a previous traffic stop.

– A man in the 1000 block of East Pershing Street reported at 12:42 p.m. Monday that someone entered his vehicle overnight and removed a GPS unit and iPod from the glove compartment. Other items were thrown around the vehicle, which was unlocked.

– A resident in the 600 block of East Third Street reported at 10:24 p.m. Sunday that an unknown person was walking around the back yard dressed all in black. The person could not be found.

– Suspicious activity was reported at 10:09 p.m. Sunday in the 100 block of West State Street at Speedway where a woman at Speedway on West State said she was approached by a man who tried to sell her drugs. Police couldn’t find anyone matching his description. A store clerk said an unknown female had been in a verbal altercation inside the store with one of their regular customers. All parties left before officers arrived.

– A woman in the 600 block of Euclid reported at 8:59 p.m. Sunday that her vehicle was damaged while parked at Walmart. She believed she knew who damaged the vehicle and an officer told her options. The person in question was contacted and said she was parked next to the vehicle, but did not damage it. An officer was reviewing the store’s surveillance video.

– Police responded to the 200 block of Woodland Avenue for report at 8:55 p.m. Sunday of a flashing light on a porch. A porch light appeared to have a faulty bulb. Nothing appeared suspicious. An attempt was made to contact the residence, but it appeared nobody was home.

– An officer on patrol at 8:39 p.m. Sunday saw several bags of leaves thrown into the road in the 1500 block of Shady Lane. The bags were moved onto the curb lawn.

– A man in the 700 block of West Wilson Street reported at 7:21 p.m. Sunday that a white Chevy truck has been speeding up and down the street and almost hit his children. Officers will keep an eye out for the truck.

– An officer on patrol at 6:58 p.m. Sunday saw a suspicious vehicle parked in the Salem High School parking lot off of North Lincoln Avenue with two people inside. A male and female juvenile said they were just having a conversation. They were told to go to a different location to talk.

– At 6:01 p.m. Sunday on South Ellsworth Avenue and Franklin, officers noticed several juveniles who appeared to be trying to take a “no parking” sign off of a pole. When officers attempted to stop them, they started walking quickly in the other direction, but police were able to reach them and talk with them. They were told not to try to destroy public property and leave all street signs alone. They said they were headed home.

– An anonymous person at 5:23 p.m. Sunday spoke with an officer regarding possible drug activity at a specific location in the city. The information will be given to a Columbiana County Drug Task Force agent.

– Officers on patrol heard a loud explosion at 4:22 p.m. Sunday coming from the southwest side of the city, but nothing was found.

– A domestic was reported in the 900 block of Liberty Street where two people got into a verbal altercation Sunday. Both parties agreed to separate for the day, with the woman collecting some belongings and leaving.

– James Rush, Gamble Road, Lisbon, reported Saturday that his tenants at a Saltwell Road home moved out, taking with them a washer and dryer. The tenant, John Shasteen, denied this, telling deputies he purchased the washer and dryer off Craig’s List several years before, although he no longer has the receipt.

-John Richmond, Black Road, Lisbon, reported noticing tire marks going through his neighbor’s field and found a vehicle occupied by a man and woman. Deputies found the man and woman, who said they had no place to go and had planned on sleeping in their car. They were told to move on.

Highway Patrol

– While eastbound on Miller Road in Center Township, a vehicle driven by Levon R. Witmer, 30, Lodge Road, Leetonia, reportedly went through a stop sign at Leetonia Road, striking a northbound vehicle driven by Troy A. Hephner, 46, Lisbon-Canfield Road, Leetonia. The impact caused a trailer being pulled by Hephner to overturn. Witmer was cited for the stop sign violation.

East Liverpool

– A manager at the Dairy Queen reported an older man came in to purchase a Dilly Bar and kept confusing the clerk by asking questions and grabbing money back from her. When the manager told the man to stop his actions because she believed he was trying to shortchange the employee, he accused her of racism. He and another black man left in a vehicle, and the cash register drawer was found to be $20 short.

– Patience Joyce, East Fifth Street, reported she ordered an item which the USPS confirmed had been delivered but which she has not seen.

– Kathleen J. Messenger, Avondale Street, reported she was carrying groceries into the house and someone took items from her vehicle.

– Melissa D. Brewer, no address listed, reported a person she knows has been threatening to harm her and her son. She was advised to see the law director.

– Mindy S. Connor, address not listed, reported her unlocked vehicle entered and her purse taken.

Salem

– Police received several calls about 5:30 p.m. Saturday advising a train had a car with a wheel(s) dislodged from the track. The train made an emergency stop and its rear was just west of the Ellsworth Avenue crossing. The Lincoln and Ellsworth crossings were open but the Mullins, New Garden, Wilson and Pershing crossings were blocked.

– At 9:44 p.m. Friday police responded to the area of Ellsworth and State for a report of an intoxicated woman stumbling in the road. She was located in the 200 block of South Broadway. Police attempted to identify her but she gave conflicting and false information. Police eventually were able to identify her and found an outstanding warrant for robbery in Florida. She was taken into custody and taken to the county jail to await extradition to Florida. The woman’s name was not provided.

– At 10:41 p.m. Saturday, police responded to the 400-600 block of West State regarding a girl who had been assaulted by another girl. The girl had minor abrasions/lacerations on her neck from the other girl yanking her hood from behind.

– Police responded to the 900 block of East State at 5:35 p.m. Saturday where the clerk said she believed a man exited the store without paying for a can of beer. The store was not identified.

Perry Township

– At 7:07 a.m. Sunday, police were advised of a loose donkey behind a home in the 600 block of East Pine Lake Road. The owner was contacted.

– Vicki Foos, Carey Road, hit a deer while driving on U.S. 62 about 7 a.m. Saturday.

– Thone Phanhpheng, of Salem, hit a deer while driving on the bypass at 5:11 a.m. Saturday.

Salem

– Police responded to the 100 block of Railroad Street at 12:58 a.m. Sunday for a complaint of a person to be removed. An employee advised two unknown people had gotten into an argument which turned physical. Both were gone when police arrived.

– At 4:02 a.m Sunday, police assisted the county sheriff outside the police department with a prisoner in the patrol car threatening to harm himself. An ambulance was called to transport the person to the hospital for evaluation. Officers stood by until emergency personnel arrived.

– Police responded to the 600 block of North Howard Avenue at 9:30 p.m. Saturday for a possible trespassing incident. The complainant advised the front door was partially open when he woke up in the morning. No intrusion occurred. The complainant wanted it documented.

– At 7:11 p.m. Saturday, police responded to the 600 block of Snyder Road regarding a suspicious vehicle and checked the area. They were unable to locate a vehicle matching the description provided.

– Police responded to the 1700 block of Harding Avenue at 12:38 p.m. Sunday after a complainant calling from Salem advised of having problems retrieving personal belongings from their landlord at a rental property on Harding Avenue after moving out. An officer spoke to the landlord and worked out arrangements for the complainant to retrieve their belongings. The landlord was advised of the legal recourse to recoup the cost for alleged damages to the property.

– At 3:51 a.m. Sunday, police assisted the Columbiana County sheriff with a BAC test for an OVI stop.

– At 7:25 p.m. Saturday, police responded to Snyder Road, just west of S. Lincoln Avenue, for a report of a suspicious vehicle. No suspicious vehicle was located and a truck working for the railroad was observed performing work on one of the railroad boxes.

– Police and an ambulance responded to the 1900 block of Depot Road at 2:51 a.m. Saturday where an elderly man was transported to the emergency room after falling ill.

– At 11:33 p.m. Friday, police responded to the 1700 block of S. Lincoln Avenue after the complainant reported suspicious items at a relative’s residence and wanted police to investigate. Officers located contraband items and took them as evidence, pending an investigation and possible charges.

County Sheriff

– Greg Seifert, Black Road, Lisbon, reported at 1:40 p.m. Friday his trailer had been broken into. A deputy noticed the front and rear doors open, and later contacted the property’s owner, Twila Kessler, Anderson, S.C., who said she will have family check on the property.

– Doug Sturgeon, Mattix Road, Lisbon, reported at 5:04 p.m. Friday someone made a fictitious Instagram account using his 11-year-old son’s information, and included a sexually explicit comment about one of his son’s female classmates.

– Florence Voigt, Carmel Achor Road, Rogers, reported at 5:41 p.m. Friday someone entered her pole building on Scott Mill Road. Voigt stated her son checked the property and saw nothing wrong, but then returned Friday and noticed parts to a 1996 Peter Built tractor were missing, including the radiator, air to air, six boots and three batteries. She also said this was the first time she reported the breaking and entering, although the building has been broken into several times.

