Court News In Columbiana County Common Pleas Court: — Sakeem J. Griffin, 26, Cincinnati, was placed under community control for six months, non-reporting, after pleading guilty to a lesser-included offense of theft, a misdemeanor. Griffin was originally charged with grand theft, a fourth-degree felony, for stealing $11,697 over a period from April 29, 2024 to June 28, 2024 from TG Realty. Salem Parks Commission approves equipment repairs

SALEM — The parks commission approved equipment repairs in its May meeting. Parks Foreman Wes Bryan told the commissioners that he spoke with Unkefer Sales, a Kubota dealer based in Minerva, and the estimated cost of repairs necessary to return the parks department’s Kubota to working condition was $4,500. However, the cost to repair all its issues was estimated to be closer to $10,000. EAST LIVERPOOL — East Liverpool City School District Superintendent Jonathan Ludwig shared highlights from across the district in his report to the school board May 28. “East Liverpool City Schools continues to celebrate student achievement, academic excellence and community partnerships as the 2025-2026 school year comes to a close,” Ludwig said.
