Opening day scheduled for Thompson Park Pool

EAST LIVERPOOL — The Thompson Park Pool’s opening date has been confirmed by East Liverpool Mayor Bobby Smith as June 17. As they have for the past several years, firefighters from the East Liverpool Fire Department have been working to get the pool ready to open for the 2026 Season. Chief Antony Cumo, Lt. Josh Coil and Firefighter Clayton Elliott volunteered their time to clean and prep the pool. First responders, veterans program set to receive state funding

EAST PALESTINE — A program aimed at helping first responders and veterans rest, restore and refresh plans to use $100,000 from Ohio’s capital budget for a pavilion and trails at the wooded retreat known as Camp Braveheart.