Columbiana

– A suspicious vehicle reportedly belonging to David Janci of Youngstown was spotted at 12:29 a.m. Friday at Columbiana Dodge. Officers checked the area, but could not locate anyone.

– A Blueberry Drive woman reported at 9:44 a.m. Friday a man was trying to get into her residence and she didn’t recognize him. An officer met with employees that were doing remodeling work on the residence.

– A man and woman reported at 4:13 p.m. Friday they lost their vehicle. The vehicle was later found behind Joe’s Barber Shop.

– Police were called at 6:58 p.m. Friday to the area of state Route 46 and County Line Road after dispatch received an open 911 line from a cell phone, sounding like a verbal dispute between and man and woman. Officers were unable to locate any disturbances in the area. Dispatch, meanwhile, attempted to call the number back several times, but only left messages.

– Beaver Township police reported at 8:45 p.m Friday a reckless motorist heading south on Market Street towards the intersection of state Routes 7 and 14. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate the vehicle in question.

– Kassandra Jaffe, South Main Street, reported at 10:11 p.m. Friday a man approached her vehicle and identified himself as a police officer, and asked her if she and her passenger needed help, to which both replied no. He was described as a white man with gray hair, 5-foot-8, age in either his 50s or 60s wearing a purple shirt with a black jacket driving a black or dark blue convertible-type car. Officers were unable to locate the vehicle in question.

Wellsville

– Gerard Bryant, 8th Street, was charged with assault and domestic violence after officers responded to a report of a disturbance near Broadway. They stopped Bryant, who they said was intoxicated and who told them he was arguing with his live-in girlfriend. They asked to see his girlfriend, Mariah Beaver, who was fine, but she was asked to leave when Bryant told officers he wanted her removed from the residence. About 10 minutes later, officers were called to a Broadway residence where they found Bryant, who was bloody, saying he had gone to speak with Beaver and was assaulted by Thomas Barton. Barton told officers Bryant began to assault Beaver and he intervened, striking Bryant and getting him out of the house.

– While investigating a burglary at a Commerce Street residence, officers heard a door slam and saw a man jog from the rear of the home. They had him stop and when asked for identification, he had none and birth dates and Social Security numbers he gave were false, officers reported. He was placed in a cruiser, and while the officer was on the phone with a senior officer, the man escaped and began running into a wooded area. The officer deployed his Taser and apprehended the man, later identified as Donte King, who had an active warrant out of New York. He was charged as a fugitive from justice, with resisting arrest, obstructing justice and falsification.

– Michael McCulley, Riverside Avenue, called stating he needed to see an officer, and at his home, officers saw that he had a cut on his lip and blood around his mouth. McCulley told them his live-in girlfriend and mother of his children had punched him in the mouth. He refused to give a written statement. No charges were filed.

– Officers responded to a Broadway residence for a request to remove Russell McHenry, who had come home drunk and belligerent. When told to leave, McHenry reportedly became profane and walked to the end of the driveway then stopped. He was charged with persistent disorderly conduct after a struggle with officers.

Salem

– A woman came to the station at 10:41 p.m. Thursday to report her juvenile daughter had been assaulted by an adult female known to her while in the 700 block of West State Street. The juvenile said she met the female to return some of her belongings and the female got upset, pushing her against the side of a truck. The juvenile was having back and shoulder pains from the incident and was told her options.

– Police were called at 8:16 p.m. Thursday to Circle of Care, 1985 E. Pershing St., for a report of identity theft. The complainant and the victim said a prior resident had possibly taken personal information and was using it for personal gain. The person was told to take immediate action to stop the suspect’s personal gain. The case is under investigation.

– A woman in the 600 block of South Lincoln Avenue reported at 3:08 p.m. Thursday that a man she met via games on her phone was now calling her and saying things she did not like. He was supposed to be from Cleveland but she said he has claimed to be from Nigeria and other counties. She was afraid he may have gained some of her personal information and wanted to change her phone number.

– At 2:57 p.m. Friday a complainant was on station from the 500 block of East Fifth Street advising that over the past two weeks someone removed a Kahr 45 caliber pistol from the residence.

– Police responded to the 1200 block of Cedar Ridge Road at 8:24 a.m. Friday and found a live-in couple situation that was to have stopped a few weeks ago continuing. The male allegedly ripped a woman’s shirt and threw her to the floor, pushing her around the bedroom. The woman’s son had to help get him off of her. Dustin C. Brayshaw, 1270 Cedar Ridge, Apt. C., was charged with domestic violence and transported to the county jail.

– A woman from Grant Street, Lisbon, called for a deputy to speak with her teenage son at 7:15 p.m. Tuesday. She said her son has a learning disability and was having problems at school, and had run over to the neighbor’s house. The deputy spoke to the boy, who agreed to let his mother take him to the hospital.

– A caller reported there was a pickup truck sitting in the road on Desellem Road, Lisbon, at 7:44 p.m. Tuesday. The deputy who responded was unable to locate the truck.

– Cory Blackburn, Lynchburg Road, Kensington, reported at 9:35 p.m. Tuesday there was someone with a flashlight wandering around his neighbor’s barn. The deputy who responded did not find anyone about.

– A deputy was asked to check on the welfare of a resident at the Butler Mobile Home Park, U.S. Route 62, Salem, at 4:14 p.m. Tuesday after loud arguing could be heard. The deputy spoke to the woman who lived there and she said everything was fine.

– Tyler Foster, state Route 14, East Palestine, reported arriving home at 9:52 p.m. Tuesday to find his Pontiac G-5 gone.

– John M. Rizzo, 49, Andover, hit a deer on U.S. 62 in Smith Township, Mahoning County, at 6:15 a.m. Monday.

– David E. Gruber, 65, Alderlick Road, Salineville, hit a deer on Steubenville Pike in Wayne Township at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.

– Kenneth Bushong, 55, Tallmadge, hit a deer on state Route 11 in Fairfield Township at 6:35 p.m. Tuesday.

– Trent D. Young, 16, state Route 170, Rogers, was southbound on Sprucevale Road in Middleton Township at 7 a.m. Tuesday and drove through an oil spill on the road and slowed for a deer on the side of the road and slid clockwise off the right side and overturned into an embankment.

– David W. Haley, 79, Howard Road, Hanoverton, hit a deer on Georgetown Road in Knox Township at 6:37 a.m. Tuesday.

– Katie Lynn Matwijuk, 31, Front Street, Leetonia, hit a deer on state Route 344 in Fairfield Township at midnight Tuesday.

– Rose M. Hiner, 67, West Maple Street, Lisbon, and Robert R. Hunt, 51, East Chestnut Street, Lisbon, were southbound on state Route 45 in Center Township at 3:55 p.m. Monday and Hunt struck Hiner from behind. Hunt was cited for assured clear distance.

Columbiana

– Ronald Brown, Union Street, reported at 8:28 a.m. Tuesday a silver GMC was parked on Union Street and the driver was slumped over. Police checked but the vehicle had already left. At 4:35 p.m. Brown reported the vehicle was back and the man was slumped over again. Police checked but did not find the vehicle.

– A man reported at 5 p.m. Tuesday someone was open burning in the back yard of a North Elm Street home. Police checked and found the owner was cooking hot dogs.

– Megan Tomlin requested at 5:17 p.m. Tuesday police check on her 6-year-old who was staying with his father on South Main Street and he would not let her talk to her.

East Palestine

– Police went to 189 Wood St. at 12:28 p.m. Tuesday for a report of an elderly woman with dementia missing. The woman was found at McDonald’s a few minutes later.

– Amanda Mead, East Main Street, reported at 5:56 p.m. Sunday someone threw a rock through the window of her 2005 Kia Sportage while it was parked at her home.

– Joshua Brown reported at 5 p.m. Tuesday two small children were playing very close to the road on East Taggart. Police found the children and spoke with their father who was unaware they had been playing that close to the road.

– Merry Whelan, address not listed, requested at 5:25 p.m. Tuesday police check on her sister who lives on Park Avenue. She said she had not heard from her sister in two weeks and was concerned for her welfare. Police went to the home but did not appear to be home.

– Ashley Davis, East Taggart Street, reported at 7:55 p.m. Tuesday she found a window and the rear door of her home open when she returned home and her TV was missing.

Lisbon

– Hayden L. Gostey, East Lincoln Way, reported Tuesday his girlfriend would not remove her car from his property and was saying she was going to report it stolen to get him in trouble. Police called Gostey’s girlfriend, Savannah Anderson, and told her to remove the car or it will be towed and that Gostey was going to put her belongings in the vehicle.

Salem Township

– Township road foreman Jason Entrikin reported sometime in the last two weeks someone removed the batter from the township Gradall and cut one of the copper wires for the battery.

East Liverpool

– Officers were dispatched to the Dollar General store on Walnut Street to view a video of a man and woman reportedly shoplifting but they could not be located. Two days later, store personnel had officers view another video of the same two people shoplifting again, and this time they were able to identify Samuel T. Powell, 23, and Julya M. Prendergast, 22, who were later found walking on Walnut Street. Powell was charged with theft and released to await his court appearance, while Prendergast was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant out of Carroll County and transported to the county jail. The report included no address for either one.

– Rachel N. Zubay, 34, reported her boyfriend damaged her car when he borrowed it. Damage was reported to the headlight, turn signal and gear shift, and the car had scratches all over it, according to reports.

– Courtney Dubray, Bradshaw Avenue, reported both of her vehicles entered and ransacked, with change taken.

– A Mrs. Flores, Grandview Street, reportedly asked officers to arrest her husband due to him being drunk for 23 years, saying she was fed up with it and reporting he assaulted her. She then asked officers to take him to the hospital, although reports did not specify the reason.

– Jaber Y. Omaishat, address not listed, reported his unlocked vehicles entered by a person he knows while they were parked outside the ABC Carry-Out on Pennsylvania Avenue. Taken were four credit cards and between $800 and $900 in cash, according to reports.

– A woman reported being followed in her vehicle by a known man. She pulled in front of the police station, followed by the man, who was questioned by a police officer. He told the officer he was lost, trying to find his way back to Youngstown. According to reports, the officer advised the man he did not believe his account and sent him on his way with a warning to stop following the woman.

Steubenville

– Steubenville police arrested Jodi Petras, 43, East Liverpool, on a bench warrant, Tuesday.

Wellsville

– A vehicle was spotted at Independence Square Oct. 13. Police confirmed the man, whose name was not provided, was still on the no trespass list and had the vehicle towed. The man called police asking how to get his car back. He was told to contact the towing company and deal with them. The man called back twice more that night. The second time he called back he claimed his girlfriend had the mayor on the phone and the mayor said police had towed the car improperly.

– A car hit a deer Oct. 30 on Route 39, but the driver’s name was not provided.

– Police responded Oct. 30 to a fight on Bengal Drive, but the two combatants were not identified.

– A woman called at 1 a.m. Nov. 1 from the marina, talking about a supposed arsonist and the terrorist group ISIS. Since the marina closes at 10 p.m., she was told she should not be there. Also, this was not the first time the woman has contacted police about these matters, and had been told to quit wasting their time. Police issued her a disorderly conduct charge, although her name was not released.

– A Chester Avenue man who was not identified reported Tuesday his ex-girlfriend is accusing him of breaking into her residence and taking her food stamp card and money. He told police he is living back at his mother’s home and not harassing his ex-girlfriend. He was given a statement to fill out.

Salem

– Denise Mountz, also known as Denise Mitchell, 31, last known address was East Third Street, turned herself in at 3:19 p.m. Wednesday for a felony warrant for dangerous drugs. She was turned over to a sheriff’s deputy.

– Michael Gagnon, East Seventh, reported at 6:59 p.m. Tuesday that someone took his spare key and moved his vehicle from the driveway into the road, then took an oil cap and several other caps off of the vehicle.

Salem

– A South Lundy Avenue resident called at 12 a.m. Wednesday to report a man with a baseball bat outside a residence in the 400 block of West Third Street. He put the bat down when police arrived. He said he saw someone walking around his home. Contact was made with another male on the west side of the residence who was picking up a vehicle. No names were provided.

– A man in the 200 block of South Lincoln Avenue reported at 11:12 a.m. Wednesday that a lawn care company parks in front of his fence and has been asked before not to park there. The company vehicle left before police arrived and could not be located.

– Suspicious activity was reported at 10:42 a.m. Wednesday at Waterworth Memorial Park off of Superior where a red Chevy Blazer was sitting in the parking lot. Police located two adult males inside who said they come there and sit and talk. All appeared fine.

– Police responded at 1:24 a.m. Wednesday to the 1900 block of Whinnery Road for a report of a person inside a vacant residence. The owner responded and unlocked the residence for police to search. Everything was secure, with nothing out of place.

-A man from the 400 block of West Third Street reported at 11:15 p.m. Tuesday that he purchased a vehicle but did not get a title. He was told it’s a civil matter and was given some options.

– Police on patrol handled three separate parking violations between 7:46 p.m. and 8:05 p.m. Tuesday. Two different vehicles were found parked in no parking zones on Highland Avenue and East 10th Street, with owners moving them after being contacted. A truck was seen parked on a sidewalk on North Broadway and moved after the owner was contacted.

– Suspicious activity was reported at 7:13 p.m. Tuesday in the 100 block of North Lincoln Avenue. Nothing suspicious was seen by police.

– A neighbor dispute was reported at 6:15 p.m. Tuesday in the 2100 block of Southeast Boulevard. A man reported he believed his neighbor threw a bucket of acorns in his yard that he just cleaned up. He wanted the neighbor told to stay off the property, if he threw the acorns. The neighbor was contacted and denied the allegation. Both were told not to speak to each other.

– A woman in the 1000 block of South Lincoln Avenue reported at 4:58 p.m. Tuesday that she believed the kids who live behind her residence broke pieces of her fence and were messing around with equipment in her back yard. She had given them permission to go into the back yard if a ball went over the fence, but she no longer wanted the kids on her property for any reason. An officer spoke with a parent and children at the other residence. They said they didn’t touch her fence but had gone over if a ball went into her yard. The kids were told not to go on the neighbor’s property and have a parent go over and ask permission to retrieve anything.

County Sheriff

– Brandon Kovach, Fife Coal Road, Wellsville, reported at 3:37 p.m. Monday he received a call from Michelle Clark, who claimed she saw his political campaign signs knocked over and displaced along state Route 45 in Perry Township. Clark further alleged she saw Gary Milliken along the side of the road in a black SUV. Deputies called Clark who said she saw Milliken, but did not see him doing anything, just getting into a vehicle and driving off. Kovach said signs along state Route 45, Cunningham Road, Jersey Ridge Road and state Route 344 were placed farther back from the road along the wood line, while other signs were missing. Kovach further claimed someone on Facebook stated they had placed tracking devices on Kovach’s political signs and that was when he found his signs had been moved farther off the road.

– Jaime Weston, Meadowwood Drive, Salem, reported at 6:04 p.m. Monday she received two text messages from Stephen Jarrett, whom she said she filed a protection order against and would go to court Tuesday regarding the matter. Jarrett called eight minutes later and said his nephew sent Weston the text, not Jarrett, and knows he could be in violation of his protective order and wanted to speak with a deputy. A deputy later spoke with Jarrett, and he explained he intended to send a text to Kelly Pastor, and it went to Weston instead. Jarrett later texted Weston back saying the text wasn’t meant for her.

– Ruby Coleman, state Route 7, Lisbon, reported at 11:32 p.m. Monday a burglary at her residence, and she believed someone was still in the house. Deputies were unable to locate anyone in the house and unattached garage. North Star EMS was also called to check on Coleman due to lack of balance and a confused state of mind.

– Deputy Wycoff reported at 11:43 p.m. Monday he hit a deer on Middle Beaver Road in Elkrun Township near the Lock 30 Campground.

– Bobbie Fisher, Hill Street, Lisbon, reported at 5:14 a.m. Tuesday loud music was coming from the area. A deputy met with Harold Barnes, who was playing his music unreasonably loud for the time of day and lowered the volume.

– Julie Clark, Fife Coal Road, Wellsville, reported at 5:46 a.m. Tuesday she received harassing text from Joann Merriman, with the message saying, “Why am I getting pulled into your drama?” Attempts to contact Merriman were unsuccessful.

– Brenda Russell, Middle Beaver Road, Lisbon, reported at 11:40 p.m. Monday someone stole a Turn-About lawn mower from behind a trailer she uses for storage, and also reported damage to the front lawn with tire tracks and to canned goods in mason jars.

– Ed Geary, state Route 344, Columbiana, reported at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday that John and Betty Cain have been parking a semi on a lot and are living in a shed they are building without permission. A deputy advised to call back once the Cains return from driving, and the deputy will advise the Cains they are trespassing and subject to arrest.

– Wayne Ramsey, Hawk Road, East Rochester, reported at 7:45 a.m. Saturday someone stole his tool trailer with his tools inside while at a construction site on Butler Grange Road in Butler Township. Ramsey said he left the construction site around 11 a.m. Sept. 30, and when he returned, he noticed the trailer missing.

– Sebastian Hubert, South 12th Street, Beloit, reported at 8:40 p.m. Monday hearing someone outside in the field racking a shotgun. A deputy checked the vacant trailer next door but could not locate anyone.

– Tom Howell, state Route 518, Lisbon, reported at 6:46 p.m. Monday someone was shining a laser at his surveillance cameras, and also saw a flashlight. Deputies observed the laser beam Howell described, and once a spider web was cleaned off from the camera, the “laser beam” went away.

Columbiana

– A city employee reported at 8 a.m. Monday there was a sick raccoon on Fairfield Avenue. Police found the animal and euthanized it.

– A Joshua Dixon Elementary employee reported at 12:52 p.m. Monday a student had left the building again. While police were checking the area the employee reported the student had returned.

– Cheryl Pendergast, Fairfield Avenue, reported at 1:33 p.m. Monday someone drove through her yard and left large ruts in it. Police found the ruts may have been caused by a delivery truck that appeared to have been on dual wheels.

– An Old North woman reported at 2:44 p.m. Monday a lot of smoke was in that area. Police found the source of the smoke was outside city limits.

– Someone reported at 4:20 p.m. Monday chickens were running at large on East Southern Street. Police checked and found chickens in cages but none were running around. Police did advise the owner of the complaint.

– Police checked on a barking dog complaint on Southern Avenue at 4:59 p.m. Monday but did not see or hear a barking dog there.

East Liverpool

– Officers responded Monday afternoon for a fight on West 7th Street and reported finding three men and a woman standing on the sidewalk. One of the men reportedly pulled up his hood over his head and began walking away then turned and walked the other way when an officer pulled in front of him. When Capt. Patrick Wright approached him, the man took off running toward Webber Way but was found hiding in an old foundation, covered with brush and trash. Identified as Dacious D. Coles, 18, Ruth Street, he was also found to have outstanding warrants and was taken into custody. At the police station, Coles reportedly smelled strongly of marijuana and officers reported a baggy of marijuana was removed from his underwear. Coles was charged with obstructing official business and possession of marijuana.

– A vehicle driven by Pamela S. Chiedor, Roscoe, Pa., was reportedly struck in the rear by a vehicle driven by Mariah P. McClellan, 23, Lisbon Street, which pushed Chiedor’s vehicle into one driven by Michael D. Kidder, 46, New Cumberland, W.Va., who was stopped in traffic. McClellan was cited for assured clear distance, and reports indicated Chiedor sought treatment at Beaver Medical Center, although no ambulance company was listed as having transported her.

Perry Township

– A reckless driver was reported at 6:30 a.m. Monday on state Route 45 at state Route 9 in a white truck driving slow and going left of center. The vehicle was found and the plates were determined to be expired. A traffic stop was conducted and the operator, Natalia Petroug, 25, of Hanoverton, was okay, but cited for expired plates.

– Police were called at 3:07 a.m. Tuesday, along with the fire department and KLG Ambulance, to the 900 block of Somerset Drive for a man who fell. Police assisted in directing the ambulance to the residence.

– Beaver Township Police called at 10:54 p.m. Monday to request a welfare check at an address on Hearthside Drive. Everything was found to be OK.

– Suspicious persons were reported walking at 12:43 p.m. Monday on West State Street, with the caller advising a female was being dragged by a male. Police spoke with both parties and learned the female has MS and was being helped by the man while walking.

Salem

– Glendon Ikirt, 96, of East Park Avenue, Columbiana, was cited for improper starting/backing after his vehicle rapidly backed into a shopping cart rack in the Walmart lot at 11:35 a.m. Tuesday, causing a chain reaction crash affecting three parked vehicles. No injuries were reported. The driver told police his foot hit the accelerator instead of the brake when he was backing out of a parking space. The cart rack was pushed into a vehicle owned by Mary Drotleff, of Magnolia, who was seated in the car at the time, then her vehicle struck a vehicle owned by Emoretta Baker of Lisbon, causing the wheel to break. The cart also struck the front of a vehicle owned by Lorraine Allison, of Leetonia. No injuries were reported.

– An officer at 10:04 a.m. Tuesday met with a guidance counselor and assistant principal at Salem High School regarding a complaint made by a female about being sexually assaulted possibly on Oct. 26 at Centennial Park. They were contacting Children Services. The officer also planned to send a report to Children Services, with the juvenile bureau to check into the complaint.

– Officers called to respond to an apartment complex in the 200 block of Vine Avenue to check the well-being of a girl at 8:44 a.m. Tuesday ended up finding her inside an apartment. The father who called for the welfare check met police there, saying he had information that his daughter stayed with a man and he was unable to wake her up in the morning before he went to work and just left her there in an unknown condition. He wanted officers to help find her. She was found in an apartment and appeared to be under the influence of an illegal substance, with empty alcohol containers all over the room and a marijuana pipe falling from her boot as she put on her shoes. First responders and and an ambulance were called and she was taken to SRMC for an alcohol/drug screening at her father’s request. She allegedly admitted to using alcohol prior to arriving at the apartment the night before.

– Police received bad check packets from Stadium Buick GMC at 8:25 a.m. Tuesday for some bad checks received by the business.

– Mark Smith of Park Avenue reported at 7:52 a.m. Tuesday that sometime overnight someone broke into his vehicle and several items were taken.

– A man in the 900 block of Arch Street reported at 9:46 p.m. Monday that his daughter hasn’t been listening to him lately. He wanted her to return home from her boyfriend’s residence and wanted to take her keys for her vehicle. Officers located her on Homewood Avenue and told her to go home. An officer also spoke to her about her behavior.

– Police were called at 9:43 p.m. Monday regarding a green four-door vehicle traveling north on Third Street with the occupants hanging out of the windows yelling, but the vehicle was not found.

– A woman in the 400 block of Franklin reported her purse missing at 7:16 p.m. Monday, saying she got a ride from a friend and thought she might have left the purse in the vehicle. The friend came back and they both searched the vehicle, but no purse was found. She believed the friend took the purse out before coming back. The friend told police she thought the woman had the purse when she got out. The woman was told to check her residence. She called back later to report Tractor Supply found her purse inside the store and she retrieved it and found her belongings inside. Her name was not provided.

– An officer on patrol at 7:12 p.m. Monday saw a large amount of gasoline spilled on the ground at Circle K on East State Street. An employee said a woman had begun pumping gas and entered the store, leaving the pump unattended. The fire department was called to the scene to clean up the spill.

– Heather McCartney of Salineville reported at 5:18 p.m. Monday that she was inside Arby’s eating when a person told her someone struck her Ford Explorer in the parking lot. The suspect vehicle was described as a small green Chevy truck with an older male driver. The vehicle could not be found.

– A woman on Southeast Boulevard reported at 4:23 p.m. Monday that a man had been using inappropriate language toward her juvenile daughter.

– An employee of Marc’s dropped off two wallets at the police station at 3:33 p.m. Monday. One owner was contacted, but no information was available for the other one.

– Tammy Blankenship, 48, of East Eighth Street, was cited for assured clear distance after rear-ending a vehicle driven by Jonathan Phillips, 43, of Negley, who was slowing for traffic on Lincoln at the intersection at East Sixth at 2:47 p.m. Monday.

– Smith Oil, East State, reported at 2:14 p.m. Monday that two men in a silver car pumped $29.92 in gas and left without paying.

– Glenn Mays, 71, of East Liverpool, was cited for failure to yield after his vehicle pulled out from South Madison and struck a vehicle driven by Thomas Grimm, 74, of Butcher Road, Salem, who was westbound on Pershing Street at 1:59 p.m. Monday. No injuries were reported.

– Mark Conroy, 45, of 1207 E. Third St., was taken into custody at 10:43 a.m. Monday in the 2900 block of East State for an warrant.

– Margaret Graybeal, of West Third, reported at 9:30 a.m. Monday that her purse was taken from her vehicle.

– Desiree Timmerman, Franklin Avenue, reported at 8:27 a.m. Monday that someone unlawfully removed lawn furniture and a push mower from a locked shed at the rear of her yard. The key lock was cut off and removed. Missing items included four chairs and a glass-top table with an umbrella, along with the lawn mower.

– Joseph Randa, of Tanglewood Drive, reported at 6:47 a.m. Monday that someone gained entry into his sunroom and stole several items from the residence.

POLICE

County Sheriff

– Randy Weber, Brushville Road, East Palestine, reported at 11:16 a.m. Friday he attempted to put his wife on the insurance as a driver for one of their vehicles and was told she has an extensive driving record. Weber said his wife does not have such a record and when the insurance company began looking into the matter they learned someone in Montpelier, Ohio, is using his wife’s maiden name, date of birth and Social Security number. He was told to contact the BMV and the attorney general’s office to file an identity theft report with them.

– Dorene Reynolds, Ash Street, Leetonia, reported at 4:27 p.m. Sunday Joe Van Cooney took John Thomas from the Vista Center in Lisbon on Saturday. Reynolds has power of attorney for Thomas, who has dementia and is unable to make decisions for himself. She believes Cooney and Steve Davis broke into Thomas’ home on Foundry Hill Road so Thomas could get into his home. She only wanted a report on file.

Highway Patrol

– Louis O. Liberati, 44, East Lincoln Way, Lisbon, was stopped eastbound on state Route 154 in Elkrun Township at 5:40 p.m. Friday and tried to turn left when he was struck by Carl B. Moore, 35, Lusk Lock Road, Lisbon, who was also eastbound on Route 154. Moore was cited for assured clear distance, OVI and seat belt.

– Sierrah D. Bagshaw, 17, Georgetown Street, Minerva, was eastbound on Georgetown Road in Knox Township at 9:50 a.m. Sunday and Paul W. French, 39, Lowmiller Road, Minerva, was northbound on Bandy Road and failed to yield from a stop sign and struck Bagshaw on the right side. French was cited for right of way.

– Rollen H. Pethtel, 80, state Route 170, Negley, and April A. Prideau, 34, Amarillo Avenue, Negley, were northbound on state Route 7 in Elkrun Township at 7:45 a.m. Sunday and Pethtel slowed to make a right turn into a private drive and was struck by Prideau. Prideau was cited for assured clear distance and Pethtel’s passenger, Winifred M. Pethtel, 77, state Route 170, Negley, was taken to the Beaver, Pa., hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

– Sarah E. Hinton, 26, Claibourne Street, East Liverpool, was northbound on state Route 11 in Fairfield Township at 7:23 p.m. Friday and hit a deer. Her passengers, Jalynn R. Hinton, 3, and Shaelyn E. Hinton, less than 1 month old, both of Claibourne Street, East Liverpool, were both taken to the Salem hospital with possible injuries.

Lisbon

– Danielle Lilly, Hull Road, Salineville, came to the police station at 4:10 a.m. Saturday to report she and her boyfriend, Jamie Darlington, were assaulted at the Night Court. Lilly said it all started when the bartender called for “last call” before 2 a.m. and then began grabbing everyone’s drinks, which put some of the patrons in a bad mood. As patrons were filing out the back door a fight broke out between Darlington and six other people, during which his arm was broken. While the suspects were punching and choking Darlington, Lilly tried to pull them off, which is when one of the men bit her on the arm. They were finally able to get to their vehicle, but the group of men began jumping on the hood and punching the windshield, causing it to crack. As they were driving away something struck the car, shattering the door window. Lilly said she was not interested in pursuing charges against whoever bit her but she does want the damage to her vehicle to be repaired.

– Larry Taylor, West Chestnut Street, called for an officer on Sunday afternoon because of a dispute with his landlord, Nicole Hilton, whom he paid $300 to move in but she has yet to make the promised room available to him. Hilton accused Taylor of not taking care of his dog, which she said is mean. Hilton then asked the officer if he believed in Jesus Christ because Taylor was watching devil shows on her TV. Hilton was told she needed to go through a formal eviction process, but in the meantime she was to quit harassing Taylor and his dog. Hilton said she should not need an eviction notice to get people out of her house, and the officer advised her to quit renting rooms out.

– Terry Allen of Columbiana reportedly backed his truck into an Impala driven by Brenda Bryarley, North Avenue, while backing into a parking spot on South Jefferson Street at 12:23 p.m. Friday.

– Police were called to Applegrove Apartments at 6:12 am. Friday to stand by while an ambulance trans-ported a resident for medical treatment.

– Kimberly N. Kelly, 29, Thomas Road, was cited for OVI and failure to display registration following a traffic stop on East Lincoln Way at 2:31 a.m. Saturday.

East Palestine

– Cindy Davis, Wood Street, reported at 12:48 a.m. Sunday someone smashed the windshield of her car with a large rock.

– At 2:26 p.m. Sunday a woman brought to the station a 3-year-old boy she found walking alone on North Pleasant Drive. Police were familiar with the boy, as he had gotten outside alone before and he was taken to his grandmother’s home on North Pleasant Drive.

– Aaron A. Tyger, North Walnut Street, reported Sunday someone stole the license plates from his vehicle sometime during the night.

– Police and firefighters responded to the home of Michael L. Kleean, 1279 Bacon Ave. at 3:33 p.m. Sunday for a residential fire.

– Ronald B. Hoffman, East Rebecca Street, reported at 4:42 p.m. Sunday two residents of the apartments he manages on East Rebecca Street had been arguing and he separated them but requested an officer go to the apartments. Police found Sarah M. Dwyer and Joseph H. Windell Jr. were arguing over a parking space.

– David Reidy, 40, of East Palestine, was cited for OVI after a traffic stop in the Sparkle lot at 10:59 p.m. Friday.

Columbiana

– Eric Davidson, Terra Verde Avenue, reported at 5:25 a.m. Sunday someone might have broken into his home. Police discovered the noise he had heard was the newspaper delivery person placing the paper between the door and the screen door as he had requested.

– Michael Davis, no address listed, reported at 2:43 p.m. Sunday someone was following him in a vehicle.

– Clara Snatchko, North Main Street, reported at 4:21 p.m. Sunday her 84-year-old husband, who suffers from Alzheimer’s, just took off in the vehicle. Police checked the area but did not find the vehicle but Snatchko later advised that her husband had returned home safely.

– Shawn Peddicord, Lisbon, reported at 7:29 p.m. Sunday someone stole a freezer from his home.

St. Clair Township

– Carl Young, address not listed, reported a five-speed Ford transmission and Kenmore window air conditioner stolen from the back of his pickup truck while it was parked on Calcutta-Smith Ferry Road. The items were found at a salvage company in Rochester, Pa., where they had been brought in by two men identified by police in reports. No charges were reported.

– Ashley Austin, Pineview Drive, reported the theft of money, with no other details reported.

– The manager of the Calcutta Woods Apartments on Sprucevale Road reported a light pole struck.

Salem

– David Gasior, 41, of 157 W. Fifth St., was charged with disorderly conduct after police were called at 7:14 p.m. Sunday to the 1800 block of Southeast Boulevard for an intoxicated person. Officers found a man lying on the sidewalk with half a bottle of liquor and found him to be at risk to himself and others due to the level of intoxication, placing him in custody.

Perry Township

– An employee from Pop Jackson’s Restaurant on Benton Road reported at 7:35 p.m. Friday a person came into the business claiming he had been run off the road. The employee believed the person was intoxicated and was unsure if he was driving. He left before police arrived and was walking west on state Route 14. Police made contact with him and he said he was abandoned by a female companion and was attempting to get back to North Benton. He was given a ride to where the female was to pick him up. He was told to stay off the road. His name was not provided.

– An officer on patrol at 5:15 p.m. Sunday saw a vehicle parked on Egypt Road at East Pine Lake Road and made contact with three people returning to the vehicle who said they came to see Cry Baby Bridge. They were told it’s private property and they needed to leave.

– An officer on patrol at 9:18 p.m. Saturday on Egypt Road saw a vehicle with four juveniles parked at the corner of Egypt Road and East Pine Lake Road. The four said they were there to see Cry Baby Bridge. They were told they were trespassing on private property and needed to leave immediately.

– William Alesi III, 30, of 1378 S. Lincoln Ave., Salem, was charged with criminal trespass after police were called at 7:30 a.m. Saturday for an unwanted person in the 1100 block of Prospect Street at Salem Acres. Alesi had a “no trespass” order in place against him.

– A caller on Plymouth Place advised of a sick raccoon wandering around the property at 4:08 p.m. Friday. A request for an animal control officer was referred to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources. After ODNR had received multiple calls, permission was given by ODNR to one of the residents to put the animal down, as they were not responding.

Salem

– A resident in the 1700 block of East Third Street reported at 11:22 p.m. Sunday that he allowed some persons to use his pay check card and one of them took out more money that he had agreed on. He was told his options.

– A caller at 8:44 p.m. Sunday reported an intoxicated driver in the area of Butcher Road and Cunningham Road, but police were unable to locate the vehicle.

– An anonymous complainant reported at 8:08 p.m. Sunday his son was playing at a neighbor’s house on Cleveland Street when he was bitten by their dog. Officers spoke with the animal’s owner and they were told their options.

– Suspicious persons were reported at 6:15 p.m. Sunday in the 100 block of South Howard Avenue, but could not be found.

Perry Township

– Township police were called to assist Salem Police in checking for a possible impaired driver that fled from a possible crash at the intersection of Butcher and Cunningham roads at 8:06 p.m. Sunday. The vehicle was not found.

– Alleged threats were reported between parties during a civil exchange at 6:02 p.m. Sunday on West Perry Street. An officer spoke to all parties involved.

– Goshen Township Police advised Perry Township Police of a report at 9:28 a.m. Sunday of a green Pontiac traveling westbound in the eastbound lanes of the four-lane highway. Police checked the highway but did not locate the vehicle.

– Loud music was reported at 12:21 a.m. Saturday in the 400 block of Benton Road. Police could hear the loud music and advised the people at the residence in question about the complaint. The music was turned down.

– A caller at 11:02 p.m. Friday reported two cows in the road in the 900 block of Cunningham Road. He followed them back to their residence. An officer made contact with the owner and they were placed back inside the fence.

– Neighbors of a residence in the 1200 block of Hampton Place called police at 4:39 p.m. Friday after a yellow Penske box truck struck the brick mailbox in front of the residence. After a failed attempt to contact the homeowner, the driver left the area without leaving any information. Police searched the area, but did not find the vehicle.

– A resident in the 900 block of Jones Drive responded to the station at 8:56 a.m. Friday to report possible identity theft. They had received an email advising them that their new pin number was approved for their new credit card and all they had to do was call a telephone number in the email and confirm the new pin number. They contacted the number and only received an automated system requesting their social security number. They didn’t provide the information and did not sign up for the credit card. They wanted a record of the incident.

County Sheriff

– A deputy spoke with Meghan Hubbard, Court Street, Columbiana, at 11:38 a.m. Saturday. Hubbard said she was in the process of moving out of a rental on West Main in Washington-ville, owned by Easy Rentals, and drove a rental car through the company she works for, to the back of the home when she got stuck in the wet grass, and after she got unstuck, she hit a corner of the house.

– Venita Schappatt, Clewell Drive, Lisbon, reported at 1:01 p.m. Saturday her landlord shut off the water to her trailer. A deputy advised her to contact the landlord, and that this was a civil matter.

– A Tobin Center em-ployee reported an unruly boy threatening staff at 9:12 p.m. Saturday. The boy has assaulted staff members in the past. Two deputies went to the facility and talked to the boy, who after a few minutes agreed to go to his cell to be locked down.

– Several items were reported stolen from a property on Lusk Lock Road by two different owners of the property. First Renae Morlan, Waterford Road, New Waterford, reported she and her husband had a 2000 Ford Explorer XLT sitting at the residence with a strap around the rear bumper connected to a tree. Someone cut the strap and took the vehicle. Billie Morlan, West South Range Road, Canfield, reported a 1986 Chevy pickup and two Chevettes being turned into demolition derby cars were missing from the property. About 50 feet of copper wire was stripped from the house. Other items missing were a rear truck axle, an outdoor woodburner and a Chevette engine and transmission. The items were taken sometime within the past week.

Highway Patrol

– David W. Cochran, 43, Church Street, East Liverpool, was stopped in traffic on state Route 7 in Madison Township at 2:39 p.m. Oct. 27 when he was hit from behind by Madison A. Parks, 16, Maple Street, East Liver-pool. Parks was then hit by Christopher D. Heaton, 17, Kelly Avenue, East Liverpool, who was behind her. Parks and Heaton were cited for assured clear distance. Heat-on was listed with possible injuries, but no medical attention was sought.

– Michelle Buck, 26, Canfield, hit a deer on U.S. Route 62 in Knox Township at 11:40 p.m. Wednesday.

– Terrance M. Bowyer, 58, Irish Ridge Road, East Liverpool, struck and killed a deer on U.S. 30 in Madison Township at 5:24 a.m. Thursday.

Columbiana

– Cheryl Williams asked police to check on her daughter at a West Salem Street home at 12:22 a.m. Saturday. Police spoke to the resident of the home, who told them the girl was not there. They checked the home and did not find her.

– While on patrol at 1:36 a.m. Saturday, police found an occupied vehicle parked in the lot at the Upper Room Church. Police warned them for trespassing and sent them on their way.

– Police assisted a deputy who stopped a vehicle on state Route 14 at Timberline Drive at 2:07 a.m. Saturday. The deputy had to leave to handle other duties. Michael Paterchak, 50, Darlington, Pa., was cited for OVI.

– Richard Hupp, Pittsburgh Street, reported Saturday sometime overnight someone threw rocks through the windows of his garage. The rocks were found to be railroad ballast from the tracks behind his property.

– PNC Bank in Village Plaza reported at 10:22 a.m. Saturday a customer was in the bank wielding a knife and refusing to leave. After talking to police, the customer left peacefully.

– Police stopped a vehicle on Fairfield School Road, Columbiana, at 6:21 p.m. Saturday after the highway patrol reported the driver may be intoxicated. The driver was found not to be under the influence.

– Cheryl Blinsky, Pershing Street, reported at 9:17 p.m. Saturday someone was throwing pumpkins at the house. Police checked the area, but did not find anyone or any damage.

– Police went to a Sixth Street home at the request of East Palestine police at 10:17 p.m. Saturday. Police checked, but were unable to speak to the resident.

East Palestine

– A man with the East Palestine Little Bulldogs reported at 4:52 p.m. Saturday someone passed a counterfeit $20 at the game Saturday.

– High grass notifications were issued Saturday to Joan Riehl, the owner of property at 254 Park Ave.; Wells Fargo Bank, the owner of 47 Garfield Ave.; and Andrew J. Culler, the owner of 91 S. Market St.

Salem

– A patrolling officer was flagged down near North Ellsworth Avenue and East Fourth Street at 5:54 p.m. Saturday by someone who said a man had been circling the area and behaving strangely. The officer was unable to find the man.

– Police responded to a report of menacing in the 900 block of East 15th Street at 6:21 p.m. Saturday in which a man said another man had made threats toward him. No names were provided.

– Arkisha T. Pearce, 35, Youngstown, was arrested on a felony warrant out of the sheriff’s office for dangerous drugs after a traffic stop for a parking violation at Maple and Woodland at 1:05 a.m. Sunday in which she was a passenger.

– Police responded with first responders and an ambulance to a Morris Avenue home at 1:48 a.m. Sunday in reference to an unresponsive person. The was taken to SRMC.

– A patrolling officer observed a fight outside a Railroad Street bar at 3:38 a.m. Sunday and found the people to be intoxicated. William L. Michaels, 26, 278 E. Eighth St., was charged with disorderly conduct and Robert J. Daughtery, 22, 610 W. State St., was charged with persistent disorderly conduct.

– An officer responded to a North Ellsworth home at 11:21 a.m. Sunday for a report of an unruly juvenile and found a girl had ingested an unknown amount of prescription pills and began harming herself prior to the officer’s arrival. The girl was taken to SRMC.

County Sheriff

– Marcy Johnson, employee of the Quik Mart in Center Township, reported at 1:28 p.m. Friday an accident near the gas pumps. A deputy spoke with Chad Williams and Nick Mikouis. Williams said he was driving his 2000 Chevrolet Silverado between Mikouis’ 2007 Saab, which Williams thought was stopped, and a stone wall when Mikouis started driving, causing damage to the passenger side of the Saab and the driver side of the Silverado.

– Kelly Albert, Bayton Street Northeast, Alliance, reported at 4:24 p.m. Friday he was pulling out of the Sunoco gas station at the corner of Route 62 and Westville Lake Road when he was struck by Doris Watson, who was pulling into the station.

– Sarah Johnson, West Salem Street, Columbiana, reported at 9:02 p.m. Friday she was picking up her children around 6 p.m. from her ex-husband, Brandon Good, she was assaulted by Jacque Good, the wife of Johnson’s ex-husband, who refused to let Johnson have the children. Johnson said after Mrs. Good grabbed the children and asked Mr. Good to take the children into the house, Johnson grabbed the children back, and the two women got into a physical altercation which Mr. Good broke up. The children were later picked up at his parents’ house.

– Deputies assisted KLG Ambulance at 9:47 p.m. Friday with a call on Shady Lane in Lisbon where Kenny Nelder was reportedly being drunk and combative. KLG advised deputies that they calmed him down and were transporting him to Salem hospital.

Highway Patrol

– Harold J. Nichols, 43, Scio Road Southeast, Carrollton, was traveling south on state Route 9 in Hanover Township at 6:30 p.m. Thursday when he hit Amber C. Paparodis, 16, Tower Road, Salem, who was exiting the parking lot of United Local High School and failed to yield at a stop sign. Paparodis was cited for failure to yield.

– Michael P. Hanlon, 60, Chester Street, East Liverpool, was traveling north on state Route 45 in Perry Township at 9:50 p.m. Thursday when a deer ran out and struck him.

Columbiana

– Fire crews were called to Better Management on Esterly Drive at 10:04 a.m. Friday after an acetylene tank went off in the shop.

– A store clerk at the Marathon Gas station reported at 1:54 p.m. Friday a man jumped into a red Honda with a baby inside, and a female yelled and pounded on the window trying to get in. Officers spoke with Elizabeth Hoover and Craig Wilfong, who had an argument. Hoover later left in the vehicle, was stopped and cited for driving under suspension.

– A Taco Bell manager reported at 3:57 p.m. Friday a man in the lobby was yelling and left while on the phone. An officer checked the area but was unable to locate the man, who eventually went to the station and was given a verbal warning.

– A South Main Street woman reported at 5:34 p.m. Friday a gas smell coming from the area. Officers spoke with a neighbor, who said he started up his wood burner and thought the smell could have been that.

– A 16-year-old boy was reported at 6:17 p.m. Friday walking towards Columbiana Manor apartments with loud vulgar music. Officers were unable to locate the boy or the music.

– Wayne Bonsall, Fairfield Avenue, reported at 7:14 p.m. someone he knew was harassing him.

– Police assisted the county sheriff’s office at 9:54 p.m. Friday, requesting a white Camry be stopped and identified that was involved in a possible theft at an area business. Officers were unable to locate the vehicle.

– An officer met with a man in a suspicious vehicle around 9:57 p.m. Friday at the Columbiana Cemetery, who said he was looking for a friend who was walking around the area. An officer advised the man in the vehicle of the cemetery’s hours and asked him to leave, which the man obliged.

– An officer met with a person in a suspicious vehicle around 10:10 p.m. Friday near the walking trail of Firestone Park. An officer advised the person of the park’s hours and asked the person to leave.

– Police auxiliary officer Jeff Hough was patrolling in a department cruiser when he pulled into the parking lot of Elite Welding Supply, East Park Avenue, East Park Avenue, around 10:16 p.m. Friday and was backing up when he struck a post. Damage to the driver’s side was reported.

St. Clair Township

– Michael D. McAbee, Echo Dell Road, reported that sometime between Oct. 25 and Oct. 30 his residence was entered via a back window, and a blue guitar and flat screen television were removed.

– Robert Lewchenko, no address listed, reported Oct. 30 he was in the parking lot of a Calcutta-Smith Ferry Road business when he stepped on a utility cover, which came loose, and caused him to injure his ankle. He drove to a neighboring parking lot and then called police. He told police he only wanted to make sure no one else is injured. Police advised him this was a civil matter and he should contact the business owner.

Wellsville

– On Oct. 29, police were dispatched to Broadway Avenue for a disturbance. Officers found one of the individuals involved, Gerard Bryant, walking on 8th Street. He was intoxicated and said he was arguing with his girlfriend on the way back from the bar but now was going inside. Officers asked to see Bryant’s girlfriend and observed her to appear unharmed. Bryant stated he wanted his girlfriend removed from his residence. Police asked the woman to leave. Ten minutes later police were back at the scene for a report of an altercation. Upon arrival police found Bryant bloodied and stating he had been assaulted. Police spoke with those alleged to be involved, and they advised they had let Bryant into their home. Once inside, Bryant began to assault his girlfriend and another man who attempted to intervene. A man in the upstairs of the home heard the commotion and came downstairs to find Bryant assaulting the woman as well as his father. The man stated he struck Bryant in order to stop the assault. Statements were taken from all parties and an ambulance was called in to provide medical treatment for Bryant, who then taken into custody for assault and domestic violence.

– On Oct. 23, police were dispatched to 17th Street in reference to an altercation. Police did not find anyone at the scene, but were called to the police station several minutes later to meet a group of females there wanting to file a report. The females said an auto accident and an assault had occurred. The accident took place at 17th and Commerce streets when a woman who was attempting to pull away from the curb to flee someone assaulting the passenger in her vehicle. As the driver attempted to do so, she struck a gold colored SUV traveling in the southbound lane. The female driver attempted to exchange information with the driver of the gold colored SUV but he told her “everything is cool” and left the scene.

– On Oct. 23, police were called to Commerce Street residence regarding an assault. Police spoke with a female resident who stated she had been assaulted by a woman who resides in Shaub Towers. An argument arose between the two women when the Shaub Towers woman came to pick up her brother at the Commerce Street woman’s residence. The Commerce Street woman did not want the woman’s brother to leave and the argument escalated to the point where the Commerce Street woman allegedly struck the Shaub Towers woman. Neither party wished to file charges.

– On Oct. 23, police received a call from a woman reporting being struck in the face by her boyfriend. Police met the woman at her resident on Main Street and she said she and her boyfriend, James Silverman, had gotten into an argument which led to Silverman grabbing her, throwing her on the bed and punching her in the face. The woman stated she bit Silverman to get him off her. Police inspected the woman’s face and observed a large amount of swelling underneath her left eye. Police made contact with Silverman at his residence and asked him what had happened. He stated he had in fact struck the woman but said he was defending himself. Officers observed a mark on his right arm. Silverman was taken into custody for domestic violence.

– On Oct. 22, police were dispatched to Broadway Avenue in reference to a hit-skip accident. Police spoke with the juvenile daughter of the owner of one of the vehicles. She stated she had left the residence earlier that day and returned to find her grandmother’s car had been hit. A Plymouth van and Chevy Trailblazer both showed evidence of being hit. There were no witnesses, but a white paint transfer was visible on the rear panel of the vehicle.

Salem

– A Franklin Avenue woman reported at 8:55 a.m. Thursday that her male foster child had run away that morning after she returned him to school.

– A Jones Drive resident reported on station at 9:25 a.m. Thursday that he received an email requested confirmation for activation of a card from a company that he had never heard of.

– A woman reported on station at 10:20 a.m. Thursday that a student at Reilly Elementary had assaulted her and other staff members on Wednesday.

– An officer responded to a South Lincoln Avenue office at 2:33 p.m. Thursday where a man reportedly expressed suicidal thoughts. The man was voluntarily transported to Salem hospital for treatment.

– An officer responded to the 200 block of Fair Avenue at 3:27 p.m. where a resident reported finding a check that didn’t belong to her in the back seat of her vehicle. She said that her grandson had been driving the vehicle. The check was returned to the owner who said that the signature on the back was not his.

– An officer responded to the area of Southeast Boulevard and East State Street at 4:21 p.m. Thursday to search for a run away juvenile whose aunt reported he fled on foot. The juvenile was found and turned over to his aunt.

– An officer responded to a possible drug overdose in the 1200 block of Cedar Ridge Drive at 5:22 p.m. Thursday but everyone at the home said that everyone was fine.

– Officers responded to a business in the 2400 block of East State Street at 8:11 p.m. where an employee reported a woman left the store without paying for a cart of groceries, loaded them into a vehicle and drove away.

– An officer responded to the 1100 block of East Third Street at 8:31 p.m. Thursday for a fight between two people in the street near a car but was unable to find anyone.

– Police responded to a report of a man with a gun in the 400 block of Jennings Avenue at 9:56 p.m. Thursday but were unable to find anyone.

– An officer responded to the 300 block of East State Street at 9:57 p.m. Thursday for a report of juveniles playing on the scaffolding in front of a building but was unable to find anyone.

– An officer responded to the 2700 block of East State Street at 12:31 a.m. Friday for a report of a suspicious vehicle in a business parking lot but was unable to find anything.

– An officer responded to a home in the 1100 block of East Third Street at 5:53 a.m. Friday for a report of a man on the front porch looking into the windows but was unable to find anyone.

– An officer responded to the Salem High School at 10:25 a.m. Friday where a staff member reported a student under the influence of a drug. The student was arrested and turned over to his father.

– An East Third Street resident reported at 3:41 p.m. Friday that her daughter in Alliance had been calling her about the discipline of her children, of whom the resident had custody. The daughter was told to cease calling her mother and to contact the Stark County Courts if there is a problem. The daughter did not agree with the advice and was warned of the consequences of her actions.

– Anne M. Grande, 37, 483 E. Euclid St., Salem, was charged with assault after an officer responded to the intersection of South Union Avenue and Oak Street in reference to a fight in the roadway at 5:44 p.m. Friday and she was found to be the aggressor.

– Jamie D. Ingledue, 32, 13474 Diagonal Road, Salem, was charged with theft after allegedly attempting to steal $42.61 of merchandise from a 2400 block East State Street business at 6:16 p.m. Friday.

– A 400 block Columbia Street resident reported at 7:39 p.m. Friday that someone had attempted to force entry into an apartment, damaging the rear dead bolt, but that nothing appeared to be missing.

– Police responded to an Arch Street home at 9:26 p.m. Friday where a resident reported his daughter had taken his vehicle after being told not to. While the officer was on scene, the daughter returned and was warned against her actions.

– Officers responded to an East Third Street home to check on the resident at 10:20 p.m. Friday, but found no one at home. Neighbors said they saw the man that morning, so first responders arrived to force entry. The man was found inside unresponsive to officers. He was transported by ambulance to the Salem hospital.

– A patrolling officer made contact with two people in a vehicle parked at Centennial Park at 2:48 a.m. Saturday and advised them to leave.

– Delaney M. Brown, 165 Chris Ave. C5, Washingtonville, was charged with operating a vehicle intoxicated following a traffic stop for speed in the 1900 block of East State Street at 2:55 a.m. Saturday.

– Dustin R. McMillen, 21, last of 1341 Fairview Ave., Salem, was charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest after an officer responded to the 800 block of South Lundy Avenue at 4:14 a.m. Saturday in reference to several loud people in the roadway and he refused to calm down. The people were found to be intoxicated and McMillen had been in a physical altercation, although nobody wished to pursue the matter.

– An officer responded to a report of a combative patient in the Salem hospital emergency room at 9:20 a.m. Saturday. The male patient agreed to calm down.

– Joann K. Berry, South Madison Street, Salem, was eastbound in the 2000 block of Oak Street at 11:12 a.m. Saturday when she passed a parked FedEx truck also eastbound and struck the driver, Jesus Santiago of Warren, who had exited the right side of the vehicle but ran around the front of the truck and into traffic. Santiago was transported by ambulance to the Salem hospital.

Perry Township

– Police and EMT Ambulance responded to a Benton Road home at 6:03 a.m. Thursday in reference to a 74-year-old woman having a possible heart attack. The woman was transported to the Salem hospital emergency room.

– Police spoke with a South Lincoln Avenue woman at 7:03 a.m. Thursday who said she believed someone was trying to enter her home using a key. She turned on the front porch light to see who it was but was unable to see anyone.

– Police responded to a unruly juvenile report at the C&C Trailer Court on West State Street at 5:09 p.m. Thursday and found the juvenile refused to obey his parents when sent to his room for using abusive language toward them. The officer spoke with the parents and child, explained the rules of the house and advised the parents of their options.

– A Filmore Avenue resident reported on station at 7:53 p.m. Thursday that his partner had locked him out of their residence after an argument. The officer advised the man of his options.

– A Plymouth Place resident reported at 6:19 a.m. Friday that her daughter was home alone and called her to say she heard noises outside the residence and that the dogs appeared agitated. An officer responded to check the exterior of the home and found nothing amiss. The daughter declined to have the interior searched due to the dogs.

POLICE

County Sheriff

– Margaret Buccilli, Lower Elkton Road, Columbiana, reported at 8:41 a.m. Friday she was outside after putting her daughter on the school bus and a black pickup pulled into her driveway. The driver questioned her about whether her boyfriend was home, asking for him by name, and asked her other questions she considered personal. She walked away and the man left.

– Lana Ferguson, Elm Street, Lisbon, reported a small black Ford Ranger pulled across the road from her house at 8:07 a.m. Friday, parked with the headlights directed into her house windows. When she went to the window the driver began flashing the high and low beams and rev the engine. The truck stayed about five minutes before leaving.

– Tiffany Craig, Tyler Road, Salem, reported at 9:21 a.m. Thursday she made a 14-day online purchase, but canceled it on the 14th day. Her account was still charged about $80. She has tried to call the number for the company, but was disconnected.

– Lisa Becka, Kelly Park Road, Leetonia, reported at 10:38 a.m. Tuesday her stepmother was threatened by her nephew, who has been living in the basement. The stepmother reported her nephew has been verbally abusive and she is fearful for both her safety and the safety of her husband, who will soon be released from the hospital.

– Allen Ostadal, Homeworth Road, Homeworth, reported at 12:23 p.m. Tuesday he has been receiving calls from a man claiming to be from the IRS attempting to scam him out of money. The person told him he owes $8,000, for which he wanted Ostadal to go to Rite Aid and get a money card to cover. Knowing it was a scam Ostadal gave the man a fake number for a card, which the man then checked and said did not work. He then requested Ostadal go get another card from Circle K. Ostadal filed the report hoping others would be aware of the scam.

– Fred Jennings, Jersey Ridge Road, Salem, reported at 1:49 p.m. Tuesday he believes someone is attempting to scam him by phone. He received a voice mail claiming he would be hauled into court if he did not call back a phone number and give them his Social Security number and date of birth. He did not give them any information.

– Mitchell Adams, First Street, Hanoverton, reported at 3:10 p.m. Tuesday he is the executor of his father’s estate. The home was locked when he was away over the weekend, but unlocked when he returned on Tuesday. Nothing appeared missing from inside the house. The chicken coop was open, but all nine chickens were inside. A wheelbarrow was taken.

– Kim Weston, Lakeview Drive, Hanoverton, reported at 9:19 a.m. Thursday she believes someone has stolen a large number of checks from her 86-year-old grandmother and cashed them. Additionally, she believes her mother signed some checks so someone could make small purchases for her such as milk, bread and gasoline, but the person later filled them out for between $50 and $250. Additionally, she believes the same person took an envelope containing $340, which belongs to her brother.

– Tedd Marrouis, Shady Lane, Salem, reported at 4:05 p.m. Thursday he has a shed on a piece of property on Whinnery Road and the drive leading to the property has a chain with a no trespassing sign hanging from it. Someone had pried the wood around the padlock on the shed and had stolen a full can of gas.

– Carey Powell, no address listed, reported at 5:34 p.m. Thursday she found the front door open to her mother’s home on state Route 45, Lisbon. Someone had ransacked several rooms and stole a gaming system along with costume and antique jewelry.

– Brenner Burd, West Texas, Sebring, reported at 7:25 p.m. Thursday while he was at a Center Road home in Knox Township dropping off his child to his ex-wife, his ex-wife’s fiance, Chad Langtes, threatened him. Langtes allegedly told Burd numerous times he needed to leave or he was going to physically harm him.

– While attempting to serve a summons to Dana Duffield, Center Avenue, Lisbon, at 6:21 p.m. Thursday, deputies saw Floyd Gilmore start to come outside the front door of the trailer. After seeing deputies, he turned and ran back inside. Duffield came into the living room when deputies yelled inside the open door. She was bleeding from the right corner of her eye and claimed Gilmore punched her in the eye because she was talking on the phone. He also allegedly grabbed her right arm and twisted it. Deputies checked the trailer and could not find Gilmore inside. He was located at his mother’s trailer behind that one. He claimed to be there eating dinner. Gilmore was charged with domestic violence.

Columbiana

– A Bittersweet Drive woman reported at 1:11 p.m. Thursday two people were going door to door on Bittersweet Drive. Police found the people and learned they were campaign workers and there were no problems.

– Jeremy Drew was taken into custody on a warrant out of New Waterford at 21 West Park Ave. at 2 p.m. Thursday.

– Gregory A. Hosetter, 42, Rogers, was cited for driving under suspension following a traffic stop on Park Avenue near Vine Street at 4:29 p.m. Thursday.

– Brian S. Green, 38, Leetonia, was cited for driving under suspension following a traffic stop on Metz Road near Fairfield Avenue at 6 p.m. Thursday.

Highway Patrol

– Stephen Westover, 24, Clarkson Road, Rogers, was westbound on Dutchtown School Road in Elkrun Township at 3 a.m. Thursday and failed to negotiate a curve and went off the right side into an embankment. He was cited for failure to control.

– Joseph J. Moore, 41, Akron, was southbound on Depot Road in Butler Township at 7:20 p.m. Tuesday and hit a deer.

– David W. Cochran, 42, Church Street, East Liverpool, was southbound on state Route 7 in Madison Township at 7:40 p.m. Wednesday and hit a deer.

– Kenneth R. Beeson, 48, state Route 9, Salem, was backing southbound into a private drive on state Route 9 in Hanover Township at 8:35 p.m. Wednesday and was struck by Deborah L. Kirsch, 59, state Route 172, East Rochester, who was also southbound on state Route 9. Kirsch was taken to St. Elizabeth hospital with minor injuries.

– Arnett P. Baker, 68, Hogue Road, Salineville, was eastbound on state Route 518 in Madison Township at 8 p.m. Wednesday and hit a deer.

– Rebecca S. Neville, 47, Glenn Street, East Liverpool, was southbound on Y&O Road in Madison Township at 7 p.m. Thursday and hit a deer.
